Moreover, Complex caught up with the New York MC for his take on the debate at the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game. While LeBron just became the NBA’s all-time scorer, Joey Crack still stood by Jordan’s legacy in the game. Even though he made his opinion clear, he still showed a lot of love to the current Laker.
“MJ’s the GOAT,” the “Lean Back” star expressed on the red carpet of the big game. “We love LeBron. LeBron is the greatest, at this time. Actually, we worship LeBron. We love him to death, but MJ’s the GOAT.” However, Complex asked other celebrities like Cordae, who had a different perspective. “I wasn’t alive when MJ was playing,” the North Carolina rapper explained. “So I can only speak on what I’ve seen and LeBron has been doing the damn thing.” Even LeBron himself would agree. Of course, Joe’s one of the most prolific Air Jordan collectors in the rap game, so his take is unsurprising.
Meanwhile, other hip-hop figures congratulated James on passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the league’s all-time scorer. For example, Jay-Z gave LeBron his flowers in a tribute video played by TNT. Not only did the arguably greatest rapper of all time acknowledge the NBA star’s 20-year career, but also its unique legend status. “Being able to perform at a high level for a long period of time, you know, that’s excellence,” Hov remarked. “Long after you’ve gone, people, they’re looking at your name. Dwayne Herelle Jr., a former M-1 Global MMA fighter, is currently on trial for the murder of his ex-girlfriend. The woman in question, 24-year-old Irene Torres, was found by officials after Herelle gave them the location of the body, which he hid. The traumatic events that led to her death were divulged by officials last week as the suspect remains behind bars. Her sister states this has been an “unimaginable loss” for their family.
Herelle Jr., 28, had his preliminary hearing in Tennessee on Wednesday, Feb. 15. During this, friends and family of the slain woman were forced to hear the harrowing details of Torres’ demise. Metro Nashville Police Department told the court the two had worked together at a bar on Broadway. It’s not clear if that’s where they met or formed their relationship.
Some time after, however, the couple’s union became abusive—physically and emotionally—according to reports. According to her older sister, Reyna Douglas, “Irene spent some of the last months of her young life abused, degraded, terrorized, and fearful.” A month prior to Torres’ death, she and Herelle had broken up—a move Douglas cites as a “brave decision” upon her sister’s return home. Irene was “happy to start her new life with the support of her family.” Torres and Herelle Jr. parted ways on December 29, 2022. Exactly one month later, sadly, the two got into a heated in front of Torres’ family home. It resulted in Herelle Jr. ambushing her from behind and stabbing her an immense 17 times.
According to the details on her GoFundMe page, he then “took Irene’s lifeless body and transported her across the county and dumped her in a plastic bin in his closet.” The former MMA fighter went on to dump her pants and purse behind a local grocery store. Herelle Jr. confessed after being confronted by the woman’s father. Irene Torres fundraiser page has received nearly $20,000 and has since closed. Yesterday (Feb. 19), her sister announced her memorial was held over the weekend. “It is comforting to see how many people loved and cared for Irene and how many lives she touched,” Douglas wrote in an update. Overall, the remaining funds will be donated to a local domestic violence charity on her family’s behalf.

Syko Bob has continued to keep his foot on the gas since the project’s release, though we haven’t received a full-length project from him since 2021’s Syk The Snipe Vol. 1. On February 12th, Diana Deets (known online as “Coconut Kitty”), committed suicide. The OnlyFans model, who also was a mother, had received backlash after editing her photos to look child-like. According to the New York Post, Deets had previously suffered from depression. Her mental state may have been triggered further by the negative comments she received in light of the “pedo-baiting” allegations.
In a 2021 interview with Rolling Stone, Deets mentioned, “I did get tired of people commenting on my looks when I was camming. It kinda bothered me.” The magazine notes that the content creator, who also worked as an artist, initially had an interest in selling acrylic paintings. “I was like, ‘How can I make money off my art?’ and that’s how I decided to do digital art,” she explained to the outlet, “and that’s how I created Coconut Kitty.”
“Coconut Kitty” was derived from Deets’s desire to create a “real-life anime” character. As a result, the Californian mom transformed her photos to reflect a small chin and big eyes. “I just wanted to create a fantasy, just a character,” Deets shared, “and I was able to hide my identity and still make money off my art.”
Still, the “fantasy” created by the OF model was quickly criticized, with anti-porn advocate Kate Oseen accusing Deets of “grooming,” as reported by Rolling Stone. Despite the controversy that Deets’ career had stirred up, her friends and family mourn their loss. A statement addressed to “all lovers and fans of Coconut” was posted on the late performer’s Instagram account to inform her 5.4 million followers of her death.
The post stated, “It’s unfair. Life is unfair. We wish you guys could get to know her the way her friends and family did. See, she was such a light to this world. Truly she was always glowing. You could never slow that girl down.” The statement continued to recognize Deet’s upbeat attitude, noting how she always wanted the best for everyone.

According to several confirmed reports, 28-year-old MMA fighter Dwayne Herrelle Jr. stabbed and killed his ex-girlfriend at her parents’ Nashville home late last month. His former girlfriend, Irene Torres, was only 24 years old.
After the murder, Herrelle allegedly put her bloody boy in the trunk of his car and put her remains in his apartment closet in Bellevue, Tennessee. Derry Baltimore, the Metro Nashville Police Department Detective who arrived at the murder scene, was present at Herrelle Jr.’s sentencing.
“They got into an argument and he begins stabbing her and after stabbing her he put her in the trunk of his car,” Baltimore told reporters. “I was told while I was standing there with the doctor that she was stabbed in excess of 17 times…“[When] we went to the closet area, and I could see the victim inside of a clear tote like she was wrapped in some type of comforter.”

Over the weekend, a video began to circulate of a young artist by the name of LoveBenJi saying that he is the “hidden” son of Hip Hop pioneer LL Cool J, but he only knows his dad as James Todd Smith.
LoveBenJi goes into detail about him signing an allegedly bogus non-disclosure agreement that would prevent the public from knowing anything of his existence. Not to mention that LoveBenJi looks JUST like Ladies Love. He also added that his alleged father occasionally sends him a modest $200 a month, but has him blocked on all social media.
“It takes a lot of courage for me to able to talk about this now at the age that I am,” Love Benji said. “They made me sign the paperwork, you know, they didn’t want it to go public.
