Chris Brown Joins Vedo On “Do You Mind” Single: Stream
Another New Music Friday is upon us, and several of our favourite R&B artists are coming in hot already in 2023. Earlier, we debuted a new song from Queen Naija, “Let’s Talk About It.” Now, we have a collaborative track from two talented male artists – Vedo and Chris Brown – for your streaming pleasure.
Their joint effort is called “Do You Mind,” and it’s just as catchy and infectious as one would expect from these two. For his part, Breezy flirtatiously lyricizes, “I like what I like, I’m not the type that’s gon’ be stalkin’ you / Oh, I know I’m a player but I’ll wait up, shoot my shot and then I follow through.”
Vedo carries on the chorus as he sings, “Do you mind if I come through? Mind if I touch you? Mind if I mess up your frontal? Pour it up, roll it up, wе can smoke too.”
As Rated R&B notes, the new arrival marks the second single from the artist’s forthcoming Mood Swings project. It’s due out next Friday (January 13) via New Wav Music Group/Island Prolific/EMPIRE.
The last single shared by Vedo is “Forever,” which landed back in November of 2022. The next month, he additionally treated fans to a live performance video of the same track.

Shawnna Uses Her “Gettin’ Some” Hit To Troll Keith Murray
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, or so they say, and Shawnna is taking that advice. The Rap veteran found herself at the center of strange controversy following remarks by Keith Murray. Her fellow Hip Hop icon sat down for an explosive interview with The Art of Dialogue that went viral for all the wrong reasons. During the conversation, Murray explicitly detailed an alleged sexual encounter with Shawnna many years ago.
Murray even stood up during the interview and demonstrated the purported interaction, and soon, people were storming Shawnna’s social media pages with reactions. She returned with a message for her new followers.

However, Shawnna wasn’t quite finished giving Murray a piece of her mind. On Instagram, the DTP hitmaker used her “Gettin’ Some” classic to troll Murray. Several moments from his interview were spliced into Shawnna’s track, and she teased him in the caption.

Hollywood Cole Reflects On Producing For Lil Wayne, Drake, Dom Kennedy & More For “On The Come Up”
Who Is Hollywood Cole?
Producer tags are everything. At their best, they are immediately recognizable, an informal call that sparks excitement for what’s coming next. Thus, when you hear a tag like, “Cole…You Stupid,” you already know what’s going down.
The aforementioned tag that calls back to the classic ‘90s sitcom Martin belongs to none other than Hollywood Cole, a rapidly rising producer with ties to both the West Coast — through his birthplace of Seattle, Washington — and the East Coast — through his upbringing in Virginia. After winning a beat battle at Wish Atlanta that was judged by Sonny Digital, Cole started linking up with big-name artists and producers in Atlanta, which eventually led to his work with Quentin Miller and four beat placements on Dom Kennedy’s 2020 album, Rap N Roll. Roughly a month after Rap N Roll, Cole got an even bigger look, as a beat that he produced became Lil Wayne and Drake’s acclaimed “B.B. King Freestyle” collaboration from 2020’s No Ceilings 3.
From that point on, Hollywood Cole’s work has been featured on countless major Hip-Hop releases, from Isaiah Rashad’s The House Is Burning single “Lay Wit Ya,” and G Herbo’s “Statement” to Latto’s 21 Savage-assisted 777 single “Wheelie,” Buddy’s “Wait Too Long,” and J.I.D.’s The Forever Story album cut “Sistanem.”

Bryan Kohberger Update: Alleged Killer Seen Throwing Trash In Neighbour’s Bins Before Arrest
Now that he’s back in Idaho and has attended his first hearing, more details regarding the arrest of 28-year-old Bryan Kohberger are coming out. Needless to say, they’re as chilling as many anticipated. However, authorities still aren’t able to paint a full picture for the public.
At the end of 2022, the criminology student was apprehended by the FBI in Pennsylvania. At this time, he’s the only known suspect in the murder of four young University of Idaho students.
As we previously reported, Kohberger and his father drove home from Idaho to Washington for the holidays. During their trip, the duo was stopped twice by Indiana state police. At this time, it’s believed these were planned pullovers to obtain more information on the suspect without spooking him.
According to CNN, authorities also kept watch over their target when he arrived at his parent’s house. A law enforcement source tells the outlet that investigators witnessed as he “cleaned his car, inside and outside, not missing an inch.”
The team assigned to Kohberger was tasked with keeping an eye on him until a warrant was obtained. Additionally, they had to gather an item that could be used to collect a DNA sample.
Officers saw the suspect numerous times outside in Pennsylvania, often wearing surgical gloves. At one point, he headed outside around 4 AM and put trash bags in his neighbours’ bins. They then collected garbage from both the family home and Kohberger’s backup spot and sent it off to the Idaho State Lab.
Last Friday (December 30), a local SWAT team moved in on the family home. Both the door and windows were broken down in what’s known as a “dynamic entry” that’s typically only used with “high-risk” suspects.
After a long trip across the country via plane, Kohberger appeared in Idaho court yesterday (January 5). The previous night, he was booked into the Latah County jail on four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary.
He is facing the death penalty, which some of the victim’s parents have already said they support.

However, there’s a possibility Ye might make his first public appearance of the year in Ghana. According to Ebenezer Donkoh, Ye might be a surprise guest at Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa’s Black Star Line Festival.
“I’m gathering info that Kanye West will be the surprise act at the Black Star Line Festival in Ghana this weekend,” Donkoh tweeted on Thursday.
For the most part, fans haven’t caught Kanye in the public eye after his string of media appearances to close out 2022. However, rumors floated around that the artist was gone missing. A report that his ex-business manager struggled to get in contact with the artist spurred the rumors.
At this point, there’s little information available surrounding Ye’s potential appearance. However, there’s been a few celebrity appearances in Ghana this week, including Dave Chappelle. The comedian served as the “special guest” at a talk at the University of Ghana East Legon. During the conversation, Chappelle, and Chance The Rapper discussed the possibility of opening a comedy club in the country.
Chance and Vic Mensa’s efforts in Ghana will bring some incredible talents to the stage. Erykah Badu, T-Pain, Sarkodie, Tobe Nwigwe, Asakaa Boys, and M.anifest will also be gracing the stage.
