Young Thug’s Mistrial Motion Was Denied Even After The Judge Criticized The Prosecution’s Case

Yesterday (September 30), the Young Thug racketeering trial featured yet another explosive twist after the judge presiding over the proceedings lit into the prosecutors for presenting such a sloppy case. However, despite this, the defense’s request for a mistrial has been denied yet again, as the trial enters its 139th day.

Judge Paige Reese Whitaker appeared to be fed up with Chief Assistant District Attorney Adriane Love’s behavior for the past month, saying, “It is baffling to me that somebody with the number of years of experience that you have, time after time after time, continues to seemingly and purposefully hide the ball to the extent you possibly can, for as long as you possibly can.

“I really don’t want to believe that it is purposeful, but honestly, after a certain number of times, you start to wonder how can it be anything but that,” she continued. “Unless it is just that you are so unorganized that you are throwing this case together as you try it.”

Judge Whitaker was assigned to the trial after its previous judge, Ural Glanville, was removed in the wake of controversy surrounding his declaring Young Thug’s defense attorney, Brian Steel, in criminal contempt of court.

NLE Choppa’s Baby Momma Puts IG Live In Charge Of Watching Her Child

NLE Choppa is always putting himself in some sort of position to be ridiculed. Whether it be his songs or activity on social media, his ability to get people riled up needs to be studied. For example, just a few weeks ago, he got people on Twitter all wound up over his “I’m Coming Out…” tweet. It turned out to be for a new single, as well as a reveal for a new album and apparel drop. This led to some divide, as some think he’s leveraging his love from the LGBTQ+ community too much. However, one of his baby mommas, Marissa Da’Nae, swooped in to defend his actions.

“He’s not gay, he’s just trolling y’all because y’all think he gay. Or whatever the f***, I don’t know why y’all troll him”. Now, though, it seems Choppa’s controversial behavior is rubbing off on Marissa, at least in the eyes of some online. According to a repost from livebitez, the mother of two of NLE Choppa’s kids hopped on IG Live while tending to their youngest, Chozen Wone. She appears to get some groceries delivered to the house, so she asks her audience to watch him while she’s away for a moment.

Fans Don’t See Any Issue With What NLE Choppa’s BM Did

However, when she’s gone, you can still hear Marissa in the background while Chozen looks adorable in his playpen. She returns just seconds later, so we aren’t really sure as to why some are blowing this out of proportion. A fair number of people agree with our analysis, saying, “So, she was gone for less than a minute, I can’t stand these “perfect moms”. “This happens all day every day, he’s in a safe area in his play pen. I don’t get the issue”, another adds.

What are your thoughts on NLE Choppa’s baby momma leaving their child to be watched by IG Live viewers? Are people blowing this out of proportion, why or why not? Do you think him or Marissa Da’Nae will respond? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding NLE Choppa. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the worlds of music and pop culture.

Kendrick Lamar Caught Filming Scenes For “South Park” Creators’ New Movie

Kendrick Lamar was spotted in California, this week, filming scenes for South Park co-creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s next project. In a video circulating on social media, the “Not Like Us” rapper gets to work on the highly anticipated live-action comedy. He and his collaborator, Dave Free, are serving as producers behind the scenes. It’s slated to hit theaters on July 4, 2025.

In a statement provided to Variety, earlier this year, Paramount CEO Brian Robbins said: “This script is one of the funniest and most original scripts we’ve ever read and it’s certain to create some fireworks.” According to Entertainment Tonight, it will “depict the past and present coming to a head when a young Black man who is interning as a slave re-enactor at a living history museum discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his.”

Kendrick Lamar Accepts Best Rap Album Grammy Award

Lamar previously collaborated with Stone and Parker on his “The Heart Part 5” music video in 2022. They helped him work on the deep fake technology used to switch his face between Kobe Bryant, Will Smith, Jussie Smollett, and OJ Simpson. It’s unclear whether Lamar will be making an appearance in the film, but if he does, it won’t be his first time stepping in front of the camera. He acted in 50 Cent’s hit series, Power, as well.

Kendrick Lamar Collaborates With Trey Parker & Matt Stone

The film with Matt Stone and Trey Parker continues a busy year for Lamar who has already dropped one of the most popular songs in the last several months in “Not Like Us.” Additionally, the NFL announced that he’ll be headlining the upcoming Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. Brodie Fresh Teases Upcoming Album With Boldy James Joint “Boldy Fresh”

Brodie Fresh has been rapping for about eight years now, but fairly sporadically. 2022 is sort of the year in which his production began to pick up quite a considerable amount. That would be the point in his career in which he would release his first project, Lost & Found. He would get some features from some more recognizable names such as Kirko Bangz and Conway the Machine. That latter collaboration would lead to Brodie becoming an opener for the Griselda affiliate’s recent Slant Face Killah tour. Moreover, it’s led to them collaborating together not too long ago for “Lo Island”. But Brodie Fresh isn’t stopping there this year, in April, he put out his second project, A Kid From Elmont: Fosters Meadow Side A. But at just seven tracks, it felt like more of a sampler. It turns out we were correct because the New York native is gearing up for a third tape called Dogma.

The business owner (car detailing) and rapper announced this news to his IG just hours ago. “Album Officially Turned in 🥂Heart & Soul in everything I do! I appreciate everyone tapped in. Let’s take this to the Moon 🌙 ‘DOGMA’ The Album 💿”. It will be out exactly one month from today, with potential promotional singles being “Yea”, “Lo Island”, “Hard Knock Life” with Mozzy, and “Toast” with Maxo Kream. The latest though is “Boldy Fresh” which features –you could probably guess– Boldy James. It sounds like a beat that the latter would tackle. It’s got dramatic string sections and a banging and dusty boom bap rhythm. Check out the track with the link below.

Drake Spotted In Turks & Caicos Following Tumultuous Summer

Drake is one of the biggest artists in the world. However, the last few months have been pretty difficult for him on numerous fronts. For instance, the artist is currently garnering a ton of flack for how he handled his beef with Kendrick Lamar. Following his loss, the artist has dropped a ton of music. Although, it seems like the music is not resonating. He is struggling to chart, and there are some fans out there who just cannot look at him the same.

Overall, it is going to be hard for him to get back his “cool factor” especially when you consider the devastating bars all throughout songs like “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us.” With that being said, one could make the argument that Drizzy is definitely in need of some sort of vacation. Well, it seems like that is exactly what he is doing right now. According to a new post from DJ Akademiks, Drake was spotted in Turks & Caicos which has always been his favorite destination.

Drake In His Favorite Place

One has to wonder what the artist’s moves will be when he returns from this vacation. It seems as though a new album is out of the question right now. However, you never know with Drake. In 2022, he surprised fans when he dropped off Honestly, Nevermind. Perhaps we could see another similar surprise later this year. Although for now, it would appear as though fans are asking Drake to finally take a break, something he hasn’t done in over a decade.

Let us know what you think of Drake and the summer he had, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that the artist would be better off taking an extended break for the time being? Are you still rocking with his music right now? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Dame Dash Wonders Why JAY-Z Hasn’t Spoken Up Against Diddy Amid “Freak Off” Rumors

Despite feuding with JAY-Z over the sale of his shares in Roc-A-Fella, Dame Dash says the legendary rapper is still a “pillar of hip-hop” and doesn’t want anything bad to happen to him. The topic arose for Dame while speaking with America Nu about the allegations surrounding Diddy. Dame says he wants to know why JAY hasn’t spoken out about the situation.

“Watching what’s going on with Puff, it doesn’t feel good,” Dame began. “I don’t want to see someone… die or be tortured. I’m not going to celebrate the pain of anybody, any human being, even if they deserve it. The things that they’re saying… they’re terrible. It’s hard for me to even think that any of those things can be true. I don’t want them to be true. They’re saying they’re going to pick him up next year. I don’t want to see that man go to jail.”

From there, Dame discussed the hypothetical idea of JAY-Z getting roped up into the allegations. “As much as he’s been to me unfair toward, or not unfair, the way he’d be f*cking with my money, I want to hope that that’s the worst that he’s been doing,” Dame said. “I would never want to hear like, ‘Jay at the freak off party’, that’s crazy. The sh*t they saying, and I just be wondering why nobody… he don’t say nothing about it.” He added: “It would be such another big blow for Hip-Hop, regardless of what, perception-wise, Jay is also a pillar of Hip-Hop, and if anything bad happens to him, then it’s really going to look crazy for Hip-Hop. Jay’s supposed to be my son’s godfather. How does he do that to Boogie’s godson’s father?”

Dame Dash Speaks On Diddy & JAY-Z

Check out Dame’s full comments on Diddy and JAY-Z below. They come after authorities in New York arrested Diddy, earlier this month, on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. He’s already pleaded not guilty to the crimes. Be on the lookout for further updates on Dame Dash on HotNewHipHop.

Chrisean Rock Reacts After Timbaland Flips Her Gospel Snippet Into A New Song

A few days ago, Chrisean Rock shared a moving post to Instagram. In it she essentially tells her fans that she’s looking to do better for herself and for her son. How is she doing this you ask? The all-powerful spirit above. “Embracing a new life and walking in purity is a beautiful journey, one that reflects the transformative power of God’s love and grace. As you continue to shine brightly in your purity, remember that it’s a reflection of God’s work within you, drawing you closer to Him and to the life He has envisioned for you”. Furthering her commitment to Him, Rock sat down with Pastor Bryant for an enlightening conversation, according to The Shade Room.

During their interview, she talked about her incarceration, getting rid of bad habits, and this new path she’s on. Furthermore, the baby momma to Blueface also mentioned how she’s looking to make what she calls “hood gospel”. She even previewed a song she has been working on, giving Pastor Bryant some raw vocals mid-interview. People have been ridiculing her still, even though she’s looking to make life-altering changes for the better. However, there are some who were inspired by her revelation, including hitmaking producer, Timbaland.

He loved what he heard from Rock so much –especially the snippet– so he turned those lyrics and some talking points and turned it into a powerful song of his own. Fans underneath The Shade Room‘s repost of this Timbo clip were loving it, saying, “Now THATS FIRE I’m ready to stream ASAP”. “YAHWEH YAHWEH, there’s only one way and it’s God’s way 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 love this”. Chrisean also came across the snippet and replied with a brief but appropriate reaction, “Gods Plan”. While we absolutely need this song, we are also happy to see Rock for moving in this way. We hope she will continue to move down this path of betterment.

What are your thoughts on Timbaland creating a song from a Chrisean Rock interview with a pastor? Do you need this to officially release? Could Rock be turning a corner?
