Tekashi 6ix9ine Signs Massive New Record Deal With Kartel Music

Tekashi 6ix9ine does not have the hit-making capabilities that he once showcased. The rapper used to be able to top the charts with Nicki Minaj and Fetty Wap collabs. The more time that’s passed, though, the harder it’s become for 6ix9ine to generate interest in his music. He’s a celebrity more than an artist. Which is why the rapper felt the need to switch gears and sign a record deal with a brand new label. TMZ confirmed that Tekashi 6ix9ine recently signed to Kartel Music, and plans to drop an album with regional Mexican artists.

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s deal could potentially net him $6 million. His plan is to record an album that appeals to Spanish-language listeners. He also plans to tour it in Mexico, as well as Central and South America. TMZ analyzed the contract, and claimed that the rapper will be paid $1 million to complete an album with ten songs. He will subsequently be paid $250K for each concert date. All added up, this could result in the aforementioned $6 million. An impressive chunk of change for someone who, as was previously stated, has stalled on the hip hop charts. The deal came with specific conditions, however. Tekashi 6ix9ine cannot run into legal troubles, or get arrested, during the making of the album.

This is not the first time Tekashi 6ix9ine has catered to his Latino audience. His dropped a reggaeton album titled Leyenda Viva in 2023. It boasted appearances from stars like Angel Dior, Grupo Firme and Bulin 47. In addition to the album, 6ix9ine recorded collaborations with reggaeton star Anuel AA on his debut English-language album, Dummy Boy, in 2018. He has always been mindful of his worldwide audience, as he told fans via Instagram Live. He called out critics who claimed he switched up for clout. The rapper also asserted that he should be able to cater to different groups.

“You know how many Spanish n**gas is born and raised,” he asserted. “In the whole of New York City? What ya’ll trying to say, Spanish n**gas can’t eat? When you Spanish, you can only make reggaeton? It’s our culture, too, n**ga.” Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Spanish-language music has not been met with critical acclaim. That said, it hasn’t slowed him down. He recently dropped a diss song for his ex-girlfriend in Spanish. His upcoming album is set to be his most concentrated attempt at crossover success yet.

Rap diva Nicki Minaj’s Miami stop on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour on Sunday night (Oct. 6) saw an unexpected guest in the audience—her ex-boyfriend, Safaree. Social media quickly lit up with videos showing the rapper enthusiastically enjoying the concert, rapping along to some of Nicki’s biggest hits. Dressed in a denim vest and matching jeans, sunglasses, and holding a drink, Safaree was clearly in high spirits.

But check this out, in one video, Safaree can be seen in the crowd passionately reciting the lyrics to “FTCU” alongside other fans.

What’s more, in another clip, he addresses the camera, saying, “I’m loving the Gag City Tour. Wassup?”

As expected, his appearance at the show sparked a variety of reactions from fans, given the couple’s highly publicized relationship, which lasted from 2003 to 2014. Nicki is now married to Kenneth Petty, but Safaree seems unfazed by the chatter. After the concert, he took to X (formerly Twitter) to make it clear that he holds no grudges: “I’m proud no cap… a lot of y’all will never understand but there is no malice in me… I’m proud,” he wrote.

Get this, many of Safaree’s fans praised his mature approach. One user commented, “I love the fact he doesn’t let his ‘hatred’ towards his ex hold him back from giving Nicki Minaj her flowers. Maturity is real.” However, others criticized Safaree’s presence at the show, calling it inappropriate. One critic remarked, “No MALICE? You went on a whole press tour spreading lies about you writing for her, disrespected her every chance you got… what you’re doing is stalk-ish and obsessive, but I get it. Like imagine fumbling a woman like this?”

As for the tour itself, Nicki’s Pink Friday 2 World Tour: Gag City Reloaded began on September 4 in Philadelphia, supporting her December 2023 album, Pink Friday 2. The album features popular tracks such as “Everybody” with Lil Uzi Vert, “FTCU,” “Needle” featuring Drake, and “Red Ruby Da Sleeze.” The 21-city tour will conclude on October 11 with a special homecoming show in Queens.

Kanye West, Bianca Censori Reportedly Headed to Splitsville With Divorce Possibly On The Radar

Whelp, that was fun while it lasted. Looks like the good ol’ celebrity divorce rumor mill might have Kanye West and Bianca Censori on their radar as the polarizing couple are reportedly on the brink of a split, with an actual divorce likely.

According to the all seeing eyes of our friends at TMZ, Ye and Bianca, who have been married for nearly two years, have seemingly encountered a “rough patch.” Not surprising considering all the attention and pressure their union garners not to mention Kanye’s many controversies.

The media outlet noted that both Kanye (also known as Ye) and Bianca separated “a few weeks ago,” and the rapper has informed his close circle about his intentions to relocate to Tokyo and file for divorce.

Get this, Kanye has been spotted in Tokyo on two occasions—first at a pro-wrestling match on September 30, and again at a Jamaican restaurant on October 3—without Bianca by his side. Meanwhile, Bianca has reportedly returned to Australia to be with her family as they work through their marital issues.

Tokyo isn’s Kansas in terms of distance from LA, but if Bianca is back in Australia, then they’re really quite far apart.

What’s more, despite the reports of their marriage being “on the rocks,” sources close to the couple have suggested that reconciliation is still possible. The New York Post cited an insider who stated, “It’s not beyond repair.” The insider added, “Ye changes his mind all the time. It’s very possible that happens here [with the divorce].”

Now interestingly, the reason for the alleged split remains unclear, but Bianca continues to hold her position as the Head of Architecture at Yeezy. Since their secret marriage in December 2022, the pair have often appeared inseparable.

ICYMI, Kanye and Bianca originally met in 2020 when, according to a former friend of Bianca’s, Kanye reached out to her via Instagram. “Ye slid into her [Instagram] DMs and said, ‘Come and work for me,’” the friend recalled in an interview. Bianca, who was studying architecture at the University of Melbourne at the time, reportedly left college shortly after their interaction.

Back in November of last year, Bianca’s friends and family reportedly staged an intervention, concerned about the state of her relationship. One close friend told the Daily Mail, “[Bianca] knows that she has shut out those close to her, and she is also starting to see through the smoky mirrors of her marriage.” They added that Bianca had become “aware of Kanye’s controlling ways” and was beginning to gain an “outside perspective” on the situation.

If you’re keeping score, this potential journey to Splitsville would mark Kanye’s second divorce, as he was previously married to Kim Kardashian for six years. The former couple share four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

Chris Brown Producer RoccStar Claims Singer Is Being Villainized In New Doc

Chris Brown has been a controversial figure for most of his career. His talent, and his ability to make hits is undeniable. His personal life, however, has been characterized by assault charges and allegations. The latter aspect will serve as the focus of an upcoming documentary. Chris Brown: A History of Violence will detail the alleged assaults that the singer has been accused of throughout the years. The ID release will include interviews with Brown’s alleged victims. One person who is opposed to the documentary, however, is the singer’s longtime producer, RoccStar.

TMZ asked RoccStar about the documentary, and the producer made it clear that he didn’t buy into the allegations. “I don’t understand,” he stated. “He’s probably one of the nicest, coolest dudes. That’s like one of my closest friends.” RoccStar, real name Leon Youngblood, Jr., also told the outlet that he felt the singer was being victimized by his accusers. “I just realized that the documentary wasn’t a positive doc,” he admitted. “I’m lost… We’re trying to go find victims now? I think that’s unbelievable.” RoccStar added that Chris Brown is one of the most successful artists of his generation, as well as a “family man.” He’s of the opinion that the singer’s critics should “get lives” of their own.

RoccStar Feels Chris Brown Has Become The ‘Victim’

“People are just trying to bring him down,” RoccStar opined. “He’s talented, man. Let him live. Let him do his thing… Now he’s the victim.” This is not the first time the producer has spoken up in defense of Chris Brown. RoccStar talked about his long-standing relationship with the singer during a recent appearance on AllHipHop. He also spoke highly of Brown’s process, and the fact that they’ve managed to make an impressive body of work together over the years. “CB don’t really mess with people too hard,” he said. “The fact that he trusted me to come in and make sure the frequency was tuned to where he’s going, in life and with tech, with different things.”

Chris Brown and RoccStar do go way back. The latter first worked with Brown on the 2014 release X, which yielded the smash hit singles “Fine China” and “Autumn Leaves.” Other albums with RoccStar production include Indigo (2019), Breezy (2022), and 11:11 (2023). RoccStar has been most involved with 11:11, providing production and songwriting on a whopping eight songs. The two are definitely in sync when it comes to the studio. One can only assume that RoccStar is going to skip out on watching the new doc. Chris Brown: A History of Violence, meanwhile, will air on the ID channel on October 27.

Drake Notches An Incredible Streaming Stat After Becoming The Most Streamed Rapper For September

Drake, with all things considered, is still having a pretty good year. Sure, some people may be looking at him differently following the Kendrick Lamar battle, but the numbers seem to be a little conflicting. According to Akademiks TV (shocking…), he has recorded another insane streaming statistic in 2024. Just this past month, Drizzy’s numbers on Spotify eclipsed nine digits yet again. To be more exact, he clocked in around 1.1 billion. Obviously, the number of hits that he has in his possession is almost unmatched. However, despite a stacked catalog, this is still an impressive feat.

We say that because he has not really dropped anything of merit. Sure, there are the “100 GIGS” releases of “Circadian Rhythm,” “It’s Up,” “Housekeeping Knows,” as well as “No Face.” But these, along with some his features for artists like Camila Cabello, GORDO, and 4batz sort of came and went. Of course, the loss to Kendrick factors in too to some degree, making this all the more eye-popping.

With him achieving this, this also keeps another mind-bending stat alive. Over these first nine months, he’s been the most streamed rapper. Of course, with Akademiks posting this, you know there are going to be opposing fans looking to diminish this. “U need a license to ride ak,” one user on IG jokes. “Numbers don’t matter Kendrick still ended his career,” another boldly claims. Regardless, congratulations are in order for The Boy.

What are your thoughts on Drake becoming the most streamed rapper for September? Will he keep his streak alive for the rest of 2024? Does this prove anything to his haters? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Drake. Sway Calloway: I always wanted to ask you about Child Rebel Soldier.

Lupe Fiasco: Why you keep bringing up these contentious-

Sway Calloway: Is that contentious?

Lupe Fiasco: It’s kind of contentious.

Sway Calloway: I didn’t know that was contentious.

Lupe Fiasco: Not for reasons that you think. Me and P are cool. Me and Ye are cool. It’s just that the fans feel betrayed.

Sway Calloway: Because the project never happened?

Lupe Fiasco: Yeah, but then they blame me and it’s like, it ain’t my fault. It’s the two richest niggas in the group. Y’all putting it on the poorest nigga in the group to bring this across the finish line. Right? P eating caviar, golden sandwiches. Ye is stitching up two different Rick Owens coats to wear in the shower type shit. I’m trying to corral these two. God damn. Your question though. I cut it off. I’m sorry.

Halle Berry’s Ex-Husband Olivier Martinez Sold His Rolex to Pay Attorneys in Child Custody Battle

The legal battle between Halle Berry and her ex-husband Olivier Martinez over custody of their 10-year-old son, Maceo, has taken a heated turn. In a new development, Martinez has requested that the court force the Oscar-winning actress to pay his legal fees—amounting to a staggering $360,000.

According to In Touch, the French actor, 58, is asking for a total of $363,270.59 to continue his custody fight. This sum includes $320,000 for attorney fees, $25,000 for a forensic accountant, $7,500 for a custody expert, and $10,000 for transcript costs. Court documents reveal that Olivier is facing financial hardship and recently had to sell his last expensive watch, a Rolex, for $10,000 in order to hire a new lawyer after his previous legal team quit.

In the court filings, Olivier’s new attorney argued that Halle, who earns significantly more money than her ex-husband, should cover the costs of his legal representation. “Halle earns millions of dollars and likely even more with her upcoming movie release,” the lawyer stated, adding that Olivier has been asking for months for a contribution from Halle to cover his attorney fees, which she has refused. According to Olivier’s legal team, Halle’s refusal is essentially denying him access to justice.

The situation has escalated, with Olivier reportedly borrowing $45,000 to pay his legal fees, in addition to the money he received from selling his watch. He also claimed to have already paid $55,000 to his former attorneys, which he now wants reimbursed by Halle.

The custody battle comes after years of tension following the couple’s divorce. Olivier and Halle, who were married for three years, finalized their split after a lengthy legal process that resulted in Halle agreeing to pay her ex $8,000 per month in child support. Both parents were ordered to attend coparenting therapy, but Halle has expressed frustration over Olivier’s alleged failure to consistently participate in the sessions, which she believes is crucial for their son’s well-being.

Halle, who is also 58, is now seeking sole legal custody of Maceo, claiming she has spent over $200,000 in legal fees, including $55,000 paid to Olivier’s previous lawyers. She has accused her ex of dragging out the proceedings unnecessarily, opting for expensive court hearings rather than alternative dispute resolutions, which she believes would have been more cost-effective.

As the custody dispute continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether the court will grant Olivier’s request for legal fee assistance or side with Halle, who has resisted his financial demands throughout the process.

Cardi B and Offset Spark Drama at NYC Club Amidst Divorce

Cardi B Says Offset Will Address Social Media Rumors in His Forthcoming Album

Last week, everything seemed amicable between Cardi B and Offset, as the two were spotted together at Cardi’s grandmother’s 86th birthday celebration. It looked like the divorced couple, who share three children, were keeping things peaceful. But fast forward a few days, and a fresh wave of drama has fans buzzing—this time over Offset’s unexpected appearance at the same NYC nightclub where Cardi was living her best life.

The incident went down at Dream Hospitality Group’s party at The Stafford Room early Sunday morning. TMZ obtained footage showing Cardi enjoying herself, dancing and vibing to the music, oblivious to any potential drama. But that quickly changed when the DJ gave an unexpected shoutout to Offset, announcing his presence in the building. According to eyewitnesses, Cardi seemed startled by the mention, as fans wondered why her ex was at the same venue.

While Cardi was busy twerking and partying like Offset wasn’t even there, fans noticed the tension, especially since the two exes kept their distance throughout the night. Offset stayed on the opposite side of the room, and despite the club being packed with partygoers, the couple avoided any direct interaction. Eyewitnesses confirmed that Cardi and Offset didn’t arrive or leave together, nor did they hang out while at the event. Their time overlapping at the club was brief, with Offset slipping out solo, leaving Cardi to continue the night without any disruption.

Fans, however, aren’t buying that this was a coincidence. Many have accused Offset of stalking Cardi, questioning why he showed up to the same club she was at despite their divorce proceedings. The speculation comes just weeks after Cardi officially filed for divorce in July, requesting primary custody of their children.

As for the couple’s future, only time will tell, but for now, the tension between the two shows no signs of cooling off. Fans remain divided—some rooting for reconciliation, while others believe the best path forward for both rappers is to keep their distance.
