Kanye West came out with The Life Of Pablo back in 2016. Overall, this is a project that fans were extremely excited about. Although there were some detractors to the album at first, it is now considered as another classic in his discography. Moreover, there were some interesting singles that were released prior to the full release. One of those tracks was none other than “No More Parties In LA.” In fact, just a week ago today, this song turned eight years old. It is a song that features Kendrick Lamar and has some of Kanye’s best rapping of the last decade.

Ye has delivered plenty of tracks that feature great rapping over the years. However, “No More Parties In LA” is something truly special. Kendrick was at the top of his game during this era, so to have him on the song came as a surprise. Moreover, Kanye outrapped Kendrick at points. Sure, Kanye had a much longer part, but no matter. Ye was going ballistic on the song, and it made for one of the most memorable moments on all of TLOP.

These days, this track continues to live in infamy. Whenever Ye gives us a poorly phrased “Burger King” bar, fans reflect fondly on perhaps the last great verse he ever gave us. Hopefully, Ye gets back to this version of himself sometime in the future. At this point, it is hard to believe it will ever happen.

Charlamagne Tha God Dodges Jess Hilarious Question From Cam Newton

Charlamagne Tha God was quick to shut down a question from Cam Newton about Jess Hilarious after the ex-NFL QB tried to press on the comedian’s sudden departure from The Breakfast Club. As Charlamagne and DJ Envy wound down their interview with Newton, Envy mentioned that they would be happy to appear on Newton’s show “once we get our co-host”. This prompted Newton to ask what happened to Hilarious, who was named as a permanent co-host less than a month ago. Instead of answering, Charlamagne moved into thanking Newton for his time.

As a result, it’s still unclear what is going on at the popular radio show. Hilarious has been noticeably absent from the show for the past few days. Furthermore, she called out Charlamagne and Envy for their conversation comparing SZA and Mary J. Blige. “These N-ggas trash. Envy shut up! I know artists be pissed when old heads do this bc now everybody negatively comparing SZA to MJB and it ain’t even her fault! She has her own identity already [facepalm emoji].” Meanwhile, Charlamagne has also seemingly denied that Hilarious was every made a permanent host and that the decision to not to elect a third host “came from downstairs”.

Elsewhere, Newton recently revealed that there is one NFL he’d come to the league for – the Atlanta Falcons. “Me having a family now, it’s always been about family and I don’t see myself leaving Atlanta. If it’s not Atlanta, I don’t want to [come back],” Netwon told Good Morning Football this week. Newton is originally from Atlanta but played college football in Florida and Alabama before being drafted by the Panthers.

Newton has not suited up in the NFL since 2021 when he briefly returned to the Carolina Panthers. Once seen as a generational talent, Newton’s career hit an ignominious end. A string of injuries limited Newton’s ability to harness his signature dual-threat capabilities. His 2021 campaign saw him go 0-5 as a starter as the Panthers rotated between Newton, Sam Darnold, and P.J. Walker. However, it’s unlikely that the Falcons, currently quarterbacked by second-year starter Desmond Ridder, will be offering Newto a contract. Atlanta has been floated as a potential landing spot for Russell Wilson.

Pras Retrial Under Review Due To Defense Lawyer’s Incompetence: Report

Despite his guilty verdict in a federal trial for political conspiracy and money laundering, it looks like Pras will still get the opportunity to fight for a second chance. Moreover, new reports from Vulture and HipHopDX indicate that earlier this month, the court called for a hearing to discuss the rapper’s defense team for three days. This is in order to determine whether he should get a retrial given the lack of competence demonstrated by his defense attorney David Kenner. For example, Vulture reports that he outsourced work to a remote medical malpractice lawyer, filed his first motion a year after being able to do so, concealed a limiting injury, and did not bring on experienced legal practitioners to assist in the process.

“Unsuccessful is not the same as ineffective,” prosecutor Nicole Lockhart remarked. Given this perceived failure to effectively represent Pras, who faces 20 years in jail on 10 counts, Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly thinks this could warrant a more fair and prepared shot. As such, a sentence, retrial, or plea-bargain talks could surface as the court’s preferred method of handling this, although this is all still presumably under review at press time. According to this case’s conviction last April, the Fugees star allegedly lobbied illegally in the best interests of his colleagues, in-state and overseas, when it comes to campaign donations and other political and economic factors, in addition to other lawsuits.

Not only that, but Pras’ former lawyer also allegedly used artificial intelligence to craft their closing statement, tanking their chances. “Kenner’s closing argument made frivolous arguments, misapprehended the required elements, conflated the schemes and ignored critical weaknesses in the government’s case,” his new legal team stated. The A.I. program failed Kenner, and Kenner failed [Pras] Michel. The closing argument was deficient, unhelpful and a missed opportunity that prejudiced the defense.”

Meanwhile, some reports suggest Kenner actually had a financial stake in the company that created this A.I. program, but the company EyeLevel.AI denied this despite his boasting. Regardless of all this, the New Jersey-born artist maintained his innocence. “Pras was never an FBI informant,” his publicist shared. “It’s not accurate and, quite frankly, it’s dangerous. If he was an informant, he would not be on trial. ”Speaking of horrible people, this foreign-born former A+ list rapper definitely needs rehab before she tries to do a tour. It will be awful,” the anonymous clue reads. After @CelebriTEAblinds made a video suggesting Minaj is the artist in question, all hell broke loose in her DMs. “Once ugly disease allegedly is being paid to get uglier,” is what the black-haired beauty wrote.

Harbaugh, who enjoyed a successful tenure in San Francisco that was marred with front-office clashes, also spoke on his excitement for the role. “The only job you start at the top is digging a hole, so we know we’ve got to earn our way. The young quarterback, who signed a lengthy extension last offseason, is seen as an elite signal caller in the making. Herbert, entering his fifth year in the league in 2024, is still very much a diamond in the rough. He has an absolute cannon for an arm and excels in the pocket.
