Is Drake Dropping A “Rich Baby Daddy” Video? Fans Seek Answers On Rapper’s Instagram

Drake could be dropping a music video for “Rich Baby Daddy”. At least that’s what fans think based on the rapper’s social media. Images of Sexyy Red and SZA on Drizzy’s Instagram Story have led fans to believe that Drake could be hyping a potential music video for the For All The Dogs track. Featuring the two aforementioned femcees, “Rich Baby Daddy” peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, there is no further confirmation beyond the cryptic Instagram posts to confirm the theory about a music video.

Of course, Drake will be eager to steer the conversation around him back towards his music. In recent days, social media has been rife with content relating to a reported leak of an alleged sex tape featuring Drake and adult actress and activist Mia Khalifa. The existence of the tape is largely unsubstantiated but the topic has gone viral regardless. Neither party has openly addressed the rumors at this time.

Drake Asks SZA To Release “Joni”

Meanwhile, Drake recently pressed SZA to drop one of her unreleased tracks. In late January, Drizzy posted a screenshot of SZA’s published Soundcloud snippets of “Joni” to his Instagram Story. “My [goat emoji], pls drop this,” Drake added to the image. The song, first teased in 2020 during a Rolling Stone interview, has been partially released as a minute-long snippet online. The trap beat is written from the perspective of Joni Mitchell, the iconic folk musician. It’s unclear whether Drake’s endorsement will see the song finally come to light.

SZA is currently riding high after a massive win at last week’s Grammys. She, along with Phoebe Bridgers, won the 2024 Grammy for best pop dup/group performance for their track “Ghost in the Machine”. The pair most notably won the award over Taylor Swift, who was nominated for her track “Karma”, which featured Ice Spice. “Holy sh-t THANK YOU @phoebe_bridgers!!!I F-CKING LOVE YOU B-TCH !! 🥹😩Thank you to @RecordingAcad!!!!!!! I’m so grateful 🥹🙏🏾 and thank you to every producer on this record especially rob and Carter 🥹🫡🫶🏾 love u gang . WE GOT ONE !! 🤞🏾😭,” SZA wrote on X after the award was announced. “Ghost in the Machine” peaked at No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Draymond Green & Jusuf Nurkic Trade Barbs In First Meeting Since Former’s Suspension

Draymond Green and Jusuf Nurkic wasted no time in reigniting their beef as the two players faced for the first time since Green’s December suspension for striking Nurkic in the head. In the first quarter of the Warriors’ win over Phoenix, Nurkic slapped the floor and hit Green with the “too small” taunt after putting in a shot over the veteran forward. Two minutes later, Green scored on Nurkic and smacked the court just as the Suns center had. “You can’t be a nothing defender if you’re going to do that. You probably outweigh me by 70 pounds and you get put in the rim? Got to be more careful,” Green later said of Nurkic.

Despite his own role in the on-court beef, Nurkic argued that it was a “matter of time” before Green was suspended again. “It’s sad. He didn’t learn anything. Just a matter of time. He’s going to hit somebody else again. Take back everything I said. He don’t deserve a chance,” Nurkic said. However, Green chose not to elevate things when informed of his rival’s comments. “I thought I was great tonight. He tried to get in my head, and it didn’t work. If he wants me to walk around quiet, like him, I’m never going to do that. Quiet guys don’t win. He can keep rocking with that same horse that he rode in on. He can ride his a– right out of here on that same horse. It’s not working,” Green quipped.

Draymond Green Missing From Initial Team USA Olympic Pool

However, Green is still feeling some of the consequences of his rocky, suspension-filled start to the season. Last month, Green was the most notable name missing from the initial 41-player pool for the Team USA Men’s Basketball Olympic Roster. The exclusion of Green, who won gold in 2016 and 2020, was surprising given that his club head coach, Steve Kerr, is also the national team coach. However, USA Basketball executive director Grant Hill explained that it was Green’s on-court antics keeping him out of contention at the moment. “His contributions have been significant, and he is a real part of the legacy of this organization for his excellence. But I think just in lieu of sort of what’s transpired this year, we made a decision to not have [Green] on this list with this particular point in time with the process,” Hill said in a media Zoom call.

Green will be able to play his way into the roster over the next few months. The team isn’t expected to be picked until May at the earliest. Meanwhile, the rest of the list is a veritable list of bona fide NBA talent. LeBron, Steph Curry, Jayson Tatum, and Joel Embiid all appear on the list. However, there is also a cache of younger stars like Walker Kessler, Chet Holgrem, and Tyrese Haliburton.

Listen To “This Lil’ Game We Play” By Jermaine Dupri, Nelly, Ashanti, & Juicy J

It is another easy-breezy R&B track that sees each performer spitting game toward the opposite sex. Each artist is looking to keep their love interest around for some casual hangouts. This is an exciting collab for Nelly and Ashanti in particular. The reason why is because the last time they were on a song together was back in 2008. There is still no word on when Dupri will drop the EP, but you can check out “This Lil’ Game We Play” for the time being.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “This Lil’ Game We Play,” by Jermaine Dupri, Nelly, Juicy J, and Ashanti? Does this track get you excited for the upcoming EP? BabyDrill Creates A Grim Environment On His Third LP “ScoreGod”

If you were to combine the talents of Young Nudy and 21 Savage you would create BabyDrill. The Atlanta rapper blends the dark and murderous production of 21 and the vocal work of Nudy. It makes sense where he might have gotten these influences from. The up-and-comer is a signee of Nudy’s label PDE (Paradise East Records). BabyDrill got his start in 2022 and is already working with some major players in the modern hip-hop landscape. A few to name are Latto, G Herbo, and of course, the previous ones we mentioned.

Additionally, BabyDrill was also a feature on The Kid LAROI’s comeback, debut album THE FIRST TIME. You can find him on the trap banger with Future called “WHAT’S THE MOVE?” In terms of his solo career, he has two projects to his name. His most recent, MadMan, dropped in June.

Blu & Roy Royal Bleed L.A. On “Royal Blu”

Underground hip-hop has produced some of the greatest lyrical talents in the 50-year history of the genre. Blu, the sure-fire MC from California has been dropping some of the best material from the West Coast since the early 2000 decade. In fact, his 2007 record, Below The Heavens, is widely seen as one of the best rap records from that time period. Blu’s prowess lies in his lyricism and good ear for production, both of which are blatantly obvious on his newest record.

The 40-year-old prolific spitter is following up a duo of projects in 2023. Bad News was the first of the two releases and that went down in August. That was a venture with Real Bad Man, a production and streetwear company that is on the rise. Then, in early December in 2023 Blu linked with Nottz for another concise listen called Afrika.

Busta Rhymes Reflects On 50 Cent’s Work Ethic During “Final Lap” Tour: “He Don’t Play”

Busta Rhymes says that 50 Cent’s the Final Lap tour was “the most incredible tour” he’s ever been on. He performed alongside the New York rapper for over 100 shows across the globe during the second half of 2023. The tour was in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of 50’s iconic album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’. Busta discussed the experience with Big Boy for an interview, earlier this week.

“Big up to 50 Cent for bringin’ us out there on his Final Lap tour,” he said. “Not only was that probably the most incredible tour that I’ve ever been on, and I’ve been on many. I’m saying that because every night, every arena was sold out. I’ve never been on a tour for five months. […] My last show was November 21. He’s still on that same tour. 50…that’s one thing. He don’t play with that work.”

Busta is far from the first person to speak on 50’s work ethic. Tony Yayo, who also performed on the Final Lap tour, recently spoke about how draining it was during an interview with VladTV. “I’m tired, we just did six shows back to back,” Yayo said. “50’s running on the stages, lifting cranes, switching seven outfits, he goes to the gym twice a day. 50’s not f*cking around.” Check out Busta’s comments on 50 below.

Cardi B On The State Of Hip-Hop: “People Just Don’t Know What They Want”

Cardi B says that the current state of hip-hop isn’t as bad as some fans have expressed and instead, fans aren’t sure of what they want out of the genre. She discussed hip-hop during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published on Friday.

“People keep saying like, ‘Oh, the state of hip-hop is bad right now — blah, blah, blah,’” the 31-year-old began. “I don’t think it’s bad right now; I just feel like people just don’t know what they want. I feel like social media is running too much, so I just feel like just keep doing you, f*ck what people got to say.” Elsewhere in the interview, she discussed the Super Bowl, Usher’s upcoming performance during halftime, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, and more.

Cardi’s comments contradict that of Lil Yachty, who recently remarked: “Hip-hop is in a terrible place,” during Rolling Stone’s “Musicians on Musicians” event in Brooklyn. He argued: “The state of hip-hop right now is a lot of imitation. It’s a lot of quick, low-quality music being put out. It’s a lot less risk-taking, it’s a lot less originality… People are too safe now. Everyone is so safe. I rather take the risk than take the L.” Check out Cardi’s more optimistic opinion on the matter below.

Cardi B On The State Of Hip-Hop

Cardi is currently preparing for the release of her long-awaited sophomore album, which she’s said fans can expect sometime in 2024. Speaking with Ebro Darden in September, she explained that she still needed to make some tweaks to the project and it wouldn’t be ready until the following year.
