Judge Denies Bond For Young Thug And Yak Gotti At Hearing

According to several reports, a court hearing took place today (July 21) in which Young Thug and his lawyers requested a bond, but was once again denied. This means that the 31-year-old trap rapper wil remain in custody throughout the entire YSL RICO trial.

Thug’s lawyers argued that the alleged YSL leader’s health was suffering, stating that, “This lifestyle has caused physical harm to Mr. Williams.” They also said that his prior kidney problems and food with little nutrition in jail has caused their client to gain excessive weight. The judge denied their motion for bond because he stated that he was concerned about Thug’s influence.

Yak Gotti’s bond motion was also denied, with the court citing that Gotti was a flight risk and mentioned an alleged physical confrontation with another inmate. His attorneys argued that Gotti was assaulted by Fulton County Jail staff members, but their claims were unfounded.

YSL Mondo Reacts to Gunna’s Album: ‘You Still Folded On Your Ma

Screen Shot 2023 01 23 at 4.39.25 PM

YSL Mondo has heard Gunna’s new album and is delivering a message: “You still folded on your man’s”

Mondo delivered the message on his Instagram Story. “I heard your album lil buddy & like I always said we can’t take the fact that you make good music away from you but baby boy you still folded on your man’s I can’t take you serious definitely can’t take you serious rapping about street shit lol might as well go gospel my boy you done in the streets.”

This isn’t the first time Mondo has called out Gunna. In a January episode of the Ugly Money Podcast with Murphy Lee, Youg Slime Life co-founder Mondo called out his former partner Gunna for supposedly snitching as a part of the plea deal in the YSL RICO case.

When asked what comes to mind when he hears certain words with Gunna’s name being mentioned, Mondo replied, “I’m talking personally, on everything I love, I’m talking I know what’s going. Boy, you ain’t supposed to do that, my brother. Even if I did be talking to nobody, everybody who got common sense, everybody who’s been in the streets know, you do not, boy, you don’t do no shit like that my brother.”

He went on to say, “I always said, bruh, he was a good genuine n-gga … But certain shit makes you do certain shit … You can’t say, ‘Oh, they tricked me,’ or ‘Oh, I ain’t talked,’ or ‘I don’t know what’s going on.’ Come on, my brother. It’s certain shit you just don’t do. And hey boy, you crossed the line, my brother. You did that.”

When Murph asked if he was calling Gunna a snitch, he responded, “Everybody got the same ears I got? Unless you’re deaf or you’re blind. You took a plea saying you’re the main artist brother, you know this a gang and on top of that you got caught with something and it wasn’t yours, so who else was it? Who doing shit like that? Who doing that?”

Bobby Shmurda Could Not Believe Gunna Went to Miami HEAT Game While Young Thug is Locked Up

Bobby Shmurda flat-out couldn’t believe that Gunna decided to hit up an NBA Playoffs game while Young Thug was sitting behind bars. During an appearance on The Danza Project podcast, Bobby was asked about Gunna’s game six appearance and delivered a stark reaction

“Gunna was out there? While Thugga is in jail? I’mma mind my business,” Shmurda opened. “Gunna, I’m minding my business. You know what? I don’t even want to talk about other rappers.”

He added words for rappers, “You got these kids following you guys and when these kids are following you guys and you’re rapping you’re about this lifestyle, it’s very dangerous to the communities that these little kids think is going on.”

Bobby got a point? You can hear him below.

Gunna was at the epic Game 6 clash between the Boston Celtics and Miami HEAT. Gunna was spotted sitting courtside in Miami in a Black Tank, mixing it up with other fans.

Gunna has undergone a metamorphic transformation in his appearance, which is an extreme change from how his fans are used to seeing him. Now, besides roasting him about the RICO case and his alleged cooperation, fans and critics alike are saluting him for his healthy, new look.

This comes after Gunna only served only a few months of his five-year sentence for his participation in the racketeering charges against several members of YSL, including Young Thug, who is still behind bars in the Fulton County Jail.

The YSL RICO trial is currently underway.

Bobby Shmurda Reacts To Gunna’s First Public Appearance: “While [Young Thug] Is In Jail?”

Gunna seems to be readying his comeback, although it’s not necessarily welcomed by everyone. The Atlanta star’s decision to cop an Alford plea sparked a dialogue surrounding what is considered cooperating with law enforcement. Legal experts have stated that Gunna’s plea deal didn’t incriminate any of the other defendants in the YSL RICO trial. Meanwhile, many of his rap peers don’t agree with the assessment. As a result, Gunna has been shunned by many rappers, including Bobby Shmurda, Boosie and more.

In recent weeks, there have been a number of updates surrounding Gunna. Songs snippets have surfaced where he seemingly addresses everything from those who’ve accused him of snitching to his standings with YSL. However, he finally made his first public appearance over the weekend when he was spotted courtside at the Heat-Celtics game. It was a shock to many, especially since he’s seemingly undergone drastic physical changes since he came home from jail.

Bobby Shmurda Reacts

Bobby Shmurda hasn’t been the most forgiving when it comes to Gunna’s decision to cop an Alford Plea. Most recently, he appeared on The Danza Project podcast where he seemed shocked about Gunna’s first public appearance at the playoff game. “Gunna was out there? While Thugger’s in jail? I’mma mind my business… Gunna, I’m minding my business. You know what? I don’t even want to talk about other rappers,” he said. Ultimately, it seems as though Bobby feels just as let down by other rappers in the game for not upholding the code. “We don’t want to be associated with you f**kin’ rappers. Okay, you guys are just f**kin’ talkin’ a lot,” he continued. “

“These rappers all do the same sh*t. They be cappin’, they be lyin’. And this a new rule: before we talk to rappers, we want to see these n***as childhood,” he said. Bobby suggested that fans should know whether a rapper began getting involved in street activities at a young age or if it’s only a persona for rap. “You got these kids following you guys and when these kids are following you guys and you’re rapping [like] you’re about this lifestyle, it’s very dangerous to the communities that these little kids think is going on,” Bobby said. Peep his interview above and let us know if you feel the same way as Bobby.

New Gunna Snippet Surfaces: ‘They Mad I Got Out’

Gunna Returns to Instagram: ‘It’s Only One Side #Yslthelabel'

Gunna has been in the studio and appears ready to get off a new single. A snippet has hit the timeline, seemingly calling out those who are mad he is a free man.

“He forgave me for my sins now they mad I got out,” Gunna rapped.

Gunna is back outside, popping up at the Miami HEAT game and seemingly enjoying his freedom, but everybody isn’t happy for him. Among that group is Boosie Badazz.

Appearing on an upcoming episode of The Big Facts Podcast, Boosie suggests the rapper moves to another country if he hopes to continue his career. During his conversation, Boosie also pointed to a screenshot between go-to YSL producer Wheezy Outta Here who called the rapper a rat. After that, Boosie had a very strong wish for Gunna.

“I don’t want no rat to excel,” Boosie said. “I hope he never sell a record again. I really hope he never sells another record again.”

This is far from the first time Boosie has spoken on Gunna. He previously called him rat directly after the Alford Plea was made, though all informants should have the “Hip-Hop Rat Tour,” and also wants to direct a YSL Rico film.

YSL RICO Co-Defendant, Cordarius Dorsey, Charged With Murder In 2020 Shooting

The long-spanning YSL RICO trial has taken yet another unexpected turn, according to a new report from AllHipHop. It seems that a co-defendant of Young Thug’s, Cordarius Dorsey, is facing murder charges after being accused of killing Xavier Arlandor Turner in January 2020. The Slaughter Gang member is already serving a life sentence for partaking in a 2019 slaying, for which he was granted no parole.

Documents claim that Dorsey shot Turner and another man at the Old National Village Discount Mall. At the time, the group reportedly got into an altercation with the alleged killer, and after firing his weapon, he fled the scene in a black Nissan. Aside from these new charges, it’s also been argued by authorities that the YSL member was part of a “violent gang” under Young Thug’s leadership, during which time he aided in various violent crimes across metro Atlanta.

This isn’t the only troubling headline we’ve heard from the Fulton County courtroom in recent weeks. Several of the public defenders involved in the trial previously came forward with complaints about being severely underpaid. While one told the media he could bring in more money from working at a fast food restaurant, another said that she’s considering starting an OnlyFans profile seeing as she’s unable to take on any other clients at this time.

Thankfully, the hardworking attorneys were granted a substantial pay raise, though they still have plenty of work ahead of them. Aside from that, we’ve also had another co-defendant involved in the trial be officially severed after receiving a schizophrenia diagnosis. Prior to that, he publicly claimed to be receiving aid from Donald Trump, causing many to question his sanity. Do you think that Young Thug will ever be a free man again? Let us know in the comments, and tap back in later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
