New Gunna Snippet Surfaces: ‘They Mad I Got Out’

Gunna Returns to Instagram: ‘It’s Only One Side #Yslthelabel'

Gunna has been in the studio and appears ready to get off a new single. A snippet has hit the timeline, seemingly calling out those who are mad he is a free man.

“He forgave me for my sins now they mad I got out,” Gunna rapped.

Gunna is back outside, popping up at the Miami HEAT game and seemingly enjoying his freedom, but everybody isn’t happy for him. Among that group is Boosie Badazz.

Appearing on an upcoming episode of The Big Facts Podcast, Boosie suggests the rapper moves to another country if he hopes to continue his career. During his conversation, Boosie also pointed to a screenshot between go-to YSL producer Wheezy Outta Here who called the rapper a rat. After that, Boosie had a very strong wish for Gunna.

“I don’t want no rat to excel,” Boosie said. “I hope he never sell a record again. I really hope he never sells another record again.”

This is far from the first time Boosie has spoken on Gunna. He previously called him rat directly after the Alford Plea was made, though all informants should have the “Hip-Hop Rat Tour,” and also wants to direct a YSL Rico film.

Gunna was at the epic Game 6 clash between the Boston Celtics and Miami HEAT. Gunna was spotted sitting courtside in Miami in a Black Tank, mixing it up with other fans.

Gunna has undergone a metamorphic transformation in his appearance, which is an extreme change from how his fans are used to seeing him. Now, besides roasting him about the RICO case and his alleged cooperation, fans and critics alike are saluting him for his healthy, new look.

This comes after Gunna only served only a few months of his five-year sentence for his participation in the racketeering charges against several members of YSL, including Young Thug, who is still behind bars in the Fulton County Jail.

The YSL RICO trial is currently underway.

YSL RICO Co-Defendant, Cordarius Dorsey, Charged With Murder In 2020 Shooting

The long-spanning YSL RICO trial has taken yet another unexpected turn, according to a new report from AllHipHop. It seems that a co-defendant of Young Thug’s, Cordarius Dorsey, is facing murder charges after being accused of killing Xavier Arlandor Turner in January 2020. The Slaughter Gang member is already serving a life sentence for partaking in a 2019 slaying, for which he was granted no parole.

Documents claim that Dorsey shot Turner and another man at the Old National Village Discount Mall. At the time, the group reportedly got into an altercation with the alleged killer, and after firing his weapon, he fled the scene in a black Nissan. Aside from these new charges, it’s also been argued by authorities that the YSL member was part of a “violent gang” under Young Thug’s leadership, during which time he aided in various violent crimes across metro Atlanta.

This isn’t the only troubling headline we’ve heard from the Fulton County courtroom in recent weeks. Several of the public defenders involved in the trial previously came forward with complaints about being severely underpaid. While one told the media he could bring in more money from working at a fast food restaurant, another said that she’s considering starting an OnlyFans profile seeing as she’s unable to take on any other clients at this time.

Thankfully, the hardworking attorneys were granted a substantial pay raise, though they still have plenty of work ahead of them. Aside from that, we’ve also had another co-defendant involved in the trial be officially severed after receiving a schizophrenia diagnosis. Prior to that, he publicly claimed to be receiving aid from Donald Trump, causing many to question his sanity. Do you think that Young Thug will ever be a free man again? Young Thug Tries To Ban Evidence From House That Was Shot Up In YSL RICO Case

defense young thug arrest

Besides dealing with health issues this past week, Young Thug and his legal team have been challenging a Ring doorbell video recording that is believed to contain Young Thug’s voice.

Thug’s house was shot up and hit at least ten times, leaving over a dozen shell casings. An investigation showed that the Ring doorbell was used to communicate with someone, while the audio of the recording was captured on an officer’s body cam. One officer who wasn’t identified alleged that the voice on the camera was Young Thug.

Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, is pushing to ban the record. Steel says if the prosecution is looking to bring the doorbell recording as evidence, solid proof for voice identification must be confirmed. Otherwise, the prosecution should not be allowed to use the recording.

Young Thug Co-Defendant In YSL RICO Case To Be Tried Separately Due To Schizophrenia Diagnosis

Screen Shot 2023 05 09 at 11.22.55 AM

Another chapter has been added to the Young Thug/YSL RICO case after it has been determined that one of the co-defendants in the case will be tried separately after being diagnosed with schizophrenia, according to a report from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Fulton County Judge Ural Glanville ruled on Monday (May 8) that Jayden Myrick aka Set Trip must be tried separately from the rest of his YSL defendants after a mental evaluation was conducted, which uncovered that Myrick hasn’t taken his psychiatric medication since December.

In April, Myrick told the court that he was receiving legal s=advice from former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden.

“I’m not the regular inmate. I be with Joe Biden and Donald Trump and they be talking to me,” Myrick said. “Donald Trump is going to get me out.”

Myrick’s charges in the RICO case include attempted murder, possession of a weapon by an incarcerated individual, participation in criminal street gang activity and conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. He was also one of two individuals accused of stabbing YFN Lucci last February while behind bars in Fulton County Jail. Prosecutors allege that the attack was sanctioned by Young Thug.

Te indictment originally named 28 co-defendants, which has now withered down to just ten.

Young Thug remains behind bars on eight charges, including including conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and participation in criminal street gang activity, along with various weapons and drug offenses.

Young Thug Supposedly Listening To Lil Baby In Court

No matter what crazy court antic hits the YSL RICO case next, at least Young Thug has his headphones in on occasion to drown out the noise. Moreover, he was recently filmed singing along to an unspecified song during court proceedings. However, once fans pieced things together, they actually found that Thugger was rapping along to “Heyy” by close friend and frequent collaborator Lil Baby. Overall, with his hand motions and expressions in mind, at least it looked like he was enjoying himself as he recited the banger. Also, it’s good to see that he’s still bumping his fellow Atlanta MC during all his struggles.

Unfortunately, Young Thug’s relationship with other iconic collaborators is, at the very least, unclear. Furthermore, fans expressed confusion when they found that the “Metro Spider” artist linked Gunna’s latest album on his Instagram bio. Just when fans thought they reconciled after his plea deal, the link disappeared from the social media page altogether, which only added more fuel to that fire. Still, that could mean anything, and it’s also unclear who made that change on the account.

Lil Baby Says “Heyy” To Young Thug In Court

As far as Young Thug’s struggles, he reportedly faces pretty insufficient conditions in prison, raising concerns for his health. One of these crucial aspects is his nutrition, as the food at Fulton County Jail was deemed unhealthy by his attorney. Reportedly, he makes do with chocolate and chips to stay fed and full as he awaits his trial. In addition, complaints emerged surrounding limited access to sunlight, exercise, and other key components of mental and physical health. As such, his attorney Brian Steel recently filed a fourth motion of bond for the rapper, yet his previous attempts proved unsuccessful. Hopefully, if only for the sake of his health, this time will be different.

Meanwhile, Thugger’s older brother Unfoonk reportedly violated his plea deal conditions, resulting in another arrest. Without a doubt, plea deals have been at the center of most conversations surrounding this case. What’s clear is that, whether within or outside prison, Thug does have people rooting for him in the industry. Sometimes it takes a song to be reminded of that, especially when other factors become so complicated. Regardless, stay logged into HNHH for the latest news and updates concerning Young Thug.

Young Thug’s Brother Unfoonk Arrested In YSL Trial

Among the many plea deals handed out to YSL codefendants during their ongoing RICO trial, Unfoonk’s was one of the most controversial. Moreover, Young Thug’s older brother faced a lot of backlash for his choice, despite him denying that he snitched. However, recent reports circulating online indicate that his journey in this case is unfortunately not over yet. Furthermore, authorities reportedly arrested Unfoonk for violating the terms of his plea agreement. Specifically, it seems like officials caught him possessing a gun and reentered him into the court.

Not only that, but this comes soon after speculations ran rampant concerning Young Thug’s relationships to those who took plea. For example, inarguably the biggest story surrounding these deals such as Unfoonk’s was that of Gunna, a close friend and collaborator of Young Thug’s in the rap mainstream. After Thugger apparently linked Gunna’s album in his Instagram bio and then deleted it, many thought the two were on good terms. Still, not much context emerged following that story, so whether it was a convoluted statement or mistake remains to be seen. Regardless, other developments in the case are sadly just as inflammatory and damaging.

Unfoonk, Young Thug’s Older Brother, Allegedly Arrested For Violating Bond Terms

On that note, the most recent story to break from the YSL trial revolves around growing concerns for Young Thug’s health. His attorney Brian Steel claimed that the rapper is not getting his proper nutrition in jail, relying on chocolate and chips to get by. Also, he believes that the Atlanta trap pioneer is not getting proper access to sunlight, exercise, and other important aspects of physical and mental health. As such, his fourth request for bond comes not out of sympathy, but out of necessity.

Meanwhile, a huge scuffle broke out late last month as a hearing took place, interrupting all proceedings that day. Afterwards, footage made the social media rounds of a YSL codefendant being stripped down to his underwear, where officials found weed sewn in. While the case doesn’t seem to be getting any easier for the cohort, hopefully gears can shift towards prioritizing their health and safety and not their harsh imprisonment. For the latest on Unfoonk, Young Thug, and the YSL RICO case, come back to HNHH.

YSL RICO Trial: The Craziest Moments In The Courtroom

The “Free Thugger” movement hasn’t slowed since the news about YSL’s RICO case involving Young Thug first materialized. We’re quickly approaching the anniversary of when Thug was arrested. The international superstar was filmed being taken into custody outside his lavish Georgia home last May. Then, it was reported that over two dozen others, including rapper Gunna, were arrested in connection with a massive RICO indictment.

According to prosecutors, Young Thug, real name Jeffery Williams, was the leader of YSL—a violent, menacing criminal organization. However, defense attorneys clapped back, insisting that YSL is no more than a record label. It has hosted acts, including Thugger, Gunna, Lil Keed, Lil Baby, and more. Several notable names in the industry have also lent their voices to support Thugger as he remains incarcerated. In December 2022, Gunna agreed to an Alford plea and was released. Since then, he has faced several accusations regarding cooperating with the authorities. Gunna and his legal team have denied them all.

Additionally, the public has had a front-row seat to the courtroom antics. Fans have taken to social media with demands that Young Thug be released, especially as news of his co-defendants’ plea deals trickle in. Although we have yet to approach opening statements, the jury selection has been a wild ride. The courtroom has been controversial—from passing pills to screaming defendants to lawyers saying, “That’s cap.” Here’s a look at some of the craziest moments from the YSL RICO case courtroom.

Potential Juror Ordered To Write 30-Page Essay

The jury selection has been an arduous task. It’s alleged that it could take months before a final jury is chosen, and the process has been detailed extensively. Early on, it was reported that hundreds of people were filtered through the courthouse, including Juror No. 64. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the woman was ordered by the judge to pen a 30-page essay about the importance of jury duty. This came after she left the country on a business trip, which she claimed she does frequently. She reportedly told the court she wasn’t aware a summons was sent out. Some believe she got off easy because she could have been fined or served jail time.

Juror Sentenced To Jail For Filming

More recently, another potential found herself on the wrong side of the judge. According to several reports, Juror 1004 was caught repeatedly filming during the court’s proceedings. Although the hearings have been documented, those inside the courtroom cannot record in any way, shape, or form. After receiving a chastising from Chief Judge Urla Glanville, Juror 1004 was reportedly sentenced to three days in jail.

YSL Lil Rod & Attorney Arrested

There are still over a dozen co-defendants in this case, and while Young Thug has seemingly been on his best behavior, others have not. Several alleged members of the YSL street gang have disrupted proceedings, causing mayhem. Last week, it was reported that Rodalius Ryan, or Lil Rod, shocked the court when he began screaming. This isn’t the first time Ryan has had trouble with the authorities while in court, and once again, he was escorted out in handcuffs.

Two other codefendants, Christian Eppinger and Coradrius Dorsey, were said to have verbally defended Ryan. It was later reported by FOX 5 Atlanta that both Ryan and his attorney were arrested. The defendant was found to have marijuana sewn into his underwear. Deputies were triggered when they noticed the smell of cannabis coming from Ryan.

Defendant Miles Farley’s Attorney Is Arrested

Things took a turn recently when attorney Anastasios Manettas was stopped just prior to entering the courtroom. Manettas represents Miles Farley, and according to the AJC, police arrested the lawyer after finding a bottle of prescription pills on his person. Additionally, Manettas attempted to keep his phone from being searched by tossing it at another attorney. Instead, it hit an officer. He was charged with disrupting court proceedings, possessing pills not in their original container, simple battery on a law enforcement officer, and obstruction.

Lil Rod’s Scuffle With Officers

In January, Rodalius Ryan was involved in an altercation while being transported to the courthouse by officers. His attorney, Angela D’Williams, would tell a local Atlanta news station that deputies punched Ryan in the head, causing him to fall on the ground. However, the deputies involved claimed that there was an ongoing problem with Ryan spitting inside the patrol car. He was allegedly told to stop and that he would have to clean up the mess.

Deputy Kandakai Morris claimed that Ryan refused, spit once again, and this time, it landed on the officer. Ryan was told to exit the vehicle, but he reportedly laid flat and stiffened his legs. The deputies reportedly grabbed Ryan by the legs and pulled him out of the vehicle. Yet, attorneys were angered and suggested the officer used excessive, unnecessary force.

Nurse Arrested For Allegedly Trying To Smuggle Drugs For Gunna

Months ago, reports emerged stating a woman was arrested concerning this case. News station WSBTV reported prosecutors claimed a nurse was found with “a bag full of marijuana and cocaine.” At the time, prosecutors told the judge that the contraband was intended for Gunna, who was still incarcerated. When deputies attempted to question the woman about the items, she was said to have attempted to flee.

Passing Weed In The Courtroom

Fans were perplexed just after the top of the year when it was suggested that drugs were being passed around in court. According to reports, Kahlieff Adams walked over to Young Thug’s table in the courtroom and handed him something. Despite there being cameras inside and deputies nearby, Adams completed the exchange. It didn’t take long for the courtroom to come to a standstill. Thugger’s lawyers insisted he had no idea this would occur. Later, Adams was reportedly found with percs, tobacco, and marijuana.
