Rick Ross Reveals That He Has Spent Over $100 Million In The Last Six Months: Watch

We could talk about the baller mentality of Rick Ross for eternity. The highly successful rapper hailing from Mississippi, has been making baller moves for years. He essentially stepped into the rap game taking over in his own way with his hit from ’06, “Hustlin.’” It is safe to say that this song embodies what he is all about. From that point forward, he worked relentlessly to grow his musical catalog. Over time, he gained a lot of knowledge about how to increase his income. It all started to come together once he signed his seven-figure deal with Dej Jam and Jay-Z.

Just a short time ago, Ross joined a local Miami, Florida podcast. Daily Deposits Miami nabbed the big-time rapper to talk for quite a while. One of the conversations was about how he put aside his $1 million. It taught him how to be smart with his money. Once he saw how quickly he could make a lot, he continued to up the ante. “F*** a mil. You got that right off the rip, you got to readjust this s***. Now it’s five [million].” After all of the grinding and smart investments over the years, Ross is able to get involved with more projects.

In a recent interview with Ebro on Rap Life Radio, he, Ross, and Meek Mill discussed the new album. Additionally, they talk about Rozay’s spending in the clip above from DJ Akademiks. “I done had my hands in 25 different projects,” the rapper says. “Im a real frugal n**** at some points but when it’s time to make a power play I will.” The big, or not so big shocker in all this, was how much he had spent over the past six months. “I spent $100 million in the past six months.” He even breaks down what he dropped his cash on. “I just bought a crib for 35, a jet for 35, then the investments, I’m over $100 million in the last six months.”

What are your initial thoughts on Rick Ross claiming to have spent over $100 million dollars in six months? Will he become the next billionaire in hip-hop? Vybz Kartel Brings Intimidating Music Video For “Hostile”

Kingston, Jamaica is the home of dancehall artist extraordinaire, Vybz Kartel. The long-time musician has been in the business since the late 2000s. However, he is not a free man as of 2011. The 47-year-old was charged with the murder of a fellow Jamaican businessman, Barrington Burton. However, he was released on bail a little bit later on. Incredibly, though, he was charged with the murder of someone else in the same year. All of this is according to Sportskeeda.

Kartel was found guilty of the death of one other man, Clive Williams, on March 13, 2014. It was not a quick decision, though. The final verdict came after a lengthy 65-day trial. He is still currently serving time at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Center. On top of this, Vybz was/is suffering from Graves disease. It is an autoimmune disorder caused by an overactive thyroid. His face and neck were swelling up so much that it was posed as life-threatening. However, even with all of this going on his team is still releasing music here and there.

Jay Rock Is Taking Control Of His Life On New “Ambition (Freestyle)”

One of the first members of TDE (Top Dawg Entertainment), Jay Rock, has remained fairly dormant over the past five years or so. The last full-length offering we heard from him was his 2018 record, Redemption. You had solid tracks on there. From “The Bloodiest,” “OSOM” with J. Cole, to “Wow Freestyle” with Kendrick Lamar, there was plenty of quality to be heard. Since then, though, Rock has put on some loose collaborations and singles. However, we did hear some rumblings that the West Coast artist would be dropping a new project soon.

We do not know any dates yet, but the album is expected to be called Eastside Johnny. Rock might have given us two lead singles from this LP earlier this year. The fun hit “Too Fast (Pull Over)” with Latto and Anderson .Paak, with production from Mustard, was released in July. Then, before that, was “Eastside” with Kal Banx. Now, we could possibly be hearing the third track with “Ambition (Freestyle).”

Listen To “Ambition (Freestyle)” From Jay Rock

The song is only about a minute and a half long but Rock makes the most of the short runtime. He spits very aggressively and with urgency. Jay wants to make it clear that he is on his own path to success and he is going to do whatever it takes. “No myth, no fable, witness the rise of a beast / Gotta live it up, you only get one / Nothing’s impossible, I’m grinding ’til the mission is done.” Hopefully, that mission is dropping his new album, because it is sounding great so far.

What are your initial thoughts on Jay Rock’s newest single, “Ambition (Freestyle)?” Do you think this will make the final cut for his upcoming album Eastside Johnny? When do you believe we will get this project? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around Jay Rock and all of the hottest song releases.

Fat Joe’s Advice For 52-Year-Old Aspiring Rapper: “Stay Retired”

Fat Joe shared his advice for a 52-year-old aspiring rapper in a video on BET‘s YouTube page on Friday, telling the man to “stay retired.” The man explained that he already graduated from college, built a career, and started a family. However, now that his kids have grown up, he wants to get back to his dream of being a musician.

“Do me the biggest favor, and stay retired,” Joe said in the clip. He also shared advice for a man who is in love with a stripper, a person whose two best friends are beefing, and more.

It’s far from the first time Joe has provided his advice for fans online. Addressing other aspiring rappers in a video on social media back in May, Joe advised up-and-comers to get a full time job. “If your man said he raps and he don’t have a deal. There’s a problem with that,” he told his audience on Instagram Live. “It’s called plan A, get a job. Plan B, hope you make it. This has never changed. Some guys be like, ‘I gotta get a regular job?’ Bro, you gotta get a job! If you got kids and you got this girl that got an apartment and y’all sexin’ it up every day, you got to pay some bills.” From there, he quoted Nas’ hit song, “Life’s A Bitch.” He remarked, “And that dollar and a dream — ‘That buck that bought the bottle could’ve struck the lotto.’ Nah!”

Fat Joe Shares Advice With Fans

At another time, Joe criticized signing onto a major label, describing the whole system as a “Ponzi scheme” during an interview with Wall Street Journal at The Future of Everything Festival. Check out Joe’s latest advice above.

NBA YoungBoy Seemingly Responds To Trap Lore Ross In New Song

NBA YoungBoy is an artist who has been through a lot over the course of his young career. Although he is extremely famous, he is someone who is largely blackballed by the mainstream. Regardless of how many units he sells or how many views he gets, there seems to be an anti-YoungBoy agenda. However, the artist is still doing his own thing and his fans love him for it. No matter who gets in his way, he provides some great music that is always going to get some love from the die-hards.

If you have been paying attention to YoungBoy as of late, you know that he was recently the subject of a Trap Lore Ross documentary. The YouTuber has made documentaries on various artists in the past. Many of these videos are very long and consist of reports about an artist’s alleged gang affiliation and alleged crimes. The video about YoungBoy is called YoungBoy: Real Killer or Fake Gangster? and has already amassed millions of views.

NBA YoungBoy Delivers New Track

Today, YoungBoy dropped a brand-new song simply called “Testimony.” In this new track, YoungBoy has a lot on his mind. However, as fans pointed out, there is one bar that seems to suggest he is addressing Trap Lore Ross and his documentary. “Real gangstar or a fake killer? tell em “fuck with us,” YoungBoy raps on the song. Overall, it is a pretty subtle bar, however, it does feel like a direct addressing of the situation.

The Trap Lore Ross Doc

When Trap Lore Ross came out with his King Von documentary, there was understandably a lot of controversy. In fact, Ross accused King Von of even being a serial killer. Of course, this situation is much different as YoungBoy is around to address what was said. Only time will tell whether or not Trap Lore Ross decides to speak on these bars. Let us know your thoughts on all of this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world.

Nipsey Hussle’s Murder Is The Subject Of A New True Crime Docuseries

A new season of the Tubi original series Behind The Crime premiered earlier this week. The new episodes will take a look at the story of Nipsey Hussle, who was murdered in 2019. According to HipHopDX, while it will focus in part on his murder it also promises to cover “the murder trial, story, and case of rap icon and street legend Nipsey Hussle.” The show itself promises that it “dives deep into the inner workings of the justice system with gripping cases that give viewers unfiltered access with real case footage.”

Nipsey’s killer received his prison sentence earlier this year. Eric Holder Jr. was sentenced to serve 60 years to life in prison by an LA judge. As the story goes, Holder and Nipsey were engaged in an argument outside the rapper’s clothing store. Witnesses testified that the argument began when Nipsey accused Holder of being a snitch. Shortly afterward Holder returned with two weapons which he used to shoot and kill the rapper. Watch the trailer for the documentary series below.

Nipsey Hussle’s Murder Central To New True Crime Show

Even though it’s been 4 years since his murder, custody of Nipsey’s daughter is still being contested. She had been under the control of his family ever since his murder, but last year her birth mother began to make legal challenges for her custody. Most recently, a lawyer representing the underage daughter claimed that she, and by extension her mother, were in procession of an illegal recording of a conversation between her and her legal team.

Despite that claim, a judge recently ruled in the mother’s favor. They handed down a ruling clarifying that she wouldn’t have to turn over the recording in court as the custody hearing carries on. Each side of the custody battle has accused the other of being unfit to take care of Nipsey’s daughter. What do you think of Nipsey Hussle’s story being turned into a new documentary series? Let us know in the comment section below.

Vic Mensa And DJ Akademiks Link Up For The First Time Since Heated Confrontation

6 years ago, Vic Mensa became one in a long series of rappers to take issue with DJ Akademiks. He appeared on an episode of Everyday Struggle in 2017 where he discussed the ties between real life and rap lyrics with the host. Mensa clearly didn’t feel that Ak was handling the subject matter appropriately and it resulted in some noticeable hostility between the two. Thankfully, it never escalated beyond the initial levels of confrontation but the pair have unsurprisingly avoided each other in the years since.

That was the case until recently when Vic Mensa sat down with DJ Akademiks again. “So… I Sat Down with Vic Mensa Again after our last explosive encounter in 2017,” Akademiks said in a tweet where he shared the new video. His tweet linked to a YouTube video called “Vic Mensa Pulls Up on DJ Akademiks Again . . .!” Despite the intense phrasing of the title, the pair sat down for an extended chat together. In the comments, fans praise both men for putting past beef behind them. “Definitely looking forward to this interview to see if they can move forward amicably,” one comment reads. “This is a great example of growth from both Ak & Vic,” another agrees. Check out their full conversation below.

Vic Mensa Reunites With DJ Akademiks

One of the biggest reasons Vic Mensa is making the media rounds right now is the release of his new album. His return to hip-hop and long-awaited sophomore album Victor dropped over the weekend. The album has an impressive list of contributors including Jay Electronica, Chance The Rapper, Thundercat, Common, Rapsody, and plenty more.

Mensa is also dealing with an ongoing legal battle over an apartment he used to rent. The landlord of the property claims that Mensa owes him money in rent, while Mensa said that his lack of management created safety hazards that resulted in his moving out. What do you think of VIc Mensa and DJ Akademiks reuniting 6 years after their initial confrontation? Let us know in the comment section below.

DDG Claims Burglars Who Slapped Him Were Part Of A Skit

DDG may have landed a few plaques but his transition into rap stardom hasn’t necessarily been smooth. Whether his relationship with Halle Bailey, or his YouTubing career, he’s garnered significant attention throughout his time in the limelight and not always for the best reasons. Additionally, the lengths he’ll go to in order to entertain his fans can be contentious. A few weeks ago, the rapper concerned fans (and left just as many laughing) after he shared a video of two individuals breaking into his home.

At this point, you’ve likely seen the video. The culprits didn’t break into DDG’s home to rob him or cause significant harm. They ran up in the YouTuber’s home to slap him while he slept. Security footage revealed two individuals creeping into his bedroom with masks on. One of the individuals had a phone in his hand, only to approach DDG and slap him in the face. Startled, DDG woke up, grabbed what appeared to be a firearm, and approached his bedroom door.

DDG Says Video Was A Joke

Apparently, DDG was in on the joke the entire time. The rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) to clear the air surrounding the viral clip. “Y’all really think a n***a ran in my crib & slapped me & dipped or y’all trolling?” he asked, along with a laughing emoji. Shortly after, he asserted his dominance as an Internet celebrity. “I run the internet… y’all gon read about me forever.. Get used to it,” he wrote.

In his initial response, DDG detailed his grievances with the situation, explaining that the individuals were trying to play a “sick game” with him. “Whoever you are, I don’t know what type of sick game you think you’re playing, I don’t know if you think it’s cool to sneak in my house and put your hands on me as a joke. It’s not funny,” he said. Evidently, even the response was manufactured since the entirety of the video was fake. Check out his response above via X and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

NBA YoungBoy fans allegedly flooded Trap Lore Ross’ social media DMs with death threats after the YouTuber teased an upcoming video on the rapper’s upbringing in Baton Rouge. Taking to his Instagram Story, over the weekend, Ross revealed the backlash with which he’s been dealing.

“1 Picture and my DMS are a warzone. Grown adults Sending death threats over content they haven’t even seen. Wait and see what I actually have to say on the topic,” he wrote in the post. Trap Lore Ross is perhaps best known for his highly controversial documentary, King Von: Rap’s First Serial Killer. In a trailer for the piece, Trap Lore Ross says: “His music is personal, thought-provoking and violent in equal measure. He’s one of the few artists who can top the Billboard charts with music all about killing, death, and destruction. But his ability to communicate the stark realities of life growing up in the dangerous slums of Baton Rouge have inspired people all over America.” Trap Lore Ross has yet to announce a release date for the video. When No Jumper shared the clip on Instagram, fans in the comments section were unhappy with the YouTuber. “Imagine speaking on the dead then try play victim when you get death threats,” one user commented. Another wrote: “This n***a telling on everybody really tryna ruin our black kings for what?”
