Jamie Foxx Jokes About Dating White Women While Accepting An African American Critics Award

Jamie Foxx had a pretty harrowing 2023. Early in the year, he suffered from an undisclosed health crisis while on set. The crisis was serious enough that he spent an extended stay in the hospital and required months of recovery. In discussions about the crisis once he recovered he described it in near-death terms. He even claimed that he once saw “the tunnel” during a particularly rough point in his health scare.

Over the weekend, he accepted an award from the African American Film Critics Association. During his speech for getting the Producer’s Award, he reminded everyone just how entertaining he can be. First, he promised to eventually tell his entire story and reveal what happened to him. He clarified that he was going to do it when he’s ready and do it his own way. In his speech, Jamie Foxx brings up a theory that was spread online after his health crisis. When he re-emerged there were some spreading wild rumors that he had somehow been cloned. Clearly, he finds those rumors pretty amusing as he cracks jokes about how ridiculous they sound. He finishes by joking that the clone rumors stopped once he was spotted dating a white woman, which got a raucous laugh from the crowd.

He expanded on that joke afterward, asking the crowd if he’s even “black enough” to receive the award he’s getting. Given that the award was given to him by the African American Film Critics Association that joke also goes over pretty well with the crowd. Chrisean Rock Warrants “Being Handled,” Reality Starlet Doesn’t Want To Serve Time As A Mom

She did just that while attending a Tamar Braxton concert in their hometown of Baltimore last year, at which time the new mother allegedly punched James Wright Chanel in the face while wearing massive rings, doing major damage to his teeth. Months after that incident, a warrant for Rock’s arrest was issued, leaving many wondering how she’s still walking free. To begin her week, the “Lit” artist went Live on Instagram, clearing the air and answering some questions.

“My warrants are getting cleaned up. I’ve been paying off fees and getting rid of s**t, talking to certain people to help my situation out,” Rock assured viewers. “Because you know, I have my son. The old me would’ve just turned myself in and dealt with it from inside to outside the jail cell,” she added while welling up with emotion. “Right now I gotta play it cautious because, you know, I don’t plan on being in jail while my son is growing.”

Ahead of her 24th birthday, the entertainer says she’s doing everything possible to avoid serving time. So far, things are working in Rock’s favour – according to her, that is. “I’mma work on my little situations and stuff,” Junior’s mom promised her supporters. As of late, they’ve been noticeably dwindling due to her continued support of her baby daddy, who spent months publicly denying paternity, among other antics.

On the topic of Junior, his paternal grandmother, Karlissa Saffold, has had plenty to say about him lately. Since Blueface’s arrest, she’s shown some support for Chrisean Rock, but now is switching her tune while claiming the months-old baby doesn’t resemble his dad. I was in one of the most iconic girl groups and no one recognizes me,” she adds. Afterward, a man conveniently calls out her name, generating an excited reaction, only for Williams to realize he was talking to his dog.

On the topic of Destiny’s Child, earlier this year, nearly all the historic girl group’s members were able to pose for a picture together for the first time. Farrah Franklin was absent, making the moment slightly less than perfect, but still, seeing how much the other five women have grown into themselves over the decades is sweet to see. Jamie Foxx Claims He Will Tell The Full Story Of His Health Scare Last Year

Jamie Foxx spent much of 2023 out of the public eye as he dealt with an unspecified health crisis. He was reportedly on set working on a project when something pretty serious happened. As a result, he was hospitalized and needed extended recovery time in the following months. He’s already popped up in a few places in 2024 looking like his normal self again. His most recent appearance came African American Film Critics Association Awards over the weekend where he accepted the “Producer’s Award.”

During his acceptance speech, he reminded the crowd just how sharp he can be with one hilarious quip after another. “I’m emotional. I get emotional to even music that I’m not supposed to be emotional to. I was listening to Sexyy Red like, ‘Skee Yee,’” Foxx joked at the start of his speech. He went on to reveal that he has a plan for revealing exactly what happened to him last year. “Now look, everybody wants to know what happened, and I’m going to tell you what happened, but I’m going to do it in my way. I’m going to do it in a funny way. It’s gonna be on the stage. We’re going to go back to the stand-up roots, but I’ll tell you in my way. Fans of Erykah Badu are no strangers to tantalizing selfies. Just last week, she announced a new collaboration with Rapsody and even shared a preview of the track with fans. The video was reposted from Rapsody’s TikTok account but fans honed in on what Badu in particular was wearing. It’s a similar look to her newest video but this time in very short pink and purple shorts. Neither artist has confirmed exactly when the song will be officially released.

In the past few months celebrity private jet usage has come under a bit of scrutiny. That’s primarily because of the massive amounts of pollution caused by consistently taking private jet flights. Much of that scrutiny has been focused on by far the biggest polluter among celebs, Taylor Swift. But this time it was Drake volunteering himself to join the private jet discussion, though he’s probably hoping to avoid comments about pollution.

Drizzy took to Instagram earlier today to share a pretty scary video. He was allowed into the cockpit of his private jet where he filmed the pilot and co-pilot making a pretty impressive landing despite no visibility whatsoever. The video gives fans the rare view of what it looks like landing a plane and in this particular instance, the windows are completely blocked out by fog. “There’s a couple landings I love on Air Drake but tbh the low visibility is the most exciting it makes your heart drop a bit…lucky I got the best putting this sh*t wheels down” he captioned the video. Doja Cat Loses Her Mind Trying To Recite The Lyrics To Kanye West’s “BACK TO ME”

Last month, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign released their new album VULTURES 1. The album came after months of delays and was instantly met with quite a bit on controversy. Much of that came from controversial lyrics on the record where West doubled down on antisemitic talking points. There are also numerous lyrics that led to West being called out for objectifying women, some of which came on the track “BACK TO ME.” The song instantly became one of the most attention grabbing tracks on the record, including getting the attention of Doja Cat.

The “Paint The Town Red” singer shared a TikTok over the weekend where she where she sand along to “BACK TO ME.” In particular she’s singing the lyric from the song that stuck out to many other fans the most. It’s a sample from the film Dogma from the character Jay. Both the audio of the original sample and West singing over it appear in the song. In her new video, Doja tries her best to recite the rapid fire tongue twisting phrase. Nicki Minaj Shows Off Her Flexibility With An On-Stage Split During “Pink Friday 2” Show

One of the biggest tours of 2024 got underway earlier this month. Nicki Minaj took off on the back of her new album Pink Friday 2 with a tour of the same name. So far she’s played two shows in Oakland and Denver. Across the next few months, she’ll play a few dozen more shows across North America before taking off to Europe in May. Though the tour has only just gotten started, clips from the performances are already attracting plenty of attention online.

Earlier today, video started making the rounds online of an attention-grabbing piece of choreography from one of the shows. In the clip, Nicki shows off her flexibility by doing a split on stage in an incredibly revealing fit. Fans cheer her on as she takes her time descending to an almost full split. But her stopping short of that full split actually drew some criticisms from fans in the comments. “Did anyone else cringe?” and “Chillleee yall paid hundreds of dollars for this ?” two other comments read. The very first show of the Pink Friday 2 tour was already quite an event. The show took place in Oakland and a video of Barbz brawling in the audience. TMZ shared a clip of a surprisingly large and intense fight that broke out in the stands, though security eventually swarmed in to break things up. Barbz in attendance also started a chant taking at aim at Latto, who Nicki has had beef with throughout the past year.

Whenever Ye leaves his hotel – or anywhere else for that matter – a group of photographers seems to always be waiting for him. Most of them usually want to capture snapshots of the father of four’s eccentric looks, though some overzealous and curious others have endured physical altercations with West. Earlier this week he was forced to confront those “stalking” him overseas, though he managed to do it in a relatively calm manner.

As they repeatedly yell out his name, Yeezy and his security team ensure Censori safely makes it into their vehicle. “When you photograph, just stop screaming at me,” the “4th Dimension” artist said from behind a full facial covering. “I don’t want to get screamed at every time I go to the car,” he continued as everyone around him assured Mr. West he was understood. Nevertheless, they continued to shout, telling the Chicago native that they were simply trying to support him by taking his picture. “If you wanna support me, then listen, don’t scream at me,” Ye pleaded, the frustration evident in his voice.

After several decades of working in the music industry, Kanye West is now more comfortable than ever setting boundaries with fans and paparazzi.
