Veeze Works With Gallery Provence For New Single “WORST”

The city of Detroit is continuing to produce some hot new talent with Veeze being one of them. Last year was one to remember for the 29-year-old sensation. His album Ganger brought him more mainstream attention than ever before. While his mumbly and lackadaisical style is not for everyone, he is certainly striking a chord with enough listeners. We came out with a list of five artists who we feel deserve more attention in 2024. Unfortunately, we did not include Veeze.

However, the reasoning for that was because we felt he was already pretty popular and too obvious of a pick. If there was an honorable mention part of the top five, he would be on there without a doubt. Now that the new year is here, Veeze is looking to get things off to a strong start. To do that he is teaming up with music video creators, Gallery Provence, for “WORST.”

To find the song on streaming you have to go to Gallery’s accounts to find it. Or, you can head over to YouTube and check out the colorful claymation-like music video for it too. Gallery has also done work with Tony Shhnow, Ralfy the Plug, and a bunch of other underground rappers. Veeze is looking to firmly cement himself in the rap game, so you better pay attention.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single, “WORST,” by Veeze? Do you think the Detroit rapper will be able to outdo his last album Ganger in 2024? Does this song sound better than anything off of the previous record? Who would you like to see him work with this year and why? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news around Veeze. J. Cole & Veeze Spark Collab Demands After They Link Up At Lil Baby’s Birthday Show

Veeze ended up being the rapper that grew on us the most in 2023 thanks to a consistent and wholly uncompromising run of hits and moves. If we had to bet, we’d say next year will be an even more successful one for him, and both his fans and Dreamville die-hards now have something to pray for when it comes to this. Moreover, the Detroit rapper and J. Cole recently linked up at Lil Baby’s birthday concert at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. In the former’s Instagram recap of the event, he included a picture with Cole, which led listeners from either spectrum to theorize what a collab between them would sound like.

Furthermore, the North Carolina spitter might choose to ride over Veeze’s plugg-inspired and drowsy take on Detroit flows and beats. It would be a bit of a bizarre matchup, but a welcome one nonetheless considering J. Cole’s absolutely absurd feature run. On the other hand, the Ganger MC might have a secret skillset of lyricism under his sleeve, or more versatility than he’s letting on. As such, no matter what direction this (hypothetically) goes in, there’s a wealth of reasons as to why this would be something engaging, special, and innovative.

Veeze’s Instagram Recap Of Lil Baby’s Birthday Show

Not only that, but this also follows plenty of big moves for Veeze this year, whose seeds will hopefully grow in 2024. For example, he launched the Navy Wavy label imprint under Warner Records, ushering in what might be a new era for him as a director, businessman, and curator of talent. “Going golfing with Aaron Bay-Schuck and Tom Corson [Warner’s chairmen; CEO and COO, respectively] really persuaded me to do the partnership,” the “ATL Freestyle” artist stated. “Those guys are first-class gentlemen and I can see myself learning a lot from them.”

Meanwhile, the “m y . l i f e” wordsmith recently got his flowers from Nicki Minaj herself for out-rapping her on their collab off her new album, Pink Friday 2. As such, you know that he’s poised to dominate any feature he touches. But don’t let that trick you into thinking Veeze can’t rise up to any challenge. For more news and the latest updates on him and J. Cole, stay posted on HNHH.

Veeze Teams Up With Luh Tyler And Rob49 For A Pair Of “ATL Freestyles”

Veeze, who hails from the blue-collar city of Detroit, has been having a great run throughout 2023. He got his start in 2019 with a trio of singles. After that, he would deliver his debut project, Navy Wavy, in late September of that same year. However, it would take some time before Veeze’s next LP.

In fact, it would take about four years for that moment to arrive. However, it was well worth the wait. His debut album, Ganger, was well received by critics and fans alike. It sure to hover around the top of Album of the Year lists.

Veeze Confirmed The Release Date For His ‘Ganger’ Deluxe And Shared When To Expect His Next Album

Hip-hop’s 50th-anniversary events have highlighted the lack of tributes to the Midwest’s major players. Rising acts, including “Safe 2” rapper Veeze, proudly carry the torch for their hometowns. For Veeze, that’s Detroit, Michigan. On his latest album, Ganger, which features appearances by Lil Uzi Vert, Babyface Ray, Lucki, and Icewear Vezzo, Veeze proves that the city’s impact in the genre should not be ignored.

In a post uploaded to his official X (formerly Twitter) page, Veeze confirmed the release date for his Ganger deluxe project and more. “‘Deluxe’ drops on 13th & next album 2025,” wrote Veeze.

So, what are Veeze’s plans in-between projects? Beginning today (October 10), Veeze will kick off The Ganger Tour, featuring special guests Talibando and Anycia in New York City at the Gramercy Theatre. The country-wide run will run until November 21, which concludes at Detroit’s The Shelter. Find more information here.

In another online upload, Veeze revealed post-tour plans. “Acting class after tour. 😵‍💫 and gotta learn a new language. Well, I wanna learn a new language. I may try to learn while on the road. But I’m supposed to teach myself how to make beats on the road,” penned Veeze.

Veeze Celebrates His Warner Records Partnership And Navy Wavy Label Launch With A Video For ‘Safe 2’

Detroit rapper Veeze has been on the come-up for some time, but this year saw him reach some truly impressive heights, garnering praise from a number of publications calling his new album Ganger one of the year’s best. Today, the viral underground sensation took his biggest step into the mainstream, announcing a new partnership with Warner Records for his own new label, Navy Wavy. Veeze celebrated the new partnership with the release of his video for “Safe 2.”

Signing Veeze has been just one of the higher-profile, left-field signings Warner has announced recently. In 2020, the label added indie rapper Freddie Gibbs to its roster, where he released the well-received Soul Sold Separately in 2022. Earlier this year, Gibbs said that he’s actually working on four follow-ups — something that might not have been possible back when he was self-funding.

Meanwhile, in 2019, Warner added Earl Sweatshirt, resulting in two well-received projects, the Feet Of Clay EP and his 2022 album Sick!, which expanded his sonic profile and garnered a new generation of fans. We’ve seen what Veeze can do on his own, so we’re definitely looking forward to what he does with some major-label backing.

Lil Baby, 42 Dugg, And Veeze Show Off Their Bankrolls In The New Video For ‘U-Digg’

Lil Baby has seen a lot of money over the last few years as he has ascended the ranks of the current rap hierarchy. Along the way, he has provided multiple strong records with 42 Dugg but has now added Veeze into the mix for their new record “U-Digg.” The video opens with the My Turn artist having an important phone call before the flexing really ensues.

As the beat begins, Baby, Dugg, and Veeze each walk down a staircase with paper bags full of money. Baby intervenes with the song’s hook as each verse progresses, and the visual finds each rapper showing off how much money they have. While Baby’s Michigan accompanists simply hold their cash, he takes things a step further by lying on the ground and bench pressing the stacks in his possession.

For Lil Baby, “U-Digg” follows his three 2022 solo releases “Frozen,” “Right On,” and “In A Minute” in addition to the two Nicki Minaj collaborations “Bussin” and “Do We Have A Problem?” Veeze has been relatively inactive this year on an individual basis, only putting out “Let It Fly” while 42 Dugg released an entirely collaborative project Last Ones Left with EST Gee.

Check out the video for “U-Digg” above.
