Kim Kardashian Shares Lengthy Statement On Corey Miller Case

Kim Kardashian recently took to Twitter (now “X”) with a comprehensive summary of, and update on, the Corey Miller case. For those unaware, Miller (Master P’s brother also known as C-Murder) was arrested in 2002 in connection with the murder of Steve Thomas in Louisiana, and consistently maintained his innocence over the last 21 years. Moreover, it seems like the reality star has worked on this case for years now during her career as a lawyer. Now, her update’s most salient point is that new Louisiana state law would allow Miller to once again vouch for his innocence. However, it seems like his post-conviction claim of factual innocence was met with silence, and she’s using her large platform to advocate for justice.

“Louisiana recently enacted a new law that provides innocent people with the ability to raise a post-conviction claim of factual innocence,” Kim Kardashian wrote. “Mr. Miller has raised such a claim and, like all of his prior post-conviction filings, has been denied relief without even so much as an evidentiary hearing. In light of the fact that the only witnesses have completely recanted their testimony, there is absolutely no remaining evidence against Mr. Miller. Corey Miller deserves a day in court to test the veracity of the recanted statements and to prove that he did not shoot Steve Thomas.”

Kim Kardashian On Corey Miller’s Innocence & Court Issues

Elsewhere in her message, the fashion and social media mogul expressed sympathy for the victims and their families regardless of Miller’s alleged innocence. In addition, Kim Kardashian explained how evidence in the trial became moot, and how there is nothing that truly sustains his guilt. Overall, it seems like quite the murky and strangely vague case for such a high-profile figure in entertainment. Also, this fight to free Corey Miller raged on for years prior to this point, and it’s unclear how much this new law will help him.

Regardless, the 42-year-old knows that it should help him, and will likely keep updating people on the case’s progress. Beyond Kim’s updates, Miller released a song and letter last year wishing NBA YoungBoy well on his gun case. He said he sees himself in YB, and many hope that he will be able to support people in his shoes as a free man and not an incarcerated individual. Come back to HNHH for the latest updates on Corey Miller and Kim Kardashian.

Boosie Badazz hopped on Twitter today (July 6), to ask Mark Zuckerberg to lift the ban on his Instagram account. The rapper’s account was banned in 2021 for featuring nudity. It wasn’t his first strike, as Boosie’s account had been taken down previously over a clip of him hitting a man in the face. “@zuck n ADAM can I get my officialboosieig Page back ?,” he asked. “I’ve been doing good n AINT been n no BS on ig,” his Tweet continued, “CAN U PUT ME BACK UP ? Boosie Says He’s Been “Doing Good”

Boosie’s known to be outspoken on his various social media platforms, frequently using his alternate Instagram account to go Live. According to reports, an Instagram Live is even what landed him in jail last month. Allegedly, police spotted him with a gun during a Live, prompting them to pull him over later in the evening.

Recently, he also used Twitter to go off on Empire Records. He accused the label of failing to pay him for a deal with Yung Bleu. “CAN YALL PAY ME MY MONEY!! YALL ALL KNOW MY NAME WAS FORGED N I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THIS DEAL WITH MY ARTIST,” he wrote. Lance Armstrong Roasted For Questioning The “Fairness” Of Trans Athletes

Lance Armstrong was once the greatest cyclist on the planet. When he won the Tour de France in 1999, he was the first American in nearly a decade to win the race. Then he proceeded to win the next six races in a row. That made him the most dominant rider in the race’s history. However, it all came crashing down when, in 2012, he admitted to prolonged and prolific steroid use throughout his career. His titles were stripped and now he is considered a dark stain on the sport’s history.

Meanwhile, the war against transgender individuals in the United States continues. Per the Trans Legislation Tracker, 590 anti-trans bills have been submitted to 49 state legislatures (shout out to Delaware). These bills fundamentally seek to erase trans people, be it physically or societally. Furthermore, the right wing especially is obsessed with is the issue of trans athletes. Despite victories by trans athletes being so rare that each one warrants its own news cycle, there are those who believe that they are the biggest problem facing women’s sports. It appears that Armstrong is one of these people.

Armstrong Comments On The “Fairness” Of Trans Athletes

In a stunning lack of self-awareness, Armstrong was just “asking questions” about trans athletes. “Is there not a world in which one can be supportive of the transgender community and curious about the fairness of Trans athletes in sport yet not be labeled a transphobe or a bigot as we ask questions? Do we yet know the answers? And do we even want to know the answers?” Once again, for clarification – the success of trans athletes is so minimal that it is essentially insignificant.

However, it was surprising that Armstrong wanted to talk about fairness. After all, it wasn’t a trans athlete who was stripped of 7 Tour de France medals due to rampant cheating. It’s weird that when people are just trying to be themselves, that’s when Armstrong cares about fairness. Social media was in agreement, absolutely roasting Armstrong for the tone-deaf take. Armstrong, predictably, responded by decrying that the art of debate was dead and that “you can’t ask questions anymore”. Follow all the latest sports news here on HotNewHipHop.

Doe Boy Defends Claiming That Future Is Better Than 2Pac: “That’s A Fact”

In a recent interview with No Jumper‘s Sharp, Doe Boy discussed claiming that Future is better than 2Pac. A now-deleted Tweet previously went viral, revealing his opinion on the matter. Now, he says he’s sticking to it. When the host brought up the Tweet, he said, “That’s a fact, though. I really believe this.” He went on to say, “a muthaf**ka can’t argue with me ’cause, at the end of the day, it’s my opinion.”

“You’ve got to understand I’m 29 years old,” he explains, “I love Tupac, but I don’t really know his music enough.” Doe Boy says he loves who the rapper is “as a person,” explaining, “I love his personality.” He goes on to say, however, that he feels as though 2Pac’s music has been “forced” onto his generation. He then claims to know that people are “about to crucify [him] in the comments,” but says that he doesn’t care.

Doe Boy Says It’s Just His Opinion

Doe Boy just released his new album Beezy earlier this month, which was executive-produced by Future. The album also features Future on the songs “TRY & SEE” and “MENACE.” Other artists featured on the album include Lil Yachty, Don Toliver, G Herbo, Roddy Rich, and more.

He and Future met on the live streaming platform UStream, and Doe Boy later asked one of Future’s DJs for his phone number. “I pulled him aside and said, ‘Look, you saw Future. He told me I’m Freebandz. Let me get his number,’” he recalled. He goes on to detail his pursuit of Future, calling it “relentless.” “I swear to God,” he explains, “I’m leaving songs on his voicemail, I’m playing my songs on his voicemail, all kinds of sh*t.” After Sharp says that it “had to get f*cking annoying” for Future, Doe Boy agrees. “I know I was irritating as f*ck,” he says. His efforts proved to be effective, however, as he eventually got signed to Freebandz.

Trippie Redd Claims No Artist Is As Versatile As Him

Ahead of the release of his next album A Love Letter To You 5, Trippie Redd is really feeling himself on Twitter. On Tuesday evening (June 13), the Ohio rapper, singer, and songwriter made a comment on his versatility as an artist and credited it as his main claim to fame. Not only that, but he argued that he’s on a whole other level when it comes to his production and sonic tendencies on his records. Sure, you might have your preferred picks when it comes to that area and arguments against him, but there’s no denying that Trippie’s walked many different lanes as a creative. With his next single dropping this week, we’ll see if he puts his money where his mouth is and comes through with another great record.

“I’m versatile,” Trippie Redd fired off on Twitter. “I blew up off of that alone. Judge me for how I look talk smoke breath but ur fav artist probably ain’t on my level sonically. I took a break from real music to make rage music it was fun but now it’s time.” Interestingly enough, reception to his rage album MANSION MUSIK wasn’t the best, but it still did pretty good numbers and had some highlights. To not label rage as “real music” seems like an unnecessary jab, but hopefully that reflects that he wants to make something more true to himself this time around.

Meanwhile, another wish is that ALLTY5 doesn’t fall victim to the same pitfalls of leaks and hackers that his previous album fell to. During a conversation with Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1, Trippie Redd explained that hackers tampered with the release of MANSION MUSIK and caused him and his team to have to rush certain elements. “I ain’t really speak on it, but I’m going to speak on it,” the 23-year-old shared. “I was held for ransom on my project. They had all my records. Every single last one. All the features.” He continued to explain that he had to “rush the project out,” which affected the mixing. “That’s what Travis sent to me [on “KRAZY TRAIN”], I didn’t mix it.

“I had to run with it because if I didn’t, the whole project was going to release,” he continued. “They have been hacking and leaking s**t, at least my last two, three albums. Pegasus, it probably leaked two months before it dropped, bro, and it still did extremely well. I was like, if I don’t drop it now, then it’s going to be out there, and they’re going to hear it regardless. They’re going to hear the bad mix regardless, so I’m going to put it out unmixed and see what they think. Yeah, the album did leak, actually, two. I work through anything. God got the last laugh, you feel me? Like the devil going to throw so much at you, you can’t really let it bother you. Just take the bruises, you’ll heal eventually.” For the latest on Trippie Redd, log back into HNHH.

50 Cent Jokingly Dissed By Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X just jokingly dissed 50 Cent on Twitter, and responses clapped back so much that he muted the conversation. Moreover, he responded to a tweet with a cheeky and jesting message (in typical fashion), delivered briefly to his audience of 8 million followers. Furthermore, the tweet in question was a picture of both 50 and Nas X, basically comparing “rappers then” to “rappers now.” Not only that, but the user who posted the meme-like comparison said they saw it as a downfall for the genre. Then, the “INDUSTRY BABY” responded with a light jab at 50, but one that clearly aimed more at people who take offense to his claims that he’s better.

“This is not fair youre comparing a legend who has changed music forever to 50 cent,” he wrote. At the time of writing this article, the Queens legend hasn’t addressed or responded to either of these messages. Shortly after publishing them, though, the MONTERO rapper posted a screenshot of him muting the conversation for that tweet. As such, he probably got too much hate in his comments section and decided this time to just ignore it rather than clap back at it with a funny tweet like he usually does.

Lil Nas X Throws Some Funny Shade At 50 Cent

All that said, to see 50 respond to the Georgia-born artist would be interesting, to say the least, as he could go ay direction with it. Much like the “In Da Club” rapper himself, Nas X also likes to stir the pot and cause a ruckus online for his words and takes. However, some of that behavior turned damaging earlier this week. Moreover, his tweet about “gays in Africa” caught a lot of fire, primarily because it came soon after sweeping anti-LGBTQIA+ laws passed in Uganda.

With that in mind, if this actually becomes a feud and doesn’t land as the joke it is, things might get ugly. After all, 50’s no stranger to controversy himself, and has a fanbase as passionate and as numerous as Lil Nas X’s to this day. Sure, many could debate that last point either way, but they really do represent two different sides of hip-hop. Hopefully they remember that just because they’re not the same doesn’t mean they have to oppose each other. Or at the very least, they can make some good meme-worthy content out of this. Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Nas X and 50 Cent.

Lil Nas X Criticized For Tweet About “Gays” In Africa

Lil Nas X recently faced a lot of criticism on social media after he tweeted: “where do the gays be in africa i wanna come there.” Moreover, this is not like his typical funny tweets, like ones responding to claims that he’s fake gay. Rather, this message has a particularly difficult context, as Uganda just passed brutal and discriminatory anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation. Furthermore, simply identifying as anything other than straight male or straight female could land citizens in prison for ten years. In fact, it’s one of the most sweeping and damaging anti-gay laws in the world, and many are criticizing the MONTERO artist for his comment.

However, this isn’t the first time in recent memory that Nas X caught himself in hot water. For example, he recently apologized for making a joke about gender transitions on Twitter, where he posted a picture of him in a more feminine look. While backlash was swift, his apology also angered many as he seemed to respond out of anger to critics. “Apologies to the trans community,” he wrote before telling someone unhappy with his apology to “eat [his] a**.” “I def handled that situation with anger instead of considering why it was not cool. much love to you guys. sorry.”

Lil Nas X’s Inflammatory Tweet About “Gays” In Africa

Still, regardless of that spat, this tweet points to a timelier and much more dangerous issue of LGBTQIA+ discrimination across a whole country. Not only could citizens face for ten years for their identity, but citizens face imprisonment for life or even a death sentence for non-heterosexual acts of intimacy and “aggravated homosexuality.” As someone who typically champions and defends the community, many expressed disappointment in Lil Nas X’s comment.

Meanwhile, it’s unclear if that tweet was in response to said legislation or if the “INDUSTRY BABY” is unaware of the tweet’s unfortunate timing. In any case, he has yet to respond to these criticism as of writing this article. Also, this heat comes just days after his Lollapalooza performance, where he played unreleased music and seemed to have a good time. Hopefully, he can clear up his intentions with this tweet and avoid putting his foot in his mouth in the future. If not, it will be hard for many fans to see him on stage. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Nas X.

Saweetie Explains Liking Shady Tweet Directed At Lil Nas X

Everybody’s been in a situation where we might like a tweet with pictures without reading the caption. Unfortunately for celebrities, that might get you involved in some beef. Saweetie recently explained why she liked a tweet that threw shade at Lil Nas X and his Lollapalooza Chile performance this year. Of course, people took that to mean that she held ill will towards the MONTERO star, or just found the attack on him funny. However, Saweetie clarified her reasoning in a subsequent tweet and denied dissing Lil Nas X.

“I feel like he’s not really gay or not really that feminine it’s so forced,” the shady tweet in question read. While it’s still an assumption, at least it doesn’t stray into legitimately bigoted rhetoric. After many pointed out Saweetie’s like and called her out, she explained in a Twitter message. “He was lookin fine af,” the “Icy Chain” star wrote. “That’s why I liked the video I didn’t see the shadiness …. *unlikes*.” At least she also clarified that it was enough of a dealbreaker to unlike the tweet if it suggested Lil Nas X slander.

Saweetie Clarifies Liking Shady Tweet At Lil Nas X

In other news concerning the 29-year-old, she recently spoke on being referred to as “Queen of the Bay.” Even though she expressed appreciation, she wasn’t quick to agree with the moniker. “I don’t want to self-proclaim the ‘Queen statement.’ When I’m in certain cities or certain areas, they’ll just call me this and call me that. I’ve been called the ‘Queen of California’ and many queen things. It’s not something I’m trying to title, that’s why I had another voice say it on my [Single Life] project. I don’t like it when people self-proclaim.”

Meanwhile, during his Lollapalooza set, the “INDUSTRY BABY” artist debuted a upcoming collab with Saucy Santana, “Down Souf Hoes.” They’ve been performing it since 2022, and fans are clamoring to get a release as soon as possible. Fortunately, both stars are not stopping anytime soon. Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Nas X and Saweetie.
