Stephen A. Smith Can’t Keep It Together After Chris Russo Says “Booty”

When Chris “Mad Dog” Russo joined Stephen A. on First Take last year, fans weren’t exactly sure what to make of it. Overall, it was a hit from the beginning as Russo and Smith showcased a ton of chemistry. Although they typically have opposing views, their personalities work perfectly together.

Furthermore, they both come from the old-school way of broadcasting. While the young kids may not respect “Mad Dog,” Smith knows what he’s about. He knows that Russo is someone who has thought quite a bit about his takes, although knows when to amp up the energy.

Stephen A. Won’t Hold Back

There are some segments where these two cannot contain their laughter. Of course, this happened last week as Russo yelled at Smith for going on a book tour. Subsequently, we got yet another gem this week that almost had Stephen A. rolling on the floor laughing.

In the video clip down below, Smith and Russo are debating with Mel Kiper about what to do with NFL draft capital. At one point, Russo was talking about draft assets, however, he used the word “Booty.” While he meant in the treasure sense, Smith couldn’t help but think of the other meaning. This led to some hilarious laughter, with Kiper and Molly Qerim joining in. Russo tried to move on, however, the laughter was just too overwhelming.

This was definitely one of the funnier moments of the Chris Russo tenure on this show. A lot of the younger fans have finally come around him, and it seems like he will be part of the show for years to come.

Keke Palmer Seemingly Reveals Baby’s Gender On Jimmy Fallon: Watch

2022 was an undeniably big year for celebrity babies. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed their first together in May. Big Sean and Jhené Aiko followed suit a few months later. Additionally, Summer Walker became a mother of three after giving birth to twins in the last few days of December. Of course, there were plenty of major pregnancy announcements as well, including Keke Palmer’s during her hosting stint on Saturday Night Live last month.

While giving her opening monologue, the Jump In! starlet mentioned the rumours that have been circulating online about her having a bun in the oven. Popping open her shirt to reveal an obviously budding baby bump, she happily confirmed them to the world.

In the weeks since, fans have been eager to learn everything they can about Palmer’s forthcoming family, and her low-profile relationship with Darius Jackson.

We’ve seen some heartwarming social media content from them in recent weeks, including Christmas celebrations and a beautiful birthday tribute from the 29-year-old to her beau. It remains unclear exactly when the parents-to-be are expecting their bundle of joy. During a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, though, the former child star seemingly revealed its gender.

“I don’t want to be too blunt for my baby boy,” she casually said while discussing possible zodiac signs that her offspring could have. As Page Six notes, Twitter users immediately flocked to the platform, reacting to the news. “Wait. Did Keke Palmer just reveal she’s having a boy on Jimmy Fallon?!” one person wrote alongside emotional emojis.

Another added, “Keke Palmer is going to be a great boy mom. Coming from a Virgo boy mom. We’re too mean for girls.”

Before she shared the exciting news of her pregnancy with the world last December, Palmer sat down on the Whoreible Decisions podcast. In that interview, the actress was candid about some of her bedroom preferences, including girl-on-girl porn and being submissive.

Nipsey Hussle Joke In ‘Family Guy’ Episode Stirs Debate

Nipsey Hussle Joke In ‘Family Guy’ Episode Stirs Debate

Nipsey Hussle is Hip-Hop royalty, which means protecting him at all costs. The West Coast rapper was fatally shot on March 31st, 2019, outside his The Marathon Clothing store in South Central, Los Angeles.

Today, a joke about Nipsey Hussle in an episode of Family Guy has resurfaced online and all over social media, stirring up controversy amongst fans. Directed by Jerry Langford, the episode is titled “Young Parent Trap,” which aired in April of 2021 during the show’s 19th season.

During the scene, Chris (who’s voiced by Seth Green) is heard telling his parents, Peter and Lois, that he plans on attending a local music festival called Quachella. When Peter (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) asks for more information, Chris states, “They’re gonna have holograms of Tupac and also Nipsey Hussle, who I’d never heard of and then was told to care immensely about.”

The video on Twitter has since gone viral, clocking in at 2.2 million views since it was posted early in the morning. Many fans came to defend Nipsey Hussle for the show’s dark humor towards his death, while some argued that this is precisely in line with the sense of humor that Family Guy is known for.

The reference stems from Tupac’s hologram appearance during Dr. Dre’s headlining set at Coachella back in 2012, as a virtual Tupac was seen performing with the legendary Snoop Dogg.
Nipsey Hussle was considered a legend in the underground scene. Some would even say he reached the mainstream light, especially with the release of his debut album, Victory Lap. Regardless, any joke regarding someone’s death should not be taken lightly; unfortunately, this wasn’t caught earlier.

Joseph Sikora Reveals Which “Power” Character Deserves A Spin-Off

Joseph Sikora recently revealed which character in the Power universe should have their own spin-off.

As 50 Cent plots on producing a few more spin-offs of BMF, it comes after the success of the Power universe. Shortly after, Fif and Courtney Kemp launched three spin-offs: Power II: Ghost, Power III: Raising Kanan, and Power IV: Force. The latter follows the story of Tommy Egan, played by Joseph Sikora, from New York City to establish himself in Chicago.

During the red carpet for Fear, starring Sikora, T.I., and Annie IIonzeh, the Power star was asked who he felt in the series deserved a spin-off. He didn’t hesitate to give Kris D Lofton his flowers during the interview. Lofton, who delivered an incredible performance Force, stars as Jerard Sampson.

Sikora said he’d love to see a spin-off focused on Sampson.

“I would love to see a spinoff about Jenard,” he told BallerAlert. “He’s such a complex character played beautifully by [Kris D. Lofton]. Season one, he was amazing, and [I] can’t wait for fans to see him in season two.”

Power IV: Force debuted in February 2022 following the success of Raising Kanan and Ghost, immediately becoming a favorite spin-off in the Power franchise. Along with Sikora and Lofton, the show also stars Isaac Keys, Lucien Cambric, Anthony Fleming III, Gabriel Ryan, and more. Additionally, Jeremih and Freddie Gibbs also landed roles in the series.

Starz renewed the series for a second season but they haven’t confirmed when it would premiere.

We’ll keep you updated on Power IV: Force season 2.

“Family Guy” Joke About Nipsey Hussle Resurfaces: Twitter Reacts

Before the era of cancel culture emerged, Family Guy stood as one of the few shows that pushed the boundaries as far as possible. Evidently, the showrunners aren’t afraid to touch on any subject matter. Unfortunately, the late Nipsey Hussle became a target in a 2021 episode, which resurfaced earlier today.

Just a few years following Nip’s death, Family Guy threw shade at the rapper in a 2021 episode. “Young Parent Trap” from season 19 aired in April 2021. During the episode, Chris discusses plans to attend a festival with his parents. He then provides Lois and Peter with more information regarding the concert, including hologram performances from two late West Coast legends.

“They’re gonna have holograms of 2Pac and also Nipsey Hussle, who I’d never heard of and then was told to care immensely about,” Chris says.

The comments led to a flurry of responses. Some people felt as though Family Guy tried to slander Nipsey Hussle. However, many looked at it as a jab toward those who only began showing love to Nip after his passing. Those who defended the joke suggested that Family Guy’s had worse jokes in the past compared to the slight towards Nipsey Hussle.

One person agreed with the TV show’s assessment of Nipsey Hussle.

“I didn’t know who the hell Nipsey Hussle was till he got shot and was all over my damn timeline,” one fan wrote. “So I definitely get the joke and I don’t see how it’s out of pocket. Have y’all seen Family Guy??”

Overall, it seems like people feel as thought the backlash isn’t warranted. Still, a lot of fans weren’t happy over the disrespect towards Nipsey’s legacy.

Missy Elliott Teases A Love Triangle With Jack Harlow In A New Doritos Teaser Ahead Of The Super Bowl

We are just weeks away from Super Bowl LVII, and while the game is a thrill in and of itself, fans look equally forward to the star-studded commercials. Over the past few weeks Doritos has teased a scandalous love triangle-themed spot with Jack Harlow. Now, it seems like hip-hop icon Missy Elliott is joining in on the fun.

In the clip, Elliott answers a phone call from the “First Class” hitmaker himself.

“What’s up? Collab? You know I’ve been waiting to collab,” she says on the phone.

Shortly after, Elliott looks puzzled.

“A love triangle?” Elliott says. “I don’t know about that.”

Though Harlow himself is neither seen nor heard during the sneak preview, Elliott’s reactions say it all. At the end of the clip, the screen reads “2.12.2023,” suggesting that both stars will appear in the Doritos ad set to air during the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl LVII will take place on February 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Kick-off will begin at 6:30 EST and the game will broadcast on Fox.

You can check out the sneak peek of the Doritos spot above.

Chrisean Rock’s Therapy Session Finds Her Getting Real About Childhood Trauma

Chrisean Rock’s tumultuous relationship with Blueface is sheer entertainment for some, but incredibly painful to watch for others. The duo is undeniably talented at making money. However, they also have a history of physical violence within their union, and with outsiders.

The first few episodes of their Crazy In Love series on Zeus covered plenty of these antics. More recently, though, the couple has been trying out healing tactics, such as therapy, on camera.

While Rock was initially resistant to the idea of seeking mental health help, she eventually sat down with Dr. Ish to dive into her toxic relationship and traumatic childhood.

As we previously reported, while discussing things with Blueface, the 22-year-old admitted to engaging in “flip outs” when a perceived threat appears to target their rocky coupledom. “I might do certain things to get his attention, but that’s only because I want it my way,” she shared with her therapist.

Elsewhere in the same conversation, Rock revealed that growing up around her abusive father was a terrifying experience for her. According to the reality starlet, the family patriarch would lay hands on her mother, sisters, and Chrisean. “My mother, his go to was to tie her up and beat her,” the Baltimore native recalled.

“He would line all my sisters up out back against the wall. He would put me against the wall – and I ain’t do nothing – with them,” she went on, getting emotional. “Like, I’m young as f*ck, I don’t know what’s going on… He would make sure he would slap one on each cheek.”

Afterward, Dr. Ish asked the entertainer if she struggles with empty feelings inside. To this, she said that there are days when she feels the need to sleep in because “it hurts so much [she doesn’t] want to move.”

In other news, Chrisean certainly made a splash at this past weekend’s Baddies West premiere. While she donned a red carpet-ready look for the event, that didn’t stop her from throwing hands at her former stylist.

Catch the video of those ridiculous antics here, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.

Drake Revived His Classic ‘Degrassi’ Character During His Apollo Theater Concert

Drake postponed his first-ever shows at the Apollo Theater from early December to Saturday, January 21 and Sunday, January 22, and the general consensus is that he could have postponed them to January 2024 and the wait would have been worth it. From performing an exhaustive set list to teasing a potential new project, Drake brought everything to the stage.

According to Billboard, Drake’s set was just as much a visual chronicle of his journey as it was a musical one. Drake opened the show with “Over My Dead Body” from 2011’s Take Care while wearing the same basketball jersey worn by Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation. Drake starred in the role from 2001 to 2009 — when he was still best known as Aubrey Graham — and he also mocked his haircut from that time elsewhere in the show.

“I wanted to make this show about gratitude,” Drake told the crowd near the top of the show, per Billboard. “This is a little story we put together about my deep love for my family, for my dear friends and for each and every one of you that have been supporting me for a long time.”

Drake also shared the stage with his Her Loss collaborator 21 Savage, Dipset, and Lil Uzi Vert across the two nights. Check out clips below.

Chrisean Rock Reflects On Her Anger Issues In Therapy: “It Is What It Is”

Since they first got together, Blueface and Chrisean Rock’s relationship has been nothing short of tumultuous. Luckily for them, it’s also made for entertaining reality TV, as we’ve seen play out on their Crazy In Love show.

With new episodes airing every Sunday, the on-again-off-again pair has brought plenty of eyebrow-raising antics to screens both big and small. Recently, there’s been plenty of feuding between the rapper and his mother, as well as the usual bickering between the starring couple.

This weekend, Blueface took it upon himself to suggest therapy for him and Rock. It’s no secret that the duo has had their share of physical altercations in the past, and their verbal abuse is, at times, near constant.

Though the 22-year-old was resistant to the idea at first, she eventually gave in and sat down with Dr. Ish for a candid conversation. In a video circulating online, the reality starlet alternates between sipping liquor and a red bull as her therapist speaks.

Initially, they discuss Blueface and Chrisean tells the doctor that he has “a great heart.” He responds by pointing out that her man’s lack of commitment seems to be a trigger point for her. “You’re in love, and when stuff happens that looks like it’s threatening that, it hurts your feelings.”

“Yeah, and I flip out,” she admits. “I might do certain things to get his attention, but that’s only because I want it my way.”

Dr. Ish then asks his client to elaborate on her “flip outs,” which are undeniably extreme sometimes. In response, Rock says that her behaviour is likely to have her put in jail.

“We want that to not happen, you know what I mean?” the therapist asks as the Baltimore native takes a shot. “But the type of n*gga he is,” she responds with a laugh, “it got to happen.”

“Does it though?” Ish questioned Rock. “I don’t know,” she says back. “Do you like it like that?” he asks her. “It is what it is,” she concludes.

In other news, Blueface was recently asked about his thoughts on Drake following Chrisean Rock. The 26-year-old claimed that the Canadian is “infatuated” with him, among other things.

Read all about that juicy conversation here, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.
