Drake wound up watching a clip from comedian Mo Gilligan on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he discussed meeting the Toronto rapper at the Wireless Festival in London. While there, Gilligan recounted the fact that things got a little awkward.

“My friend, Javan, was like, ‘Drake, you’ve got something in your tooth, a little red thing in your tooth,’” Gilligan explained. “And Drake’s like, ‘Is it gone?’”

“I’m looking at [Javan] like, ‘Bruv, you’re really messing up this interaction right now! And then Drake’s like, ‘Is it a pepper?’” he continued. “This is how I knew this was Drake. He goes, ‘Oh yeah, that’s my diamond. I got a diamond in my tooth.’”

After Drake saw the clip on social media, he pointed out that it wasn’t the first time he’s been mistaken for someone with food in their teeth.

“I actually got that diamond changed after this interaction cause this was the 10th time someone said it was food,” he commented on an Instagram post.

Drake has been open about having a pink diamond in his tooth, including after one fan remarked back in 2018 about how even with all his money, “your teeth don’t look clean.” He fired back about how he brushes his teeth with “activated charcoal” before heading to the club.

It seems Drake learned his lesson about only keeping his diamonds in jewelry pieces — and not in his teeth.

Offset & Don Toliver Showed That They’re ‘Worth It’ With A Scorching Performance On ‘Fallon’

There are plenty of things “Say My Grace” rapper Offset has to be thankful for, including his beautiful children, wife and fellow entertainer Cardi B, and his hot career. To show his gratitude for his fans’ unwavering support of his latest album, Set It Off, Offset took a trip down to the studios of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

While there, he was sure to bring friend and collaborator Don Toliver to deliver a scorching performance of their track “Worth It.” Toliver and Offset are known for their smooth dance moves, so neither is held back as they work the performance space. To bring some warmth to the otherwise cold New York City Thanksgiving Day holiday (November 23), the pair used a tropical background to warm up the chilly ambiance.

Last month, during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Offset revealed that in order to push himself out of his creative slump with his album, he thought back on the support he had from his late Migos member, Takeoff.

“Even on my own journey, I still feel his presence and his energy like, bro, ‘We got to go hard. We got to win. We got to win. This ain’t the end of it. We got to win.’ So that’s another thing that pushed me through is my boy, Take[off], man. He didn’t care that he didn’t care about the numbers, nothing. He like, ‘Bro, y’all’s sh*t hard.’ He’s just very supportive in that. I just keep that in the back of my mind and just keep pushing,” said Offset.

Meek Mill & Rick Ross’ ‘Fallon’ Performance Of Their Song ‘Shaq & Kobe’ Was An All-Star Showing

Yesterday (November 10), Meek Mill and Rick Ross’ joint album, Too Good To Be True, hit streaming services. To celebrate the milestone, both rappers gave an all-star performance of the project’s lead single, “Shaq & Kobe,” on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

As veterans in hip-hop and longstanding collaborators, Meek and Ross’ high-energy set wasn’t just limited to their latest body of work. The duo decided to surprise viewers with a performance of Meek’s 2012 “Ima Boss,” featuring Ross.

Ross shared what led to their collaborative album during an appearance on The Morning Hustle. “This was the right time,” he replied. “We’re both solo artists and both doing our thing. I’m building MMG, and he’s building Dream Chasers [Records]. I felt like this was the right time. You know what I mean, it just came together. So we spent a little time together and got into the studio. Sh*t just came together too easily; it just flowed,” said Ross.

Pete Davidson Reveals Selling VHS Tapes Is His New Side Hustle

Now that the writer’s strike is over, late-night television is back in business. That’s good for Pete Davidson, who has been a regular on the late-night circuit since his time on Saturday Night Live. He’s actually returning to the show this weekend as host of the first new episode since the show returned. Ice Spice is also coming along for the ride and serving as musical guest. It’s good timing for Spice who has a brand new song with Rema coming out this weekend.

Recently on a new episode of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon Davidson appeared as a guest. While there he explained his idea for how to get rich, and it involves reselling VHS tapes. “Listen to this, guys. So in 2026, it’ll be 20 years since the last VHS was made, right? So 20 years go by… that’s enough time for people to be like, ‘Oh, that was cool, remember?’ Like vinyl,” he explains. He mentioned that he’s purchased between 3,000 and 5,000 VHS tapes which has the audience cracking up. But it seems to have paid off for him. “So, as of a month ago, sealed VHSes are now going for like 20 to 30 grand a pop. Rocky just sold for like $27,000. Yeah, it’s my GameStop! Like, dude, I own all of them. Dude, no one believed in me.” Check out the full interview below.

Pete Davidson’s VHS Collecting Pays Off

Last month, Pete Davidson was subject to even more dating rumors in what seems like an endless series of relationships. This time the rumors center around Madelyn Cline who is best known for acting in the Netflix show Outer Banks. Previously Davidson had been dating his Bodies Bodies Bodies co-star Chase Sui Wonders.

Pete Davidson has also been in a strange feud with PETA since he bought a dog earlier this year. The beef spiraled into a heated voicemail Davidson left the group and a Halloween costume themed around the comedian. What do you think of Pete Davidson’s new interview on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon? Let us know in the comment section below.

Taraji P. Henson Says Beyonce’s Birthday Plans Ruined Her Renaissance Outfit Idea

Taraji P. Henson says that she had an outfit in place for Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour for months in advance, but was forced to audible when the legendary singer announced she wanted everyone to wear silver in honor of her birthday. Henson recalled the awkward incident during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The conversation arose when Fallon asked how she landed on the ninja-inspired outfit she went with for the Los Angeles concert.

“I had already had my outfit picked out for [Beyoncé’s] show, months in advance,” the comedian explained. “Then, she does this, ‘Oh, it’s my birthday. Let’s all wear silver.’ So, I mean, my house is being renovated and my clothes are in storage, so I randomly happened to buy this off of those Instagram Shopping pages.”

From there, Henson explained that the outfit was so low in quality that she had to throw it out after one use. “At the end of the day, that’s all I had for Beyoncé. It was kind of silver, had silver sparklies on it,” she recalled. “Long story short, I did have to throw it away at the end of the night because it had snags and holes — but thanks, Instagram Shopping!” Check out Taraji P. Here Are The Musical Guests For ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ This Week

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is back on the air this week after the WGA received a fair agreement following a months-long writers strike. However, since the Screen Actors Guild is still on strike, actors can appear as guests but cannot promote their projects.

Because of this, the late-night shows are also bringing on some fun musical guests to entertain the audience. Here’s who’s been scheduled so far for this week.

John Mayer — Monday, October 2

John Mayer appeared as Jimmy Fallon’s musical guest for the show’s return on Monday. He followed Matthew McConaughey on the night’s lineup, and Fallon had some jokes about it. “And Matthew McConaughey will sing too,” he said. “I haven’t asked him yet, but… Matthew will you?”

Jelly Roll — Tuesday, October 3

Tonight, Jelly Roll is the musical guest. For those not familiar, he is a country musician and rapper on the rise. He took home three CMT Awards earlier this year and just dropped a new album, Whitsitt Chapel, in June.

Carly Pearce — Wednesday, October 4

The Tonight Show will keep the country vibes going on Wednesday with Carly Pearce as the performer. The Grammy Award winner is also a member of the Grand Old Opry as of 2021.

Maluma — Thursday, October 5

While there currently aren’t any actors scheduled to appear on the Thursday episode, according to TV Guide, Maluma will be there to bring the energy. His latest album is this summer’s Don Juan.

Killer Mike feat. Robert Glasper and Eryn Allen Kane — Friday, October 6

Finally, to close out the week, Killer Mike will be joined by special guests including the Grammy-winning jazz musician Robert Glasper and Eryn Allen Kane for a not-to-miss performance.

Questlove Shared When He Realized The Roots Were ‘Not Friends’ Anymore And How Jimmy Fallon Fixed It

Conan O’Brien gets the most out of his guests on the Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend podcast. He bonded with Japanese Breakfast over her Coachella set. Chris Martin explained why Bruce Springsteen is to blame for his decision to stop eat dinner. Billie Eilish shared “heartbreaking” advice she once received from her idol-turned-friend Justin Bieber. And now, Questlove has spilled some tea about The Roots.

Questlove was O’Brien’s guest for the September 4 episode of the podcast, and their hour-plus conversation included insight into how Jimmy Fallon helped piece The Roots back together again.

Questlove explained that personal and professional responsibilities were stretching The Roots thin around 2009, so they wished “a Celine Dion situation would happen,” meaning a stable residency. Their version of that was joining up with Fallon, first on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and then as the in-house band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which he said “is what we needed to actually bond and be friends again.”

The Grammy and Oscar winner then shared a story involving the Red Hot Chili Peppers around 2006 that had previously made him realize that he was no longer friends with his longtime bandmates

“We’re on tour with the Chili Peppers, and it’s a European tour. And they’re playing, like, soccer — I’m sorry, post-[Ted] Lasso, football stadiums,” he said. “You know, it’s like 80,000 to 120,000 [people] a night. Every three to four songs, those guys get into sort of a football magic circle huddle. By the fourth time they do this, I’m thinking like, ‘Oh, they’re gonna call an audible and change up the setlist.’ And then, I had the setlist in my hand, I’m like, Wait, they didn’t change anything. … Why do they keep having these little meetings every five songs, and nothin’ changes from what I know the show to be?

He continued, “I see Flea in catering, and I’m like, ‘Dude, what are you guys talking about when you go into that huddle?’ And Flea is like, ‘Yo, man, it’s like, I don’t know, man. We’re just so full of gratitude.’”

While Questlove was initially “dismissive” of Flea’s reasoning, his manager put it into perspective: The Red Hot Chili Peppers “actually” liked each other, and The Roots has unknowingly transitioned from being friends to “just business partners” around 2006 or ’07.

“I realized, Ah, sh*t. We’re really not friends. We’re just nine strangers that just play the same songs every night, and that’s it,” Questlove said. “What wound up happening at Fallon is Jimmy has a way of disarming you. At least for the first six years, we were 13-year-olds in adults’ bodies, we could do silly things and not feel like we’re gonna lose our street cred because we’re doing silly sh*t.”

At one point, Questlove said, Fallon “talked The Roots into an eight-man human pyramid,” which perfectly illustrated how crucial Fallon would be to reconnecting them with each other and their individual humanity.

Sampa The Great Was Great While Performing ‘Let Me Be Great’ With Angélique Kidjo On ‘The Tonight Show’

Sampa The Great made waves with As Above, So Below last September.

“If Sampa The Great was a man, her new album As Above, So Below would already be in the conversation as one of the top five rap albums of the year,” Uproxx’s Aaron Williams leveled while reviewing the album. “As it is, I have to be Thanos in this situation and do it myself; Sampa’s new album doesn’t just deserve to be considered one of the top five rap albums of 2022… it is.”

Sampa gave more people an opportunity to arrive at the same conclusion last night, April 19, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She brought along Angélique Kidjo to perform “Let Me Be Great,” their closing track of As Above, So Below, with an assist from The Roots.

It was an evening of Black excellence all around, as Sampa The Great and Angélique Kidjo met former United States First Lady Michelle Obama, a guest on the episode.

“LEGENDS ONLY!” Sampa captioned her Instagram photo. “What an honour.”

Sampa doesn’t need permission to be great, and she reflected on where she’s arrived last October when her As Above, So Below track “Never Forget” featuring Chef 187, Mwanjé, and Tio Nason soundtracked the official trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

“Can you imagine!” Sampa tweeted at the time. “Me … A non-Billboard charting ass, No huge awards having ass, non Viral ass, No sold-out arena tour having ass Independent artist. Whose song is on a Black Panther trailer! This how God works. Thankful!!”

Lil Uzi Vert On “The Tonight Show”: Watch Rapper Perform “Just Wanna Rock”

Lil Uzi Vert has been doing their part to keep listeners enticed lately, frequently hinting at an upcoming collaboration with Playboi Carti. Earlier this month, a version of their “Sauce Real Hard” single surfaced online, generating plenty of buzz for what else the duo may be cooking up. Aside from that, the Philly-born rapper was also announced as a part of Pharrell’s Something In The Water festival lineup, along with Lil Wayne and other famous friends.

More recently on LUV’s agenda, however, was last night’s (March 27) appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The eccentric artist didn’t sit down to converse with the host, though they did drop by to perform 2022’s “Just Wanna Rock,” which has quickly become a favourite from their discography. Surrounded by a crew of talented dancers, Lil Uzi brings out impressive moves of his own while letting out the track’s brief verses.

Lil Uzi Vert on The Tonight Show

“Hit it once, no ties, how the f*ck you gon’ kill my vibe? / Stand on my money, don’t know my size / Pick them sides, and you better choose wisely / That’s my high, one, two, three, four, throw up the five, that’s my high,” the fast-paced lyrics go. While there isn’t much to the words, the Jersey-club-inspired “Just Wanna Rock” beat had audiences in the studio and at home grooving along with the 27-year-old’s performance.

Earlier this year, ahead of the Super Bowl, DJ Drama sparked an interesting hip-hop debate by suggesting that Lil Uzi Vert’s single could replace Meek Mill’s “Dreams and Nightmares” as the Philadelphia Eagles’ unofficial anthem. While many understood what the Generation Now founder was getting at with his comments, even the rappers themselves argued that the latter song could never be topped. “I don’t think so,” the “Myron” artist responded at the time. “That song like been around for a very long time, and that song is still hitting exactly the same way. I’m just gonna have to see, you know, in a couple of years or a decade or whatever.” Check out a video of LUV’s performance on Fallon above, and tune in later for more hip-hop news updates.

Damson Idris Tells Jimmy Fallon What His Mom Thinks Of His Acting: Watch

Damson Idris is perhaps best known for his work on FX’s Snowfall, though he’s been hard at work on plenty of other projects as well lately. Among them is his budding romantic relationship with Lori Harvey, as well as Donald Glover’s Swarm. In the latter, the English actor reportedly appears in just one episode as a love interest to Chloe Bailey, who’s a series regular. She recently revealed that he was able to make her first experience filming a love scene much less awkward, and they even laughed together while a bouncy ball separated their bodies away from the cameras.

With the recent premiere of Snowfall‘s sixth season, as well as the upcoming Amazon Prime Video release, it was the perfect time for Idris to make an appearance on The Tonight Show and catch Jimmy Fallon up on his life. During their chat, the 31-year-old revealed what his mother thinks of his career, sharing that she sometimes has trouble separating his antics on-screen from his real life. “I’m Nigerian, right?” he told the audience last week.

Damson Idris Appears on “The Tonight Show”

“So my mum, she didn’t know that this wasn’t real. She thought everything was real, right? The first time I had an on-screen kiss she was like, ‘Ah ah! Damsy! How can you cheat on your girlfriend? In front of your family!’” Idris animatedly recalled to Fallon. “So then, I get Franklin Saint, right? He’s obviously a drug dealer. She’s like, ‘Ah ah! So now you are selling cocaine?! In front of the whole world!”

The story elicited plenty of laughter from not only the late-night host but also the audience. Afterward, Fallon brought out a photo of Idris with his mother and other family members at the Snowfall season six premiere, proving she’s obviously embraced his drug-dealing ways. See the heartwarming image for yourself below, and check back later for more pop culture and hip-hop news updates.
