Travis Scott Wilding On A Car At A Recent Show: Watch

Travis Scott is feeling fired up. The rapper was recently cleared of all wrongdoing from the 2021 Astroworld Festival tragedy, in which multiple people were injured and killed due to a swelling crowd. The civil and criminal charges were dropped, letting Travis move on with his life and career. His latest stunt: Hyping the crowds up yet again, this time jumping and performing on an SUV at Openair Frauenfeld. The biggest European hip-hop festival kicked things off with a bang, with Scott turning everything up to eleven.

Openair Frauenfeld 2023 goes from July 6th to the 8th, which means Travis Scott was the main opening act. Fans were over-the-moon with Scott’s performance. This makes sense, considering he’s always been a tremendous live performer. And while many speculated whether he’d dial it back due to the Astroworld tragedy in Houston a few years back, that wasn’t the case Thursday night. Travis is back to being 100 percent himself.

Travis Scott & The “UTOPIA” Drop

Travis Scott isn’t just driving the masses wild with his stage antics. He is ramping up marketing for his upcoming album, UTOPIA. His most recent tease comes via a new tour bus with the album title in big letters. He’s also been filming an album commercial all over the world, tagging the name on random buildings in Europe and other places. It’s been a minute since a new Scott tracklist surfaced, so UTOPIA is anticipated with wild expectations, for sure.

In other Travis Scott news, he was partying with Quavo and a ton of other music celebrities at Michael Rubin’s white-out party. The night featured everybody donning all-white clothing and cutting loose. Guests included Tom Brady, Kevin Hart, French Montana, Meek Mill, Odell Beckham, and James Harden. Mobbing with the stars and leaping on cars; it’s safe to say Travis is all the way back to his fast-life, go-wild self.

The UTOPIA marketing is continuing for Travis Scott. The rapper pulled up to Michael Rubin’s Fourth of July party in the UTOPIA-branded tour bus.

Travis Scott’s Utopia may have a release date. Billboards have popped up across Los Angeles and reveal a release date of July 21.

Last week, in an image online, SZA’s security is spotted with a Utopia briefcase handcuffed to his arm, just like Scott’s was. SZA’s guard is positioned outside of her SOS Tour dressing room.

The two have impressive chemistry together as they teamed together for “Love Galore” on the CTRL album and “Open Arms” on the recently released SOS.

Complex also has confirmed the two have been working on new music together.

In addition to SZA, Bad Bunny and Travis Scott linked up. Two of the biggest stars walking the planet have teamed for a single, and La Flame teased the track while at a club in Monaco.

Travis Scott’s Milan Concert Causes Mini Earthquake

Aside from Lil Uzi Vert’s recently released Pink Tape, Travis Scott’s UTOPIA is one of the most highly anticipated albums of 2023. The father of two has been dropping hints about his upcoming work for months now. He may have even hinted at a potential release date on a recent billboard. Even without any new music out, Scott has also been back on the festival circuit this year. Most recently, he made a trip overseas to perform at various events across Europe.

While headlining Longitude Festival in Dublin, Ireland, the Houston native brought his new collaboration with LUV, “Aye” to the stage for the first time. That obviously made headlines along with other Pink Tape promotional antics. However, what’s really got the world talking is Scott’s show in Milan, Italy. According to news reports, it impacted not only attendees but also Mother Earth in a very serious way.

As shown in the video on the last slide of the post above, Travis’ fans were so eager to see him back in action that a literal earthquake took place. “This ni**a different 😂 Thanos $cott,” one Instagram user wrote under @ourgenerationmusic’s post. “Firefighters [received] hundred of calls from the [neighbourhood], window and floor [trembling]. At the end, we’re Italian Travis fans😂🔥,” someone else who was seemingly at the show shared in the comments.

Others were quick to compare the incident to the rapper’s deadly 2021 concert, which forced him to spend several months out of the spotlight as blame was thrown his way for the tragic crowd crush that unfolded. Speaking of Astroworld Festival, it was announced last month that Travis Scott could face criminal charges over the fatal catastrophic event. After some deliberation, however, a jury decided to clear the father of two of any wrongdoing. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Travis Scott Reportedly Filming “Utopia” Album Trailer

Mr. Travis Scott has been in the news a decent amount recently, despite not putting out much new music. A grand jury just cleared the Houston native days ago for the Astroworld Festival tragedy that happened at one of his concerts in 2021, in which multiple fans in the crowd were crushed to death. Since he’s avoided criminal and civil charges, the rapper is back to making content for the world. He was on Lil Uzi Vert’s new album, Pink Tape, with the mosh pit banger “Aye.” This marks the first collaboration between the two since 2018’s “Watch.”

Now, Travis Scott is setting his sights on a brand-new album, complete with hijinks media stunts. From the verified Twitter account TRAVIS SCOTT FAN PAGE (@RodeoTheAlbum), Scott is getting ready to unleash UTOPIA, his first full-length album since 2018’s Astroworld. And he’s already pulling off some publicity for the announced project. He’s dropping an album trailer soon, with Scott “‘looking for UTOPIA’ in different countries across the world,” according to the Tweet. There’s also a video of Travis Scott spray-painting the word “UTOPIA” in Tarragona, Spain. This gives credit to the international feel of the album trailer.

Travis Scott And The “UTOPIA” Hype

Scott is trying to put Astroworld Festival completely behind him. With the jury clearing him and a new single out with Lil Uzi Vert, he’s looking for a fresh start. Going around to different countries and spray-painting his new album’s name on foreign walls might seem a tad reckless. But it’s harmless and should make for an exciting album trailer. While there’s no news on when the album or trailer will drop, we do know he’s filming in far-flung locations.

Travis Scott is easily one of the best rappers in the game in 2023. Even with a five-year hiatus on his next album, he has remained in the pop culture canon with other music. He’s collaborated with Kid Cudi, Yeat, and Bad Bunny. There was recent speculation that he and SZA might be dating. And he’s been busy crafting hype for UTOPIA, shelling out for billboard ads, and updating his website with the UTOPIA logo. Whenever the album trailer and album drops, best believe his fans will be ready.

Travis Scott & Festival Organizers Not Facing Criminal Charges For Astroworld Tragedy

Travis Scott

Travis Scott and the organizers of the Astroworld Festival will not face criminal charges over the deadly crowd rush that occurred during the event in November 2021. Travis Scott Brings The Energy To His New Collaboration With Lil Uzi Vert For ‘Aye’

Lil Uzi Vert just unleashed Pink Tape. With 26 tracks, an unexpected cover of System Of A Down’s “Chop Suey,” and features from Nicki Minaj, Bring Me The Horizon, Don Toliver, and more, it’s a must-listen. However, the most exciting collaboration on the album might be “Aye” with Travis Scott.

“Aye” is sure to be a hit as a live performance. The track is invigorating all the way through: “I put them diamonds my teeth (Aye) / Might put somе diamonds my nose (Aye) / Aye, I put them diamonds my teeth (Aye) / Might put some diamonds my nosе (Aye, huh?).” The two rappers together bring a lot of energy to the table.

The unveiling of this song is a relief for fans of the “Sicko Mode” performer, whose highly anticipated new album Utopia still doesn’t have an official release date. However, billboards recently intimated that the album might be arriving on July 21. The ongoing delay is a result of the 2021 Astroworld tragedy, which he will not face charges for: “He never encouraged people to do anything that resulted in other people being hurt… Travis is not responsible,” his lawyer Kent Schaffer said. There were 10 deaths and hundreds of injuries.

Travis Scott Won’t Face Criminal Charges As A Result Of The Astroworld Tragedy

Travis Scott won’t face criminal charges as a result of the 2021 Astroworld tragedy after a Texas grand jury declined to indict him for the events that led to 10 deaths and hundreds of injuries, according to the Associated Press. AP cites Travis’ lawyer Kent Schaffer, who said that he wasn’t sure what criminal charges were being considered, but was adamant that Travis did nothing that could have prompted the crowd surge that led to the slew of injuries.

While calling the decision a “great relief,” Schaffer said, “He never encouraged people to do anything that resulted in other people being hurt… Travis is not responsible. Bringing criminal charges against him will not ease their” — meaning the victims and their families, many of whom believe the rapper should be held liable, as his name was on the festival flyer and the injuries occurred during his headlining set. Travis and promoter Live Nation are being sued in hundreds of cases that were ultimately combined to be tried as one case.

An official investigation by police and federal officials was held to determine if Live Nation and Travis had been criminally negligent in the safety measures in place at the festival. For his part, Travis maintains that he did not have any idea anything was wrong — which is why he continued performing for nearly 30 minutes. Victims’ families have cited him encouraging dangerous behavior at past shows as a sign that he should be held responsible anyway.

Travis Scott Faces Possible Criminal Charges For The 2021 Astroworld Tragedy

Travis Scott has so far faced a lot of legal action following the fatal crowd crush at his Astroworld festival in 2021: In early 2022, over 300 lawsuits were combined into a single case. Now, though, it appears the rapper could be facing criminal charges.

Reuters reports that today (June 29), a grand jury in Houston is meeting about bringing criminal charges against Scott. Kent Schaffer, Scott’s lawyer, confirmed the news and noted it was unclear if the jury’s decision would arrive today. Schaffer attested, though, “Nothing Travis did or failed to do fits within the Texas criminal code.”

As Reuters notes, “Prosecutors will present evidence to grand jurors and ask them whether there is probable cause to support criminal charges. The proceeding does not necessarily mean any charges will be filed.”

The impact of the crowd crush was wide-ranging: A court filing from last year revealed that there were nearly 5,000 claims of injuries stemming from the incident. Overall, the crowd crush resulted in 10 documented deaths. One woman trapped in the crowd crush also claimed it caused her to have a miscarriage.

Meanwhile, Scott has been busy teasing the release of his upcoming album, Utopia. It’s not yet clear when the project is set to be unveiled, but it looks like something might be coming on July 21.

Travis Scott Facing Criminal Charges For 2021 Astroworld Festival

Back in 2021, a crowd at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival in Texas turned deadly as multiple people were crushed. At the end of the panic, 10 people died, and thousands of people were injured. Now, a Texas grand jury is meeting today to determine if Scott is subject to criminal charges for the incident. The Houston native and his attorney, Kent Schaffer, are unsure if the jury will issue anything specifically today. The DA’s office in Harris County has yet to comment on the matter.

Schaffer is confident that Travis Scott is not liable for this unfortunate situation, saying, “Nothing Travis did or failed to do fits within the Texas criminal code.” Prosecutors, on the other hand, will present evidence today that’s in direct opposition to that statement. In 2021, Astroworld Houston saw an overcrowded group of Scott fans swell toward the stage when he came on. Because of this, ten people died due to compressive asphyxiation. Essentially, the crowd crushed certain people, and those people could not breathe, effectively killing them.

Prosecutors claim Scott, festival organizers, and Live Nation (a Ticketmaster affiliate) allowed too many people to enter the venue. This was in disregard to the risks of overcrowding. Plaintiffs argue that Scott and the organizers wanted to give the appearance of a packed concert. Over 4900 fans faced injuries after the mass crushing. The Texas grand jury consolidated all of the lawsuits stemming from this tragic situation in a process called multidistrict litigation. That way, whatever the ruling is, that ruling will transfer to all other similar cases.

The attorneys representing the bereaved families are looking for “criminal and civil accountability” so that Travis Scott and others in charge of the Astroworld Festival know and feel the permanent damage caused. In the meantime, Scott is working on his next album. He is about to drop UTOPIA on the world, taking out billboard ads and updating his website in time for the launch. Despite the unfortunate events of Astroworld 2021 in Houston, fans are still clamoring for new Travis Scott music.
