Lil Uzi Vert Says They Dress Better Than ASAP Rocky, Updates Album Art, Tracklist

A$AP Rocky is undoubtedly one of the most stylish hip-hop artists out there, but plenty of people are coming fro his throne. One of the rappers closest to that title is Lil Uzi Vert, who recently declared that they dress better than Rocky during an interview at this year’s BET Awards. However, the 27-year-old still gave the New York MC his flowers for influencing their drip and helping them out in that regard. During their conversation with Billboard on the red carpet, Uzi answered some questions on which other artists have inspired them the most throughout their career. Furthermore, their answer gave credit in the realms of both fashion and music to three names in particular.

“Mike Jones really helped me be not repetitive in a bad way…” Lil Uzi Vert started off his remarks. “Kendrick [Lamar] helped me with my flow, [and] ASAP Rocky helped me with my clothes. I’m flyer than ASAP Rocky nowadays. He can’t touch me nowadays… he know I got them pieces in the corner, but shoutout to Flacko, though.” We’ll see if we get a response from the 34-year-old anytime soon.

Lil Uzi Vert Shouts Out (And Steps Over) A$AP Rocky

Regardless of that debate, the Philly star has a huge week to look forward to, as they confirmed that their highly anticipated album Pink Tape (sometimes referred to as The Pink Tape rather than how it appears on streaming) will release this week on Friday (June 30). Not only that, but Lil Uzi Vert’s new project appears to contain 26 tracks. It will be their longest project to date based on the pure size of the tracklist, which obviously suggests a long runtimes well. In addition, Uzi also seemingly changed the album on Apple Music from the original.

Uzi’s Pink Tape Updates

With all this in mind, Pink Tape is becoming the most hyped hip-hop album release so far this year. Of course, there’s heavy competition in Travis Scott’s UTOPIA and Young Thug’s surprise drop BUSINESS IS BUSINESS. Nevertheless, we’re beyond excited to see how all these albums age when we look back at 2023. The same could be said for Rocky and Uzi’s respective styles. On that note, stay logged into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Uzi Vert.

Lil Durk Shows Fans The Tracklist For Almost Healed

Regardless, now that the project is taking shape, Lil Durk fans must be ravenous for it to drop already. In addition to these reveals, the 30-year-old also kept up the pace with some recent high-profile and inflammatory media appearances. “Now I don’t sit up here and play games, man,” he told DJ Akademiks concerning Gunna’s plea deal in the YSL case. “That man told. You should have went in there and kept your mouth closed.”

Meanwhile, his savage feud with NBA YoungBoy also got quite a lot of hype around his next musical moves. In fact, his single with J. Coi Leray Reveals Sophomore Album Tracklist, Features Leave Fans Confused

On her debut album, Trendsetter, Coi Leray shocked fans with the selection of major artists who appeared on her tracklist. Among them were Nicki Minaj (“Blick Blick”), Lil Durk (“No More Parties [Remix]”), and H.E.R. (“Overthinking”). The project’s first-week sales were relatively low, but regardless, many industry icons were just to publicly congratulate the Massachusetts native on a job well done. In the time since then, Leray has been refining her image while teasing us with a handful of singles throughout 2023. After dropping “Players,” “Bops,” and “My Body,” she finally felt ready to announce the release date of her sophomore album, COI, earlier this month.

Along with the topless cover art, the 26-year-old teased yet another title last week, “Make My Day.” It samples “Pump Up The Jam,” which has been earning her some backlash on social media as critics suggest Leray relies too heavily on sampling throwback hits to ensure virality. She was quick to clap back at them on Twitter and has since continued to move forward with her album rollout, sharing the final tracklist for COI on Monday (May 22).

Killer Mike Unveils Tracklist, Album Art For “Michael”

Atlanta rapper Killer Mike has shared a new music video for a track off of his upcoming album, Michael. The artist has also revealed some new information on the album, including the LP’s tracklist and cover art. Michael‘s release date is June 16, 2023 via Loma Vista Recordings. The video, which pays tribute to Killer Mike’s late mother, accompanies the single “Motherless.” “Motherless” also features R&B singer Eryn Allen Kane. The new video is the second part of a two-part short film. Part one of the short film came out yesterday, for the track “Don’t Let The Devil.” The song also features his fellow Run the Jewels musician El-P and thankugoodsir.

Michael is the artist’s first solo album since his 2012 LP R.A.P. Music. He divulged that the album is his “most autobiographical” thus far. The newly-unveiled tracklist contains 14 tracks. Alongside the news of his upcoming album, Killer Mike also announced a U.S. tour in support of the record. The tour will take place this summer, making various stops in cities around the country. The 19-date tour includes shows at Apollo Theater in NYC, Showbox in Seattle, The Filmore in San Francisco, and more. The tour kicks off in Charleston, SC at The Charleston Music Hall on July 11.

Killer Mike’s Michael Revisits His Childhood

Killer Mike revealed in a statement that his mother was diagnosed as bipolar and depressed. He shares how, “when [he tells] the story of [his] mother the tales told include one when [he] walked in on her attempting to take her own life.” “[the song] gets to the heart of how deeply sensitive an artist and human she was,” he says. The moving music video aligns with the heavy subject matter in “Motherless.” Killer Mike clarified that “these aren’t meant to be sad videos or eulogies.” He instead calls the videos “a celebration of a BAD ASS BLACK GIRL from the westside of Atlanta.” The rapper also shares that his mother helped many people to “stay on their path.”

The artist’s upcoming tour comes before Run the Jewels’ 10-year-anniversary tour of their self-titled debut album. Killer Mike recently looked back on the success the pair has had, saying he “knew we were something badass.” He adds that he figured the two of them were “going to be big.”

NBA YoungBoy Reveals “Richest Opp” Tracklist

NBA YoungBoy just dropped the tracklist for his new mixtape, Richest Opp. The release has been surrounded by drama from all sides. YoungBoy just released a studio album a few weeks ago. As such, there was no need to release new music this soon. However, after Lil Durk announced that his new album would be out this Friday, YoungBoy quickly announced he’d be dropping the mixtape the same day. This news follows reports that the two artists are still involved in a feud, despite claims from DJ Akademiks that the beef had been resolved. Both YoungBoy and Durk denied this on their social media accounts. Durk stated that he is not friends with anyone, and YoungBoy called out Akademiks and his industry friends.

Akademiks clarified his previous statement through an Instagram comment. He explained that he meant Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy are no longer actively dissing each other in their music and tweets. The two rappers have been involved in a feud since last year when they released diss tracks targeting each other. Although the situation seemed to have calmed down for a while, the simultaneous release of their new projects may reignite the feud.

NBA YoungBoy Stays Ready

NBA Youngboy posted the tracklist for Richest Opp on his Twitter account. The mixtape is set to have 17 tracks, which is quite a bit considered the 33-song album he just released in April. While Youngboy does tend to release a ridiculous amount of material, there is a good reason for it. He has been on house arrest for years. Despite the ongoing beef with Lil Durk and his online rants, the rapper is currently living a relatively peaceful life in Utah. YoungBoy has been facing legal issues since he was arrested for federal gun charges several years ago. Sadly, because of this, he cannot make public appearances.

While YoungBoy might be on house arrest, he is still achieving huge career milestones. He just became the youngest rapper ever to have 100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His first single, “Untouchable,” reached number 95 in 2017, and since then, he has managed to chart an additional 99 times as either a lead artist or a featured artist. Youngboy joins an elite group of rappers, including Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Jay-Z, who have achieved this feat. He will no doubt chart again with some of the songs from his new mixtape. Are you looking forward to Richest Opp? Sound off in the comments below!

Juelz Santana Teases Tracklist For New Album, “We In Motion”

Juelz Santana has shared the tracklist for his upcoming album, We In Motion, by posting a picture of a whiteboard full of tracks and features on Instagram. Among the artists Santana is set to collaborate with are A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Jim Jones, Lil Durk, Dej Loaf, and Young Thug, among others.

It’s unclear whether the list of songs is the final cut for the project, but he teased that the album is coming soon in the caption. ”We In Motion….. Visual album Soon… #ICFMF #BackOutSide” he wrote. On the production side, the new album will be released in collaboration with DJ Drama as a Gangsta Grillz project.

The post left Santana’s fans excited about the new music. Some fans, however, feel that the list features too many other artists. “Looking like to many features as much as I like Juelz,” they wrote. Another echoed their sentiments: “To many features just wanted to here you almost every dam track got a feature smh.” Others complained that Cam’ron doesn’t seem to be making an appearance on the project. “Where A Cam Or JR Writer Feature At?” one user asked.

Back in January, Santana discussed working with Jadakiss on a song for the project. Speaking on Instagram, he said, “Yo, I’m telling you right now, me and my man Jada got a fucking banger you heard. Yo, Flex all that motherfucking what New York sound like shit, this is what New York sound like. I guarantee you this is what New York sound like. We got what New York sound like.” He added: “This that what New York Sound like that n****s outside of New York gonna fuck with too though. Like, nah, We In Motion, this shit is a good project, man.” Check out the tracklist for Juelz Santana’s We In Motion album below.
