50 Cent Admits Hanging Upside Down At Super Bowl Was A “Mistake”

50 Cent says that his decision to hang upside down during the Super Bowl Halftime Show was a “mistake.” 50 reflected on the performance while discussing his upcoming tour with USA Today on Wednesday. 50 is hitting the road in honor of the 20th anniversary of his iconic album, Get Rich or Die Tryin‘.

“It’s gonna be a whole new show,” 50 Cent shared of his upcoming concerts. “Sometimes out of habit, you go to certain records. People love other things on it, so I wanna make sure I touch those records before I don’t do those anymore.”

50 Cent At The Super Bowl Halftime Show

“I think that was a mistake for the Super Bowl,” he admitted of being upside down. “Everybody else walked in regular, the songs still went over and they got the trophy, too. They all won an Emmy. They got the same thing I got and I had to put myself upside down.” 50 performed alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige.

Elsewhere in the interview, 50 reflected on the impact of Get Rich or Die Tryin’. When the interviewer described him as having revolutionized the music scene, he disagreed. “It’s not really a revolution,” he clarified. “If you’re gonna make music that is going to be world music, it has to have melodies. English is not their first speaking language in a lot of places that I travel. What (those crowds) follow is the melody until they understand what you’re saying.”

50 Cent On His Upcoming Tour

50 further praised Drake, explaining that he’s continuing on the same path. “Drake is the new, stronger version like that because he can do a whole pop record, sing the whole song. I’ve never done that,” he said. “He’ll say that I’m one of those influences… That’s a big compliment because he’s established himself and done great work.”

Nicki Minaj has confirmed that her fifth studio album, which she refers to as “NM5,” will be released at some point this year. She teased the project in a tweet posted on Wednesday while hinting at a tour for the album. She says that the run of shows will be a work of “genius.”

“Oh yes fractions warned, SFG did what fractions warned. Red Ruby Da Sleeze MOTHERED so hard & is now the standard. NM5 is the best thing that will come out of 2023 & will raise the bar to new & unreachable heights. NM5 tour will be hailed as “genius”. That’s it & that’s all.”

The tweet got fans sufficiently excited about the new project. “You have no idea the emotions i feel when nicki mentions nm5,” one fan wrote. “like this hasn’t happened ever. we are so close to greatness i cannot wait.” Others were more impatient. One wrote: “You just speaking and speaking but don’t drop the fckin album like come on just drop it.”

Nicki previously hinted at the release of her new album in a post on Twitter, earlier this week. While sharing several of her most iconic looks from over the years, she wrote, “Imagine being a fashion icon b4 your debut album. Imagine performing w|Ye & Jay in Yankee Stadium, no album out, imagine Drake, Eminem, Rihanna, Ye, WillIAm, & Natasha Bedingfield on your FIRST ALBUM. bwahahaha I have to laugh. Tinashe is ready to hit the road again. Recently, the “Unconditional” singer has not been in the spotlight as frequently. Several weeks ago, she turned 30. In an Instagram post celebrating the big birthday, she displayed her glowing appearance. In honor of her new decade of life, the singer shared topless photos from the beach, captioned with a reference to the film “13 Going On 30.” The post garnered attention from her fans and celebrity friends, who shared messages of love in the comments.

Tinashe is a multi-talented artist, recognized for her skills as a singer, songwriter, and actress. Although she began her career as a child actor, she transitioned to music and has become well-known for her soulful vocals and versatile musical style. Her performances often showcase her trained dance abilities. Her production skills have also been on full display during many of her projects. YG Announces European Dates for ‘Red Cup’ Tour

YG has announced The Red Cup Tour dates in Europe. The tour will begin in Copenhagen on June 27th, 2023, the tour will visit eight European cities, including Stockholm, London, Paris, and more.

After YG’s most recent album, I Got Issues, was released on September 30th, 2023, via Def Jam, The Red Cup Tour was launched. It debuted at #12 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Billboard list, and its lead single, “Toxic,” peaked at #1 on the US radio charts for rhythmic songs. The “Red Cup Tour” kicked up on Jan.20 in the US and made 17 stops before coming to an end on Feb. 23 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Cities visited included Seattle, Los Angeles, Detroit, and more.

On the musical side of things, despite their close touring and personal relationship, Drake and Pi’erre Bourne haven’t collaborated much. Moreover, the first thing that fans might think of is the couple of the rapper-producer’s tracks that Drizzy was going to be on that never came to be. Also, there’s the Pi’erre-produced “Pain 1993” featuring Playboi Carti on the OVO mogul’s Dark Lane Demo Tapes project. However, they still look out for each other, and the Kansas-born artist joined the Canadian superstar on the “Boy Meets World” tour in Australia and New Zealand back in 2017. Not only that, but Drake actually helped him get his passport.

“With Drake, when we was on tour, that was cool,” Pi’erre Bourne remarked during an interview at Coachella this year. “‘Boy Meets World’ tour, that was awesome. We went to Australia and New Zealand. So he actually showed me the world early on, fresh off the couch, my friend’s couch. He got me my passport, like, Drake helped me get my passport again so, yeah.” Some friends don’t just pay for your flight; they can help you take one anywhere, too.

Pi’erre Bourne Recalls Touring With Drake

What’s more is that Pi’erre Bourne is far from the only rapper to have received help from the 6 God. French Montana recently shouted him out for helping him produce his documentary. “Shout out to Drake for helping me do it,” he remarked. “Shout out to Puff. Shout out to Max B for letting them cameras come inside that maximum security prison and helping me document it. Shout out to my mother. She never been on nothing. That was her first one and it just shows that me, her and my father came here not even speaking English and it shows that your temporary moment doesn’t have nothing to do with your long-term.”
