Sexyy Red Reunites With Tay Keith, Brings A Confident Banger For The Ladies On “Get It Sexyy”

It is a common occurrence for people to start hating on someone who sees mounds of success come their way. Sometimes the confusion is valid, especially when the means in which someone accrues popularity is a little questionable. Sexyy Red seems to fit that bill for most doubters, as her rap style and actions are shockingly palatable. However, if there is one thing we have come to learn about Sexyy Red is that she is going to keep on chugging, as “Get It Sexyy” proves that.

This is the Missouri femcee’s first solo offering since she remixed the viral deluxe cut from Hood Hottest Princess, “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Mama).” That new take offered up Chief Keef’s talents. They actually just rekindled their new found chemistry on “DAMN SHORTY” from DIRTY NACHOS.

Sexyy Red Temporarily Returns From Maternity Leave To Instruct Fans To ‘Get It Sexyy’ On Her Booming New Single

Traditionally, after giving birth, women take a few months away from work to bond with their new bundle of joy. But there’s nothing traditional about Sexyy Red.

The St. Louis rap phenomenon just can’t help but make her way to the booth. Throughout her pregnancy, she toured the world, snagging collaborations with Summer Walker, Nardo Wick, and more along the way. Her faux delivery was even the focus of Drake’s “Rich Baby Daddy” video. Now, she is temporarily back from maternity leave to share a booming new single, “Get It Sexyy,” produced by Tay Keith.

“Slim thick, chrome skin / 5’5″, this b*tch a ten / Hair done, bills paid / Catch me slidin’ in a Benz / I ain’t lookin’ for no man / I ain’t recruiting no new friends / Louis bag filled with bands / Go on, Sexyy, do your dance,” raps Sexyy.

Back in February, after announcing the arrival of her second child, she took to Instagram to share her post-pregnancy agenda. Though the list was short, there were pretty big demands, including getting back to partying just in time for summer. “Get It Sexyy” makes good on that personal goal for the rapper, and her fans are surely going to use this to get their outside activities going.

Tay Keith Hints At Dropping A Full Project With Key Glock: “We Got So Much Unreleased In The Vault”

Over the past several years there are two artists who you can count on to bring the highest quality trap bangers. Those names we are referring to are producer Tay Keith and rapper Key Glock. Both Memphis natives just possess that secret sauce when it comes to crafting songs to get incredibly lit too. Both of these guys highly respect each other. It is a big reason why they have countless collaborations together. A few to name are “Ambition For Cash,” “Presidential Rolex,” and “Russian Cream.”

In 2023, Tay Keith and Key Glock put out their respective albums. “Mr. Glock” came through with Glockoma 2 and its deluxe. Additionally, he has Glocktober in the works with a few singles being released already. For Keith, he worked alongside Lil Darius for a 14-song tape, Yung N Turnt. Since they were so busy last year, this could be the time for both of these superstars to come together for an LP of their own.

Tay And Key Need To Bless Us In 2024

This all may be a possibility, according to HipHopDX. A Fan of Tay Keith’s on Twitter shouted him out for his remarkable success. In addition, the supporter was curious to know if Keith and Glock were going to have anything dropping in 2024. Well, this fanatic’s dreams might come true. The 27-year-old producer responded to the tweet, saying, “We got so much unreleased in the vault might drop the project.” The fact they have that much material that has not even seen the light of day is insane. But, if this does come to fruition, this has the potential to be a standout tape. It is safe to say that we think the whole trap community needs this ASAP.

What are your initial thoughts on Tay Keith revealing that he and Key Glock have a full album’s worth of music behind doors? Could this be one of the best projects of 2024 if it does drop? Where do you rank Tay Keith and Key Glock among current rapper/producer duos? What is your favorite song from them? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Sexyy Red And Tay Keith Enlist Nicki Minaj For ‘Pound Town 2,’ An Even Saucier Remix Of Their Viral Hit

Sexyy Red is quickly showing herself to be a promising newcomer. Over the past few months, she’s collaborated with the likes of Summer Walker, NLE Choppa, and Kali. Plus, she’s also gone viral some singles of her own, including “Pound Town.”

While the lyrics “I’m out of town, thuggin’ with my rounds / My coochie pink, my booty-hole brown” might make someone clutch their pearls, the remix of the Tay Keith-produced track takes things to another level.

On the remix, titled “Pound Town 2,” Red and Keith enlist Nicki Minaj, who gives the song even more x-rated flair.

“I’ma flip like a hundred bricks, get back on my licks / I’m a b*tch, I want fish and grits, throwin’ hissy fits / I ain’t talkin’ about chicken when I jerk it with my t*ts / I be twerkin’ on that d*ck, plus, I’m slurpin’ every drip,” she raps.

In a letter to the Barbz sent by Minaj via email, she shared how she and Red linked up for this spicy remix.

“I met with Sexyy Red & found her to be so down to earth and sweet,” Minaj said. “I couldn’t hear myself on this song at first but once I let go & decided to just have fun with a bad b!ch, I ended up LOVING how it came out!”

NLE Choppa Is Optimistic About The Year Ahead On His New Single, ’23’

NLE Choppa is ready for a prosperous year. On his new single, “23,” the Memphis rapper is ready to let go of old ways and move onto better things.

“Old sh*t ain’t going for it / this newer me probably knew me last year, but you don’t know me,” he raps over a searing Tay Keith-produced beat.

The new single precedes his upcoming album, Cottonwood 2, which, according to a press release, is set to drop this spring. Leading up to the release of Cottonwood 2, Choppa will promote the NLE Reading challenge across the country to encourage young students in low-income and at-risk neighborhoods. He will also make pop-up appearances on his vegan food truck, This Can’t Be Vegan Food, and share videos on his YouTube channel.

Choppa began teasing Cottonwood 2 on his Instagram page earlier this week. In a post, he shared that he had cut off his hair and revealed that he was practicing the art of detachment in order to make improvements in his life.

“Death to what no longer serves you,” he said. “Death to Old Cycles, Death to old/bad habits, Death to friendships/relationships, Death to the simplest thing like my hair, Death to everything holding back the NEW.”

NLE Choppa is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Nav, Lil Baby, And Travis Scott Stay Up All Night To Grind On ‘Never Sleep’

Nav returns with the first single from his upcoming album Demons Protected by Angels, tapping collaborators Lil Baby, Mike Dean, Tay Keith, and Travis Scott for “Never Sleep.” Tay Keith provides the beat, with additional production by Grayson and Mike Dean, and the three rappers let loose, calculating their income and detailing their spending through colorful metaphors hailing their wealth. The collaboration marks Nav’s second with Lil Baby after “Don’t Need Friends” from Emergency Tsunami and his fifth with Travis Scott.

Demons Protected by Angels will be the Canadian artist’s fourth studio album, following 2020’s Good Intentions. Since then, however, Nav did release Emergency Tsunami, a joint mixtape produced entirely by Atlanta producer Wheezy featuring appearances from Gunna, Lil Baby, the late Lil Keed, SahBabii, and Young Thug. The working chemistry between Nav and Wheezy started when they worked on a few tracks from Good Intentions together (three songs were placed on the final album).

In addition to featuring many of his frequent collaborators like Gunna, Future, and Travis Scott, Good Intentions also featured appearances from Don Toliver, Lil Uzi Vert, and the late Pop Smoke. It was followed by a deluxe reissue titled Brown Boy 2, adding Lil Duke and Quavo to its list of features.
