Summer Walker Is Cooking Up Some Vocals For Possible Remix Of SZA And Ty Dolla $ign’s “Hit Different”

There is no doubt that Summer Walker, SZA, and Ty Dolla $ign possess some of the best talent within the R&B lane. All three have some top-tier projects and hits under their respective belts. Unfortunately, not all three of them have worked on a song together. In fact, Ty and Summer appear on zero tracks as well. However, that could change in a matter of days, hopefully.

Back in 2020, SZA and Ty came through with their smash single “Hit Different.” It was a fairly unexpected release and it dropped around the time SZA was having issues with TDE. Both brought some great harmony and the beat by The Neptunes was equally fantastic. Now, it seems that Summer Walker could be throwing her talents into the ring soon.

A post shared by the Jasmine BRAND (@thejasminebrand)

The Jasmine Brand reposted a video from Summer Walker on their Instagram page of her laying down some vocals. If you listen you can hear her singing “different” behind the familiar production. There is no word if the Georgia singer is going to be on a remix of the single, or if she will release a Summer Walker version with just her on it. Nonetheless, it sounds heavenly as always, as this could be another hit for the beginning of 2024.

What are your initial thoughts on Summer Walker sharing a video of her teasing a new version of SZA and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Hit Different?” Do you think this could be a better song than the original? Based on the snippet, should Summer release this soon? Out of all three singers, who has the best voice and why? Is “Hit Different” still in your rotation? Summer Walker Is Looking For Personal Space On “DROWN IN MY LOVE”

Atlanta, Georgia R&B specialist Summer Walker blessed us with an EP, CLEAR 2: SOFT LIFE back in the latter stages of May. The project had some great features such as J. Cole on “To Summer, From Cole (Audio Hug) and “New Type” with Childish Gambino. The messages of that project were moving away from heartbreak and anxiety, to focusing on loving herself and feeling happy. In the social media space, this implies that Summer is in her soft-life era.

With 2 being in the title, this was a follow-up to the CLEAR tape, which debuted in 2019. After that, Summer put out another EP. That included different versions of one of her hit songs, “Girls Need Love.” Now, she is back with a brand-new cut.

Two weeks ago, Sexyy Red teased a forthcoming deluxe version of her Hood Hottest Princess album, which initially dropped in June. She posted an Instagram video showing the presumed deluxe album cover soundtracked by her rapping, “F*ck my baby dad.” (The St. Louis-bred rapper is pregnant.)

Luckily, we don’t have to wait much longer to get the full Hood Hottest Princess (Deluxe). In fact, that is a gross understatement. The album drops in less than 12 hours — at midnight, December 1.

Sexyy Red shared the tracklist on Instagram, which includes the aforementioned “Booty Meat (F My Baby Dad),” “Ghetto Princess” featuring Chief Keef, “Perfect Match” featuring 42 Dugg and G Herbo, “I Might” featuring Summer Walker, and “Hood Rats” featuring Sukihana.

Sexyy Red just wrapped her Hood Hottest Princess Tour, which spanned from October 16 to Wednesday night, November 29, at The Fillmore in San Francisco, California.

Most recently, Sexyy Red released the video for “Free My N***a.” At the beginning, Sexyy Red says to her pregnant belly, “Say ‘Free My Daddy,’” and we hear a manufactured baby’s voice say, “Free dada.” After that, Sexyy Red — in red lingerie — leads a protest to the gates of a prison and visits with her lover inside.

Hood Hottest Princess (Deluxe) is out on 12/1 via Open Shift.

A post shared by Summer Walker (@summerssoclean)

Before making it big, from 2016 to 2018, she had a small cleaning business. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a hustle mentality, Walker juggled her singing passion alongside her full-time cleaning service called Summer So Clean. Her enterprise, complete with an Instagram account @summersoclean, offered services for commercial and residential properties, including laundry, closet organization, bathroom scrubbing, and refrigerator cleaning, according to the page’s Instagram bio.

Even though she now sells out shows and is on stage all the time, she still has fond memories of the scents of cleaning products and the solitude of her past career. It’s incredible to think that in less than two years, she transitioned from cleaning to singing, and although she’s found fame and fortune in music, her cleaning days are a memory she holds dear.

Summer Walker wears her heart on her sleeve, sharing her ongoing battle with social anxiety with a level of honesty that sets her apart. Notably, this aspect of her life rarely surfaces in her music, making her transparency all the more special. This authenticity defies the industry’s conventional path to stardom. From tour cancellations to moments of uncertainty about the trajectory of her music career and an intentional avoidance of high-profile interviews, she charts her course.

She even took to Instagram after one of her nerve-racking performances and said she is “too real for this industry” and “y’all can have the music & ima just head out.” Even her live performances bear witness to her unique journey. In 2019, she confronted social anxiety by canceling 20 tour dates, a challenging decision that reflected her commitment to prioritizing her mental well-being.

Jayda Cheaves Trolls Summer Walker For Reconciling With Lil Meech As Exes Appear Infatuated

When Summer Walker announced her breakup with Lil Meech a few months ago, she interestingly name-dropped Jayda Cheaves, the mother of one of Lil Baby’s children. The shady comment left the socialite feeling unimpressed at the time, though she was able to get her revenge when Walker decided to spin the block herself after being cheated on. “Tried my best to be Jayda Wayda but I couldn’t,” the mother of three wrote on her Instagram Story at the time. “It was cute though, I wish him the best. Can’t do that cheatin stuff.”

After a few months apart from her Florida-born beau, it appears Walker had a change of heart. She and Meech spent their Halloweekend together, and neither of them have been shy about showing their rekindled flame off on social media. Some fans are here for the pair putting their differences behind them in favour of a fresh start, but others have been waiting to see in Cheaves would chime in. Thankfully, she dropped by @theshaderoom’s comments to show some support, though we’re willing to bet it was sarcastic in nature.

Are Summer Walker & Lil Meech Back Together? Social Media Sleuths Say Yes

Summer Walker’s fans were rooting for her and Lil Meech’s relationship to go the distance when they first got together earlier this year. Unfortunately, much like in her past dating experiences, the mother of three fell victim to alleged cheating, causing her to walk away from the BMF actor. He’s been busy looking for a replacement lover in time for cuffing season (apparently to little luck) while Walker has been hinting at using her heartbreak to inspire her next few trips to the studio. Elsewhere, the Still Over It singer has been raising eyebrows with her social media posts about figures like Meech and Chrisean Rock.

The R&B starlet is facing backlash for appearing to poke fun at the Baltimore native’s Walmart baby carrier incident. Only a few days into motherhood at the time, Rock failed to use her holder to properly support Junior’s delicate neck while out at the grocery store, subsequently going viral after a stranger posted a video of the troubling moment. At the time, Walker publicly supported Rock, so her diss was confusing for the 23-year-old. However, the Atlanta-born artist didn’t seem too apologetic when Chrisean called her out, instead going on to poke fun at Meech in another post on her profile.

Lil Meech Falls Victim to Summer Walker’s Trolling

As HipHopDX reports, Walker posted a photo of Meech in a black and pink outfit on her Story earlier this week. Simply showing off her ex with no context would be strange, but the black-haired beauty added her signature humorous touch to the situation by adding vocals of her singing “Danger (Been So Long)” by Mystikal in the background. Now that blogs are reporting that the pair might have stepped out for a dinner together, we think the Southern star’s post might’ve been a hint at reconciliation with her ex.
