Summer Walker, in one way or another, is “over it,” and has been for a few years now. It started with her 2019 debut album Over It, then continued with its follow-up, 2021’s Still Over It. Earlier this month, Walker revealed the next part of the Over It saga is coming.

She teased the project last week by revealing the album has a three-word title, following the Still Over It formula with a word before “Over It.”

Today (October 11), she made the big reveal on Instagram: The album is called Finally Over It. There’s no announced release date yet, but we do have a new single, “Heart Of A Woman,” on the way (at a date that has also yet to be revealed).

Walker’s teaser video shows Walker in her bedroom, listening to voicemails on her phone. One message from a mystery man says, “Damn, you gotta do me like that? I was just helping my cousin with groceries. Hit me back when you can talk. I know you’re finally over it, but damn, let’s talk about it, I love you.” Walker eventually is overtaken by emotion as she smashes the drink she’s holding.

The post also shares a phone number: “call me before I change my number 4044766404 & presave Heart of A Woman now!”

Multi-platinum R&B sensation Summer Walker (LVRN/Interscope Records) has officially revealed the title of her highly anticipated third studio album, Finally Over It.

The announcement follows a creative rollout with fans speculating, including a Spotify Canvas teaser and an interactive title generator. The album’s lead single, “Heart of a Woman,” is available for pre-save now.

Walker recently gave fans a glimpse into the emotional depth of her new project with a teaser video posted to Instagram. In the video, Walker is seen in her bedroom, dressed in a night robe, listening to a series of voicemails from a mystery man who pleads with her to talk. “I know you’re finally over it, but damn, let’s talk about it, I love you,” he says, suggesting the unraveling of a complicated relationship. The video climaxes with Walker shattering her drink, a symbolic moment of closure and liberation. Her caption reads, “Finally Over It. Call me before I change my number 404-476-6404 & pre-save ‘Heart of a Woman’ now.”

Finally Over It is poised to follow up on the success of Walker’s critically acclaimed sophomore album, Still Over It, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. With this upcoming release, Walker is expected to continue her reign as one of R&B’s most influential voices, delivering deeply personal stories of love, heartbreak, and healing.

Fans can expect Finally Over It to push the boundaries of the genre, offering more of the raw emotion and authenticity that Walker is known for.

Five years ago to the day, Summer Walker released her debut album, Over It. Today, not only did she celebrate the release of her debut, but she also announced her third album via Spotify. In keeping with the theme established by her first two albums Over It and Still Over It, Walker’s next full-length will also have “Over It” in the title, but for now, she’s keeping the adjective a mystery.

The announcement of Summer’s new album arrives three years after Still Over It was released in November 2021. Since then, she’s reached her goal of having “hella babies” with the birth of her twins, released the 2023 EP Clear 2: Soft Life, and appeared on projects from the likes of Lil Tjay, Usher, and Sexyy Red, while dropping a slew of remixes to her fan-favorite breakout single, “Girls Need Love.”

Walker’s latest iteration of Over It will have some pretty high expectations; the first one broke a long-standing streaming record in 2019, while the second became the first No. 1 album from a female R&B star in five years. While there’s no release date or single information yet, it’s probably a safe bet that the rollout will begin sometime early next year, so it doesn’t get caught in the dead holiday season this year. Stay tuned.

Summer Walker Puts Spotify On Blast For Leaving Out Nicki Minaj & Others At Gold Standard Exhibition

There are a whole host of legendary female rappers that have graced the mic over the genre’s history. Each one has had a unique impact on the game. However, there may never be no one more influential than Nicki Minaj. Many credit her for the trends that exist in the current landscape, and rightfully so. It seems every female star today takes some sort of inspiration from Onika. Sometimes, the Barbz can shove in your face a little too much, but that will never truly take away from her looming presence over the latest crop of talent. These reasons are why fans, including Summer Walker, are confused and upset with Spotify over a recent omission.

According to AllHipHop, the streaming giant put together a special exhibit called The Gold Standard Exhibition in New York City. It features tons of stunning portraits of all of the “ladies setting the bar for hip-hop”. Present faces such as Latto, Flo Milli, Sexyy Red, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, and more were featured. However, Summer Walker was quick to point out the exclusion of Nicki Minaj, Lil’ Kim, and Missy Elliott in the comments.

“I don’t even listen to hella Nicki cause I’m a r&b lover. But where is the Queen.. or Lil Kim at least or Missy Elliott… this mad disrespectful. This why I make my music n go home the industry weird”, Walker said. Fans were equally thrown off, too. “Kim, Nicki, Foxy, Lauryn, Eve, Trina, Missy, Da Brat, Left Eye, MC Lyte, Roxanne Shonte, Queen Latifah, YoYo. I’m sure I’m missing more but the disrespect”, another adds. This is certainly alarming, but it could be only one way to view it. There’s a chance that Spotify made this for the new generation looking to take over and carry the torch of the Nickis, Kims, Hills, and etc. It seems that was the case, but if not, then this is certainly a massive misstep.

What are your thoughts on Summer Walker calling out Spotify for the omission of several female rap greats at The Gold Standard Exhibition? Do you think the streaming platform was highlighting the new stars of hip-hop, or did they just screw up? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Summer Walker Denies Dating Lil Meech After Attending Show With His Mom

Summer Walker had a busy Sunday. On July 14, the singer attended the Atlanta leg of Chris Brown’s 11:11 tour. She posed with Brown for photos before the show, but the meeting of two stars was not the central focus. Instead, fans were fascinated by who Walker was seen with. She went to the show with Latarra Eutsey, the mother of rapper Lil Meech. Summer Walker had romantic ties to Lil Meech in the past, so fans naturally assumed the familial link up meant that they were back on.

One eagle-eyed Instagram user pointed Eutsey out in Summer Walker’s photos. They wrote “Lil Meech’s mom in the background.” The comment evidently rubbed the singer the wrong way, as she quickly typed a response. According to Walker, the night out with Eutsey was not as revelatory as fans think it was. “Just because you think 2+2 is 4, its not,” she wrote back. “Its 5.” Despite Walker’s assertion that there isn’t anything going on, fans continued to speculate in the comment section. Some theorized that the singer was simply friends with Eutsey, while others felt that the singer was hiding the fact that she is back together with Lil Meech.

Summer Walker Has Dated Meech Intermittently Since 2023

Summer Walker and Meech had a fling back in April 2023. The former confirmed that they were seeing each during an appearance on The Shade Room podcast Caresha Please. However, things seemingly fell apart in July. Walker didn’t mention any names, but she did post cryptic messages alluding a breakup on her Instagram. “Tried my best to be jayda wayda but I couldn’t,” she explained. “I couldn’t. It was cute though, I wish him the best.” In a separate post, Summer Walker implied that Lil Meech was unfaithful. “Can’t do that cheatin’ stuff,” she added.

The internet was confused, subsequently, when Walker and Meech went to a pumpkin patch together in October 2023. Things made a bit more sense the following month, when Walker confirmed that she and Meech were back together. They even posted a photo of Walker kissing the rapper on the cheek. Things went up in flames once more, however, in March 2024. The singer told The Shade Room that her and Lil Meech had once again gone their “separate ways.” It appears as though the story is far from over.

Summer Walker & Her New Man Let Their Love Sparkle Like Fourth Of July Fireworks On IG

How do those lyrics in Katy Perry’s smash hit go? “Baby, you’re a firework / Come on, let your colors burst”? Summer Walker and her new man, Coop Cashington, were certainly people in awe, awe, awe” after sharing some pics from their night on the Fourth of July. According to The Shade Room, the Georgia born R&B star uploaded the recap to her Instagram, as well as her Story. The pretty fresh couple took a yacht out on the water, presumably to cuddle up privately and get a stunning view of some fireworks. Summer and Coop were patriotic with their beach-ready outfits as well. The “Playing Games” artist sported a cute matching white bikini set along with a same-colored lacey skirt cover and sun hat.

Cashington opted for a shirtless look but threw on some light blue swim trunks and a navy-blue Atlanta Braves flat bill cap. Both look extremely lovey dovey while sharing loads of smooches in addition to candid and plandid poses. Even though they appear to be enjoying each other’s company under the night sky, fans are still not seeing how this is going to last long. The Neighborhood Talk‘s comment section was absolutely filled to the brim with skeptics, with one person writing, “She date anybody that DM her”.

Another adds, “She like j Lo, both are allergic to being single. Like please have some alone time & heal”. Coop Cashington was also receiving a lot strays. “The type is dusty”. “All her n****s be looking fruity”. “Whooooaa I can hear the lyrics now ‘You wasnt my type but I let you pipe’ cause wtf 🤣🤣🤣🤣”. It is never good to see people hate on love for another. But you have to give it up to them for being consistent. Ever since him and Summer Walker made things official back in April, the former was accused of harassment, revenge porn, and more. Whether they last or not remains to be seen. However, we are happy to see Coop and Summer happy.

Tink & Summer Walker Have Difficulties Resisting Temptations On “Songs About U”

Tink and Summer Walker are having a hard time moving on from a lover on their new single “Songs About U”. This is the latest offering from the Illinois balladeer and singer’s forthcoming project, Winter’s Diary 5. It is the 29-year-old veteran’s halo series in her discography, and it is the one that jumpstarted her career. In fact, her first four releases were all Winter’s Diary titles.

However, this fifth one will be Tink’s first in eight years, so this fan-favorite entry is a big deal. This will supersede Thanks 4 Nothing, her 2023 tape that boasted features such as Ty Dolla $ign and Yung Bleu. Another reason that this project is big news is because of one producer in particular. That would happen to be Hitmaka, who had a tumultuous relationship with Tink for quite a while.

Things got really ugly between them, including an alleged physical altercation in which Tink accused Hitmaka of, and one that the latter denied up and down. However, in one of the more recent updates, it seems they have smoothed things over enough to where they are comfortable working in the studio together. So far, Hitmaka has already produced two of the tracks, including this one. On this track, Tink recruits Summer Walker for a night of drinking that leads to them questioning if they want to get back with someone who was not really good for them. Coincidence? We think not.

What are your thoughts on “Songs About U” by Tink and Summer Walker? Is this the best promotional track from her upcoming tape, why or why not? Does this have you interested in what is to come on Winter’s Diary 5? Who had the stronger performance and why?
