Ski Mask The Slump God Levels Up Like Goku ON “Headrush”

Ski Mask The Slump God is undoubtedly one of the industry’s most entertaining acts going today. The Broward County, Florida native’s goofy, and sometimes unconventional approach, are what define his style. He loves to color outside the lines, make references to anime, and sometimes lay down some of the wildest bars you will ever hear. This weekend, Ski Mask is back to provide some of that insanity in the form of a new single “Headrush.”

It appears to be the second single for his long-awaited sophomore album 11th Dimension. Fans got their first taste of its lead offering “Shibuya” in the latter half of March, which was a solid release as well. According to Genius, Ski Mask has been messing around with the album’s tracklist extensively over the last year and a half or so. “OOGA BOOGA!” was supposedly going to make the cut, but it was nixed and now remains to be a loosie.

On top of what will make the final product, the release date is also up in the air. There was some speculation that Ski Mask would drop the album by his birthday (April 18), but that obviously did not come to fruition. Now, the rumor is that it will be out before the end of June. We can only hope and pray at this point, but for now we are thoroughly enjoying “Headrush.” The title is a perfect way to describe this highly energetic single. Ski Mask channels the powers of Goku (who he likens himself to on the track), as his vocals are pitched up and are laid on top of a trap/rock fusion that sounds killer.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Headrush” by Ski Mask The Slump God? Is this the better promotional track for his upcoming album 11th Dimension, why or why not? Do you like the rock/trap direction that he is going in for this long-awaited project? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Conway The Machine, Method Man, SK Da King, & Flee Lord Bring Straight Lyricism On “Meth Back!”

Conway the Machine assembled the Avengers for his brand-new album Slant Face Killah (SFK). His fourth studio album, and follow-up to WON’T HE DO IT, was rumored to be the side B of the latter. However, the prolific Buffalo-bred rapper decided to come through with a separate entity and it has been one of the stronger releases of the year. One cut that Conway the Machine provided on this LP that we have been spinning again and again is “Meth Back!”

This one of many tracks that boasts some incredible guest talent. Based on the title, you might have been able to guess that Wu-Tang legend Method Man was a feature. That assumption would be correct, but he is not the only G.O.A.T. joining Conway. Underground vets Flee Lord and SK Da King pop up for one the nastiest old school hip-hop tracks of 2024.

Instrumental alone, this track is incredible. Daringer, fellow Buffalo resident and in-house producer for Griselda, lays down a simple but effective beat. The ghostly woodwind loop on top of the dirty drums is a lethal combination. Then, we you add in everyone’s terrific pen game and intimidating cadence, it is a recipe for straight gas. It is hard to pick who had the best outing, but Meth’s might take the cake for us.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song “Meth Back!” by Conway the Machine, Method Man, SK Da King, and Flee Lord? Where does this track rank amongst the rest on Slant Face Killah (SFK)? Who had the stronger performance on this cut? Where do you place this tape in his discography and why? Post Malone Hints At A New Artistic Direction With “I Had Some Help” Featuring Morgan Wallen

There is no denying the star power that Post Malone possesses. No matter what genre he decides to dabble in, the Texas native always draws a crowd to anything he is attached to. Of course, fans of hip-hop and R&B were the first to discover his talents in the latter half of the 2010s decade with his breakout hit “White Iverson.” From there, he continued to evolve, and over the last year, Posty has begun to distance himself from the sound that put him on the map. This year has seen him collaborate with Beyonce for her take on country and bluegrass, COWBOY CARTER.

Now, Post Malone is trying his hand in the same playing field, but this time as the lead act on “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen. According to Genius, this is the lead single for Austin Post’s full-on country album, which does not have a release date or title. According to Billboard, this song was previewed a handful of times over the last month or so. Once on Post’s social media platforms, as well as a live performance alongside the country superstar at Stagecoach, a country music festival in Indio, CA.

These two have been friends for some time now, so even though this is a first-time collab, it makes a lot of sense. On “I Had Some Help,” they are dealing with a breakup, but in this case, the singers are throwing their ladies under the bus. While Post and Morgan are taking accountability for them splitting up with their partners, they feel that each side is to blame. Be sure to check out the relationship cut with the links above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “I Had Some Help” by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen? Do you like Post Malone going in a country direction for his next album, why or why not? Gunna & Roddy Ricch Are Doing Some Self-Healing On “Let It Breathe”

Ever since Gunna addressed the YSL RICO fiasco on his fourth studio album, a Gift & a Curse, it is clear that he has been doing some self-reflection. That has been evident from the College Park, Georgia rapper and singer working on his physical and mental health. The 30-year-old has posted tons of pictures on his social media platforms and his transformation has been nothing short of incredible. This new mindset that Gunna has is the main theme of his fifth LP One of Wun.

On “let it breathe,” for example, Gunna speaks about how he has been distancing himself from others and sit down with himself. Across the moody piano-backed instrumental, he decides that he is going to fortify his mental strength by hitting the gym and choosing who he surrounds himself with. Joining him on this journey to becoming a new man is Compton’s own Roddy Ricch. To be honest, we do not think there was anyone better to accompany Gunna on this track in particular.

His style is almost identical and a track with this kind of message comes a great time for Roddy. It seems that the narrative has shifted for him after his impressive debut album Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial. Many felt he took a dramatic step back on his following effort LIVE LIFE FAST, and even on Feed Tha Streets III. “Lately, I’ve been slow to speak, still stay out they reach, ” Ricch says on the first line of his verse. That could refer to a lot of things, but it could be seen as he is taking time before making a new project. All in all, “let it breathe” is a strong offering from Gunna and his equally wounded partner.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song “let it breathe” by Gunna and Roddy Ricch? Is this the best track from his new album One of Wun, why or why not? Who had the stronger performance on this cut? Where do you rank this project amongst the rest of his catalog and is it better than the original? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Chief Keef, Ballout, & G Herbo Might Have The Hardest Track Of 2024 With “Neph Nem”

Chief Keef might be the most reliable artist when it comes to crafting elite, truck-knocking bangers. Sure, it is hard to count on him to drop when he says, but when he does, there are not many better than him. His eagerly-awaited mixtape Almighty So 2 is chock-full of said slappers and it is safe to say we will have this LP on repeat all week long and beyond. One track we have been revisiting over the last 24 hours and change has been “Neph Nem” with fellow Chicago vets, Ballout and G Herbo.

The second record on the tape is equal parts anthemic, grand, and stank-face inducing. The instrumental may be the most hard-hitting on the project, which is saying a lot considering how many stand out beats there are. Like most of the latter, Chief Keef handles this one by himself and it is excellently put together. From the orchestral background vocals to the bells and rapid fire 808s, it sounds like a lot going on. But no element overpowers the other.

As for the performances, everyone pitches in aggressive flows, and Sosa might provide the most hilarious bars on the record. “She told him she ain’t hop on my d**k (Woo), she fell on it (Woo) / Had to leave by eleven, this b**** act like 12, homie (Woo, woo).” All in all, this project and this track are so enjoyable. It might be up for one of the best trap/drill albums over the last few years.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song “Neph Nem” by Chief Keef? Is this the best track from his new mixtape Almighty So 2, why or why not? Who had the stronger performance on this cut? T.I. Delivers On Promise Of Dropping An NBA YoungBoy Collab With “LLOGCLAY”

When you think about the founding fathers of trap music, especially from the hallowed city of Atlanta, T.I. automatically deserves a spot. The legend has been around for over 20 years and provided the genre with countless classics, especially in the late 2000s. However, as the saying goes, “all good things must come to an end.” T.I. is supposedly going to call it quits musically speaking after he drops a double album.

The rumored title for said project(s) is Kill The King and Kiss The King, but we have inside information as to when it will drop. T.I. announced this news during an October interview with the crew over at the We In Miami podcast. What he also revealed to the world was that an NBA YoungBoy collaboration was in the works and that it was going to a surprising listen for fans. That track that T.I. is referring to now has a title and it is called “LLOGCLAY.”

This first-time collaboration between two of the South’s most prolific names sees them rap passionately over a piano and finger-snapping instrumental. T.I. lowkey was not lying when he said this was going to be something fresh. YB puts forth one of his best recordings and his cadence is smoky and deeper than usual. It is a beautiful track and T.I. dedicated this track to an assumed close friend of his. “This 1 is for my day 1 patna Clay Evans, rest in power King!!”

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “LLOGCLAY” by T.I. and NBA YoungBoy? Is this one of his stronger releases as of late, why or why not? Coi Leray Previews Mike WiLL Made-It-Produced EP With Title Track “Lemon Cars”

About 24 hours ago, Massachusetts rapper and singer Coi Leray was going a little viral after The Neighborhood Talk shared a video of her showing off her stripper moves. It turns out that it was a music video shoot for a new single. The track is called “Lemon Drop,” and it is the title track for a new collaborative EP between Coi Leray and a famous producer. She has worked with some of the very best, and in this case it is Mike WiLL Made-It.

According to Rap-Up, the project will be executive produced by the Marietta, Georgia native. Additionally, the new offering, which will follow-up another Coi Leray, Blue Moon, will drop on May 24. There is a strong possibility that the singles “Wanna Come Thru” and “Can’t Come Back,” will make the cut too. “Lemon Cars,” sees Leray lay down some auto-tuned singing over a dreamy instrumental about being a party girl.

Future & Tee Grizzley Display Great Chemistry On “Swear To God”

Even though this weekend has been loaded up with tons of releases from some of the upper echelon talents, many fans were distraught and frustrated. A series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) a couple of days ago from Future set the platform ablaze, as he seemingly was hinting at a new mixtape dropping on May 10. “F*** yo album S*** ain’t slappin like my MIXTAPE.” “MAY TENTH🤧.” “MIXTAPE PLUTO.” These were all of the messages that had fans pumped for a possible third project from the Georgia legend in a span of two months.

Another reason why fans have been upset this afternoon was because there was speculation of Future and Gunna competing with one another. They have been subliminally dissing each other, especially because Gunna is a free man and Young Thug is still going to court hearings. However, the opposite has been true. All Future was doing was teasing lyrics from a collaboration cut with Tee Grizzley. The track, “Swear to God,” features both trap MCs over a nasty Wheezy beat and the Future tweets pop in right at the beginning on the chorus.

Pluto claims this track as his by providing a verse as well, even though he is credited as a feature. But both artists do complement each other well and it makes sense. These two veterans share similar styles and they have worked together in the past once before. That happened on a YNW Melly album cut “Freddy Krueger” back in 2021. Be sure to check out the trending single with the link above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Swear to God” by Tee Grizzley and Future? Individually is this one of their stronger releases as of late, why or why not? Do you think Tee is gearing up for a new project soon? Were you fooled when Future tweeted about a new mixtape? Who had the stronger performance? Key Glock Says “The G Stands For Greatest” On Latest Single

After the tragic loss of Young Dolph, it seems that the proverbial baton has been passed to Key Glock. The 26-year-old Memphis MC soaked up so much knowledge from the “old man” and now he has become one of, if not the best, from the city. That statement can be backed up from the slew of singles and remixes “Mr. Glock” has put out. One track that we can add to the stacked list of releases is his latest offering, “The Greatest.”

This single follows up on renditions of the Glockoma 2 (Deluxe) banger “Let’s Go,” which has quickly become a fan favorite. Over the last several weeks, Glock brought an EDM remix with Alok, and a fire posthumous verse from his mentor. “The Greatest” sees the aggressive spitter flex his muscles and boast about his skills. He sets the tone right from the jump, saying, “Yuh, they call me Glock and the G stand for “Greatest” (Yuh).”

Over the thumping BandPlay beat, Glock brings a slippery flow that feels reminiscent of something Offset would lay down. But it does not feel like a blatant rip off by any means. “The Greatest” could be a single for the long awaited Glocktober tape, which was teased late last year. We had belief that Key was going to drop the tape in October based on the title, the color scheme for the single cover arts, and that he was dropping the singles during that month. However, we are still waiting, and hopefully it drops sooner than later.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “The Greatest” by Key Glock? Is this one of his stronger releases as of late, why or why not? Do you think he is gearing up for Glocktober still, or something new? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section.
