Screen Shot 2024 02 17 at 12.07.47 PM

The music industry mourns the loss of Bing Worthington, younger brother of legendary rapper Snoop Dogg, who passed away at the age of 44. Snoop Dogg confirmed the heartbreaking news on Instagram, sharing memories of his beloved brother and expressing his grief with a series of posts.

Throughout his life, Bing played various crucial roles behind the scenes in Snoop Dogg’s career, serving as a tour manager and co-founding the record label Dogg Records. Beyond his contributions to Snoop’s success, Bing pursued his own musical endeavors, co-founding the hip-hop group Lifestyle and releasing the album “Liquid Cocaine” with them in 2003.

One of Bing’s proudest achievements was co-writing the song “Be Thankful” for Snoop Dogg’s rap group Tha Eastsidaz. Snoop Dogg fondly remembered his brother as someone who “always made us laugh,” sharing cherished moments they had together.

Fans of Snoop Dogg joined in paying tribute to Bing, offering condolences and sharing fond memories of encounters with the music executive. Described as a “fine man,” a “bright soul,” and “one of the most honest people,” Bing’s impact on those around him resonated deeply.

Despite the loss, the cause of Bing’s death remains pending, awaiting the results of a toxicology and autopsy report. Bing’s journey in the music industry was marked by versatility and passion, transitioning from a roadie to a savvy businessman.

In a 2016 interview with Vice, Bing reflected on his career evolution, expressing gratitude for the opportunities he had in the music business. He highlighted his transition from focusing on music creation to embracing the business side of the industry, a shift that he found fulfilling and “blessed.”

The passing of Bing Worthington comes during a challenging time for Snoop Dogg and his family, following his daughter Cori’s announcement last month of her hospitalization after suffering a severe stroke. As they navigate through this difficult period, the music community remembers Bing’s contributions and celebrates his legacy as a beloved brother, music executive, and cherished individual.

Snoop Dogg recently lost his younger brother, Bing Worthington, who sadly died at the age of 44. The rapper broke the news with a sweet series of Instagram posts in his brother’s honor. Each one focused on a different memory, whether they were together or it was a video showing Bing’s personality. Snoop Dogg tagged his Instagram, captioning it with “always made us laugh… u bac with moms” and a prayer emoji.

Another photo in Snoop’s tribute was a photo of Bing and their late mother, as he was holding a birthday cake for her and smiling big. In Snoop’s continued words, his two family members are reunited now.

Throughout Snoop Dogg’s career, Bing had continued to help out and play a role in his brother’s life. He previously served as Snoop’s tour manager.

“I started from the bottom, I ain’t just become the tour manager, I was just the road guy,” Bing shared with Vice during an interview years ago. “I worked my way to the top. Even though I’m [Snoop’s] brother he didn’t give me a top-ranked position. You can’t just become a president without knowing anything about being the president. You have to learn.”

Snoop Dogg Is Willing To Go To Any Length For His 2024 Olympic Coverage, Including ‘Get Underwater’

2024 Summer Olympics special correspondent Snoop Dogg is willing to go to any lengths to raise the bar of his coverage in Paris. According to Entertainment Weekly, that even included a promise to reporters at the winter Television Critics Association press tour to “get underwater” to make sure he’s fully prepared and doesn’t miss a story.

“It’s gonna be me in the field, at events, hosting, getting with the athletes, moving through the city,” he said. “Just doing the things Snoop Dogg does.”

As he put it, “We’re planning on shaking it up and doing something different, and just having fun. It’s the Olympics. We only get it once every four years, so we’re going to make the most of it.” However, he made sure to offer some reassurance to sports fans worried he might not do his due dilligence: “I don’t ever come in cold,” he declared. “I always come in hot. So with that being said, don’t worry about the research. I know everything about everyone. We’re gonna be fine.”

Snoop’s laid-back sports commentary has become something of a running gag over the years, as fans look forward to his unique takes on everything from hockey to boxing and everything in between, as illustrated by Peacock’s 2021 broadcast featuring Snoop and Kevin Hart being wowed by a variety of sports they didn’t quite get. Dr. Dre And Snoop Dogg Launched A New Canned Beverage Fittingly Based On ‘Gin And Juice’

Late last year, Snoop Dogg launched a line of hemp-infused beverages taking advantage of his reputation as a world-class cannabis ambassador and the coincidental timing of his “giving up smoke” ad to give the world Death Row Records’ Doggy Spritz and other associated drinks.

Now, he teamed up with Dr. Dre to deliver another commercial take on the West Coast duo’s long and storied careers: a canned ready-to-drink cocktail inspired by their 1994 hit “Gin And Juice.” The alcoholic beverage will be available in four flavors — Apricot, Citrus, Melon, and Passionfruit — and begin rolling out in the US from now through early spring. The dynamic duo announced the new product with a Quentin Tarantino-inspired short film on social media in which they apparently play the roles of Jules and Vincent-esque hitmen burying a recent victim in the woods while wearing suits and enjoying their new drinks (and Snoop’s favorite vegetable).

In a press release about the new product, Snoop said, “Look at our age and look at what we’ve done, and we still love each other, so why not do something together? A lot of times people have been in a relationship for thirty years and can’t talk to each other, can’t hang out, so it’s just fun to be in a partnership with people that you actually love.” Dre echoed the sentiment, saying, “Together, we always try to create magic, we’re having fun being creative, and everything about this product is really us. There’s passion behind it, and friendship and love and a culture. We’re shooting to make everything we do magnificent, and fortunately, most of the time we hit the target.”

They’ll have another opportunity to do so with their long-awaited follow-up to Doggystyle, called Missionary, which they’re apparently close to releasing.

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg Launch Ready To Drink Gin & Juice

Musical and cultural icons Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg kicked off the rollout of Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop, the first ready to drink product from their new premium spirits company, with a surprise performance at the Super Bowl afterparty last night in Las Vegas.

Three decades after “Gin & Juice” left an indelible mark on popular culture and helped establish Dre and Snoop as groundbreaking hip-hop superstars, the pair are now known as much for their wide-ranging entrepreneurial ventures as for their game-changing music. With their premium beverage Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop, they’re taking over some new territory — the spirits industry.

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Snoop’s classic debut album, Doggystyle, produced by Dr. Dre, the canned beverage is named, of course, for Snoop’s beloved, Grammy-nominated 1994 classic song “Gin & Juice,” and comes in four flavors: Citrus, Melon, Passionfruit, and Apricot. The canned cocktails are premium gin-based cocktails, crafted for an innovative experience with packaging designed by Ini Archibong. Product will be rolling out domestically throughout the US now through early spring. More offerings from the brand will be announced in the future.

“Together, we always try to create magic, we’re having fun being creative, and everything about this product is really us,” says Dr. Dre. “There’s passion behind it, and friendship and love and a culture. We’re shooting to make everything we do magnificent, and fortunately, most of the time we hit the target.” “Look where we’re at in our careers,” says Snoop Dogg. “Look at our age and look at what we’ve done, and we still love each other, so why not do something together? A lot of times people have been in a relationship for thirty years and can’t talk to each other, can’t hang out, so it’s just fun to be in a partnership with people that you actually love.”

Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop will be distributed nationally through Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, the largest beverage distributor in the U.S. The spirit company will be led by Patrick Halbert, Andrew Gill and Rocco Milano, the founders from On The Rocks Cocktails. In addition to Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, investors include Jimmy Iovine, Main Street Advisors, Marc Rowan and Tom Werner.

Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre Launch New Drink “Gin & Juice”: See Promo Videos

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre still have to release their collab album Missionary, but that’s not slowing them down in other areas. Moreover, they just released some promotional material for their brand new alcoholic drink, “Gin & Juice,” although we don’t know much about the product, release timeline, distribution, and other areas. One of the clips shows off the can itself, and it looks like it will be available in melon, apricot, citrus, and passionfruit flavors. The other commercial shows the two West Coast legends recreating the iconic opening scene from Martin Scorsese’s 1990 mob classic, Goodfellas. Hopefully the drink gets a pretty wide release, because so many folks out there want a taste of what Tha Doggfather was rapping about on his 1993 debut, Doggystyle.

Furthermore, it’s no surprise that these hip-hop titans would eventually want to release a drink together, especially after everything they already did in the pop culture sphere. It also represents Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s massive reach in the entertainment and business worlds. For example, one of the most notable parts of U2’s opening Las Vegas residency show at the Sphere was that the former Death Row duo showed up to party; no shade to Bono and the gang, though. It was just great to see them in an environment of success and notoriety for rap artists that they helped create.

Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg’s “Gin & Juice” Promos: Watch

Of course, they are both quite busy individually as well, both in their personal lives and in their careers. For example, Snoop Dogg recently made big headlines, along with Master P, for their legal action against Walmart. Apparently, the company attempted to sabotage the Snoop Cereal brand, and they’re currently in the opening stages of a legal battle to settle the matter. It’s definitely not what we expected from 2024, but in this day and age, nothing’s easy to predict.

Meanwhile, the star producer was honored, along with the rest of N.W.A., by the Grammys recently with a Lifetime Achievement Award. He wasn’t there for the ceremony, but did pull up to the actual televised awards handout that weekend. We’ll see where the road takes them next, and how much longer we’ll have to wait for Missionary. For more news and the latest updates on Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, stay up to date on HNHH.

Snoop Dogg & Master P Accuse Walmart of Sabotage

Screen Shot 2024 02 08 at 10.50.26 AM

Renowned rappers Snoop Dogg and Master P are tied in a legal battle against Post Foods and Walmart over alleged sabotage of their cereal brand, Broadus Foods. The lawsuit, spearheaded by attorney Ben Crump, aims to address what the duo perceives as “deceptive practices” orchestrated by Post Foods and obstruction from Walmart in distributing their cereal products.

The legal dispute stems from the launch of Snoop Dogg and Master P’s cereal brand, featuring iconic names like Snoop Cereal and Momma Snoop, which hit store shelves last summer. With tantalizing flavors such as Cinnamon Toasteez, Fruity Hoopz with Marshmallows, and Frosted Drizzlers, the cereal line aimed to disrupt the industry and carve a niche for itself.

However, their entrepreneurial journey faced obstacles even before the legal showdown with Post Foods and Walmart. In a setback the previous year, the duo encountered a trademark infringement claim from Kellogg, the parent company of the renowned Froot Loops cereal, over their intended brand name “Snoop Loopz.” Despite their efforts, they were compelled to discontinue the product, highlighting the challenges faced by emerging brands in navigating the complexities of trademark disputes.

Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, expressed frustration over the hurdles encountered in an Instagram post last year. Asserting their right to use the name “Snoop Loopz” on their cereal boxes, he emphasized the broader mission of promoting diversity, economic empowerment, and generational wealth in the entrepreneurial landscape.

The legal battle against Post Foods and Walmart represents a pivotal moment for Snoop Dogg and Master P as they seek justice for what they perceive as unjust business practices hindering their brand’s growth. With Attorney Ben Crump at the helm, the lawsuit aims to hold Post Foods accountable for alleged deceptive trade practices and Walmart for purportedly obstructing the distribution of their cereal products, thereby seeking damages for the harm caused to their business interests.

Snoop Dogg and Master P’s determination to fight for their brand serves as a testament to their commitment to fostering change and creating opportunities for future generations of entrepreneurs.

Snoop Dogg & Suge Knight Clash Over Affair Claims About Russell Simmons

Suge Knight, as usual, made some wild claims on his podcast Collect Call, and for its Monday episode (February 5), they had to do with an alleged romantic entanglement between Def Jam label boss Russell Simmons and his counterpart at Uptown Records, the late Andre Harrell. “Everybody know,” he remarked during the episode. “They might not wanna say it, [but] they know they was lovers. They participated in those types of things. Now, once again, a person has the right to be whatever they wanna be. But own it! These men in the industry don’t consider theyself gay. They consider themselves messing with women, but they really don’t like the women because they beat the s**t out of them.

“And they just believe that they’re having fun with each other,” Suge Knight continued. “So when you take Andre Harrell and Russell Simmons, Uptown, Def Jam -– freaky s**t.” Of course, many folks reacted wildly to this speculation, whereas others took more issue with it and believe he’s going through something. Someone in the latter camp was Suge’s former Death Row partner Snoop Dogg, given that the two have clashed a lot in the past. “Smh I’m praying for that brother that he finds peace,” the West Coast rapper commented under coverage of these claims.

Suge Knight Responds To Snoop Dogg

Clearly, Suge Knight did not take well at all to Snoop Dogg’s comments, as he responded angrily on Twitter on Wednesday (February 7). “Show the agreement or proof of payment and I’ll shut up!!! Bet you can’t!!! #Deathrow #snoopdogg,” he let out at first. “If you only could act like this when the camera rolling Snoop Dogg!!! #snoopdogg #underdogg #fakecrip,” the incarcerated record executive captioned what seems like a comedy skit on the social media platform. “You pray for me Snoop Dogg!!! Okay I’ll pray your wife stop going to Hawaii with other men!!!! #snoopdog #bosslady,” he wrote as one final diss against Tha Doggfather.

More Suge Tweets

Meanwhile, we can’t imagine that this exchange will provoke any sort of reconciliation between them. Both of them owned Death Row Records at different eras in their career, and what love they had for each other seems to have gone away for the most part. Hopefully someone else can clarify these stories for us, and Suge in particular can understand why Snoop is concerned for them. On that note, stick around on HNHH for more news and updates on Snoop Dogg and Suge Knight.

Snoop Dogg And Master P Are Reportedly Suing Walmart And Post For Allegedly Sabotaging Their Cereal Sales

Rap icons Master P and Snoop Dogg are filing a lawsuit against Walmart. The two revealed the news in a press conference today, and alleged that Walmart purposely hid their cereal they launched last year with their brand, Broadus Foods.

According to the reported suit, which was filed by attorney Ben Crump, Walmart and major food brand Post partnered with Broadus Foods to distribute the cereal in the super retailer, however, intentionally stocked their cereals in shelves and areas that weren’t immediately visible to customers.

“Broadus Foods is seeking damages suffered by the deceptive trade practices under various causes of action,” reads a press release on Crump’s website.

According to a report from TMZ, Walmart showed the cereal, called Snoop Cereal, to be sold out at various Walmart locations, however, employees reportedly discovered cases of Snoop cereal in the back room of a Walmart store, allegedly uncoded for sales.

At the time of writing, it appears Walmart has not been served with a complaint yet.

“Walmart values our relationships with our suppliers, and we have a strong history of supporting entrepreneurs,” said a Walmart representative to TMZ. “Many factors affect the sales of any given product, including consumer demand, seasonality, and price to name a few. We will respond as appropriate with the Court once we are served with the complaint.”

Additionally, Post also issued a statement to TMZ, claiming that consumer demand did not match what Post and Walmart had initially imagined.

“Post Consumer Brands was excited to partner with Broadus Foods and we made substantial investments in the business. We were equally disappointed that consumer demand did not meet expectations.”

Snoop and Master P were reportedly expecting their cereal to be stacked with other leading brands, however now feel that Post and Walmart only agreed to the partnership to shut them out of the market.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

Benny The Butcher & Snoop Dogg Mix East & West Coast Sounds On “Back Again”

Benny The Butcher is someone you can almost always count on to put out a fantastic listen front to back. The edgy Buffalo wordsmith has been in the game for a hot minute but has more or less blown up fairly recently. Part of that reason could be because he inked a deal with Def Jam not too long ago. But, let us be real with ourselves for a second. His lyricism, the ability to craft interesting and intricate flows, as well as his ear for good production, have brought him to this moment right here.

That moment we are talking about is his brand-new album, Everybody Can’t Go. The trim 12-track project features production heavily from legends Hit-Boy and The Alchemist. You will also find Lil Wayne, his Griselda mates Conway the Machine and Westside Gunn, and plenty more. One track that has been a go-to for us and others is “Back Again” with Snoop Dogg.

Listen To “Back Again” By Benny The Butcher & Snoop Dogg

Surprisingly, this is not their first collaboration. Back in November 2021, they, along with Jadakiss and Busta Rhymes, came together for a haunting single “Murder Music.” “Back Again” is an effortless synergy of West meets East. Benny brings some of his best writing in a song that talks about focusing on staying on course toward your goals. Snoop kills the chorus and the beat from Hit-Boy adds elements of East Coast boom-bap and sirens that are so prevalent in G-Funk and gangsta rap from the West. You can check out the killer visuals and music in the music video above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Back Again,” by Benny The Butcher and Snoop Dogg? Is this the best track from Everybody Can’t Go, why or why not? Is this the greatest album he has ever put out? Does this have the potential to be the album of the year, why or why not? What tracks are you gravitating toward so far? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Quotable Lyrics:

Ain’t nothin’ like that first M, feel like I’m going on my second life

‘Cause the further you go, the road to riches gon’ get narrow
This like y’all n****s third notice, I won’t say it four times
