Tha Dogg Pound Reunite For Celebratory “W.A.W.G. (We All We Got)” With Assistance From Snoop Dogg

Tha Dogg Pound is back once again after a decently long hiatus with their ninth studio album W.A.W.G. (We All We Got). This is the West Coast duo’s follow-up to their 2021 outing Dpg 4 Life. Over the last several weeks, Kurupt and Daz Dillinger, as well their close affiliate, Snoop Dogg, have been teasing the tape with singles and music videos. “Smoke Up”, “We All We Got”, and “Favorite Color Blue”, were the lead-off tracks.

This is a major release for several reasons, with perhaps the biggest reason being that cousins, Snoop and Daz, were at odds with each other. Dogg was the one who was having issues it seemed, as he stated he was unsure if he wanted to work alongside him. But after the recent tragic loss of Bing Worthington. Snoop’s brother, the two rekindled their relationship and it is mainly why this record exists.

Snoop Dogg Loved Luka Doncic Trash Talking A Heckler Behind Snoop’s Seats In Minnesota

luka-snoop-top
TNT

Luka Doncic is one of the NBA’s best players when it comes to ripping an opposing team’s heart out on a big stage. There have been some pretty prominent examples in the past of Doncic finding a level that no one else in the league can reach when the Dallas Mavericks really need it — just ask the Phoenix Suns, as Doncic famously once walked into their building and ended their season in a Game 7 with an absolutely stunning performance.

While it’s not happening in a Game 7, Doncic painted his latest masterpiece on Thursday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The game took place in Target Center, and a win would mean that Dallas would move on to the NBA Finals. As such, Doncic had 25 at halftime, the Mavs went into the locker room with a 29 point lead, and everyone in the building was just totally deflated. In fact, Doncic got to use the second half of the game getting into it with fans, namely this one guy who appeared to call him a crybaby.

Well, Doncic finished a layup through traffic and drew a foul, and right after, he turned to the guy and had something to say. Sitting in front of the heckler was none other than Snoop Dogg, who thought Luka tearing into some dude was absolutely hilarious.

Doncic wasn’t going at Snoop here, but boy, it would’ve been something if he did.

Pam Grier Praises Snoop Dogg’s Kissing Skills: “He Could Smooch”

It appears that Pam Grier has pleasant memories of her co-star Snoop Dogg from Bones. When the renowned actress appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, she went down memory lane and said that the legendary West Coast rapper and actor was an excellent kisser. Hudson played Grier a video of Snoop talking about how they met on the set of Bones in 2000. “Oh my God, and he can smooch!” Grier said of Snoop Dogg. “Let me tell ya, let me tell ya.”

Grier was astonished by Snoop’s kissing prowess, but their first meeting stood out for entirely other reasons. Snoop Dogg revealed during his January visit to Hudson’s program that he fainted the first time he saw Pam Grier. Pam Grier is a legend, and Snoop is obviously a fan of the renowned actress. “Pam Grier walked up and just sat right next to me and started talking. My heart beat fast,” Snoop Dogg recalled. “So I’m like, ‘Okay, I hear what you’re saying. Pam, give me a minute.”

Pam Grier Has Nothing But Love For Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg attempted, but failed, to gather himself after fainting after meeting Grier by going to the men’s room. “I go to the bathroom and faint,” he added. “I fainted, I’m laying on the ground. My security comes in there like, ‘Get off this nasty floor. Man, what are you doing?’ I looked up, and I said, ‘I just met Pam Grier.’” Watch What Happens Live last month included Pam Grier’s response to Snoop Dogg’s fainting. “I was so upset that they cleaned him up and brought him back out and we sat together. I didn’t know I had that effect on him. He’s such a lovely person, I just couldn’t imagine him lying in urine,” she told Andy Cohen.

Bones honored the beginning of Grier’s illustrious career in blaxploitation genre movies. The narrative centers on Jimmy Bones (Snoop Dogg), who comes back to life to get revenge on his assassins. It also explores the fallout from his death as seen through the eyes of Pearl (Grier), his fiancée, two decades later. Pam Grier told Hudson, “He’s a genius,” Grier told Hudson of Snoop Dogg. “You’re a genius when you employ hundreds of people in your career.” Overall, Jennifer Hudson has nothing but good things to say about Snoop Dogg.

Bow Wow Teases New Collaboration With Chris Brown This Summer

Bow Wow had hits in the 2000s. The rapper made the leap from teen star to grown man with hits like “Shortie Like Mine” and “Like You.” The thing is, he stepped away from the music scene in 2009. His last studio album was New Jack City II, and since then, he’s focused on reality TV and hosting gigs. It’s been a successful avenue for him, but it looks like he might be working on some new music. The rapper got on X (formerly Twitter) on May 29 to tease something major with Chris Brown

We’re not going to beat around the bush since Bow Wow didn’t. He didn’t bother with any subtle hints or photos, he just tweeted: “Bow Wow x Chris Brown… June 2024.” There’s always a chance that the collab could be non-musical, but given what these two artists have gotten up to in the past, a song seems like the most obvious outcome. Bow Wow and Breezy worked together on the aforementioned “Shortie Like Mine” in 2006. The song, which also featured Johntá Austin, peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the US Hot Rap Songs chart. It was certified Platinum in the United States, and remains one of Bow Wow’s signature hits.

Bow Wow Has Been Teasing His Final Album Since 2021

Bow Wow and Chris Brown have two other songs together. “Outta My System” also dropped in 2006, while “Ain’t Thinkin’ Bout You” was released three years later. Their upcoming collaboration will likely be for Bow Wow’s album Before 30, which was first announced in 2021. The rapper told Hot 97 that he will drop one more body of work before calling it a day on music. “I’ma do one more album,” he told the host. “It’s gonna be the last one and it’s gonna be called Before 30. I’ma have Snoop [Dogg] narrate the whole thing. So it’s gonna be kind of a different project, 10 songs.”

Bow Wow gave fans an update on the album in 2022. He confirmed Before 30 was coming, and claimed that it would be released through Death Row Records, which is now owned by Snoop. “Spoke to Snoop last week,” he tweeted. “Very soon. My plan is to put my final album on Death Row and close my music career out where it began. I’m tryna do the D Wade and come home and close it out.” Things went quiet once again in 2023, but this latest teaser suggests that the rapper is finally ready to begin the Before 30 rollout. Let’s see what Breezy and him have in store.

Snoop Dogg Refuses To Pick Sides In Drake Vs. Kendrick Lamar Beef, Chooses To Praise Both Instead

Snoop Dogg was sort of thrusted into the middle of the vicious battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. His voice was manipulated for the latter’s “Taylor Made Freestyle,” the second diss response and quick follow-up to “Push Ups.” The West Coast legend gave a signature reaction to the track on social media: “They did what? When? How? Are you sure? Y’all have a good night.” However, Snoop Dogg has never clearly stated what team he decided to rep. As of recent, we now have an answer, and it might bother the people who need to take sides in everything.

According to HipHopDX, the Doggystyle creator was asked by Entertainment Tonight what this beef meant to him, especially after witnessing some of the most legendary bloodbaths. However, Snoop Dogg shared a fairly rare and positive take about it all. “Well, the only thing I want to say about that whole scenario is that I want to give both of them a shout out for raising the bar as far as lyrics, as far as song-making and writing because the writing has been upped since the confrontation.”

Additionally, Snoop explained why he is taking this humanitarian approach. “Those are my nephews. “I’m not in the middle of it. I support both of them and that’s personal business, not my business.” While he is choosing to stay out of it, he did want to recognize their efforts of focusing on bring back the emphasis on bars. “As far as what they did for the industry and the rap game, they made you rap again. You can’t mumble your way and gimmick your way to a song no more, buddy. So, thank y’all.”

What are your thoughts on Snoop Dogg not taking sides in the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef? Do you agree with him that their feud brought back a focus on writing? Are you taking sides? Tha Dogg Pound Drop Star-Studded Tracklist For Their New Album

Tha Dogg Pound are back and better than ever. The West Coast powerhouse has been promoting the hell out of their upcoming album on podcasts. Kurupt and Daz Dillinger have mended fences after years of dissent, and everything we’ve heard so far suggests that they put their best foot forward when it came to making W.A.W.G. (We All We Got). Even the title advertises the newfound sense of unity the group feels. Now that Dogg Pound has dropped the tracklist, though, we can confidently say they have a lot.

Snoop Dogg is technically not a member of Dogg Pound. The group always comprised of Kurupt and Daz, with Snoop being part of the larger D.P.G.C. (Dogg Pound Gangsta Clicc). That being said, he’s a major part of this album. Tha Doggfather is featured on eight of the album’s fourteen tracks, which is more than enough to qualify him as the honorary “third” member. It doesn’t hurt that Snoop is now the owner of Death Row Records, which W.A.W.G. is being released through.

Tha Dogg Pound Are Bringing Back Death Row Vets

Fans of the Death Row heyday will be thrilled to know that other OGs are in the mix. Lady of Rage and RBX will contribute verses to the last song, which is fitting given their essential contributions to the Dr. Dre album that started it all, The Chronic. There will also be multiple features from Butch Cassidy, who wasn’t present for Death Row but has worked with all of its affiliates over the years. Cassidy is a Long Beach native, just like Snoop and Daz. The more intriguing collaborators come from the production.

Mike & Keys handled the lion’s share of the album’s songs, which makes sense given their LA sound. It’s cool to see a producer as capable as Daz, who produced most of the first two Dogg Pound albums, hand over the reigns to younger artists to see what they can provide. It will ensure that W.E.W.G. doesn’t sound like a retread. Hyphy legend Rick Rock will work his magic on two songs, one of which features Will.i.am. The most exciting producer choice, though, is Dogg Pound linking up with DJ Premier for the outro, titled “Who Da Hardest.” That one is going to hit hard.

W.A.W.G. Tracklist:

  1. Intro (featuring Snoop Dogg)
  2. Smoke Up (featuring Snoop Dogg)
  3. We All We Got (featuring Tha Eastsidaz & Snoop Dogg)
  4. Imma Dog
  5. Need Some Space (featuring Blxst)
  6. Favorite Color Blue
  7. Inside of Her (featuring Butch Cassidy)
  8. House Party (featuring Snoop Dogg)
  9. After Hours (featuring DaBaby, Snoop Dogg & Butch Cassidy)
  10. LA Kind of Love (featuring Will.i.am)
  11. Grown Up (featuring Snoop Dogg)
  12. The Weekend (featuring Jane Hancock & October London)
  13. Always on My Mind (featuring Snoop Dogg & Butch Cassidy)
  14. Who Da Hardest (featuring Lady of Rage, RBX & Snoop Dogg)

Snoop Dogg Auction Includes Loads Of Personal Memorabilia Including A Used Blunt

You are not going to find to many artists who have had a more successful and expansive career than Snoop Dogg. From movies and music to fashion and alcohol, the California legend has been able to create so many avenues for himself. He is easily one of the more influential names the genre has ever seen and there will truly never be another mogul like him. Because of how many different corners of the business world that he has explored, Snoop Dogg has been able to launch a personal memorabilia auction. According to a report from AllHipHop, he teamed up with DJ Skee who happens to run a memorabilia authentication and auction company called The Realest.

The live bidding has already begun as of earlier today and was announced the day before. It appears that the war to receive some of Snoop’s most prized possessions will end on June 16. One of the items that has been getting a lot of traction on Skee’s website so far has been a used blunt from Dogg. Also referred to as roach weed, meaning it was smoked until nearly the very end of the blunt.

Snoop Dogg Launches Iconic Auction Featuring Memorabilia, PlayStations, and More

Snoop Dogg and Son Announce their own Fornite game studio to promote diverse creators

Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg is giving fans a unique opportunity to own a piece of hip-hop history. The Long Beach native has teamed up with memorabilia-authentication and auction company The Realest to auction off an eclectic collection of items, with the event running from today until June 2.

According to Variety, Snoop’s auction features an array of iconic memorabilia. Items up for grabs include autographed photos, PlayStations, jackets, and jerseys. Producer and radio host Scott “DJ Skee” Keeney, the founder of The Realest, emphasized the uniqueness of the collection, telling Variety, “The items he is putting up are iconic. Everything from lyrics, awards — like ‘Pimp of the Year’! — unreleased tapes, outfits, sample toys, photos, scripts, concert riders, even a Snoop-authenticated smoked blunt in a crazy display case and ashtray.”

In addition to these standout items, the auction will feature autographed scripts from “The Boondocks” TV show, master recording tapes (though without the publishing rights), and a custom-boxed Death Row Records chain autographed by Snoop Dogg himself. Reflecting on the significance of the auction, Snoop noted, “This is sh*t that we have, but we didn’t know it was worth something.”

The auction’s diverse catalog underscores the growing market for hip-hop memorabilia, which has proven to be highly lucrative in recent years. Variety highlights that auctions involving hip-hop artifacts often yield substantial profits. Last year, for example, a mic thrown by Cardi B was auctioned for charity, and a rap book of Drake’s was sold the year prior. Notably, Drake himself purchased one of Tupac’s rings and Pharrell’s chain, the latter becoming a focal point in his feud with Kendrick Lamar.

DJ Skee views this auction as more than just a sale; it’s a new revenue opportunity for artists. “Items like setlists, stage equipment, outfits, signage, and more are things that fans desire but can’t find. It helps to build a new revenue stream for artists,” he explained.

For fans and collectors, this auction represents a rare chance to own memorabilia directly linked to one of hip-hop’s most enduring figures. As the event unfolds, it not only celebrates Snoop Dogg’s career but also highlights the broader cultural and financial significance of preserving and honoring hip-hop history.

Snoop Dogg is auctioning photos, PlayStations, autographed riders, autographed jackets and jerseys, and more. According to Variety, the Long Beach native has teamed up with memorabilia-authentication and auction company The Realest to host the auction, from today until June 2.

Producer and radio host Scott “DJ Skee” Keeney, the founder of The Realest, told Variety, “The items he is putting up are iconic. Everything from lyrics, awards — like ‘Pimp of the Year’! — unreleased tapes, outfits, sample toys, photos, scripts, concert riders, even a Snoop-authenticated smoked blunt in a crazy display case and ashtray.”

Other notable items being offered include autographed scripts from The Boondocks TV show, master recording tapes (sans the publishing rights they may represent), and even a Death Row Records chain in a custom box autographed by Snoop. As the Doggfather put it in a statement, “This is sh*t that we have, but we didn’t know it was worth something.”

As Variety notes, auctions involving hip-hop memorabilia are often quite profitable — just last year, a mic thrown by Cardi B was auctioned for charity, while the year before that, a rap book of Drake’s went up for sale — but rappers themselves are rarely the beneficiaries of their stuff being sold. Speaking of Drake, he bought one of Tupac’s rings last year, and his purchase of Pharrell’s chain was a point of contention in his battle with Kendrick Lamar.

DJ Skee sees his platform as a potential revenue stream for artists, saying, “Items like setlists, stage equipment, outfits, signage, and more are things that fans desire but can’t find. It helps to build a new revenue stream for artists.”
