Saweetie and P-Lo are getting into the sporty spirit, as the two dropped a new anthem for the San Francisco 49ers. The collab, titled “Do It For The Bay,” finds the two pumping up the team to make it to the Super Bowl in February.
The two appear in an equally energetic music video that incorporates both footage of the team and Saweetie performing with P-Lo. It also was a special full-circle moment, considering Saweetie is from Santa Clara and P-Lo’s from the Bay Area.
“I’m excited to share our new 49ers single designed to hype up the team and The Faithful for this playoffs run,” Saweetie said in a statement, according to Rolling Stone. “I want to thank the 49ers organization for this opportunity. Shout out to P-Lo for doing what he does.”
“I love that we were able to collaborate and make something that’s so Bay-triotic, as P-Lo would say,” Saweetie added.
“We’re lucky to be based in a region that is thriving with talent, diversity, and innovation, and excited that Saweetie and P-Lo were able to capture those values in this new anthem for The Bay,” Allie Dicken, a representative from the 49ers marketing team, shared also.

After unveiling their relationship to the world, the Compton, California rapper caught attention by canoodling with a female fan on camera in Los Angeles. Reps for YG took to The Shade Room to make a statement on his behalf, while the rapper himself shared a now-deleted Instagram story that read, “I love Kehlani I would never.” According to his PR team, YG “was drunk, got carried away and it was very regretful for putting himself in that situation and hurting Kehlani. He has no romantic connection to the girl, just a drunken moment carried away.”
Though Kehlani didn’t comment publicly about the situation, she took to social media to delete several images of the pair spending time together. However, the controversy didn’t end their relationship, as they continued to see each other without problems for at least another month.

According to the Instagram gossip account, a source close to the couple confirmed they made a mutual decision to split up, as both are busy with their careers and focused on making the most of them.
The two California rappers were rumored to be dating after Coachella last year, seemingly confirming the speculation during a cozy getaway in Cabo, Mexico a month later. In July, they announced a joint tour along with Tyga, which concluded in November with a hometown show at the Forum in Inglewood. Since then, things cooled down significantly at least on our end, leading folks to speculate on just how long ago they split. It’s possible that their teams are just now allegedly relaying this to The Shade Room after days, weeks, or months of a relationship status update between YG and Saweetie. Perhaps we’ll just have to wait and see whether either Cali native speaks out about what they had, and what they might continue to manifest beyond a cuff.

Dressed in their most funkadelic outfits, the two put their music knowledge to the test. In a game of Name That Tune, moderated by songwriter and producer Rogét Chahayed, the two acknowledged songs by Drake, DRAM, Travis Scott, and even Mozart, after only hearing seconds of audio from the songs.
The game proved to be one of high stakes, with both artists demonstrating impressive musical knowledge. But you’ll have to listen to the full episode to find out who won.
Elsewhere in the interview, Saweetie opened up about growing up in the church, where he grandparents were pastors.
“I was a church baby. Monday through Monday,” Saweetie said. “I mean, my parents was out, you know, and my grandparents would babysit me. So, I’d be at the church with them.”
