A$AP Rocky Toasts Rihanna After Oscars Performance
A$AP Rocky honored Rihanna with a toast following her incredible Oscars performance. Moreover, she performed her Black Panther: Wakanda Forever track “Lift Me Up” on Sunday’s (March 12) 95th Academy Awards in Hollywood. Not only did she proudly show off a bit of her baby bump, but her emotional performance received a standing ovation from the crowd. The song is a eulogy, dedication, and tribute to the late great Chadwick Boseman, who played the groundbreaking superhero in the first film. Following her performance, the camera showed Rocky cheering and pumping his fist for his girlfriend before raising his glass and giving a loving smile.
Of course, it wouldn’t be the first time that the star couple made headlines for their supportive performances. In February, Rihanna gave her long-awaited performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, which left fans stunned and in shock due to the reveal of a second pregnancy. While the New York MC supported her from the ground and danced along to the occasion, fans watching from everywhere expressed shock and awe on social media.
A$AP Rocky Toasts The Excellent Oscars Performance
Meanwhile, the “Diamonds” singer recently reflected on motherhood during a photoshoot with her boo and son. “Oh, my God, it’s legendary,” RiRi told British Vogue about being a first-time mom. “It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever. You literally try to remember it- and there are photos of my life before. But the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far, because it doesn’t matter.
“You walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three,” she continued. “It’s nuts. And oh, my gosh, those first days are insane. You don’t sleep. At all. Not even if you wanted to. We came home, cold turkey, had no one. It was just us as parents and our baby. Man, you’re a zombie for the most part.” Regardless, check out her full performance down below and return to HNHH for the latest updates on A$AP Rocky and Rihanna.
Rihanna Lifts The Awards Ceremony Up
Just The Thought That He Maybe Saw Rihanna At An Oscars Event Left ‘The Last Of Us’ Star Pedro Pascal Stunned
Pedro Pascal had a big day yesterday (March 12). Aside from the Season 1 finale of The Last Of Us debuting last night, the actor was also a presenter at the Academy Awards, where his sister Javiera Balmaceda (Amazon’s head of Originals, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Chile for Prime Video) was on hand to represent the Oscar-nominated Argentina, 1985. There were a ton of stars on hand for both the actual Oscars ceremony and for the Vanity Fair afterparty, and at the latter, Pascal was momentarily immobilized when he thought he saw Rihanna.
Towards the start of a red-carpet interview with Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg, as the two exchanged opening pleasantries, Dimoldenberg asked Pascal how he’s doing. As she asked the question, though, Pascal’s demeanor became more serious and distant as he looked off behind Dimoldenberg. After pausing for a few seconds, he asked, “Is that Rihanna?”
(It was not Rihanna he saw from behind, but rather, Saweetie.)
Dimoldenberg quipped that if it was Rihanna, Pascal should abandon the interview and go introduce himself. Pascal responded, “I will literally shove you out of the way.” Dimoldenberg said she’d do the same thing in his shoes and he replied, “If you didn’t do it, I wouldn’t understand.”
Pascal very clearly had Rihanna on the brain all night: In an earlier red-carpet interview at the actual Oscars with Ashley Graham, Pascal spoke about what he was looking forward to that night. He said he was happy to support his sister and to just watch the show before asking, “Is Rihanna performing?”
Rihanna, by the way, did perform.
[WATCH] Rihanna Performs “Lift Me UP” at 2023 Academy Awards
Rihanna was back on stage Sunday night, performing her Oscar-nominated single “Lift Me Up” at the 95th annual Academy Awards.
Backed by a fan, strings, and supporting vocalists, Rihanna took center stage, dripping in diamonds, and delivered a stellar performance of the single.
“Lift Me Up” was created to honor Chadwick Boseman and was included in the Black Panther 2 film. Danai Gurira, a Black Panther cast member, introduced her, and stated the singer was “royalty in her own right.”
Unfortunately, Rihanna and Tems, Ryan Coogler, and Ludwig Göransson did not win the Best Original Song award for the night. It went to “Naatu Naatu” by M.M. Keeravaani; Lyric by Chandrabose for the film RRR.
You can see her performance below.

Rihanna’s ‘Lift Me Up’ Performance At The Oscars Garnered The Singer A Standing Ovation, And Rightfully So
Rihanna’s Super Bowl LVII performance may have sparked quite a few (unjustifiable) compliments to the FCC, there’s no one complaining about her performance during tonight’s (March 12) 2023 Oscars ceremony. Gleaming with immaculately jeweled costuming and pregnancy bliss, performed “Lift Me Up” from Wakanda 2: Wakanda Forever.
The moving tribute track to the late actor Chadwick Boseman brought the entertainer out of musical retirement. With her baby bump on full display, Rihanna took the stage built out to resemble the breathtaking nature shots shown in the film. Backed by a full orchestra and a host of background singers, the singer belted out the emotional lyrics to the song, which was rewarded with a standing ovation after her conclusion.

When asked about what went into creating the tribute track, co-writer Tems said, “After speaking with [director Ryan Coogler] and hearing his direction for the film and the song, I wanted to write something that portrays a warm embrace from all the people that I’ve lost in my life. I tried to imagine what it would feel like if I could sing to them now and express how much I miss them. Rihanna has been an inspiration to me so hearing her convey this song is a great honor.”
Everyone Drake Has Dated
Drake, one of this generation’s most popular hip-hop artists, has had his fair share of romantic relationships in the public eye. Drake is linked to famous women worldwide, from fellow musicians to athletes. Here’s a look at everyone Drake has been in a relationship with:
Rihanna
Drake’s first high-profile relationship was with Rihanna, the Barbadian singer and actress. Early on in 2009, the two reportedly began dating in 2009, and their relationship was highly publicized in the media. Although the couple had an on-and-off relationship for several years, they finally called it quits in 2016. Despite the ups and downs in their relationship, they remained friends and even collaborated on songs, including “Take Care” and “Work.”
J-Lo
After his breakup with Rihanna, Drake began dating Jennifer Lopez, the American singer and actress. Later on, in late 2016, they would often be seen together in public. However, their relationship was short-lived, and the couple called it quits in early 2017.
Bella Hadid And Hailey Bieber
Drake’s next highly publicized relationship was with American model and actress Bella Hadid. The two were first spotted together in 2017, and rumors of their relationship began circulating. However, neither he nor Bella ever confirmed their relationship, and whether they were dating remains unclear.
Later on, in 2018, Drake was linked to another famous model, Hailey Bieber, the American model and wife of Justin Bieber. The two were seen together several times, and rumors of their relationship began circulating. Nevertheless, like his relationship with Bella Hadid, he never confirmed whether he was dating Hailey.
Johanna Leia
Drake’s most recent fling was with Johanna Leia, the mother of Amari Bailey, a highly-touted basketball prospect. The two were first spotted together in 2021, and their relationship was highly publicized in the media. However, their relationship was short-lived, and the couple reportedly split up a few months later.
Have His Relationships Affected His Music Career?
To conclude, the impact of women in Drake’s life and career has been a topic of much discussion. Some argue that his highly publicized relationships have helped to increase his popularity and public profile. Others say that his relationships have been a distraction from his music and have caused him to lose focus on his career.
Despite his relationships’ impact on his career, the rapper remains one of the most successful musicians in the industry. Overall, he has won numerous awards, including four Grammy Awards, and has sold over 170 million records worldwide. Incidentally, his music significantly impacts popular culture, with many of his songs becoming viral hits and inspiring countless memes and TikTok videos.
Despite the ups and downs, Drake remains one of the most successful musicians in the industry. Meanwhile, the impact of his connections on his life and career is a topic of much discussion. Yet, it is still clear that Drake’s music has significantly impacted popular culture and helped solidify his place as one of the most.
Rihanna’s Best Live Performances
Since her audacious debut with Pon De Replay in 2005, Rihanna has been an unstoppable sonic force in hip-hop. In what feels like a matter of moments, she has gone from sparkling ingenue to tour-de-force performance artist whose talents have found equal spotlights in the worlds of music, film and fashion. Her performance at Super Bowl LVII was only an inevitable bullet point on an already epic resume.
Still, like many of the greats – think Janet Jackson, Britney Spears and Mary J. Blige – it is Rihanna’s live performances where her genius is on full display. She might be performing for a sold-out stadium, but she has mastered the uncanny ability to individualize her productions, creating an intimacy between fans and herself that allows them to believe that they are in her orbit, if only until the song is over. Watching her live is to watch a virtuoso in the midst of an artistic renaissance happening one right after the other. In a matter of a few beats, she can go from coy and seductive to fierce and uncompromising.
When reflecting on her own performances, jazz chanteuse Nina Simone once said, “I want to shake people up so bad, that when they leave a nightclub where I’ve performed, I just want them to be to pieces.”
That ability to shake the earth and everyone on it is something that Rihanna can also claim to do. People are not just humming and dancing when they leave her arenas; they’re thinking, their brains rattling around even as their bodies are still moving to rhythms cast on the wind in their wake.
In looking at Rihanna’s oeuvre of performances, certain shows stand out more than others, though in no particular order:
Diamonds- 2014 Concert For Valor
Dressed in black sequins, with her hair as straight-as-a-ski-slope as it angles down her back, all Rihanna said was “Hello D.C.” before she launched into her song “Diamonds” at the 2014 Concert for Valor in the nation’s capital. She was only 26 at the time, and yet she held her own at a star-studded event where the roster of performers included Jennifer Hudson, David Grohl and Metallica. The entire show was broadcast on HBO.
Diamonds- 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Cue to the same song, but a different tenor. At the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – which capped in at 53 million views – Rihanna skipped all introductions as she sauntered on stage in a slinky black dress with a slit from ankle to hip. Black thigh highs offered a teasing glimpse of skin that fit the show’s theme of Dangerous Liaisons, a story that is all about the games men and women play when confusing love for power. Fog billowed around her as she crooned to the audience in an ultimate delivery of seduction and ‘look-but-don’t-touch’ vibes. The sunglasses with the white rims kept the number playful while the black opera gloves maintained an aura of class.
Love The Way You Lie/Not Afraid (Ft. Eminem)-2010 VMAs
After the release of her fifth studio album, Loud, which was released in 2010, the Barbadian songstress adopted a new look that included shockingly bright magenta hair and a roster of songs that were not afraid to seduce. In this S&M era, she joined forces with Eminem to perform “Love the Way You Lie / Not Afraid” at the 2010 VMAs. After Eminem performed with a sacrosanct prowess that was infused with gospel, Rihanna appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, like a waifish prom queen who has decided that she’s got more important things to talk about than who won king and queen that night. She had a song to sing and hearts to break, and she was going to deliver.
Bitch Better Have My Money-2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards
Even if she hadn’t been wearing the sour-apple-green faux fur, Rihanna would have commanded attention at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards – a show that nabbed 86 million views – with her rendition of “Bitch Better Have My Money”. As if adopting the adage ‘go big or go home’, Rihanna entered the stage by slyly stepping from a helicopter and then launching into a song and dance sequence that nailed every beat with a techno precision.
Love On The Brain-2016 Global Citizen Festival
In 2016 at the Global Citizen Festival, Rihanna asked her audience, “Are you ready?” before beginning her jazz-fueled ballad “Love on the Brain.” Everything about the performance called to mind a blues club where everyone knows everyone and everyone is willing to share their heartache. Between the occasional pauses so that her fans could sing the lyrics, to her own soft and subtle sways, this was a Rihanna who can tell the rest of us all about heartache.
Pon De Replay- AOL Sessions
When an artist has had the kind of robust and dynamic career that Rihanna has had, it is tempting to overlook the earliest material. That would be a mistake. In hindsight, Rihanna’s AOL sessions with “Pon De Replay” was a sneak peek at who she would become, both as an individual artist and as a person who knew how to make her name a brand that could not be replicated or minimized. She sang and danced on a minimalistic sound stage where red dominated, commanding the camera as if she were already a seasoned veteran. The dance moves were natural and uninhibited, making it clear that she was a performer who was on the verge of something unprecedented.

A Group Of Senior Citizens’ Perfect Rihanna Super Bowl Halftime Show Remake TikTok Caught Rihanna And Jay-Z’s Attention
2023 has already been huge for Rihanna thanks to her kicking the year off by performing the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Some folks thought the performance was obscene enough to file complaints with the FCC, with at least one viewer likening it to pornography. Residents at Arcadia Senior Living Bowling Green in Kentucky were apparently cool with it, though, so much so that they re-created the performance themselves (and earned the attention of Jay-Z in the process).
A TikTok video shared back in February starts with two rows of white-clad seniors lined up, parting to reveal the Rihanna of the video, wearing all red and enthusiastically mouthing along to Rihanna’s “Rude Boy.” The clip was a viral hit and has since been viewed over 30 million times.

Jay-Z was apparently tickled by the video, as he sent a bouquet of roses to the Arcadia Senior Living memers. Arcadia resident Sue Evans told Bowling Green’s WNKY, “There’s 100 of them. And they’re from Jay-Z. My granddaughter was worried and she told her mother, ‘I hope she knows who Jay-Z is!’”

Fellow Arcadia resident Dora Martin also said, “My grandchildren and I watched and there were flips and flops and I was standing there thinking, ‘Wow, I wish I could do that,’ and then I did do that.” She added, “I went to the doctor the other day and the nurses, as soon as I walked in there, knew who I was.”
Martin also said of Jay-Z’s gesture, “I thought that was wonderful, very nice of him!”
Rihanna sent flowers as well, according to a post on Arcadia’s Facebook page.
