BottleRock Napa Valley will take place at the Napa Valley Expo in Napa Valley, California from Friday, May 24, to Sunday, May 26. The festival announced the full lineup this morning, January 8. Three-day tickets will be available for purchase beginning tomorrow, January 9, at 10 a.m. PST.
According to BottleRock’s official website, 2024 will mark the first time there are “no surprises at checkout” because “all fees are included upfront.” The website lists the three-day general admission ticket price as $409 and tacks on the $47 fee to end at a $456 total.
The site also lists the three-day VIP as sold out, though it’s unclear if that will refresh on January 9. As of now, BottleRock is offering a sign-up page for anyone interested in ticket and hotel packages.

Despite former board member Jann Wenner’s disgusting remarks, the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony is tuned to be a true headbanger. In May, the inductees class, which features Kate Bush, Rage Against The Machine, the late George Michael, Missy Elliott, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, and the Spinners, was announced. Shortly after, the live entertainment for the broadcast was unveiled, but today (October 24), that list has grown. Here is the complete list of performers for the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction.
Inductees Nelson, Crow, and Missy have confirmed they’ll hit the stage. In addition to their sets, Elton John, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, Dave Matthews, HER, New Edition, St. Vincent, Stevie Nicks, Adam Levine, Carrie Underwood, Common, Ice-T, LL Cool J, Miguel, Queen Latifah, and Sia will perform.
Outside of the performances and inductions, several impactful musicians will be acknowledged during the ceremony, including Chaka Khan, Al Kooper, and Bernie Taupin, who will be awarded the Musical Excellence Award. At the same time, DJ Kool Herc and Link Wray will be bestowed with the Musical Influence Award. Lastly, the Soul Train host Don Cornelius will posthumously receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony will be held on November 3 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. For the first time in the ceremony’s history, it will be broadcast live on Disney+. Find more information here.
Anybody who thought the vinyl resurgence was just a fad was mistaken: The industry has experienced a legitimate revival. As a result, music fans are interested in physical media in ways they may not have if the decades-old medium hasn’t made a comeback. That doesn’t mean everybody is listening to just their parents’ old music, though. That’s part of it, sure, thanks to rereleases that present classic albums in new ways. A vital part of the renewed vinyl wave, though, is new projects being released as records, of which there are plenty.
Whatever you might be into, each month brings a new slew of vinyl releases that has something for everybody. Some stand out above the rest, naturally, so check out some of our favorite vinyl releases of July below.
Rolling Stones — Forty Licks (Reissue)

The Rolling Stones are bringing their 2002 compilation album Forty Licks to digital formats for the first time, but more relevant here is its debut on vinyl. The collection, originally released to mark the band’s 40th anniversary, was released as a limited edition four-disc, 180-gram black vinyl version, all in a wide spined gatefold sleeve.
Even excluding her iconic work with Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks has had a hell of a career with her solo work. Her solo debut came in 1981, and now that project and everything since has been compiled in a new box set, along with Rarities, a compilation of, you guessed it, rarities, which are only available in this release.
In case you haven’t been a music consumer at all this year: In 2023, hip-hop is celebrating its milestone 50th anniversary, and there have been plenty of observances to honor the occasion. One example is a compilation of hits from across the genres history, featuring songs from icons past and present, like A Tribe Called Quest, Travis Scott, Wu-Tang Clan, and 21 Savage.
If you have a vinyl copy of Pretzel Logic, it’s likely old and worn out, as the album hasn’t been released on vinyl in over three decades. Now, though, it’s been pressed again, and the album has even been remastered from the original analogue tapes for the occasion.
R.E.M. — Around The Sun and Collapse Into Now (Reissues)

Two major albums in R.E.M.’s discography have been out of print for a while, but now they’re getting fresh vinyl pressings. Limited editions of Around The Sun and Collapse Into Now are available exclusively on R.E.M.’s website: The latter is pressed on opaque white vinyl, while the former comes on milky clear vinyl and comes with exclusive merch.
Sublime — 40oz. To Freedom (Vinyl Me, Please Reissue)

Sublime’s self-titled third album was what saw the group break out in a major way, but their earlier work has since become beloved as well. Now their debut, 40oz. To Freedom, is the rock album of the month over at Vinyl Me, Please, so it comes pressed on lovely blue vinyl and with a new listening notes booklet.
Pantera is about as iconic as it gets when it comes to metal, and now fans can cherish their journey with a new box set collecting all of their albums. This isn’t just a standard vinyl reissue, as these are picture discs featuring the corresponding cover art, making this the most definitive and aesthetically pleasing way to experience Pantera on vinyl.
Brian May + Friends — Star Fleet Project (Reissue)

In 1983, Brian May + Friends dropped Star Fleet Project, and the “+ Friends” joining the Queen guitarist was an esteemed roster featuring Eddie Van Halen. The project is 40 years old now and it got an anniversary edition, about which May said, “It’s been very exciting to open up the vault to find these tapes where, in the blink of an eye, I’m trading licks with my friends including the fantastic Ed Van Halen. It’s highly emotional, especially since Ed is sadly no longer around. We have since also lost Phil [Chen] — so the rest of us cherish these fleeting moments together.”
Into It. Over It.’s Intersections was a major release in the emo revival of the 2010s, and now this important album is ten years old. So, it just got pressed on vinyl for the first time in years and Into It. Over It. is going to spend some time on the road celebrating the album with live shows this fall.
It may not feel like it quite yet, but Halloween is just around the corner. That makes now the perfect time to grab the new vinyl edition of the Wednesday soundtrack. Danny Elfman and Chris Bacon’s music comes pressed on striking “purple goth with smokey shadow” vinyl alongside big, gorgeous art from the hit show.
Artists selling all, or even a portion, of their catalogs and publishing rights has become a recent occurrence, as several large-scale performers and bands have made massive deals.
The most recent, Metro Boomin, reportedly sold part of his for $70 million to Shamrock Capital — although not much is known about the deal’s specifics yet.

Lizzo accepted the People’s Champion Award from her mother, Shari Johnson-Jefferson, at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards last night (December 6). “When I first heard about this award, I was on the fence about whether I should accept because if I’m the people’s champ, I don’t need a trophy for championing people,” the Special songwriter said to begin her acceptance speech. “To be an icon isn’t about how long you’ve had your platform; being an icon is what you do with that platform.” It’s universally agreed upon that Lizzo used her six-minute People’s Choice platform beautifully.
The Emmy and Grammy winner brought several activists to the stage, naming them all and explaining each woman’s cause — including Jayla Rose, one of her Big Grrrls backup dancers, and Breonna Taylor’s mother, Tamika Palmer. Lizzo held back tears when introducing Maggie Mireles, whose sister, Eva Mireles, died while protecting her students during May’s Uvalde, Texas school shooting.
Lizzo’s speech concluded by urging the audience to “give them their flowers.” Stevie Nicks took to Instagram today (December 7) to give Lizzo flowers with an open letter.
“In my opinion~ your presentation last night on the People’s Choice Awards was not only so beautiful and so needed~ that you get the award for being a great woman of our time,” Nicks’s post reads. “I was so impressed and so touched that you put that together and pulled it off. It was stunning~ and everyone heard you. You have given all women soundbites forever~ flute player, singer, songwriter, future politician…? Your name is in the stars now.”
Many music festivals are plotting a triumphant return in 2022, and Bonnaroo is no different. The Tennessee festival announced they are slated to hold their 2022 event in late spring this year, and they’ve just shared a list of all the musicians fans can expect to see. J. Cole, Tool, and Stevie Nicks will headline the three-day festival alongside a number of eclectic artists.
Returning the weekend of June 16-19, 2022, Bonnaroo will once again take place on the Bonnaroo Farm, which is located just 60 miles southeast of Nashville in Manchester, TN. In press materials, the festival noted they’ve listened to fan feedback and will implement “an array of additional activities and site improvements,” including, wayfinding help, pedicabs for transportation, cooling stations, charging stations, and more.
Along with J. Cole, Tool, and Stevie Nicks performing as headliners, Bonaroo has booked artists like Roddy Ricch, The Chicks, Flume, 21 Savage, Machine Gun Kelly, Tinashe, Tierra Wack, Illenium, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Disclosure, Lord Huron, The War On Drugs, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Goose, Bleachers, Isaiah Rashad, Slowthai, The Weather Station, Indigo De Souza, Jessie Murph, Arlo Parks, Claud, Fletcher, and more.

Slowly but surely, the live music industry is returning to normal. Artists are announcing tour dates and festivals are planning to go ahead with their 2021 events after canceling or postponing in 2020. Even just today has been big for festival news: Pitchfork Music Festival unveiled a big 2021 lineup this morning, and now so too has Bottlerock.
The Napa, California music, wine, food and brew festival is set to return this year, on the weekend of September 3 to 5. Foo Fighters, Stevie Nicks, and Guns N’ Roses have been tapped to headline the weekend.
