“You know Nicki being the queen she is in the rap game, she responded, got off a record, and that’s what you supposed to do,” the Richer Than I Ever Been artist reflected. “Is she disrespecting her dead mother? I haven’t heard it. I’ve done things too. When I’m at odds and I’m making my music, I’ve done things and said things So, sometimes it’s f**k ‘em.”

MMG’s label head and entrepreneur savant sent over a cease and desist to her a couple of days ago. It was a byproduct of multiple verbal and defamatory attacks toward his new girl, Cristina Mackey. Of course, Tia was not happy about receiving that paperwork. So, she went on a ruthless rant.

2024 seems to be off to a peaceful start in rap music. During a recent interview, Kid Cudi confirmed his relationship with Kanye West had been mended. This revelation, in a convoluted way, helped to put an end to his feud with Lupe Fiasco. Now, Meek Mill has come out to quash a longstanding beef rumor.

On January 20, the “Ima Boss” rapper prompted his followers on X (formerly Twitter) to submit questions, and he’d answer them truthfully. One of the questions posed to Meek surrounded his relationship with former Maybach Music Group collaborator Wale. Meek immediately shut it down when asked if the pair had any issues.

“Hell no,” he wrote. “We had our arguments before… years back. But I came in this game getting money with him. I’m not holding any grudges against my people. And for what?”

Similarly, during a sit-down with Drink Champs in October 2021, Wale also dismissed the fable. As host Nore asked him about reports that Rick Ross and Meek Mill had him barred from entering their private section at a nightclub, Wale laughed off the story.

“I don’t know sh*t about that,” he said. “That sh*t don’t even sound real to me. I talked to both of them n****s all the time. I ain’t hear nothing like that. If I ain’t hear nothing like that, I can’t say.”

Not that this has been cleared up; maybe the two will finally give supporters a new track.

Rich Brian’s 1999 Write The Future Collective Has Rick Ross Joining Him On The Electric ‘Light Rails’

Rich Brian’s music collective, 1999 Write The Future, treated fans to a new song titled “Light Rails,” which features Rick Ross. The two featured artists had previously collaborated together for the 2021 Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings soundtrack, giving them the comfort to take turns on the verses.

Uproxx cover star Rich Brian kicks off the track, delivering some fun pop culture references in the process. “Courthouses full of people pointin’ fingers / Little did they know, It’s gon’ take more than that to bury me / Killin’ Bills feelin’ like I’m Tarantin’ / We against defeat, that’s not our fantasy,” he raps, according to Genius.

“Top-down, my smoke thick (Huh) / Free throws, I don’t miss (Huh) / White tees, my hat back,” Rick Ross adds. “My b*tch bad, I love this / I run past that f*ck sh*t / That small talk, some f*ck sh*t.”

Before this release, 1999 Write The Future put out a few other collabs over the past month, including “Mint Chocolate” (feat. BADBADNOTGOOD, Westside Gunn, and Conway The Machine) and “Run The Fade (feat. Eyedress). The music video for the latter track included an appearance from the comedian Tim Robinson.
