ABC Accidentally Shows Picture Of Quavo In Takeoff Tribute

At the end of every year, ABC does an “In Memorium” segment to honor the celebrities who have passed away throughout the months prior.

Airing on Monday (December 26), this year’s segment honored late figures like Olivia Newton-John, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, Coolio, Stephen “tWitch” Boss and more.

However, the network made a critical mistake. When the tribute for Takeoff appeared on the screen, it was unfortunately a photo of his uncle, Quavo, instead.

Evidently, fans were quick to notice and subsequently took to social media to air out their thoughts.

“ABC, count your f*cking days. These mother f*ckers really put a picture of Guavo and said RIP Takeoff! Like whyyyyyyy. Smh. Whoever put that slide show together needs to be fired,” says one user.

“Yo @ABC whoever you have reviewing the yearly tribute to all the famous people who died this year needs to get fired, had a pic of Quavo in place of Takeoff,” writes another.

“So I’m watching #TheYear on @abc and was caught off guard by the disrespect and ignorance of the programming. All black people don’t look the same and y’all got this one wrong, the person [in] the picture is clearly, clearly Quavo[.] Do better,” says another Twitter user.

The Apology

The network has since apologized for the mistake. Additionally, they have also updated the photo to be one of Takeoff. In a tweet posted on Tuesday (December 27), they made sure to correct it. “We apologize for the unfortunate error in a previous version of ‘The Year: 2022.’ It has been corrected,” the tweet reads.

It’s been nearly two months since the late Migos rapper‘s tragic murder in November following a fatal shooting at a private event in Houston. The “Last Memory” rapper was only 28 years old.

The alleged shooter, Patrick Clark, has since been arrested and charged with murder. Earlier today, a judge denied yet another request for a bond reduction by Clark’s legal team. His bond remains set at $1 million.

R. Kelly Confirms He Didn’t Have A Child With Joycelyn Savage

Even from behind bars, R. Kelly continues to be in the headlines. Over the past couple of days, rumors began circulating on social media that his alleged fiancée, Joycelyn Savage gave birth to his kid. However, her father, Timothy Savage, has since denied these claims.

Taking to his Instagram account on Tuesday (December 27), he went live to address the situation. “The little baby on the account is a pretty little baby. If I had a granddaughter, I would be the first to say I love this child, no matter what the situation is. These people are evil, cruel people. To take a horrible situation and try to make some profit off of it,” he says.

Mr. Savage goes on to say that a fake Instagram account claiming to be his daughter is responsible for making the announcement and subsequently stirring up the gossip.

Furthermore, a new update on Wednesday (December 28) provides audio recordings of the disgraced singer speaking from prison. In an exclusive interview with Rick Party of The Natasha Simona Sequence show, the 55-year-old also denies that Savage gave birth to his child. “I can’t name names, I can just say, Joycelyn is my fiancée and I love her and she loves me, and we’re together. I can say that. She is not in my case or none of that. She’s not against me,” says Kelly during the phone conversation.

When Party asks him directly if the rumors are true, the disgraced singer is quick to speak out. “Hell nah! That’s what I’m sayin’. She didn’t have a child. I didn’t put out no damn album. If I did put out an album, it wouldn’t be called I Admit It. We gotta start using our common sense at some point,” he says afterwards.

This all stems from comments made by Savage earlier this year. In August, she claimed to be pregnant with the 55-year-old’s child in a shocking tell-all. Although all other parties have denied this to be true, it should be noted that Savage herself has yet to speak out.

The “Ignition” singer remains behind bars, where he is currently serving a 30-year sentence for his various crimes, including sex trafficking and racketeering.

Takeoff’s Alleged Killer Denied Another Bond Reduction

It’s been nearly three months since the tragic and sudden death of Takeoff. In the early morning of November 1, the 28-year-old was shot and killed while at a private party in Houston.

The fatal shooting allegedly stemmed from an altercation over a dice game.

Authorities have since been successful in identifying the alleged shooter as Patrick Clark. He has subsequently been arrested and charged with murder in the case.

The upcoming trial is evidently causing some financial issues for the suspect. Shortly after his arrest, reports indicate that he requested money from the judge in order to hire a private investigator. The judge has since awarded him $5,000 in order to do so.

Earlier this month, the judge set Clark’s bond at $2 million. After his lawyer argued that the number was an excessive amount, the judge lowered it to $1 million. However, the alleged shooter’s attorneys still believe the seven-figure number is too high.

Nonetheless, a further request to lower the bond has reportedly been denied on Wednesday (December 28). Clark’s attorneys want the bond set at $330,000. They say his family members are preparing to cover his bond if the lowering takes place. However, it appears as though this won’t be happening.

The judge reportedly labels Clark as a flight risk if let out on bail. He was allegedly preparing to fly to Mexico after the murder. Upon his arrest, authorities discovered his passport and an itinerary for the country on his person.

Additionally, the judge has some evidence supporting the fact that Clark actually can afford the bond payment. This includes social media posts in which he’s posing with large sums of money, as well as alleged phone calls where he states that he could cover the original $2 million bond.

Long Live Takeoff.

Joe Budden Says He Wants To See Rick Ross Vs. T.I. “Verzuz” Battle

Verzuz battles continue to be a heavily debated topic within the hip-hop and R&B world. There’s always discourse among fans online about which two artists should face each other next. However, we’ve only seen some of them come to fruition.

Regardless, there have certainly been a number of memorable battles over the past few years, including Jeezy and Gucci’s historic showdown, as well as T-Pain vs. Lil Jon.

In a recent episode of his own show, The Joe Budden Podcast, the “Pump It Up” rapper says he thinks Rick Ross and T.I. should square off next.

“I’m down for the person that we’ve seen already, that won.. alright, next battle. Rick Ross versus T.I.,” the media personality starts off. He goes on to say that the “Whatever You Like” rapper has never participated in one and he thinks Rozay won in his previous showdown with 2 Chainz. Therefore, according to Budden, the “Hustlin’” rapper should move on to face a new opponent.

“And Ross [has] got more than 40 records that he could play with, so now [he’s] back with a different 20. Or ‘John’ in front of T.I. looks different than ‘John’ in front of 2 Chainz. Like, I don’t think Ross will have time for the strippers to come out against T.I. It won’t be time for massages, speeches.. that’s T.I.” he continues afterwards.

The aforementioned Rick Ross vs. 2 Chainz battle went down in 2020. Budden obviously thinks that the “Aston Martin Music” rapper came out on top and should face a new opponent. “There’s a few people that won that I think need to come back and do it again,” says the former Everyday Struggle co-host. The suggestion certainly seems like a good idea and it will be interesting to see reactions pour in on social media.

Check out Budden’s initial reaction to the Rozay vs. 2 Chainz Verzuz announcement below.

Old Drake Lyrics Found In Memphis Dumpster

Regardless of your thoughts on him, Drake is continuing his run as one of the most dominant acts that mainstream music has ever seen.

Although he’s been in the game for over a decade, he continues to be all over the charts and pull in quite impressive sales and streaming numbers with every new release.

However, he didn’t get to this point without a little bit of dedication and hard work.

According to reports from TMZ, pages of the Toronto superstar’s old handwritten lyrics were recently discovered in a dumpster. At the time of these lyrics, the Take Care artist was allegedly working on music in his uncle’s Memphis factory. Once it closed down, the pages somehow ended up in the garbage.

It’s certainly hard to tell exactly what year the “Jimmy Cooks” rapper penned the lyrics. However, one of the pages does contain lyrics for a song seemingly titled “Come Spring.” On Drizzy’s very first mixtape, 2006’s Room For Improvement, there’s a song called “Come Winter” within the tracklist.

“We’re in the age of conflict and knowledge / But we’re trapped in this cage of barbed wire and wreckage with the freedom to go to college / The freedom to indulge and dissolve ourselves in the process / The law says / You have witnessed / an audience in the race of silence,” young Drake wrote on one of the pages.

Thanks to Moments In Time, a famous authentic autograph and memorabilia dealer, the notebook is going up for sale. The price point is reportedly $20,000.

2022 has proven to be yet another majorly successful year for the 36-year-old. In November, he claimed another Billboard record, becoming the only artist ever to occupy at least eight of the top 10 songs in the the Hot 100 chart simultaneously, on two different occasions. This feat is thanks to his most recent album, the 21 Savage collab, Her Loss. Furthermore, the album marks the biggest opening week for a hip-hop/R&B album in 2022, selling 411,000 copies.

Would you consider buying this piece of music history if you have a cool $20,000 kicking around? Let us know in the comments down below. Finally, make sure to tune into our newest holiday playlist here.

Bella Thorne Recalls A Director Accusing Her Of Flirting When She Was 10 Years Old

Bella Thorne says that a director once accused her of flirting with him when she was just 10 years old. Throne recalled the incident during a discussion with Emily Ratajkowski on her High Low podcast.

“’What the fuck are you talking about man?’” she remembered thinking at the time. “I don’t give a fuck what the fuck I said. I don’t care if I said ‘eat my pussy right now.’ She is 10 years old! Why ever would you think that? Why?”

Thorne continued: “You’re in a director session—you can’t really say or do much. You do the scene, you say hello, you walk out. There’s no time to like ‘let me go sit on your lap’ or like make you feel uncomfortable. What the fuck are you talking about?”

“Just putting that on a 10-year-old child and making it like they made an adult man uncomfortable is insane… and then that was relayed to a casting director who was happy to relay that to your mom,” Ratajkowski said. “If you need a more fucked up story about Hollywood and, like, pedophilia and the sexualization of children, I don’t know if there is one.”

Ratajkowski has been open about her own struggles with sexual harassment in the industry. In 2021, she published a collection of essays titled My Body, in which she examined the commodification of the female body. In the book, she accuses Robin Thicke of groping her on the set for his “Blurred Lines” music video. The track was released in 2013.
