DaBaby Facing Lawsuit For Allegedly Stealing “Rockstar” Beat From Producer

DaBaby’s downfall continues. The rapper – who was among the most popular in the world in 2020 – has been in the news for controversial reasons since last year.

According to a report from TMZ, the “BOP” rapper is now being sued for stealing the beat to one of his most popular songs, “ROCKSTAR” featuring Roddy Ricch.

The producer filing the lawsuit, JuJu Beatz claims that he sent a “musical composition” to DaBaby’s team a few years back. Part of it was later sampled by the 30-year-old illegally and without his permission.

Additionally, the creative claims the rapper and his camp accessed the digital file over 40 times from late 2019 to early 2020.

Beatz is suing for damages, as the rapper is seemingly refusing to cooperate outside of court.

“ROCKSTAR” currently has over one billion streams on Spotify since its release. The up-and-coming hitmaker says he hasn’t earned any money for his allegedly stolen beat.

As we mentioned earlier, controversy has been running rampant in the “Babysitter” artist’s life for some time now. In the summer of 2021, the Cleveland native received backlash for some out-of-pocket comments he made while on stage at Rolling Loud.

In a hate-filled rant seemingly towards the LGBTQ+ community, he singled out AIDS victims. “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” he said to the crowd.

Gay men were the target of his next remark. “Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d*ck in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up,” DaBaby continued.

Consequently, a number of festivals including Lollapalooza went forward with removing the KIRK rapper from their lineups.

Meeting with several organizations and a since-deleted public apology led to an LGBTQ+ foundation, Relationship Unleased, forgiving the rapper.

CEO Gwendolyn D. Clemons said they felt as though the GRAMMY-nominated rapper had learned why his comments were harmful.

After escaping that scandal (not without consequences, however), he’s now caught up in the “ROCKSTAR” lawsuit.

As the latest saga in DaBaby’s troubled career begins to unfold, do you think he’ll ever be as popular as he once was? Sound off in the comments below.

Lori Harvey & Damson Idris Romance Rumours Run Rampant Online

The dating life of Lori Harvey is no stranger to the front pages of various blogs. Following her split from her long-term beau Michael B. Jordan earlier this year, the model has been enjoying the single-girl lifestyle. However, recent reports have linked her to another Hollywood heartthrob, and the gossip has the internet boldly speaking their minds.

According to Media Take Out, the 25-year-old has been surprisingly romantically tied to Snowfall actor Damson Idris as of late. Other past suitors said to have been spending time with her include Jack Harlow as well as Creed 3 actor Jonathan Majors.

While this is all just gossip and speculation (for now), the outlet didn’t stop there. In another spilling of juicy tea, they revealed that Harvey reportedly makes the men she dates sign an “air-tight” NDA with some serious financial consequences if broken.

“Lori makes [all the men] sign an NDA to make sure that whatever they talk about is personal and confidential,” a friend of the Memphis beauty’s unquestionably dished. The document specifically prohibits signees from sharing any photos or messages exchanged between them.

Additionally, it bans “saving any screen captures of their discussions or communications, including any video conferences.” Meanwhile, the cost of breaking the rules? Obviously a small penalty of a million dollars.

The same friend later says that the Los Angeles law firm previously responsible for Drake’s infamous NDAs wrote Harvey’s for her.

As expected, the gossip has Twitter users going accordingly feral. “If Lori Harvey is dating Damson I’m going to scream and throw up. Get away from him,” one particularly dramatic user wrote. Another added, “My goodness, she really don’t miss.”

“I could care less about Lori having NDAs. Is she really messing with Damson???? I need answers quickly,” someone else conversely joked.

Tory Lanez & Megan Thee Stallion Trial Officially Underway

It’s been over two years since Tory Lanez allegedly shot Megan Thee Stallion in the foot. The trial is finally getting underway in Los Angeles.

Opening remarks serve as the first order of business and will begin today (December 12). The Canadian faces three felony counts.

If convicted of all charges, including assault and having a concealed weapon in a vehicle, he could spend upwards of 22 years in prison.

However, the Brampton-born rapper continues to maintain his innocence. He has pleaded not guilty to the felonies against him. It currently remains unclear if he will testify. His alleged victim, though, is due to take the stand later this week, according to a spokesman for the LA County DA’s office.

In August 2020, the “Savage” rapper officially came forward during an Instagram Live to accuse the 30-year-old of shooting her in the foot. The incident allegedly took place in July outside of a party hosted by Kylie Jenner in the Hollywood Hills.

The “Say It” singer broke his own silence the following month. He subsequently released DAYSTAR, a 17-track album in which he addresses his side of the story on multiple songs.

Namely, on “Money Over Fallouts,” the lyricist questions how Thee Stallion could’ve gotten shot in the foot without getting hit in any bones or tendons. Lanez’s first charge stemming from the incident came in October 2020.

On the other hand, the Traumazine rapper continues to defend her allegations.

She has never been afraid to clap back at people online who question her reality and trauma. The Texas native criticizes the difference in attitude towards violence against Black women compared to the dismissal of her truth.

In her April interview with CBS Mornings host Gayle King, the 27-year-old detailed her side of the story on television for the first time.

Stemming from a separate alleged assault with fellow artist August Alsina, the world was witness to Lanez subsequently being placed on house arrest in October. He has since been released.

Just last week, Lanez’s lawyer revealed that Kylie Jenner and Cory Gamble are among the possible witnesses of the alleged assault. Both were present at the 2020 party that the incident followed.

“I want him to go to jail,” Meg said of Tory when speaking to Rolling Stone earlier this year. The trial is expected to last at least two weeks.

Make sure to stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates in the trial. What do you think the outcome will be? Comment down below.

Elon Musk To Increase Cost Of Twitter Blue For iPhone Users

Elon Musk and Twitter will be relaunching the Twitter Blue service on Monday. The company has announced that iPhone users will have to pay a higher fee to access the subscription.

“We’re relaunching @TwitterBlue on Monday,” the official Twitter account posted. “Subscribe on web for $8/month or on iOS for $11/month to get access to subscriber-only features, including the blue checkmark.”

The Twitter Blue service will allow subscribers access to a blue checkmark, the ability to edit tweets, and upload high-quality videos.

The decision to increase the price for iOS users comes following Musk’s feud with Apple. The increase is likely to cover a fee put forth on Twitter by Apple’s App Store. Musk called out the company on Twitter, last month, directly tagging Tim Cook in his posts.

In the time since, Musk and Cook have met up and come to a mutual understanding.

“Good conversation,” Musk said of meeting the Apple CEO. “Among other things, we resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store. Tim was clear that Apple never considered doing so.”

Musk’s takeover of Twitter hasn’t come without its share of controversy. Massive layoffs, unbanning polarizing accounts, and more all culminated in the Telsa CEO being booed on stage with Dave Chappelle on Sunday night in San Francisco.

YNW Melly Is “In Fear Of [His] Life” According To Lengthy IG Posts

Even from behind bars, YNW Melly has been getting desperate messages out to his fans via Instagram. Earlier this month, he publicly pleaded with figures like Joe Biden, Kim Kardashian, and Meek Mill to help him. Now, the Broward County-born star is back with more allegations about the unfortunate treatment he’s enduring while awaiting trial.

“As of this moment today I am officially in fear of my life,” Melly wrote on Monday (December 12) afternoon. “A new Captain named Hubert and XO Jenkins have taken over the jail for two weeks now. They’ve handed out even harsher punishments for me [than] the previous ones in place.”

According to his account, the 23-year-old moved into a housing unit that holds 24 inmates at once. He’s been staying there alone, with no phone privilege, no television, and no access to a newspaper. “They are watching my every move on camera. Making sure I don’t use the phone to tell the world how I am being mistreated, discriminated, threatened physically, harassed,” he alleges.

Additionally, Melly says that on the one hour a day he is let out of his cell, all other inmates in adjoining dorms go to their respective rooms. “I am being subjected to cruel and unusual treatment at the hands of deputies and high-ranking staff of the Broward Sheriff’s Office,” he insists.

“I have been threatened by Deputies, Lieutenants and Sergeants. They say ‘they will hide me from the world’ and threaten to ‘beat my ass every day.’ If I tell my lawyers they will lie and say I hit them first,” the Florida native adds. Specifically, he credits the threats to Sergeant Anthony Kidd and Lieutenant Jean Baptiste.

The staff have apparently succeeded in their goal of hiding him. Now, Melly believes that their next step is “beating [him] half to death.” This is something he says happens “to other inmates almost daily at the main jail” in Broward County.

Shortly after, another message appeared on the “Murder On My Mind” artist’s profile. “I can’t call my family or lawyers to notify them I have been beaten or harassed,” he vents to his fans in this one. “They say my phone privileges are taken permanently because [of] all of the infractions over the last seven months. THAT IS A LIE!”

“They took my phone privileges indefinitely off of my 1st violation for using another inmate’s pin to talk on the phone when I am not allowed to use the phone,” he explains. Additionally, Melly notes that other inmates in the same circumstance would have gotten their privileges back after 30 days, “per the handbook.”

The recording artist is feeling frustration, particularly after seeing others planning escapes and robberies with jail phones and still having their privileges.

“I am housed and surrounded in the care of power-struck deputies and captains of high authority. They’ve even have told me to my face that ‘they don’t like me’ and ‘I pissed them off,’” Melly’s rant goes on. “I am not safe in the hands of these people,” he insists.

He concluded, “I am in fear of my life. My family is in fear of my life. I can not do another day here. Someone, please help me get moved to another county jail until my trial. PLEASE!”

In other recent news, YNW Melly’s mother was recently questioned over alleged witness tampering in her son’s case. Read more about that here, and check back with HNHH later for more news updates.

“A New Diva’s Christmas Carol” Trailer Stars Ashanti, Vivica A. Fox & Eva Marcille: Watch

Christmas is right around the corner. As the most wonderful time of the year quickly approaches, a new festive movie will soon be available for your viewing pleasure.

A New Diva’s Christmas Carol is a new holiday-themed comedy picture. According to ThatGrapeJuice, it tells the story of a “mean-spirited singer.” In an attempt to change her attitude, three ghosts take her on a journey through Christmas’ past, present and future.

The flick is a modern twist on the classic 1843 film, Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

A newly released trailer shows off the star-studded cast. “Foolish” singer Ashanti, actress Vivica A. Fox and TV personality Eva Marcille lead the stacked crew.

Furthermore, Spice Girls member Mel B and Head of the Class actress Robin Givens will also appear in the flick.

None of these personalities are new to providing entertainment tailored to this festive time of year. Ashanti previously starred in Christmas Winter Song, while Fox starred in this year’s Holiday Hideaway.

Additionally, this won’t be Marcille’s first festive role this year either. A few months back she starred in A Christmas Fumble.

In other recent news, Ashanti has been stirring conversations about her intimate performance with ex-lover Nelly. The duo appeared on stage together for Power 98.3 and Power 96.1‘s “Under The Mistletoe” concert just over a week ago.

The production for their collaborative 2008 hit, “Body On Me” was rather steamy. It subsequently caused some fans to take to social media to gossip about their potential reunion.

Even though she’s over two decades into her career as an entertainer, the 42-year-old is certainly staying relevant.

Ashanti’s latest project is finally set to premiere on VH1 on Wednesday (December 14). English actor Idris Elba serves as the executive producer and Rusty Cundieff is directing.

Will you be tuning in to watch A New Diva’s Christmas Carol this holiday season? Let us know in the comments.

Yung Miami & DJ Akademiks Clash Over Diddy Baby Report

After it was announced that Diddy welcomed a daughter back in October, Yung Miami instantly became a trending topic. She and Sean “Diddy” Combs have been canoodling for some time, although they seemed to define their “relationship” as more of a “situationship.” Nevertheless, they’ve been jet-setting from one side of the world to another, and both hitmakers seem to be enjoying their life of luxury together.

The public has been following Diddy and Miami since rumors of their linkup first emerged. However, attention has shifted to a California woman named Dana Tran, who is the alleged mother of Diddy’s newborn daughter. Amid the news, Yung Miami was trolled by the masses, and she didn’t appreciate comments made by DJ Akademiks.

The City Girls star took to Twitter to get a few things off of her chest.

“I’M NOBODY SIDE B*TCH LETS JUST MAKE THIS CLEAR ON THIS GOOD MONDAY! I don’t come 2nd to no b*tch!” she wrote. “Akademiks my name ain’t d*ck so keep it out your mouth!!! You the type of N*gga my uncle doing life sentences for B*TCH ASS N*GGA!!!!! You sit your fat scary ass in the house all day talking online come outside police ass booty boy!”

“It’s cool for a MAN to constantly harass me online that I don’t know! he did the same sh*t when my car got shot up he laughed when I almost lost my life find somebody else to play with! I can react how tf I want to!”

Yung Miami seems content with whatever the situation may be behind the scenes, but she did address critics who claim they “could never.”

“Diddy won’t even look half of y’all b*tches way! Majority off y’all praying upon a falling star b*tch plssssssss!!!!!!!” said Miami. “[And] I’m not mad I’m trending NEXT!”

Akademiks caught wind of Yung Miami’s reaction and tried to suggest she was having a “mental breakdown” online. Even after he said he was “praying for [her] healing,” she checked him. The blogger claimed the rapper sounded like someone who discovered Diddy’s baby news with the rest of the world.

“You don’t even believe that,” Yung Miami responded. “I’m tryna figure out when was I mad or having a mental breakdown 🤔 b*tch I’m in lala land with my feet up smelling my flowers. yall mad. You the one screaming at your screen calling me out my name ponk!”

Meanwhile, more information is being shared about Dana Tran. Diddy kept things enigmatic when he announced the arrival of a baby girl, but internet sleuths are doing all they can to piece this timeline together.

Check out more from Diddy, Yung Miami, and DJ Akademiks above and below.

Diddy’s New Baby Mama’s Identity Revealed: Report

Diddy and Yung Miami have made it clear that they’re not in an exclusive relationship in the past. However, that didn’t stop the world from reacting in shock when Sean Combs revealed that he fathered a child with another woman recently.

Over the weekend, the “Gotta Move On” hitmaker took to Twitter to share an elusive announcement. “I’m so blessed to welcome my baby girl, Love Sean Combs to the world,” he wrote on Saturday. At the time, it remained unclear if the New Yorker was the child’s dad or grandpa, and who the mother is.

Unsurprisingly, internet sleuths have solved the mystery. Thanks to a birth certificate obtained by TMZ, we now know that 28-year-old Dana Tran is the infant’s mom.

The young woman works in the cyber security industry. From what’s been uncovered about her so far, she appears to be a Southern California native. According to the outlet she often goes by Dana Tee on social media. However, it seems as though her Instagram account was recently taken down.

It’s currently unknown how she and Diddy first met, or what the extent of that relationship is. The Bad Boy founder clearly isn’t hiding the new addition to his family, though.

In the latter half of his aforementioned tweet, he added, “Mama Combs, Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, D’Lila, Jessie and myself all love you so much! God is the Greatest!”

Already a father of six, Puff is no stranger to being a parent. Following the death of his ex, Kim Porter, though, the recording artist has been open about how raising teenage girls alone hasn’t been easy on him.

“I was like a part-time father,” he told Yung Miami during their Caresha Please interview earlier this year. “Losing Kim, it was like now I’m a full-time father and my life is really going crazy right now.”

He went on, “Going from just being on the road and stuff to like actually having to raise three girls. I’ve never been in that situation before, I guess God gave me some karma, hit me three times! I’ve got three girls turning 16.”

Check back in with HNHH later for any updates on Diddy’s new baby mama, Dana Tran.

Mark Curry Accuses Colorado Springs Hotel Of Racial Profiling

A Colorado Springs hotel issued an apology after staff appeared to harass comedian Mark Curry in the lobby.

Curry shared a 26-minute clip on Instagram documenting himself at the Mining Exchange in Colorado Springs. The comedian was scheduled for a performance down the street from his hotel. However, within moments of sitting down, two staff members closely approached him with hostility. He explained that one individual, who identified as the head of security, asked if he was a guest at the hotel.

“If you’re Black and you’re in Colorado Springs, you can’t be in the lobby,” Mark Curry said. “Wow! This is crazy, isn’t it?”

At that point, the other staff member accused the Mr. Cooper actor of using the “race card.”

Later on, Curry revealed that the two men were following him as he tried to go to the bathroom. He then told the woman at the front desk that he’d like to contact the police. Afterward, Curry said the man that followed him didn’t provide any sort of identification or a badge.

“I would like to call the police on this guy for following me. I don’t know who he is,” said Curry. At this point, the woman explained that the man was one of their engineers and tried to identify him “for safety.”

“Black man and a Hotel Lobby it’s impossible that he has a room here. No, I have a suite !He walks up to me with no badge on. I don’t know who this man is. And asked to see my hotel key Wyndham racism.719-323-2000 call them pleaseJhon Crab head of security and head of maintenance at the same time,” Curry captioned the Instagram post.

The clip quickly went viral, prompting a response from the hotel. The Mining Exchange rep said they’re “committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for all guests and employees.”

“We deeply regret this incident and have reached out to Mr. Curry to offer not only our sincere apologies but a full refund of his stay and an invitation to return, at no cost, anytime in the future,” the company continued in their statement. They added they’re also “using this opportunity to revisit training with our staff, helping to ensure all interactions are reflective of our company values.”
