Yung Miami Reacts To Diddy Comparing Her To Oprah: “He Knows My Potential”

Yung Miami responded to Diddy’s recent comments in which he compared her to Oprah in a post on her Instagram Story. She remarked that the iconic music mogul is going to be the one to push her to get there. Diddy made the comparison while speaking with Billboard for a recent interview.

Nipsey Hussle, to me, was that young Puff version,” Diddy began. “But one person that I can say right now is Travis Scott. I can relate to how he’s diversifying his portfolio and really understanding how to take it to the next level.”  From there, he added: “I also think Yung Miami [aka Caresha Brownlee] from the City Girls. She reminds me of Oprah with the endless possibilities that she has as far as her clothing line, television shows, performances, live podcasts. I really respect both of their hustles and see them being able to break through.”

Miami shared the comments on her Instagram page afterward. “Had to repost this again causeeeeee yeah puff,” she captioned the post. “He knows my potential and he’s gonna push me there!” Miami and Diddy have been in a romantic relationship for over a year now. Rumors had circulated about their breakup earlier in the year, but Diddy put them to rest by bringing Miami to the Met Gala in May.

Then, prior to the release of his new project, The Love Album, Diddy hosted an episode of Love Radio with Miami for Apple Music. “I have an island,” Diddy explained on the show. “This is just for inspirational motivation. You don’t know a lot of Black men that come from the hood that got an island.”

Diddy Believes Yung Miami Will Be Like Oprah Winfrey

During a recent interview, Diddy gave his thoughts on what he thinks the next generation of hip-hop moguls will look like. Of course, considering his extensive business portfolio and profile in both realms, few are as qualified, experienced, and successful when it comes to their predictions. Moreover, it also comes as no surprise that the Bad Boy head honcho would compare a billionaire-to-be with one of the most adorned media figures ever. Furthermore, he compared Yung Miami to Oprah, and said that she’ll one day match her status in her own lane and become a rap billionaire. Clearly, Sean Combs has a lot of faith and support for his on-and-off-again flame.

Nipsey Hussle, to me, was that young Puff version,” Diddy remarked of a question about which rising stars could become business titans like him one day. “But one person that I can say right now is Travis Scott. I can relate to how he’s diversifying his portfolio and really understanding how to take it to the next level.” Then, he evoked Oprah while describing the City Girl, speaking specifically on their various media outlets.

Diddy Dishes On The Rap Billionaires Of Tomorrow

“I also think Yung Miami [real name Caresha Brownlee] from the City Girls,” Diddy continued. “She reminds me of Oprah with the endless possibilities that she has as far as her clothing line, television shows, performances, live podcasts. I really respect both of their hustles and see them being able to break through.” Of course, this isn’t a bad prediction to make at all, considering the success of the Caresha Please podcast and the Florida native’s other business endeavors. In fact, this is a timely comparison to make, as she recently (and hilariously) revealed what NSFW question she would ask Oprah.

Meanwhile, the next class of rap billionaires might look very different, but that’s the exciting nature of conversations like these. It seems like there are more people than ever poised to claim a spot, as the genre continues to grow and expand its reach. Who do you think will be the next Jay-Z? Let us know in the comments and stick around on HNHH for the latest updates on Diddy, Yung Miami, and Oprah.

Oprah Denies Taking Ozempic to Lose Weight: ‘That’s the Easy Way Out’

Screen Shot 2023 09 22 at 9.37.12 AM

Oprah Winfrey recently denied reports that she’s taking popular Ozempic injections to lose weight. Fand noticed the mogul recently dropped a lot of weight and wondered if Oprah gave in to the current weight loss trend.

In a recent discussion about obesity during her “The State of Weight” panel, Oprah shared that she thought about taking Ozempic, which is prescribed for people with type 2 diabetes.

“Shouldn’t we all just be more accepting of whatever body you choose to be in? That should be your choice,” Oprah said during the panel. “Even when I first started hearing about the weight loss drugs, at the same time I was going through knee surgery, and I felt, ‘I’ve got to do this on my own.’ Because if I take the drug, that’s the easy way out.’”

Oprah also admitted she lost weight by hiking and eating healthy food while recovering from knee surgery last year.

“I had knee surgery in August, and then I had another knee surgery in November,” she said. “When I came home the first time, I literally could not lift my leg. I couldn’t lift my heel off of the bed, and I vowed if I was ever able to get up, walk around, and move again — that I would take advantage of movement, exercise, and of being able to be fully in my body.”

Battling weight gain her entire career, Oprah once infamously talked about being shamed for being overweight. “This is a world that has shamed people for being overweight forever, and all of us who have lived it know that people treat you differently, they just do,” Oprah said to USA TODAY. “I’m Oprah Winfrey, and I know all that comes with that, but I get treated differently if I’m 200-plus pounds versus under 200 pounds.”

Yung Miami Shares NSFW Answer To What She Would Ask Oprah

Late last month, Yung Miami grabbed fans’ attention for her comments about Oprah. In a clip previewing her appearance on Drink Champs, she declared herself “The Black Oprah.” While she was quick to clarify that she did know Oprah herself was in fact also black, it still rubbed some fans the wrong way. Miami claimed that she made the comments because Oprah wasn’t perceived as being black in the same way she was. Now her full episode of Drink Champs is out and it features even more discussion about the legendary TV personality.

In the interview, they ask Yung Miami what one question she would ask Oprah if she had the chance. While she doesn’t exactly give a straight answer, it’s clear what she implies. After trying a few different ways to find a way to phrase her NSFW question she just gives up on it. Despite not actually getting it out everyone on the show knows what she’s trying to say and the resulting laughter is fitting. Fans in the comments, however, didn’t find it as funny. “Terrible interview, I’m tired of caresha trying to be that girl. Oprah would not give her the time of day to ask any nasty questions,” reads one of the top comments. “Stupidity. She can’t even string together a sentence. What an insult to Queen Oprah,” remarks another.

Yung Miami’s One Question For Oprah

Much of the news surrounding Yung Miami recently came from comments she made about the Carlee Russell situation. The viral case got plenty of attention so it’s no surprise that she delivered her own thoughts. “Carlee dead a*s wrong! Ion get it like it’s already hard for black ppl and shit like this just make it harder smh.”

Her comments caused quite a bit of a stir and had people online discussing the double standards she brought up. One of those who chimed in is Blueface’s mother who started a small beef with Yung Miami as a result. What do you think of Yung Miami’s one choice of question to ask Oprah? Let us know in the comment section below.

Yung Miami Dubs Herself “The Black Oprah”

Yung Miami first rose to fame thanks to her work alongside JT in the City Girls. Since then, the Florida native has never been one to put herself in a box. Rather, she’s only further explored new avenues since reaching superstardom. Among them are acting in BMF and Netflix’s You People. In addition, she’s been hosting her own REVOLT podcast series, Caresha Please. Not everyone was impressed with her skills as an actress (that doesn’t mean she can’t improve with dedication and coaching). However, as a media personality, Miami has succeeded with flying colours.

Not only do the “Twerkulator” artist’s distinct voice and never-ending clever catchphrases keep us laughing, but she also has a knack for developing strong chemistry with guests. Among the most noteworthy interviews she’s done so far include Diddy, Megan Thee Stallion, and G Herbo. While she’s most comfortable asking the questions, it seems the mother of two will sit on the hot seat on another REVOLT series, Drink Champs, in the coming weeks. As TMZ reports, it remains unclear when we’ll hear the rap diva’s discussion with DJ EFN and NORE. Still, a brief snippet online proves that it’s sure to be full of comedy gold.

Yung Miami is in Her Oprah Era

“I’m the Black Oprah,” Miami declares in the clip above, understandably causing confusion. She then quickly admits that she knows the renowned journalist has the same colour skin as her. Afterward, the 29-year-old seemingly suggests that because Oprah carries herself in a more “proper” manner, she may be perceived as less Black in the world’s eyes. When the full episode drops on YouTube, we’ll likely receive more clarity on the point the fashionista was trying to make.

Elsewhere in the news, Miami received backlash earlier this month after a video of her son at Rolling Loud surfaced. While some internet users expressed concern about the 10-year-old throwing money at dancers, the City Girl made it clear she doesn’t play when it comes to her children. Read what Caresha had to say at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

[WATCH] Oprah Reveals Gayle King Is The Only Person To Ever Gift Her A Shopping Spree

Screen Shot 2023 06 04 at 2.37.07 AM

Back in March bestfriend moguls Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King traveled to Jordan for the ultimate girl’s trip. Labeling their vacation as the trip of a lifetime, Oprah also surprised her fans by revealing she received a gift she’s never gotten before—a shopping spree at her favorite store! In a video chat about their trip, Oprah shared that the shopping spree is something she’s done countless times for others, but has never had done for her.

Oprah posted to her Instagram:

Visited Jordan this week and there was so much to see and experience! We visited the site where John the Baptist baptized Jesus, Petra and all its fascinations, camels, and the spot where the big boulder comes rolling out of Indiana Jones. So much history there in the “Rose City,” voted one of the 7 new wonders of the world. It takes 3 days to really see it all we only spent 3 hours. Put it on your must see list if you haven’t already! 🇯🇴

Gayle shared on her page:
Oh what a weekend … Petra … camels and one of the highlights: a Dead Sea float and mud bath ….as Oprah often tells me we have different ideas of fun … but in the end a great time was had by all… I see why the sign when you leave the airport says. Welcome to sweet Jordan ! Can’t wait to go back !!! Thanx to @derrick4mkup and @gmodeste for playing 🇯🇴

Nothing like a good ole’ girlfriend!

Ari Lennox Issued Another Apology To Oprah And Gayle King For Her ‘Wretched’ And ‘Ignorant’ 2020 Instagram Live Comments

Ari Lennox developed a cult-like following for her soulful songs and her addictive Instagram Live streams. Some of her sessions made it onto her album, while others have landed her in hot water, including comments she made about media moguls Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King. So the “Waste My Time” singer took to Twitter to issue a second apology to the women.

“I sincerely apologize to Oprah and Gayle. Y’all legends didn’t deserve that wretched ignorant live,” wrote the musician.

In her original livestream, Lennox was angry at King for her line of questioning during an interview with basketball player Lisa Leslie about the legacy of her late friend and fellow professional athlete Kobe Bryant.

“F*ck Gayle and f*ck Oprah,” the singer yelled. “Y’all are some self-hating pieces of sh*t f*ck asses. If I’ve never seen a c*on more f*cking c*onier than goddamn Kale and Okra. I’m over y’all.”

Before her apology, Lennox revealed the reason she stepped back from holding livestreams, saying, “I can be a b*tch sometimes. Just putting it out there. Not always proud of those moments, but sometimes I am.”

Reflecting on her decision to stop livestreaming, the entertainer confessed,” I have been naive, a sheep, a people pleaser battling traumas and codependency. I was one mindlessly and unintentionally spreading false information in order to impress people. My lives were a playground on top of a fiery hell. I was simply unaware of the damage I was causing. So while some of those lives represent a sweet, free, and even seemingly happier or more confident girl, I was lost and insecure. No self-awareness and so unhappy. Addicted to entertaining others so I didn’t have to face my own reality.”

Closing the thread, Lennox wrote, “So, in conclusion, that’s why there are no more IG lives from me, and prayerfully won’t be. They’re too addicting (for me), and I just don’t enjoy tap dancing at the expense of my mental health.”

Oprah Gains Neighbors’ Ire Over Flood Wall

Despite famously being a warm, dry state forever plagued by drought, California is also prone to flooding. January 2023 was especially bad for the state, with Governor Gavin Newsome and President Joe Biden going as far as to declare a state of emergency. San Francisco, Oakland, and Santa Barbara were the worst affected, all getting at least 12 inches of rainwater. Santa Barbara County also experienced mass evacuations due to the severity of the flooding.

Flooding is especially bad in low-lying areas, such as Santa Barbara County. The city sits just 49 feet above sea level and is often one of the worst affected places by flooding. This is exacerbated by the nearby San Ysidro Creek. Notable incidents include this year’s flooding forcing the evacuation of several celebrities and a deadly mudslide in 2018. However, flooding is causing tension amongst some members of the affluent Montecito neighborhood.

Oprah’s Neighbors Worry About Flood Wall Ramifications

Montecito sits just over five miles east of Santa Barbara. Once a haven of banditry, it became a haven for the wealthy at the turn of the 20th Century. It is now best known as being the county’s celebrity town, with many familiar faces making Montecito their home. Ellen famously did some of her pandemic shows from her home in Montecito. Another of these famous faces is Oprah, who moved to her “Promised Land” estate in 2001. However, Oprah’s less famous neighbors are beginning to raise concerns after a boulder wall was installed on her property.

The problem, her neighbors claim, is that the wall protects Oprah’s estate from future flooding…by diverting the water on their property. It is unclear if Oprah ordered the wall’s installation. However, Jimenez Nursery used her address on the necessary Army Corps of Engineers permit request. Additionally, there are concerns about the wall itself. Some have voiced fears that the wall may not actually withstand floodwaters like the ones seen earlier this year. This would not only void the purpose of the wall but potentially cause greater damage if the boulders were washed away. It’s unclear if this will stay at simple neighbor complaints, or if further action will be taken.

Mo’Nique Still Demands Apology From Tyler Perry & Oprah

She’s back on track after allegedly being blackballed by the industry, and Mo’Nique is demanding her recompense. For years, Mo’Nique has been open about the tension involving Tyler Perry, Lee Daniels, and Oprah Winfrey. She claims she was tagged with the reputation of being difficult to deal with and insisted the trio was behind a plot to stifle her career. There has been silence from Winfrey’s camp, and Perry seemed to acknowledge Mo’Nique’s criticisms. Eventually, Daniels emerged with a public apology and interrupted one of Mo’Nique’s shows to deliver.

After mending past rifts, Daniels cast the Oscar-winning actress in BET+’s The Reading. The pair, who also worked on Precious together, caught up with The Hollywood Reporter and detailed their reunion. “Not only did I want to reach out to her, but I realized I wanted to work with her again. It’s crazy, sometimes, how life is.” When he called, it had been 13 years since Mo’Nique spoke with him. Daniels had been editing a film that Mo’Nique worked on years prior, and it reminded him of how talented she was.

Mo’Nique and Lee Daniels Come To Terms

“He was like, ‘OK, so I want to talk to you about this part.’ I said, ‘Lee, we can’t talk about a part until we talk.’ And he was like, ‘I know.’ And then we had a real conversation. That was the moment that he said, ‘I’m going to apologize to you and your family for anything I’ve done to hurt y’all.’” He decided to do it on a public platform that would undoubtedly be recorded and shared with the world. “There was no way that I was not going to apologize for anything that she thought that I did to her.”

“I don’t know if it’s ever been done in history — that a big Hollywood director came out and apologized to an actress for a wrongdoing,” said Mo’Nique. Daniels added, “I’m just happy to have my friend back.” However, the actress still “demands” an apology from Winfrey and Perry. She also touched on her beef with D.L. Hughley that erupted after she claimed he was upset about her receiving equal top billing at a comedy show. Amid the controversy, and after mentioning the abuse Hughley’s daughter endured, Mo’Nique stood by her comments.

Yung Miami’s Aspiration To Be The ‘Black Oprah’ Has Fans Giggling Because There Is Already One

Look, man. We’ve all been there; we meant to say one word and said another. Or perhaps we added an adjective where there wasn’t supposed to be one. It happens to the best of us — even celebrities. The difference between them and us civilians, though, is that their miscues get turned into memes and run into the ground on Twitter. City Girls rapper Yung Miami is finding that out now, as the Caresha Please host’s recent comments about her aspirations for the new talk show have fans chuckling at her expense.

In a new interview with XXL, Miami says her goal with the podcast/talk show is “to take it to the next level. I want to be — I think she has a podcast now — a person like Wendy Williams. I’m dreaming big. I want to go to the highest of the highest. I want to be the Black Oprah.” Of course, daytime talk legend Oprah Winfrey is famously already Black — a big part of the reason she’s so notable is being the first Black woman with her impressive list of accomplishments — so fans have been pretty merciless in roasting Miami’s faux pas, understandable as it is. (As an editor, I’m putting the blame on XXL. You have to edit the quotes, too!)

Some are sarcastically making the quote a commentary of Oprah’s appeal to universal audiences (read: mainstream white ones), while others are taking the opportunity to point out Oprah’s less-than-solicitous stance on hip-hop. Miami herself, though, is taking the hilarity in stride, tweeting “Black Oprah” and “The next (((Black))) Oprah!” to keep the conversation going. Check out some of the responses below.
