Nicki Minaj’s Husband Said His Attempted Rape Victim Was A ‘Willing Participant’
More than three months after Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty were sued for harassment byJennifer Hough, who accused the latter of rape, Petty has made a new public statement on the matter. He claims that his interaction with Hough was consensual and insists that he did not rape her. Court documents obtained by XXL say that “Defendant [Petty] denies that he ever raped Plaintiff [Hough] and Defendant denies all of Plaintiff’s allegations of improper conduct and/or sexual assault.” It continues, “Rather, the sexual encounter between Plaintiff and Defendant was consensual and Plaintiff was a willing participant.”
The document continues, “Petty pled guilty to attempted rape, despite his innocence, because he was a scared 16-year-old kid and was told that his sentence would be 20 years to life if he did not plead guilty to attempted rape.” The 1995 conviction led to the New York State Board of Examiners of Sex Offenders’ decision to designate him as a Level 2 offender. However, in late 2019 he was arrested for failing to register as an offender, a charge he pled guilty to in September of this year. He faces a maximum sentence of ten years in prison and a lifetime of supervised release.
Hough’s attorney Tyrone A. Blackburn issued a response to XXL about Petty’s comments. “A willing participant would not run 20 blocks to school after a sexual encounter and tell the school security/police that she was raped,” Blackburn said. “If Petty believed Ms. Hough was a willing participant he should have never plead guilty to attempted rape.”
Petty’s comments come after a judge ruled that Nicki Minaj would not have to pay a $20 million judgment in the harassment case.

Nicki Minaj Follows Cardi B As The Second-Ever Female Rapper To Have A Diamond-Certified Song
Back in March, Cardi B achieved a huge milestone: She became the first-ever female rapper to have a solo song be certified Diamond, meaning it garnered over 10 million sales in the US. Now, a few months later, Cardi’s predecessor has followed her achievement. Nicki Minaj’s 2010 track “Super Bass” just hit 10 million sales, meaning she’s the second-ever female rapper to have a song be Diamond-certified.
“Super Bass” originally appeared on the deluxe version of Minaj’s debut album Pink Friday, nearly a decade ago. Now celebrating its new Diamond status, Minaj took to social media to share her gratitude. She posted a video of the official Diamond certification plaque, which is encrusted with shimmering rhinestones and features a photo of Minaj from the “Super Bass” single art. In the post’s caption, the rapper thanked her fans for a “decade of support” and even gave Taylor Swift a special shout-out. “Thank you for over a decade of support,” she wrote. “(special thx to Ester Dean, Kane, Juice, Taylor Swift, Sofia Grace & Rosie, Ellen, Young Money/Cash Money & Republic. This one was released b4 the streaming era, so millions of fans actually purchased the song. I’m so grateful for you guys. Sending love & blessings your way.”

Here’s A Teaser Clip Of Nicki Minaj Entering ‘The Real Housewives Of Potomac’ Reunion
As previously announced back in July, Nicki Minaj will be taking the place of regular host Andy Cohen for one of the biggest housewives reunions this year. The Real Housewives Of Potomac need a stabilizing force like the Sagittarius energy Minaj brings to the table (yes, obviously I’m bringing up astrology and Housewives in the same post, sue me) and that’s exactly what they’re going to get. Though we don’t yet know what all is going to go down in what are often very dramatic rehashes of the season, it’s now clear that Minaj will be part of it.
In a dramatic teaser clip, all the ladies react to Minaj walking into the set:

The longer trailer shows that Andy will definitely be involved as a host and moderator for some of the reunion, which stretches to a whopping four parts (!) but ends with the clip of Nicki walking in, that’s excerpted above. Check out the full trailer here:

This will be a more positive moment for Minaj, who has been embroiled in a not-so-great moment for her collaboration with Jesy Nelson, “Boyz.” The former Little Mix member has been accused of “blackfishing” in the clip, and though Nicki has defended her, most of the internet agrees that Nelson’s portrayal was offensive.
We’ll see if Nicki can steer the topic away from herself and her own drama while she moderates this reunion.

Elton John, Young Thug, And Nicki Minaj Commit To A Lifelong Partnership On ‘Always Love You’
Just like a lot of artists around the world in a number of genres, Elton John spent his time in quarantine working on a plethora of new music. As a result, the legendary singer decided to create a project out of the songs he made during that time, one he titled The Lockdown Sessions. He announced the project at the beginning of September, and today, it’s available for fans to listen to. Across the project’s sixteen songs, a highlight appears on “Always Love You” with Young Thug and Nicki Minaj. The track sees the trio committing to a lifelong partnership with individuals they’ve deemed perfect to spend a lifetime with.
Prior to releasing The Lockdown Sessions, Elton John shared a number of singles to build up anticipation for the project. They include “Finish Line, “After All,” and a remix of “Cold Heart.” Altogether, the project also sees appearances from Dua Lipa, Surfaces, Charlie Puth, Rina Sawayama, Gorillaz, 6lack, Miley Cyrus, SG Lewis, Brandi Carlile, Jimmie Allen, Stevie Wonder, Eddie Vedder, Stevie Nicks, and more.
While “Always Love You” marks the first song between Elton and Minaj, it’s the second record between him and Young Thug following their 2018 track “High,” which sampled the singer’s hit song “Rocket Man.”
