Darris Love Arrested On Christmas, Nickelodeon Alum Accused Of Domestic Violence

The holidays are a time of cheer for many, however, they can’t go over smoothly in every home across the world. Surprisingly, this holiday season has seen a sudden surge in outbursts from former child stars in particular. Just days after the arrest of Disney star Orlando Brown in Ohio, a former Nickelodeon actor, Darris Love, is facing similar charges.

According to TMZ, The Secret Life of Alex Mack star was arrested on Christmas Eve in Los Angeles. LAPD sources tell the outlet that they went to his home just before noon yesterday (December 24).

Upon arrival, Love’s girlfriend spoke with authorities. Specifically, she told them she was going to the actor’s house to pick some things up. Before leaving, an argument broke out between them. She alleges that her partner hit in in the back of the head. Sources say there were no obvious injuries or visible marks upon closer investigation.

Police spoke with both the man and woman and ultimately, he was arrested and booked for misdemeanour domestic violence.

Love spent approximately 10 hours behind bars. Afterward, he was able to post a $20,000 bond and return to his residence. A rep for The Shield actor hasn’t responded to TMZ‘S request for comment.

Aside from the previously mentioned roles, you may also recognize the 42-year-old from shows like ER, Shameless, CSI, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Elsewhere in the news, Orlando Brown’s arrest continues to make waves. The That’s So Raven entertainer is under arrest after a domestic dispute a few days ago.

Since then, his victim has come forward as a friend and the director of a film he was cast in. Now, however, the 35-year-old is no longer living with his roommate and boss. Additionally, he would have to enter treatment to earn his spot in the movie back.

Nickelodeon x Puma MB.02 “Slime” Coming Soon: Photos

Nickelodeon is one of the biggest brands in the world when it comes to children’s television. They are responsible for delivering hundreds of hours of entertainment to our younger selves, and to this day, they remain a strong brand. Overall, Nickelodeon is still going strong, and now, they are teaming up with Puma.

In fact, this Puma collaboration is being facilitated by the likes of LaMelo Ball. LaMelo has his very own signature shoe, the Puma MB.02. Now, the children’s television network will get its own MB.02 colorway. Appropriately, this new colorway is going to be called “Slime.”

One of Nickelodeon’s most iconic tropes is the slime that it hits celebrities with during the Kids Choice Awards. Additionally, there are various shows on the network that use this slapstick as a tool of sorts. Now, the iconic green slime is being placed on this LaMelo signature in a way that will get fans excited.

As you can see below, the shoe begins with a a green and yellow base. Green is mostly found on the bottom, while yellow is more found at the top. There is a green slime graphic emanating from the toe box, as well as the wings on the sides. This makes for a dope look that speaks to the aesthetics of the network.

Overall, this is going to be a colorway that truly appeals to collectors. If you love Nickelodeon and you love LaMelo Ball, this is truly a match made in heaven. Only time will tell whether or not more similar colorways make their way to the market.

Nickelodeon Announces Its First-Ever Music Festival, Featuring The Kid Laroi, Beabadoobee, And More

Nickelodeon has long had a strong connection to music. Successful artists like Ariana Grande and Nick Cannon got their starts on the network, and Nick regularly gets top-tier performers to take the stage at the Kids’ Choice Awards, like Kid Cudi and Jack Harlow did a few months ago. Now, they’re getting into the music festival game: Yesterday, they announced NickFest, their first-ever music festival.

The inaugural edition is set to go down on October 22 and 23 at Los Angeles’ Rose Bowl and tickets are set to go on sale on July 26 at 10 a.m. PT. The event will feature headlining performances from The Kid Laroi and Monsta X. Other highlights from the lineup across its three stages include Beabadoobee, Kyle, 24kGoldn, Joshua Bassett, G Flip, and Alec Benjamin.

Beyond the music, there are also set to be “special experiences” featuring some of the network’s hottest current franchises, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and The Loud House. On top of that, there will also be “appearances by” beloved Nick characters past and present, like SpongeBob‘s Patrick Star, Chuckie Finster and Tommy Pickles from Rugrats, Cosmo and Wanda from The Fairly Odd-Parents, Dora The Explorer, Avatar Aang from Avatar, and others.

The NickFest website describes the event, “NickFest is the messiest music festival ever. A 2-day extravaganza of music’s biggest acts, Nickelodeon characters and stars IRL, family-friendly activities and experiences, exceptional food, and a ridiculous amount of slime. Lovers of Nick nostalgia will be in heaven. Kids will have a blast. And moms and dads will earn the most ‘cool parent’ points allowed by law. Whether you’re 5 or 105 — get ready to let your Nick flag fly!”

Jack Harlow Performed His Not-So-Kid-Friendly Hits And Got Slimed At Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards

Jack Harlow is slowly but surely emerging as one of the big new stars in hip-hop for 2022. Strategic moves like collaborating with Lil Nas X on the No. 1 hit “Industry Baby” and his latest viral single, “First Class,” which samples Fergie’s classic “G.L.A.M.O.R.O.U.S.” have him well on his way to superstardom. With his sophomore album slated to drop in just a few short weeksr oh and the “Nail Tech” in the meantime, Harlow is gaining the kind of momentum that every artist wants to have before an album release.

And tonight, he doubled down on that movement with an appearance at one of the hottest stages — Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards. Now, before you want to knock the KCAs, keep in mind, most of the stars we know and love today did their time on the KCA circuit! Kids grow up to be cultural harbingers in just a few short years, so winning them over young can be a key factor for artists like Harlow who are still emerging.

Kid Cudi And Jack Harlow Want To Get Slimed When They Perform At The 2022 Kids’ Choice Awards

Kid Cudi and Jack Harlow both have nominations at this weekend’s Grammy Awards and it turns out they’ll both be busy next weekend, too: Billboard reports they’re going to perform at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards (hosted by Miranda Cosgrove and Rob Gronkowski) next Saturday, April 9.

Billboard notes Cudi will perform a medley of his new Sonic The Hedgehog 2 single “Stars In The Sky” and his 2010 classic “Pursuit Of Happiness.”

Cudi said in a statement, “I can’t believe my late 30-something butt gets to party at the Kids’ Choice Awards! I grew up loving Nickelodeon and it’s been a dream of mine to get slimed.” Harlow offered a similar statement, saying, “I grew up on Nickelodeon so to be nominated AND perform at the Kids’ Choice Awards is crazy. Here’s to hoping I get slimed!”

Harlow has a nomination at this year’s ceremony, as he’s up for Favorite Breakout Artist against Chlöe, Glass Animals, Olivia Rodrigo, Saweetie, and Walker Hayes. As for who leads the music nominations, Taylor Swift and Adele each have four nods in various categories. This year’s first-time music nominees include Rodrigo, Saweetie, The Kid Laroi, and Doja Cat.

Cardi B To Guest-Star On “Baby Shark’s” Series As ‘Sharki B’

Cardi B is set to guest star on Nickelodeon’s Baby Shark’s Big Show.

The 29-year-old “Bodak Yellow” rapper will be joined by both her husband Offset and daughter Kulture on the episode, which will air April 15th.

The character Cardi will play will be named Sharki B, fittingly. A press release from Billboard describes Sharki B as “the biggest star in the seven seas. Flashy, awe-inspiring, and ruthlessly fun—but always 100% herself.”

The whole family landed the animated gig on the special episode “The Seaweed Sway,” airing air April 15th. Offset will voice ‘Offshark’ described as, “a cool fish with a great vibe and a huge Sharki fan,” and Kulture will voice Kulture Shark ‘Offshark’s three-year-old daughter who is excited to attend Sharki’s big concert with her dad.
