Young Thug’s Preteen Daughter Mego Drops Fiery New Song

Young Thug’s family is undoubtedly dealing with a lot right now. The rapper is currently behind bars, where he’s been for over two years now, and on trial for RICO charges. The trial has been the longest in Georgia history and reportedly has the potential to run into 2025.

Fortunately, it looks like Young Thug’s incarceration hasn’t stopped his children from pursuing their dreams. His daughter Mego YSL even recently dropped off a new song, which just goes to show how much she’s taken after her father. In it, she spits menacing bars directed at her opps, and more. It’s not the first track fans have heard from the pre-teen, however.

Young Thug’s Daughter Mego YSL Continues To Show Off Her Rap Skills

At the end of 2020, she also unveiled two singles on YouTube, “They Listen a Lot” and “Do What I Can.” The tracks sparked similarly mixed reactions from fans at the time. While some argue that some of the subject matter in Mego’s music isn’t age-appropriate, others aren’t bothered by it, and point out how much potential she has. Either way, it looks like Mego is committed to honing her craft. This is far from the only rapper’s child to try out rapping for themselves. Lil Wayne’s son, Diddy’s sons, and more have also made headlines for their musical endeavors in the past.

Earlier this year, for example, Lil Wayne’s 14-year-old son Neal previewed a new song on Triller. His experimental style prompted comparisons to Playboi Carti and Yeat, though again, not everyone was comfortable with the subject matter. What do you think of Young Thug’s daughter dropping off a new song? How is it sounding so far? Do you think she could have a future in rap? Fivio Foreign Turns Up On Braggadocios New Song “Living Legend”

Fivio Foreign is an artist who has completely taken over the New York drill crown. Overall, it was a crown that once belonged to Pop Smoke. However, following his unfortunate passing, the scene was looking for a star to uphold the mantle. Fivio was the one to do it and his verse on “Off The Grid” is what truly helped him ascend to superstardom. Since that time, the artist has been consistent with his releases, from singles to projects. He continues to impress, and his following has remained steady.

Today, Fivio dropped off a new track simply called “Living Legend.” As the title would suggest, this is a fairly braggadocios cut in which Fivio can be heard reaffirming how he got to where he is in the music industry. It’s a song that is meant to uplift, and the New York drill production certainly helps with that goal. While Fivio has been subjected to online ridicule at times, he simply does not care. He knows he has it all right now, and for him, that is all that should matter.

Let us know what you think of this new track from Fivio Foreign, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that this is one of his best songs? 070 Shake Takes Fans On Hypnotic Ride With “Winter Baby/New Jersey Baby”

070 Shake is a truly singular artist. Nobody sounds like her, and nobody could sound like her if they tried. The rapper/vocalist has a unique style and is able to blend different styles in a way that defies genre. Her breakout turn on Kanye West’s “Ghost Town” remains her sonic calling card, but 070 Shake’s new song is proof that she has musical ideas for days. “Winter Baby/New Jersey Baby” is the first single from her upcoming debut album, Petrichor, and it takes listeners on a journey. Fusing two different melodies, the song manages to showcase 070 Shake at her most catchy and most experimental.

The first part of “Winter Baby/New Jersey Baby” is ripped straight out of the 1960s. The refrain of the titular phrase, and the crackling, retro production makes it sound like an unearthed torch song from the girl group era. It’s the sort of sound that most artists would sample, but 070 Shake is able to replicate it from scratch. “Winter Baby” is the catchiest portion of the song, but “New Jersey Baby” takes things in a fascinating and bold direction. It adopts an acoustic, campfire song structure right out of the 1970s folk scene. 070 Shake manages to pull from disparate eras while still making the song sound inherently her own. We can’t wait to hear the rest of the album.

Let us know what you think of this brand-new track, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

F1 Team Uses Unreleased Kendrick Lamar Snippet In New Promo Video

The world is still waiting on Kendrick Lamar to drop new music. The Compton set the world on fire with “Not Like Us” and its accompanying video. Those who watched closely, though, know that Dot played a snippet of an unreleased song at the beginning of the video. The snippet was wildly catchy, and featured a sample of a classic 80s single. It’s been months without any update on the snippet, but that didn’t stop the Mercedes F1 team from using it to their advantage. The team weaved the snippet into a social media promo for their drivers.

The video, which was posted on Instagram, sees the Mercedes F1 team in action while Lamar raps. It’s a pretty slick melding of sight and sound. It may seem a bit random, combining racing with rap, but there’s actually a precedent with regards to Kendrick Lamar. Lewis Hamilton, the star driver on Mercedes, posed for a photoshoot in on October 14. The photoshoot saw the driver pose sitting down, front of a white and red flag. It was a striking pose on its own merits, but what really caught fans off guard is the tribute that was being paid to Kendrick Lamar.

Hamilton’s pose and color scheme was a direct reference to Lamar’s Super Bowl announcement video. The Compton rapper confirmed he was playing the 2025 Halftime Show by posing with a football and sitting in front of a white and red flag. The irony is that Lewis Hamilton was actually linked to Kendrick Lamar’s opponent, Drake, during the start of the beef.

Bow Wow Claims His Upcoming Collab Single With Chris Brown Is “Timeless”

Bow Wow has been quiet on the music front for a long time. Seriously, a long time. The rapper’s last album was in 2009, but he has been promising fans that he has one more in him. Before 30 was the title he teased back in 2021. There haven’t been any singles or confirmed rollout plans as of yet. At least, not until October 13. Bow Wow sat down for an appearance More to the Podcast, and revealed some crucial information about the album. The rapper will be reuniting with his former collaborator, Chris Brown, for a new single.

“Me and Chris have a dope… I believe a timeless record,” Bow Wow explained. The rapper noted that he hasn’t worked with Chris Brown since “Ain’t Think About You” in 2010, and wanted to make sure the new song would be worth the wait. “It took us so long,” he continued. Bow Wow also noted that him and Chris Brown are still friends, and have simply not gotten in the studio due to unfortunate timing. “We don’t look at it like it’s work,” he explained. “I think that’s the friendship and the camaraderie is so authentic… When I did the record, Hitmaka was like, ‘Dawg, you gotta call him.’” Bow Wow admitted that the urging of guys in his circle ultimately convinced him to reach out to Breezy.

Bow Wow Claimed Breezy Took A While To Record

“It’s a moment,” he admitted. “I sent the record to bro, he was playing me some records.” The process of getting Chris Brown on the chorus of the song proved trickier than Bow Wow anticipated, though. A trip to L.A. to get in the studio with the pop superstar resulted in a multi-day hang out in which the two men hung out and watched YouTube. “We still don’t do the record,” he recalled while laughing. “I’m like cool, I’m on a time [crunch], I really came out to L.A. to get this record done.” Bow Wow was frustrated that he went home after three days without the feature. At least, initially. By the time the rapper got home, Chris Brown has laid down the chorus and sent it over.

“He sent that file… Outta here,” Bow Wow recalled. “I got chills. I’m like nah, this is crazy. You just got to let him vibe.” The rapper then conceded that different artists have different approaches to making music, and each of them need to be approached differently. “If you want the best out of somebody, you gotta understand they got their own little thing, how they get down,” he concluded. No release date on the new song, but we definitely hope to hear this “timeless” collab sooner than later.

Rod Wave Wants To Find Real Love On “25”

Rod Wave might have another number one album incoming with Last Lap. The St. Petersburg, Florida rapper and singer dropped of his sixth studio effort this past weekend after a tandem of singles and a tour announcement. The formula hasn’t really changed for the 26-year-old on this project, but it contains some real quality and some slight improvements on his method to some degree. Take for example “25,” which sees Rod Wave grapple with a relatable issue that a lot of people his age deal with today. If you are single in today’s current dating climate, you may be able to resonate with his message.

Wave deals with feelings of depressing solitude and crippling social anxiety. Those stem from how he’s tired of how this generation handles relationships. For those who are unaware, a lot of people in this age range tend to not treat them with as much care as they probably should. Social media is a major factor because it gives everyone the illusion that there could be something better out there. It seems that Rod is having those same problems, as he comes across as a hopeless romantic on “25.” He yearns for that true love given where he’s at in his life, and he also wonders to himself whether or not he’s ever going to find that. The relatability on this one makes it a standout, but it’s also his pained vocals and ear-grabbing melody that contribute to us revisiting this one more and more.

GloRilla Shows She Has A Soft Side On T-Pain-Assisted “I LUV HER”

One of the reasons why GloRilla is GloRilla is because of her gritty and scrappy nature. She’s unapologetic when it comes to her behavior, and if you don’t like, you know where the door is. Her turnt party cuts and self-empowering big girl anthems are why she’s been able to grow her audience every year. The Memphis native has an identity and it’s bolstered by her booming delivery. You are getting plenty of tracks like that on her debut album GLORIOUS, but she’s also showing that she has a tender side. One of those instances in which GloRilla displaying that is on her T-Pain collaboration, “I LUV HER.”

Here, she is expressing her willingness to let her guard down, even though it can be hard at times. “I know I can get a lil’ crazy (I know it) / But I love that you know how to deal with it / I need you to bare with me, baby (For real) / I ain’t really used to no real n****.” The worries carry into her second verse, as hopes she isn’t falling too quickly. But overall, Big Glo seems to have some optimism that this can work out and its cuter moment on the record for sure. Spin “I LUV HER” with the audio link below.

Pharrell Crafts A “L’EGO Odyssey” On New Song For His “Piece By Piece” Biopic: Stream

Pharrell is celebrating the release of his LEGO biopic Piece By Piece and its accompanying soundtrack, featuring some of his best, biggest, and most iconic hits along with a few new records. Moreover, one of these is the “VIRGINIA BOY” remix with Tyler, The Creator, which fans were very receptive to given their chemistry. But don’t sleep on the expansive and wondrous “L’EGO Odyssey,” which combines the producer and fashion creative’s love of drama and atmosphere with some very interesting percussive choices, otherworldly synths, and his trademark earthy playfulness.

Furthermore, “L’EGO Odyssey” kicks off with a spotlit choir, followed by crisp Latin-inspired percussion and rubbery bass. The “Beautiful” star builds the progressive and ascending instrumental with string arrangements, quirky synths, bit-crushed hits of percussion, a brass section, and eventually, more grand and orchestral drums. In addition, it’s an easy song to get absolutely lost in, something that’s always been a quality of Pharrell’s vibrant and more ambitious production efforts. Fortunately, this being a soundtrack cut doesn’t make it as forced, clean, corporate, or corny as you might expect on paper.

What’s more is that the Virginia native has much more to look forward to soon, as he will co-chair the 2025 Met Gala alongside A$AP Rocky. In all his endeavors, Pharrell stays winning. If you haven’t heard “L’EGO Odyssey” or the Piece By Piece soundtrack yet, you can find it on YouTube below or via your favorite streaming service. Down there, you can also find some standout lyrics and the comments section for you to drop your thoughts on the song. As always, come back to HNHH for the best new music drops around the clock.
