A bombshell announcement has rocked Formula One as long-time Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is expected to join rivals Ferrari for the 2025 season. Hamilton is signed to Mercedes through the 2025 season following a contract extension last year. However, a deal that is “as good as done” will now see Hamilton replace young Spanish driver Carlos Sainz next year. Sainz finished seventh in the 2023 season standings. Hamilton finished third behind a dominant Red Bull 1-2 from Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.

It is believed that Hamilton is seen as Ferrari’s best chance to win a Drivers’ Championship for the first time since 2007. The hope is that pairing him with Charles Leclerc will finally end the iconic team’s lengthy drought. Once the most dominant team in F1, Ferrari has been blocked by Mercedes and now Red Bull. The departure of Sebastian Vettel in 2020 ended a nearly 25-year run of Ferrari rostering at least one world champion. A formal announcement is expected later today.

Fans Ready For The Chaos Of Lewis Hamilton To Ferrari

Fans are already preparing themselves for a chaotic 2025 season. A wave of memes erupted after news of the move broke. Amidst the fantasy of fans were scenes of Hamilton fighting with the technical crew at Ferrari as well as tense confrontations with his current boss, Tito Wolf. There was also some thought spared to Ferrari fans, who are obviously confused about the prospect of their biggest rival joining the team.

However, much of the shock stems from the fact that the move is completely unexpected. Hamilton himself had publicly laughed off any notion of such a move as recently as last year. But it appears that Ferrari chairman and long-time Hamilton admirer John Elkman had been persistent in his pursuit of the seven-time world champion over the past few months. Frederic Vassuer, who helped Hamilton win GP2 (Now Formula Two) in his youth, is also believed to have played a major role in securing the move. Despite this, for the moment, all parties are staying silent until the expected formal announcement.

Drake Drops $1 Million On Custom Dune Buggy

Drake recently took to Instagram to show off one of his latest extravagant purchases. The hitmaker bought a custom dune buggy, which cost him nearly $1 million. He flexed the pricey off-road vehicle on his Story earlier this week. “[red drip emojis] still buying toys,” he wrote.

Tony Bet, Drake’s personal car customizer, is behind the flashy custom vehicle. He also shared some shots of the dune buggy on his page, writing, “@champagnepapi doesn’t mess around. Here is his custom built 900HP Brabus Crawler! Thank you for the opportunity [fire emoji].” His photos reveal that the vehicle features a silver plaque reading, “Brabus Masterpiece. Specially built for Aubrey Drake Graham.” The vehicle came just in time for Drake’s 37th birthday, which he celebrated on Tuesday (October 24).

Drake’s “Still Buying Toys”

This isn’t the only flashy new custom item Drake’s received as of late, however. Earlier this week, Birdman surprised him with a Cash Money chain at the club. “Oh, that’s that new sh*t!” he said excitedly upon opening the box. Obviously, he seemed to be thrilled by the thoughtful gift, immediately putting the chain around his neck. He also became the first person ever to get over 200 million RIAA-certified single units as a lead artist this week, which was only the cherry on top of his week-long festivities.

Drake also hosted a huge birthday party for himself in Miami on Monday (October 23), surrounded by loved ones. While fans expected it to be pretty lavish, the bartenders were shockingly top-tier. Producer BNYX shared a clip of Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston making people’s drinks, which is pretty impressive, even for Drizzy. Meek Mill Joins Rick Ross With His Own Maybach Purchase

Meek Mill showcased himself purchasing the Haute Voiture Maybach designed by the late Virgil Abloh in a video on TikTok, earlier this week. The addition to his collection follows his MMG partner, Rick Ross, buying a custom Grey Maybach with red interior just a few hours prior. In the TikTok video, Meek shows highlights from his trip to the Mercedes dealership as an unreleased song plays in the background.

The lyrics directly reference Abloh and the car itself. “Louis Virgil got the soft fabric/ Virgil Maybach looking like it got some Timbs on it/ Equity on the back and then in the front I want M’s on it,” Meek raps.

As for Rick Ross’ recent purchase, he went with a custom-made car. “It’s made it here baby, it’s made it here,” he said while showing off the car on his Instagram Stories. “One of one, one of one, one of one. Ya’ll see that in the middle. Come on now. It’s the biggest. It’s the biggest. Come on now. It’s never been done. See that? Never been. One time for Champion Motoring. They made it happen. It’s the biggest, it’s never been done. It’s the V-12.” Both car purchases come as Meek Mill and Rick Ross have been teasing working on new music together. Ross previewed new music with the two of them and DJ Khaled in July.
