070 Shake Survives A Plane Crash And Runs Toward Love In Her New ‘Black Dress’ Video

Just a year after dropping her second album, You Can’t Kill Me, it appears 070 Shake is kicking off her new era. Tonight (September 22), Shake dropped a new single called “Black Dress” — a song she’s been teasing and previewing at shows and festival appearances over the course of the past year.

On “Black Dress,” Shake comes face-to-face with her triggers, attempting to move forward from a past love.

“Even when it’s dark / I still can see your bone structure / I can see the light in you / Even when it’s dark / I still can see your bone structure,” she sings on the pre-hook.

On the chorus, she dives deeper into the titular black dress, which brings back haunting and loving memories for her.

“My baby was in a black dress when she married me / I’m the reason that you walked that way / And you do with me,” sings Shake on the song’s chorus.

In the song’s accompanying video, Shake is seen after surviving a plane crash. She floats through air and runs through lush feels, on a mission to unite with a special love.

While it hasn’t been too long since Shake dropped music, she always aims to be timely with her work. In an interview with Our Generation Music, she said she knows her music will always arrive to those who need it.

“The people that understand my music don’t underrate it,” said Shake. “I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be, and the people that need my music will always have it.”

Lily-Rose Depp Shows Off PDA With GF 070 Shake Following Controversial “The Idol” Premiere

Lily-Rose Depp’s work alongside The Weeknd in The Idol didn’t hit the mark with audiences in France. Nevertheless, the 23-year-old is still adored in the eyes of her latest lover, 070 Shake. The actress confirmed her relationship with the singer via Instagram recently. At the time, she revealed that they’ve spent the past four months getting to know each other. While they didn’t make their red carpet debut during the HBO show’s premiere at Cannes this week, Shake was waiting for her partner at LAX upon her arrival back in the US on Thursday (May 25).

As Page Six reports, the creatives shared a passionate kiss as paparazzi cameras snapped away. Depp was casually dressed for her flight, wearing a cropped white tee with no bra underneath and black sweatpants. She attempted to conceal her identity with a pair of sunglasses. Now that she’s achieved TV star status, however, it’ll be nearly impossible for the blonde beauty to blend in with the crowd. Especially once The Idol makes its world debut in the coming weeks.

Lily-Rose Depp at The Idol Premiere

As for the “Nice to Have” hitmaker, born Danielle Balbuena, she wore an oversized denim jacket, also sporting her signature curly hair. Even with the scathing reviews slamming the hypersexualization of Depp’s pop star character, she seems far more focused on the love unfolding in front of her. According to The Hollywood Reporter, there are hardly any scenes “without the camera showing flashes of [Lily’s] breasts or ass.”

“You start to wonder if this is building to anything, and by episode two it seems likely that it’s probably not,” they further noted. Rolling Stone previously shared similar criticisms of the show, but The Weeknd and his co-star didn’t seem bothered by those either. Find photos of Lily-Rose Depp and 070 Shake’s romantic airport reunion here. Will you be tuning into HBO’s The Idol when it premieres later this year? Here Are The Lightning In A Bottle Set Times For 2023

Lightning In A Bottle Festival will stage its 20th anniversary from Wednesday, May 24, to Monday, May 29, promising “five days of music, art, yoga, talks and workshops, camping, and more” in Buena Vista Lake, California. That’s a vast bill.

Last year’s lineup featured Glass Animals, Kaytranada, Little Simz, and Purity Ring. This year’s lineup is headlined by the likes of Diplo, 070 Shake, Sampa The Great, Tobe Nwigwe, Zhu, and an overwhelming amount of other performers.

The bad news: The five-day schedule is intimating. The good news: It definitely contains all the information you could possibly need, and that’s before even mentioning the separate schedule for Learning & Culture, Art & Interactivity, or Yoga & Movement lineups.

The music portion of the festivities will be divided across six stages: Lightning, Thunder, Woogie, Grand Artique, The Junkyard, and The Stacks. The marathon begins tomorrow, May 24, with Beau Sebastian (6-7:30 p.m. local time), Armando Kroma (7:30-9 p.m.), Marcos (9-10:30 p.m.), Cody Lee (10:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m.), and Saand (12-2 a.m.), all at The Junkyard.

Thursday, May 25, kicks off at 11:30 a.m. on the Junkyard stage with Blake Rudolph and will rage on until 2 a.m. with Evan Hatfield (12:45 a.m.-2 a.m.) on Grand Artique and a surprise guest slated from 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. at The Stacks.

Friday’s slate features 070 Shake (9:30-10:30 p.m.) on the Lightning stage, Diplo (12-2 a.m.) on the Woogie stage, and two surprise guests back-to-back from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. at The Stacks.

Come Saturday — how could anybody possibly have any energy left? — Rogelio will get the day started at 11 a.m. at The Junkyard, and that set will be bookended by Zhu on the Lightning stage (12:30-2 a.m.) Finally, Sunday, May 28, will welcome two more surprise guests and the likes of Sampa The Great (8:10-9:25 p.m.), LSDream (11:30 p.m.-12:45 a.m.), Tale Of Us (12-2 a.m.), and Littlefoot (1:15-2:40 a.m.).

070 Shake & Lily-Rose Depp Confirm They’re Dating With A Passionate Kiss On IG

Ahead of the long-awaited premiere of HBO’s The Idol, Lily-Rose Depp is doing what she can to make her presence felt. We’ve already met the raunchy pop star she’ll be playing alongside The Weeknd in his upcoming series. Now, the actress is ready to share more of her personal life with fans, revealing via Instagram a few days ago that she’s quietly been dating a famous singer for four months now.

On Thursday (May 11), the 23-year-old’s Story lit up with a snapshot of her and 070 Shake sharing a passionate kiss. “FOUR MONTHS [WITH] MY CRUSH,” she excitedly wrote over their sweet moment of PDA. While this is the first confirmation we’ve received of their relationship, as Page Six notes, rumours actually began swirling around them during Paris Fashion Week in late February and early March. Based on the timeline from Depp’s IG post, she and the “Nice To Have” hitmaker – born Danielle Balbuena – made their fling official in mid-January, and have only grown closer since then.

Lily-Rose Depp Reveals She’s in Love

In the past, Johnny Depp’s daughter has mostly been linked to male lovers, such as French rapper, Yassine Stein, Kylie Jenner’s new boo, Timothée Chalamet, and Elvis actor, Austin Butler. Even with her celebrity status, the young starlet prefers to keep that part of her life out of the spotlight. “I think that the value of privacy is something that’s been instilled in me from an early age,” she told Drew Barrymore while appearing on her talk show in April 2021.

As for the musician, Balbuena’s only other high-profile union was with Kehlani back in 2021, though the mother of one has since moved on. Prior to that, she dated Sophia Lodato from 2017 to 2020 and has also kept many of her romantic affairs hidden from the public eye. Do you think 070 Shake and Lily-Rose Depp make a cute couple? Here Are The Boston Calling Set Times For The 2023 Festival

The 2023 Boston Calling Music Festival will likely be an emotional experience for Foo Fighters. The Dave Grohl-led band was slated to headline last year’s lineup but understandably canceled all commitments following the sudden March 2022 death of drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Foo Fighters are set to headline this year, and now we know exactly when. Boston Calling revealed all set times for the May 26-28 event at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Boston, if the latter detail wasn’t already obvious enough in the festival’s title.

Foo Fighters’ headlining set will start at 8:40 p.m. EST on Friday, May 26, and it will come days before the release of But Here We Are, their first album since losing Hawkins that they announced today, April 19.

Foo Fighters will be preceded on the Green Stage by The National (5:55-6:55 p.m.), Leon (3:45-4:40 p.m.), and The Beaches (2:20-2:55 p.m.).

The Happy Valley Red Stage will be handled by Alisa Amador (1:45-2:15 p.m.), Celisse (3-3:50 p.m.), Chelsea Cutler (4:45-5:45 p.m.), and Yeah Yeah Yeahs (7:05-8:35 p.m.). The Blue Stage will feature Zolita (2:15-2:50 p.m.), GA-20 (3:20-4:05 p.m.), Talk (4:35-5:20 p.m.), Teddy Swims (5:50-6:50 p.m.), and Niall Horan (7:40-8:40 p.m.)

Saturday, May 27, will stage the likes of The Lumineers (9 p.m.), Alanis Morissette (7:15-8:45 p.m.), The Flaming Lips (7:35-8:50 p.m.), and Fletcher (5:50-6:50 p.m.).

Paramore (9 p.m.), Maren Morris (6:15-7:15 p.m.), 070 Shake (4-4:55 p.m.), Queens Of The Stone Age (7:25-8:50 p.m.), Bleachers (5:05-6:05 p.m.), The Lindas Lindas (3-3:50 p.m.), and more will bring it home on Sunday, May 28.

RAYE And 070 Shake Brought ‘Escapism’ To ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’

RAYE is riding high off the release of 21st Century Blues, her debut album from earlier this month. The 25-year-old British songstress achieved two debuts this week: Her first-ever US television performance and her first-ever New York Fashion Week.

RAYE belted out “Escapism” with 070 Shake on last night’s (February 15) The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. She opened the performance with a perfectly classic, almost nostalgic vibe — delivering her distinctly evocative vocals while sat at the piano and backed with the show’s horn section.

RAYE stepped out from behind the keys for an emphatic second verse: “Been some dark days lately and I’m findin’ it cripplin’ / Excuse my state, I’m as high as your hopes / That you’ll make it to my bed, get me hot and sizzlin’ / If I take a step back to see the glass half-full / At least it’s the Prada two-piece that I’m trippin’ in.”

The set steadily gained momentum and peaked just as 070 Shake sauntered on to the stage to scale it back down to the simmering pace RAYE began with.

“Escapism” became RAYE’s first career No. 1 on the UK charts in January, which she reflected on with Uproxx around 21st Century Blues‘ arrival last week.

“It’s so exciting as an artist to have chart success or mainstream success, but that was never my main goal,” RAYE said. “My main goal is artistic integrity and just loving wholeheartedly what I share with the world and having some time to reassess that and make that the primary. It’s been a really beautiful, ugly, gorgeous, terrible, fun, and liberating process.”

RAYE also shared the inspiration behind the track’s messaging: “I think, as a woman, when you’re processing such things in life, there are not really any healthy outlets for it. I think women do stereotypically face a lot of pressure to seem like they’ve got everything together — to be polite, to be smiley, to be kind, and grateful, and all of this stuff. So I wanted to create a story that was very blunt and honest about that time in my life.”

RAYE enjoyed unabashed expression in a different medium at New York Fashion Week, where she caught up with the likes of Ice Spice and Lil Nas X. Check out RAYE’s snaps from NYFW below, or watch her “Escapism” performance above.

Did Kehlani And 070 Shake Break Up?

Kehlani has two more dates on the North American leg of their Blue Water Road Trip tour, and it appears that’s not the only thing coming to an end in the Platinum-certified artist’s life: Where does their relationship with 070 Shake stand?

A TikTok of Kehlani vibing in the club is making the rounds online.”Who’s newly single, y’all?” the DJ standing next to Kehlani says into microphone, and Kehlani throws their hands in the air. Fans are interpreting this as confirmation that Kehlani and 070 Shake have split.

In June, Kehlani posted to Instagram in celebration of “6 years of friendship [and] almost 1 year of love” with Shake (real name Danielle Balbuena), but that post has since been deleted. (One fan also noticed that they no longer follow each other on Instagram.) The allegedly former couple had previously put their love on display in late May with Kehlani’s “melt” music video.

Blue Water Road, Kehlani’s third album and follow-up to 2020’s It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, dropped on April 29. Shake’s album You Can’t Kill Me released in early June, and like Kehlani, she is on tour — first, opening for 13 dates of Kid Cudi‘s To The Moon World Tour in August and September, and now, headlining in Europe.

Kehlani will play to a sold-out Oakland Arena in their hometown of Oakland, California, tonight (September 30).

Who Are Kid Cudi’s ‘To The Moon World Tour’ Openers?

In September, Kid Cudi’s ambitious new album project, Entergalactic, is coming out alongside its animated series component. Naturally, that also means a tour, which Cudi announced earlier this summer and kicked off this week in Vancouver. The To The Moon World Tour will see him traverse the United States before hopping the pond for dates in Japan, Denmark, The Netherlands, The United Kingdom, Belgium, France, and Italy.

Of course, he’ll be bringing along some friends to support him on the tour, including Denzel Curry, 070 Shake, and YSL rapper Strick. Meanwhile, burgeoning Houston star Don Toliver, who was previously billed to appear as well, was forced to drop out due to logistical issues. He explained his absence in his own statement on Twitter writing, “Unfortunately due to production/logistical issues I am no longer able to appear on the `To the Moon’ tour with Kid Cudi. My top priority is creating an experience that my fans deserve. We tried every possible option but ultimately there was no solution.”

The remaining openers should be able to put on a worthwhile show of their own. Denzel Curry is fresh off the release of his new album, Melt My Eyez See Your Future, and has been on a tour of his own to warm up ahead of supporting Kid Cudi’s early dates. 070 Shake’s new album is called You Can’t Kill Me and she’ll be picking up where Denzel leaves off. Strick, who just dropped his mixtape, The Machine Vol. 3, will carry the torch for YSL through all of the US dates except Cudi’s hometown performance in Cleveland at his Moon Man’s Landing Festival.
