DDG Calls Internet Gullible After Halle Bailey Breakup Rumors

DDG and Halle Bailey have been one of pop culture’s most adored young couples over the past year or so. The streamer-turned-rapper and Beyoncé-apprentice singer’s relationship had been sunshine and rainbows for the most part, until things took a turn earlier this week. On Feb. 7, DDG put out a tweet that implied he and Halle were on the rocks, saying “All these girls the same.”

After this, fans discovered he had not only wiped any mention of Halle off of his Instagram page, but the couple unfollowed one another also. DDG’s tweet went viral and prompted reactions from both his supporters and Halle’s. Some people even believed DDG was implying that Halle cheated on him. It was then discovered that the youngsters re-followed each other on IG hours later, making it all seem like just a melodramatic fight or argument. Amid this drama, Halle’s older sister Ski Bailey had some words for DDG, telling him not to “treat her the way that you’ve treated these others.” Later, though, Ski rescinded her remarks after discussing the subject with her sister, where Halle assured her nothing was wrong: “My bad y’all. I spoke to sis and ain’t nothing going on lol. Let me go back to drinking my water and minding the business that pays me.”

DDG Backtracks

In a quick change of tone on Feb. 8, DDG put out another tweet seemingly looking to reel the drama back in. “The internet so gullible” he wrote accompanied by a laughing emoji. Less than three hours following this, he put out a new WORLDSTARHIPHOP exclusive music video titled “Delilah.” Fans in the replies immediately felt that the drama he manufactured with Halle was simply for promotion of his new single.

While we cannot be sure of DDG and Halle Bailey’s current standing, he is definitely making it seem like his original tweet was overblown, as it is now deleted. Regardless, it is pretty apparent that, whether he meant to or not, his latest release is getting more attention because of the debacle. What are your thoughts on the DDG and Halle mess?

SAINt JHN Returns With Exciting New Track “Overstimulated”

SAINt JHN is an artist who has proven his immense versatility over the past few years. Overall, SAINt JHN is someone who was mostly a big name behind the scenes, until about 2019 when his solo work truly began to take off. The Brooklyn artist had written for some of the biggest artists in the world, including Beyonce. His project Collection 1 had some incredible songs on it. Subsequently, one of the singles from that body of work, “Roses,” was remixed and turned into a massive international hit.

Projects like Ghetto Lenny’s Love Songs have also resonated with fans. In 2020, he dropped While The World Was Burning, and since then, fans have been waiting for a new project. Needless to say, he is someone who knows how to make great music, regardless of the genre. He can do your typical hip-hop tracks, however, he can also get into rock. His fascination with Lenny Kravitz is proof of this. In fact, they even have a song together.

SAINt JHN has delivered some singles over the past two years, and this past week, he delivered another. Down below, you can find his brand-new single, dubbed “Overstimulated.” Overall, this is a track that contains some spacey production albeit with some crisp and punchy drums. As for the artist’s performance on the track, he is as catchy as ever. He knows how to bring solid melodies into the mix, all while getting into his rap flow when needed.

Perhaps now, this single could be leading to another project. Although SAINt JHN typically likes to take his time with these things, one could only hope that a body of work in on the horizon. Let us know what you thought of this track, down in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world.

Quotable Lyrics:

I am overstimulated and bored at the same time
I’m indecisive, please forgive me when I change minds
Two fingers in the air, but these are not for gang signs
We from the same hood, but we are not the same kind

Twyce Demands “Attention” In New Freestyle Track

U.K artist Twyce just dropped a new freestyle titled “Attention,” and it demands it with narrative bars and a breezy instrumental. Moreover, the South London rapper is one of many voices bubbling in the English hip-hop scene, which covers grime, drill, and beyond. However, this newest track is well within a stateside hip-hop head’s wheelhouse. For example, the track’s production is similar to the melodic, emotionally resonant, and wavy tracks of a lyricist like J. Cole. While it’s a short track, Twyce injects a lot of passion and personal perspective in its two-minute runtime. It’s yet another creative track from beyond the pond, in an age where regions no longer define genre or style.

Furthermore, the beat on “Attention” is an emotive and laid-back approach, with a slow tempo and a lot of atmosphere. For example, there are some very subtle keys that hang in the background, so lush they sound like guitar strums. However, the guitar’s already the main melody, looping some soft electric chords throughout its runtime. Also, there are some beautiful saxophone lines that come in toward the midway point, contrasting nicely with the guitar. While it may not be the most dynamic or evolving backdrop, it’s still layered enough to warrant repeat listens. Regardless, Twyce’s bouncing flows, heartfelt narratives, and engaging wordplay and diction are the song’s standout achievement. In fact, some fans might be reminded of Dave’s introspection and his chilled and measured demeanor.

Still, what did you think of Twyce’s latest freestyle, “Attention”? However you may feel, let us know in the comments and peep notable lines and its music video down below. Also, if you haven’t heard this track yet, you can find the song on your preferred streaming service. As always, stay tuned to HNHH for the best new music releases, with or without that smooth British accent.

Quotable Lyrics
She was a girl on the corner, juxtaposed while I’m on the corner, just a pose,
Opinions opposed, you’re in my head naked, no clothes, first time
Seeing me, you froze, we’re great together, but trust me I’m good on my own,
They give Qs, I say no when they ask me “Do you regret this fully?”

Kamaiyah Fights Through The Pain On New Single, “Champagne Tears”

Still fresh off of the release of her latest EP, Kamaiyah has returned with a new single titled, “Champagne Tears.” On the track, the Oakland rapper sings about using wealth as a coping mechanism.

“The money ain’t a thing / I’m sippin’ champagne through the pain,” Kamaiyah sings on the track.

She further raps, “I remain ’cause I still got sauce, bitch / Want me to fall, but I won’t though / Rapper turned mogul / About to take this shit and go global / Got the rap game in a chokehold.”

On Twitter ahead of the song’s release, Kamaiyah teased that they’d be dropping music more consistently.

“I’m focusing on dropping more consistently and not looking at that numbers,” she tweeted. “This the first time I’ve been able to just have fun and put out cool shit that I actually fuck wit.”

“Champagne Tears” arrives after Kamaiyah released the seven-track Keep It Lit EP in December. They also shared the single, “Thru The Week,” earlier this month. Looking ahead, Kamaiyah is reportedly planning on dropping an album later this year.

Since 2020, Kamaiyah has been releasing music through her own label, GRND.WRK. She launched the imprint after severing ties with both Interscope Records and 4Hunnid Records.

Check out Kamaiyah’s “Champagne Tears” below.

I’m sippin’ champagne through the pain

Anderson .Paak & Cordae Announce Drop J. Cole-Produced Track, “Two Tens”

Cordae & Anderson .Paak will release “Two Tens,” a collaboration with J. Cole as producer. Moreover, XXL reported that new cover art for the team-up surfaced online, with it being all the official info fans have to go by. Still, this could be a really exciting cut from three versatile talents in the game right now.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – JANUARY 25: Anderson .Paak and YBN Cordae perform onstage at the LiveXLive Pre-Grammy Jam Featuring YBN Cordae And Friends at The Peppermint Club on January 25, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Roger Kisby/Getty Images for LiveXLive)

In fact, this would mark another collaboration for .Paak and the former YBN MC, who previously worked together on “RNP.” Furthermore, that song was on Cordae’s acclaimed 2019 effort, The Lost Boy. Since then, unfortunately, they haven’t made anything else together. However, “RNP” is filled with so much chemistry that the thought of a “sequel” is pretty enticing.

Then there’s the fact that J. Cole is apparently behind the board for this single. Given Cordae and Cole’s similar artistic lanes and clear kindred spirit, this will excite Stans of either artist. Funnily enough, the closest they’ve come to an official collaboration is Cordae’s track “Old n***as,” which uses the beat from Cole’s “1985.” Readers may remember that track as a tough conversation between “old heads” and “the new school.” To see that growth finalized on this upcoming track could be a special moment for hip-hop in 2023.

Meanwhile, the Off-Season MC and the Silk Sonic member collaborated on the latter’s 2018 album Oxnard for the song “Trippy.” Much like “RNP,” “Trippy” is all we’ve gotten as far as a collab, and it left fans salivating.

However, all artists have been busy with releases, singles, and achievements of their own. Most recently, J. Cole did something truly special and uploaded a verse he wrote over a “J. Cole type beat” on YouTube. What’s more is that he sent his song (titled “Procrastination (Broke)“) to the type beat’s producer so they could upload it to their channel. The veteran MC said that he was with little motivation, searching for inspiration, and found it in their beat.

How do you think this Cordae and Anderson .Paak track produced by J. Cole will shape up? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, come back to HNHH for the latest rumored releases from your favorite artists.

“What have you got to lose? / Dammit, you’re so consumed / I think you got confused / It wasn’t me, it’s you,” the song begins.

Elsewhere on his Instagram page, the producer revealed that he sampled a previously released song of his called “Wonder” to make the beat for “Lose.”

On Friday (January 13), they dropped off their brand new single, “F*ck Tha World.” Additionally, there’s a music video to go along with it.

The groovy track finds Isioma getting candidly honest about their feelings towards life and self-discovery. “When I disappear to go find myself, I learn the end is near / Rest in peace to your everything,” they sing, opening up the song straightaway.

In the subsequent second verse, they proceed to do more vocally and even experiment with melodically rapping. “Infrared beams on my forehead / I don’t give a f*ck when I’m on tour / Used to give a f*ck, not anymore / Technicolor lights used to keep me up at night, now sleep next to a TEC,” they express explicitly.

However, the hook is undeniably the focus point here. “F*ck the world, it’s all gonna blow up anyways / We’re all gonna float to outer space / Saying ‘f*ck the world’ brings me inner peace / It’s all gonna blow up anyway,” sings Isioma. ALLBLACK Taps Curren$y For New Song, “Pelicans”

ALLBLACK is a household name within the diverse Bay Area hip-hop scene. Hailing from Oakland, the “Blitz” rapper combines his city’s bounce with a low-key delivery to create a unique sound.

On his newest release, he links up with New Orleans native Curren$y for the pair’s first official collaboration together, “Pelicans.” Arriving on streaming services on Friday (January 13), the new song also comes with a music video.

The 30-year-old kicks off the track with a bang. After letting the booming 808s and claps settle in, he gets right to storytelling in his calm delivery and evident confidence on the mic. “Like Ashanti, I’m so foolish / Ridin’ with this dirty glock, I pray that I don’t use it / N*ggas wanna take my life, I guess they gon’ have to go lootin’ / N*ggas thinkin’ they f*ckin’ wit me, they gon’ have to prove it,” he raps in the first verse.

Curren$y effortlessly follows suit, matching his energy in an organic way. “New Orleans to The Bay love, it always been that way / I been connected, it’s a blessin’ / Some rappers can’t go kick it nowhere, that sh*t’s stressful,” Spitta raps in his subsequent verse.

For the first time since 2017, ALLBLACK didn’t release a project last year. In 2021 though, he dropped his stacked debut album, TY4FWM. Featuring a wide variety of artists including E-40, Peezy, Drakeo the Ruler and more, the 14 tracks evidently showcase his impact on the California sound.

On the other hand, Curren$y is continuing his streak as one of the most consistent rappers in the game. Last year, he dropped three full-length projects, as well as a deluxe version to one of them, Spring Clean 2.

Make sure to stream ALLBLACK and Curren$y’s “Pelicans” on either Spotify or SoundCloud down below. Comment your thoughts afterwards. Finally, stay tuned to HNHH for all of the newest updates and releases.

Floyd Mayweather Trains Armani White For New Music Video

Armani White is fresh off the release of his brand new single, “GOATED.” Featuring Denzel Curry, the track finds the two claiming their dominance in the rap game.

An accompanying music video also arrives along with the song. Floyd Mayweather Jr makes an entertaining appearance, training the rapper in his TMT gym. Additionally, it appears as though the duo had a great time behind the scenes as well.

According to footage from TMZ, the pair were putting in some work in between takes on set. The “DIAMOND DALLAS.” rapper gets some lessons on footwork and punching techniques on the heavy bag. Additionally, of course, White returns the favor by showing Floyd how to do the “GOATED shoulder dance” that he’s pushing alongside the song.

The retired undefeated boxer’s appearance is a testament to the Philadelphia native’s undeniable growing popularity in the rap game.

“GOATED” serves as the first single to the 26-year-old’s forthcoming EP, which will allegedly be out later this year. His last EP comes in the form of 2021’s deeply personal, Things We Lost In The Fire.

Of course, White broke onto the scene with his viral hit song from last year, “BILLIE EILISH.” It was popular on TikTok before it even saw an official release. The track is rather short, clocking in at just over a minute and a half. However, it certainly manages to pack a heavy punch, as the Philadelphi’s native infectious energy and speedy flows take centre stage.

Denzel Curry, on the other hand, is fresh off his successful year in 2022. In March, he dropped his fifth studio album, Melt My Eyez See Your Future. The 14-track project boasts features from T-Pain, 6LACK, slowthai and more.
