He might go down in hip-hop history as the greatest to ever lay down an instrumental. Over the course of his time in the industry, he has not dropped too many projects of his own.

However, over the past year and change, Premier has been staying pretty active. Just last year, he teamed up with Bumpy Knuckles for a 17-song project, KoleXXXion. ASAP Rocky & Westside Gunn Link Up With Gorillaz, Tease New Music

ASAP Rocky recently linked up with Westside Gunn and Gorillaz in the studio, leaving fans eager to learn what they were working on. Westside Gunn took to social media earlier this week to share some new photos from the session, teasing some upcoming music in the process. “In the studio all night with the Brodie @asvpxrocky I still can’t believe he had me in there with the @gorillaz and don’t ask if we cooked something….. OFCOURSE WE DID,” he wrote alongside various emojis.

While it’s unclear exactly what they could have on the way, it’s safe to say that fans can’t wait. Listeners are looking forward to hearing what the three acts have cooked up, speculating on how the collab could sound in his comments section. This isn’t the first exciting collabs the artists have worked on as of late, however.

Westside Gunn Shares Photos With ASAP Rocky & Gorillaz

Westside Gunn just joined forces with The Alchemist, Currensy, and Boldy James for a remix of “No Yeast” this week. Each rapper came through with a new verse for the remix. Earlier this week, ASAP Rocky’s inaugural F1 collection with Puma also dropped. Some fans have been worried about the NYC native and his family amid his current legal troubles. Luckily, he was just spotted enjoying a family outing with Rihanna and RZA.

Rocky’s been in court for allegedly shooting Terell “ASAP Relli” Ephron in November of 2021. He pleaded not guilty to two charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm last year. Relli’s since sued him and his lawyer Joe Tacopina for alleged defamation due to various statements they’ve made to the press amid their legal battle. NLE Choppa Teams Up With Producers, Aarne And Imanbek, For “Ice”

NLE Choppa is still one of the hottest rappers in the game right now. He might not be on the popularity level of Drake, Kendrick Lamar, or J. Cole, but his fanbase is quite substantial. In fact, he currently sits at just under 20 million monthly listeners. That is good enough for 304th in the world, according to Spotify. While it might not sound all that impressive, there are obviously so many artists out there, and being in the top percentile is a great accomplishment.

We bring up his expanding fanbase because he is branching out of the United States for new collaborations. For example, this year, the Memphis rapper recently worked alongside Gambi, a popular French rapper who has a few hits under his belt. They put out the fast-paced single, “Bonjour,” earlier this year. Now, he is sticking with more European talent for a new single, “Ice.”

Danny Brown Brings His Signature Comedic And Serious Tone To “Dark Sword Angel”

Quaranta might be a crowning achievement for Danny Brown. What we mean by that is the rapper has stated publicly that he has dealt with a lot ahead of the release. His candidness is something he has shown in numerous interviews and one the Detroit MC did with The Guardian proves that tenfold. He was suffering a tough stretch during the COVID pandemic, something that really took a toll on everyone in their own way. After breaking up with someone he really loved, Brown was spiraling. “I’m in this nice-ass apartment, it was like four bedrooms, but I’m lonely as f***. It got to the point I was just getting f****d up, every day, by myself.”

Brown continues to detail, “It was seven days a week. I was in pain all the time. Throwing up and s***, you know? It was my rock bottom.” However, he was able to find that resolve and climb out of that. Now, he is back doing what he loves, making music. He references that on the opening title track. That is a standout moment and another one of them is “Dark Sword Angel.” What makes this song great, is Danny’s signature mix of funny and serious. The opening lyrics are a sign that he is feeling great about where he is and where his career is going.

Since it’s such an unfiltered form of communication that’s easy to misconstrue, it’s no wonder why she has to clarify things often. Moreover, fans recently thought that the Bronx MC announced that she’s taking a break from music based on some Instagram Live comments on Thursday (November 16). When fans started to get this rumor mill going, pleading for her to stay or celebrating this supposed hiatus, she made her intentions clear on Twitter later that day.

“I never said I was taking a hiatus,” Cardi B tweeted. “I’m just continuing with my social media break like I have been for the last few weeks. Not sure why that’s causing such a ruckus. BG ya know where to catch me!” This is what she said on IG Live that had people making assumptions: “Y’all might not see me for a long time, ’cause I’m just not in the mood to be famous,” the “Bongos” superstar expressed. “If y’all wanna see me y’all go to Arizona to the Tik Tok concert. Other than that I’ve been liking my low key life.”

Back in October, Cardi B suggested she would scrap her upcoming new album and that she feels detached and unmotivated to make music right now. However, she clarified shortly after this sentiment that she just felt bogged down and overwhelmed by online hate and let it get the best of her. Hopefully the 31-year-old can keep separating these two endeavors and not allow the online noise to get to the head of her artistry.

Meanwhile, even if that becomes a tougher challenge, taking this social media break is very rarely a negative thing. After all, she deserves more time to spend with her family, friends, and on her own personal life that isn’t broadcasted out to an audience. But Bardi loves to share her journey, so all we need to know is that, if it isn’t an announcement, we shouldn’t take what she expresses emotionally as gospel. For instance, Ty Dolla $ign continues to work with Kanye. They are working on a collaborative album together, and it still remains to be seen if it will ever be released. Fans are very excited for this project, and while it started being made in Italy, it is now in Saudi Arabia. Ye is making music in the desert and he has a very unique studio set up. These bars are extremely distasteful, especially when you consider everything that has taken place as of late. However, he does not seem to care. Instead, he is just doubling down on the attention-seeking. Only time will tell whether or not his new album even comes out at this point. He has scrapped plenty of albums in the past, and we’re sure he hasn’t done it for the last time.

Drake & J. Cole Do It Again With “Evil Ways”

Drake surprised everyone yesterday early in the morning as he revealed that he would be dropping a new 6-track EP. Scary Hours 3 is essentially a deluxe version of For All The Dogs. As Drizzy previewed, this was going to be a project with bars only. In the eyes of many, FATD had too much singing and too many slow tracks. People wanted Drake to drop some bars and give fans his best work to date. Well, he heard those comments and decided to show the world he’s still got it.

If you have listened to Scary Hours 3, you know that he is really doing his thing on this project. There are some incredible verses and the instrumentals are hitting. There is even a song with J. Cole called “Evil Ways” that acts as a spiritual successor to the song “First Person Shooter.” Overall, these two always come through with dope collaborations, and this is yet another example of that. Drake Is RAPPING Rapping

There are no hooks to be found here. Instead, Drake and Cole can be heard trading bars and going back and forth. It is a perfect dynamic and they do this style extremely well. At this point, a collaborative album might just be a possibility. However, one could say Drake deserves a break right about now.

Drake Is Back With “For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition”

Drake is back with new music! In a surprise move that has left fans buzzing with anticipation since he announced the surprise drop, For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition is out now. The project now features 29 tracks, including the originals on For All The Dogs and six brand new ones. J. Cole appears on new track “Evil Ways.” The 6 God, known for his chart-topping hits and game-changing albums, took to social media on Wednesday night (Nov. 15) to share the exciting news of a new album. In addition, in a cryptic video trailer announcement earlier today, Drake hinted at what listeners can expect from the new music. “You know, ultimately it’s coming to me in a way that I haven’t experienced since [2015’s] If You’re Reading This [It’s Too Late], where it’s just kind of like I feel like I’m on drugs,” he says in a voiceover.

The additional tracks Drake’s confidence in his latest body of work is admirable. He declared “I feel no need to appease anybody. I feel so confident about the body of work I just dropped that I know I can go and disappear for whatever… six months, a year… two years.” This bold statement suggests that the third installment of Scary Hours might be a standout move to close out the year. After having a big year, with just finishing out his It’s All A Blur Tour, to dropping the highly-anticipated For All The Dogs, Drake’s not taking any breaks. In recent news, he also announced that he’s going back on tour, but this time with J. Cole.

Trippie Redd Announces “SAINT MICHAEL V2” With 10 New Songs

Earlier this month, Trippie Redd released his new EP SAINT MICHAEL. The seven-track project included fan-favorite single “Van Cleef Island” and a collaboration with BANKS on the song “Saint Michael Meyers.” Now, Trippie has confirmed a full version of the project called SAINT MICHAEL V2 that will extend the original tracklist to a full album length. The new project is due to drop later this month, exactly two weeks after the original EP dropped.

“SAINT MICHAEL V2 THE FULL ALBUM WITH 7 NEW SONGS & 3 bonus Tracks NEXT FRIDAY COMMENT below and comment who u think is featured hint enough comments I’ll give another surprise,” Trippie captioned his album announcement. SAINT MICHAEL V2 will be the third full-length project Trippie has dropped this year. All the way back in January, he released his album MANSION MUSIK. The massive 25-track project featured tons of high-profile appearances. Chief Keef, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Nardo Wick, Future, Juice WRLD, and many more make appearances on the album.

He followed that up with the 5th edition of his fan-favorite mixtape series A Love Letter To You. That album featured Roddy Ricch, Lil Wayne, and The Kid LAROI among even more big names.
