Tyla Grabs Travis Scott And Marshmello For Two Remixes To “Water”

Multicultural and multi-talented singer, Tyla is moving up the ranks in the music industry. Interestingly, the pop amapiano R&B singer has over 27 million monthly listeners on Spotify. The crazy part is that it is from one song that really took off. Of course, we are not saying she does not have other quality material out. But, “Water,” compared to the rest of her tracks, dwarfs them numbers wise.

The song came out in late July of this year and it has already racked up over 174 million streams. It is for good reason, though. Tyla brings an undeniable groove and her stunning and buttery-smooth voice work hand-in-hand. Now, she is bringing some new flavors to the original cut.

Tyla grabs two major names into the fold. Those include Travis Scott and superstar EDM producer, Marshmello. Travis adds to the tropical vibe of the track with his sun-soaked auto-tuned vocals. For Marshmello, he adds a more club-ready vibe with the instrumental. You can check out both and decide for yourself which one is better.

Quotable Lyrics From Travis Scott Remix:

The way that thing move, girl, that waist change
I’m lovin’ how it bounce like it got sprang
I know a couple thangs we can exchange

Lil Durk Puts Out “All My Life (Remixes)” With Burna Boy & Stray Kids

Lil Durk’s messages of positivity are stronger than ever. The Chicago MC is back with some new versions of his feel-good smash hit, “All My Life.” Of course, we all know the original song features a terrific verse from J. Cole. But, Durk wanted to bring some new sauce and sure did that with two remixes. The first of the two-pack brings on Nigerian multi-talent, Burna Boy. Then, on the second rendition K-pop boy band, Stray Kids enters the mix.

It is worth mentioning that neither edition includes a different beat to fit each artist’s respective style. The same triumphant production from Dr. Luke remains. So, if you were hoping for that sort of change, you will not be happy. But, if you still enjoy the beat, then it is a win-win. However, what is unique about the Stray Kids inclusion is that J. Cole is removed from it to make room for all of the bandmates to shine.

Listen To Lil Durk’s “All My Life” Remixes

While it is not as surprising to see Burna on a track with Lil Durk since he does do a lot of crossovers into hip-hop, Stray Kids is an enticing mixture. More and more rappers are beginning to dip their toes with artists from Asia, like Jack Harlow. It creates new and exciting ideas to keep rap fresh. Hopefully, others take these examples and run with it.

What are your initial thoughts on these remixes from Lil Durk, Stray Kids, and Burna Boy? Which version sounds the best to you so far? Are any of these improvements on the original with Durk and J. Cole? We would like what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Quotable Lyrics From (Burna Boy Remix):

Call me what you want, but don’t call me weak
All my life, they tryna put me on my knees (Ayele oh oh, Ayele ko ko)
All my life I try not to waste precious time, waste my precious time
I choose to speak life
Why they plot to take my life over food and wine?

Wu-Tang Legacy

However, last we heard from Killah Priest in the headlines came from some controversial comments from N.O.R.E.. The media personality referred to many rappers, including Priest, as Wu-Tang “flunkies.” Also, he reached out to Priest after his comments caught heat in order to make amends. For example, Shyheim, one of the dissed rappers, aimed shots at Noreaga after his assessment. “N***as get drunk and run they mouth, and don’t know what you talkin’ about,” he wrote on his IG page. “I ain’t ever been nobody’s flunky or nonexistent. I am the true and living god. I’m in present time, n***a. F**k outta here.”

Still, what did you think of Killah Priest’s latest album, the instrumentally dense Ragnarok Remixes? However you feel, let us know in the comments and check out the tracklist down below.
