Juicy J Picks Megan Thee Stallion Over Nicki Minaj, Co-Signs “HISS”

Juicy J has seemingly taken a side in the beef between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion, although it’s not an overt line in the sand. Still, there are very little other ways to interpret his support on Twitter of the latter’s newest single “HISS,” which is what ignited this outright battle in the first place. However, it wasn’t the song to start this spat, as the two sent subliminal shots at each other long before Queen Barb retaliated with “Big Foot.” You can also argue that this fiery revisit mostly owed itself to Nicki’s response to the “Megan’s Law” bar seemingly referencing her husband’s sex offender status, but that could apply as a general line in a lot of circumstances.

Furthermore, Juicy J didn’t like a tweet shading Nicki Minaj, retweet a disparaging comment, or say anything about the beef specifically. He simply quote-tweeted “Let’s go!” on a promotional video and thankful message from Megan Thee Stallion for fans’ support, encouraging them to keep watching the music video and listening to the track. For those unaware, the Three 6 Mafia legend and the Houston superstar have collaborated often in the past, such as 2019’s “Three Point Stance” with additional support from the City Girls. As such, this respect between collaborators is hardly surprising.

Juicy J Is A Fan Of Megan Thee Stallion’s Nicki Minaj-Targeting Track “HISS”

Another example came as recently as last August, when Megan Thee Stallion and Juicy J filmed a TikTok together. Regardless of that bond, he didn’t really ever outwardly diss or suggest any animosity with Nicki Minaj, another MC that he worked with in the past on tracks like 2014’s “Low” with Lil Bibby and Young Thug. With that in mind, we don’t think this endorsement is anti-Roman, but rather just an artist supporting another. Perhaps there’s more behind-the-scenes tea about this that we’re still not privy to.

Meanwhile, “HISS” is on the path to massive success, on pace to cinch Meg’s first solo number one hit. “Big Foot” is doing very well too, though, and once both tracks have been out for a full week, we can really break down the numbers. Do you think Juicy J has the pull to turn the tide? Is Nicki Minaj’s Wild Barbz Fanbase Out Of Control?

Many celebrities tout their own unique cult following of loyal consumers who would go above and beyond to defend them. Unfortunately, the modern era of social media and parasocial relationships has led some famous people to surround themselves with obsequious yes-men who will insatiably do their bidding, no matter how absurd. One such example is Nicki Minaj’s so-called “Barbz.”

The Barbz actively employ threats and online harassment to aggressively target Nicki’s enemies and critics. At times, they have gone so far as to doxx the personal information and whereabouts of those who speak negatively about their femcee queen. With the latest headlines once again maligning Nicki Minaj and her band of crazed fans, it begs the question: are Nicki Minaj’s Barbz the most dangerous fan base in all of music?

The Barbz Have Doxxed Megan Thee Stallion’s Deceased Mother

In a move that truly sounds impossible to accomplish, Nicki Minaj’s fans have successfully doxxed a dead woman. In a vehement response to the ongoing rap feud between Nicki and Megan Thee Stallion, the Barbz have gone to the extent of researching and uncovering the location of Meg’s mother’s burial plot. Some fans have issued threats to show up at the site, hinting at unsavory acts of vandalism.

The cemetery security has been notified of this ongoing breach and has pledged to maintain a watchful eye over the plot as the story continues to unfold. Megan’s mother tragically passed away from cancer in 2019, and has nothing to do with the ongoing exchange of words between Nicki Minaj and her daughter which recently culminated in tracks such as “Hiss” and “Big Foot.”

Clearly, this is twisted behavior that should unequivocally be condemned by any artist, though Nicki Minaj has a long and unfortunate history of whipping her fans into a fervor like this and letting them loose, or even actively encouraging them to engage with their worst impulses. While Megan’s family is the most recent example of this trend, they are far from the first victims of the Barbz’s toxic ire.

This Is Not The First Incident With The Rapper’s Fans

I’m sorry Nicki fans, please leave my family alone. I took the video down.

Several victims of Nicki Minaj’s Barbz have taken to social media to inform the public that they have lawyered up against the ravenous fans, after suffering harassment similar to that of Megan Thee Stallion in years past. While some famous people such as Lil Kim have faced the ire of rabid fans, many victims of the Barbz include random teenagers voicing their distaste for the rapper on social media. Many onlookers have even taken to comparing the Barbz to the crazed central character Dre from the Prime Video series Swarm.

Swarm was created by Donald Glover and Janine Nabors to illustrate the wild lengths some fans will go to in order to impress their favorite musician. The show features a crazed fan who locates and brutally murders members of the public who take to social media to voice criticism of her favorite singer, Ni’Jah. While the show primarily draws real-world parallels to the fan base of Beyoncé, it seems that Nicki Minaj and her Barbz are far more deserving of the title at this time.

Nicki’s fans have brigaded subreddit communities, turned out in droves to cyberbully autistic TikTok users, and even ganged up to launch a widespread attack on her husband’s sexual assault victim, in a disgusting display of toxicity. Hopefully, Nicki will come to her senses and gain control over her over-protective fans quickly before they spiral out of control on another unsuspecting critic. With all this toxicity and horrifying behavior, the Barbz are genuinely a dangerous fanbase.

DaniLeigh Receives Sentence For DUI Hit & Run

In May of 2023, DaniLeigh was arrested for a DUI hit-and-run near Miami Beach. The performer was reportedly seen speeding and swerving in and out of lanes and eventually struck someone riding on a motorized scooter. She dragged the individual for almost a block before witnesses alerted a nearby police officer, who pulled her over and conducted various field sobriety tests.

Unfortunately, she didn’t pass and blew almost twice the legal limit. An empty bottle of vodka was also found in the back of her vehicle by an officer on the scene. Her victim received treatment at a local hospital, where he was diagnosed with a kidney laceration and a spinal fracture. She was handed multiple felony charges including driving under the influence, DUI damage to property, and causing bodily injury. Shortly after her arrest, she was released on a $1K bond.

DaniLeigh Sentenced To Five Years Probation

Now, the 29-year-old learned her fate. According to The Neighborhood Talk, she appeared in court today where she was handed her sentence. Reportedly, she’s been ordered to five years of probation. Luckily for her, DaniLeigh won’t be spending any more time behind bars. That doesn’t mean, however, that her consequences end there. Her victim has also filed a civil lawsuit against her, which is still pending.

This isn’t the only legal trouble DaniLeigh has found herself involved in as of late, either. The father of her daughter, DaBaby, was hit with a second lawsuit earlier this month stemming from his 2022 bowling alley fight with her brother, Brandon Bills. Reportedly, the bowling alley where the brawl took place wants him held liable for any damages. What do you think of DaniLeigh getting sentenced to five years of probation for her 2023 DUI? What about the fact that her civil lawsuit is still pending? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Icewear Vezzo Drags Benzino For Mention In Eminem Diss

Benzino’s new diss track towards Eminem, “Rap Elvis,” is a follow-up to his own shots on “Doomsday Pt. 2” -– and it expands the scope of their shotgun blasts against their immediate circles. Marshall Mathers roped The Source‘s former co-owner’s daughter Coi Leray into their long-running feud, and he responded by bringing up a lot of Em’s rap peers. One of these is Icewear Vezzo, who had previously called his fellow Detroit MC “out of touch,” something that ‘Zino tried to use against them. However, Vezzo responded to the mention on “Rap Elvis” with some harsh words on Instagram on Wednesday (January 31), making his actual stance much clearer.

Icewear Vezzo said that Em don’t be showing the city love/ Why you ain’t got no words for him, huh? He in your city, bruh!Benzino rapped. “Say, Benzino, it’s all gangsta, ya heard?” the lyricist clapped back on the social media platform. “I did fed time with your big brother. But check it out, I don’t think it made sense that you brought me up in a diss song for a few reasons.

Icewear Vezzo Pops Off On Benzino After Eminem Diss: Watch

“Number one, I don’t second nothing you said,” Icewear Vezzo went on. “And number two, I’m never going against a n***a from my city for a n***a from another city. I don’t go against the grain, we don’t move like that. I think you got the wrong impression of Detroit, Michigan and of who I am. Holmes ain’t gotta make no diss songs to say nothing back to me ’cause I ain’t disrespect or discredit who he is. What he did might never get done again. Holmes top five lyricists dead or alive. That s**t not even arguable or debatable. And he put n***as on from his area.”

Meanwhile, Slim Shady’s frequent collaborator and fellow Detroit legend Royce Da 5’9″ saluted Vezzo on his Instagram account. The “Perfect” lyricist clearly gets the respect he deserves from peers and forefathers alike, and he’s standing on his reciprocation of that commendation. Perhaps more rappers will come forward to defend Eminem against Benzino, but only time will tell. For more updates on them and the latest news on Icewear Vezzo, keep checking in with HNHH.

Chris Brown & Tyla Clowned By Fans For Picture Together

Chris Brown recently hit up Tyla’s birthday party on Tuesday night (January 30), and fans may remember the two’s musical ties. Moreover, she opened up for his Under The Influence tour in Europe last year, and their sets’ blends of pop, R&B, amapiano, Afrobeat, and so much more results in a lot of chemistry. But based on a particular snap from the “Water” singer’s b-day bash, fans think that chemistry is not exactly photogenic. “They both look a mess here,” one fan commented under a post featuring the picture on Twitter, with another adding, “See this is why nobody likes y’all bc the hell would you post him looking like that.”

Of course, this is all just mean jokes and assumptions online, because the camera is a sneaky backstabber sometimes. Many other videos and photos of the event show Chris Brown and Tyla in a more flattering light, if you thought the first one was unflattering to begin with. Regardless, it’s an irrelevant conversation to have about two superstars, especially ones whose visual presentations are key to their appeal and success. The South African rising star has a new project on the way, and we’re sure that she will treat her visuals with care, so why are we pressed about the random picture that someone else took?

That aside, there’s been a lot to discuss in the headlines recently when it comes to Chris Brown, as is unfortunately the case given his often controversial takes or ever-present history of abuse. No matter what you think of that, it’s at least heartening to see that the recent discussion revolves around something as simple as a rap beef. He and Quavo have been at odds for a while now, and a recent run-in at Paris Fashion Week confirmed that it’s ongoing. Hopefully they can patch things up eventually, but to be honest, it doesn’t seem that serious to begin with.

Fans React

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old artist will likely continue to enjoy her rapid success, including a follow-back from Drake. She knew this would come eventually, and to see this manifestation is always satisfying for a young creative. Let’s just hope that fans don’t make such a fuss about a pic amid their more relevant exploits. For more news and the latest updates on Chris Brown and Tyla, log back into HNHH.

Usher Cleared Up A Rumor That He Was Once Beyoncé’s Nanny: ‘I Looked Over Them’

In a new interview, Usher cleared up a longstanding rumor that he was once Beyoncé’s nanny. Appearing on Shannon Sharpe’s YouTube show Club Shay Shay ahead of his upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, Usher downplayed the caregiving role he played for his fellow pop-R&B star.

Torward the end of the interview (about 53:00 above), Sharpe asks directly, “I read that you were Beyoncé’s nanny. Is that true? Were you Beyoncé’s nanny?”

“First of all, I’d be a ‘manny,’” Usher jokes (look, he grew up in a different era). “Nah, I wasn’t Beyoncé’s nanny. Daryl Simmons had a group by the name of The Dolls, and they came to Atlanta for the first time. This is before Destiny’s Child became Destiny’s Child. I think I looked over them while they was doing something in the house; I had to watch over them ’cause I was like the, you know, the authority — ’cause I guess I was the teenager at the time.”

Sharpe then wonders if Usher could foresee Beyoncé’s future success, using his discovery of Justin Bieber as evidence of his eye for talent. Usher plays it humbly, pointing out that Destiny’s Child, as a group, is still successful collectively. But he does note that even those around him would say they could see that Beyoncé was special.

There’s a lot of insight in the interview, from Usher detailing the preparation it takes to remain at the top of his game for so long to revealing tidbits about alternative timelines within the music industry where he and Jay-Z were in a supergroup. Check out the full interview up top.

Most notably, The Killers were added as headliners, as they’ll close out the festival in the 13th. Måneskin locked down a headlining slot as well, on the 12th.

Other names newly added to the lineup include Rema, Tyla, Sexyy Red, Lord Huron, Nia Archives, Alec Benjamin, 2ManyDJs DJ Set, Claudia León, Dead Posey, Depresión Sonora, Bar Italia, Andres Campo, Picture Parlour, Sea Girls, Nadye, Comandante Twin, Julia Sabaté, Choses Sauvages, and Slix.

Usher Opens Up On Beyonce Nanny Claim

Back in August of last year, Usher made a statement in an interview that surprised many fans. He claimed that he knew Beyonce when she was young before Destiny’s Child ever became a reality. “Fun fact, I knew Beyoncé when she was 12 years old, 11 years old. She used to be in a group by the name of The Dolls. I don’t know if I could consider myself their babysitter, but I had a time where I had to watch The Dolls.” Though he didn’t elaborate on the story at the time it clearly stuck in fan’s heads.

During an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast earlier this week, Usher shared the full story. “Daryl Simmons, he had a group by the name of The Dolls, and they came to Atlanta for the first time. This is before Destiny’s Child became Destiny’s Child. I think I looked over them while they [were] doing something in the house; I had to watch over ’cause I was like the, you know, the authority ’cause I guess I was the teenager at the time,” he explains in the interview. Check out the full interview where the R&B legend discussing his experiences with a young Beyonce below.

Usher’s Full Beyonce Nanny Story

Fans of Usher have quite a bit to look forward to next week. First, the legendary pop and R&B singer will be releasing his new album Coming Home on February 9th. It’s his first project since 2018’s A and his first studio album since 2016’s Hard II Love. Earlier this week he unveiled the tracklist for the album which sports some impressive contributions from artists like Latto, The-Dream, and Burna Boy.

Just a few days after that he’ll take the stage during the Super Bowl Halftime show. Almost nothing is known about exactly what he’s planning for his performance but he’s made it known that he’s aiming for perfection. What do you think of Usher’s full story about a time he had to look after young Beyonce? Let us know in the comment section below.
