Tasha K Thinks Nicki Minaj’s Album Rollout Could’ve Been Better In This Way

Tasha K is as big of a Nicki Minaj fan as anyone, but even she has her reservations about the rollout of her new album, Pink Friday 2. Moreover, she took to Twitter to voice some of her concerns and critiques, particularly with the press run behind this project. Of course, the blogger made it clear that she loves the rapper’s work and what she stands for. In fact, it’s a big part of the reason as to why she would hold her up to a higher standard when it comes to what she represents, highlights, and platforms. Tasha thinks that Nicki could’ve done a better job of uplifting female voices in the media space, but chose not to for whatever reason.

“I love tf outta Nicki Minaj and I gotta say something,” Tasha K’s tweet began. “Her press run is dope but it would have been even more classic if she would have included a FEMALE Media VOICE for the culture! I didn’t see her sit down with NOT one WOMAN in a male dominated media industry! I’m not talking about me!

Tasha K Speaks On Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 Rollout

“I’m talking about the same thing she faces is in a male dominated rap industry!” Tasha K continued. “Angela Yee, Sherri Shepard, Jennifer Hudson, and at least one NewMedia voice! Please don’y forget the Barbie’s in media that have to fight for the same rights as you! I’m in Africa on my vacation! Don’t forget about the female voices that disseminate too! If I’m wrong on this, and I missed something, I will apologize for my error!” Overall, she’s making quite an interesting point that others also levy at the Trinidadian MC when it comes to her rap collabs.

Meanwhile, we know that Tasha has some heavy beef with other male media figures, so this callout against that hierarchy is unsurprising. Birdman Reps The Saints As Part Of Drake’s OVO x NFL Collab

Birdman is someone who has repped for Louisiana quite a bit over the years. Overall, he has been a huge representative for Southern hip-hop, and he remains a powerful figure. Having said that, it should come as no surprise that he is a fan of the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are a team that has been around for a very long time. Moreover, they won a Super Bowl over a decade ago and have a fantastic history. For people in NOLA, the Saints are a very meaningful team, especially with how they rallied the city amid Hurricane Katrina.

Now, the Saints are part of the new OVO x NFL collaboration. This collaboration honors eight NFL teams with some incredible merch. This includes hoodies, shirts, and a gorgeous varsity jacket. The eight teams represented are the Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks, and the New England Patriots. Birdman got to wear the Saints gear, and in the image below, you can see he looks good in black and gold.

Nicki Minaj Thanks Travis Scott For Clearing “Pink Friday 2” Sample

Nicki Minaj has been in an absolute tailspin of news recently. She’s dealing with a potential major beef with Cardi B that seems to be escalating by the minute. Plus she recently appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live where she made some substantial promises to fans about material coming soon. Additionally in between all of that and the numerous announcements she’s made recently, she found the time to livestream with Kai Cenat.

During the livestream, they discuss a wide variety of topics and when Kai brings up a Travis Scott concert Nicki has something to say. She’s thankful to Travis for making it easy on her to clear a sample from her new album. The song “Pink Birthday” contains a sample of the intro track to Travis Scott’s modern classic Rodeo. Nicki is thankful for how smooth the process was and that Travis wasn’t “petty” about any of it. It’s not the only high-profile sample on the album either as the intro track “Are You Gone Already” contains a prominent sample of a Billie Eilish song. Of course the main reason Nicki Minaj is everywhere right now is the release of her new album Pink Friday 2. The project marked her first new album in 5 years and her 5th studio album over all. Subsequently even beyond the samples the project was a major group undertaking. Rappers like Drake, Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, J. Cole, and more all lent guest verses to the album.

One thing fans noticed when the tracklist was announced is that none of Nicki’s major female rap contemporaries were included. Since then it’s become much clearer why as she takes shots at Latto and Megan Thee Stallion on the record. Additionally she now finds herself embroiled in a beef with Cardi B online. Why Did Lil Yachty Have A ‘Friendly Beef’ With Migos Early In His Career?

Some of the most prevalent back in the day include Death Row, Roc-A-Fella, Cash Money, and No Limit Records. But in today’s time, the first record label to come to mind for most is Quality Control Music (or QC). But standing out against the big wigs isn’t as simple as it may seem.

“The Paradigm” rapper Lil Yachty spilled the beans behind his early days on the label. His confession revealed that, at one point, there was even some pinned-up energy between him and the label’s biggest act, Migos. So, why did Lil Yachty have a ‘friendly beef’ with Migos early in his career?

Yesterday (December 14), on his podcast, A Safe Place, while chatting with QC’s founders Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “P” Thomas, Yachty recounted the brotherly tension. “Quavo used to be so mean to me! It became like a friendly beef. It was like this thing of battling with me against all three Migos when it came to cars, when it came to jewelry, when it came to women, when it came to clothes, everything,” said Yachty.

He continued, “When Quavo got a new chain, I had to get a new chain. Offset got a new chain, I get a new chain. Takeoff get a new watch, I would go and get a new watch. I used to always feel like everyone was trying to little bro me. At first, they thought I was weird as sh*t. They was like, ‘This n**** is weird as f*ck.’”

Eventually, the two became close friends after Yachty was able to make it through that haze-like period.

After Charlamagne The God suggests that she leaked it herself to capitalize on the success of her uninhibited single “Pound Town,” Sexyy denies doing so, saying it happened accidentally when she set her phone down during “the moment” — probably meaning during a sex session. She also complains that the video in question was “wack” because it was taken when she was “fat, pregnant, and didn’t feel like doing sh*t.” She jokes that she has “way worse stuff in her phone” and that “I could really be a star” if she posted that stuff.

The lesson here, I suppose, is: If you’re going to shoot spicy videos, don’t use the Instagram camera! It makes things “easier” in a way (probably) but that “Your story” button is just a little TOO convenient to take the risk. According to new reports, Lil Zay Osama has been arrested for gun possession and robbery. Unfortunately for him, this is the latest in a series of arrests for similar charges, ones that have plagued his life and career for a long time. It’s important to note that much of this is due to the systemic conditions and circumstances that he faced while growing up in Chicago. Nevertheless, the specific charges include theft of over $10,000 in stolen goods, although the arrest report indicates that it doesn’t reach the $100,000 mark. In addition, this document details the specific firearm charges that he faces.

Furthermore, authorities took custody of Lil Zay Osama for possessing a loaded machine gun on his person and in the passenger compartment of his vehicle. Not only that, but the report also suggests that he modified the gun in some way that left a defaced serial number. It’s unclear what the “Ain’t On S**t” rapper’s status or condition is, as well as whether he’d be able to bond or bail out. Surely within the coming days and weeks, we should get new updates on this case and what other implications it could yield for him.

Back in October of last year, Lil Zay Osama spoke on another arrest he faced and the circumstances behind his escape of it. “I’m On A 1Million Dollar Bail Rn,” he wrote on Instagram. “Ima Beat This Up Like Rocky Thanks to my lawyer @dawnmflorio [heart emoji] We Locked In 5L. It’s cr*zy i thought people would say free me hoping i do better and wish the best. Yall really in the comments and on blogs saying 20 and 30 plus ima get and yall hope i get time im dum and etc. Don’t believe everything u hear i been out here i know how to move dont believe everything u hear.”

Meanwhile, these issues even prompted the 26-year-old to call for help from other famous rap figures. During his recent appearance on the Questlove Supreme podcast, Andre 3000 reflected on meeting Prince at an LA club ahead of his 2016 death. According to the Outkast star, he wasn’t sure whether the icon was a fan of his work or not, making for a pretty nerve-wracking encounter.

“I [had] met Prince in passing. [Around the time of] The Love Below, I lived in L.A. I remember me and the homie goin’ out to a club on Sunset [Boulevard],” he began. “So I got over to this booth, and it’s Prince, and he’s sitting. And I’m very nervous, man. He motions his hand [to sit down]. I sat down and I didn’t know what to say. He could tell that I didn’t know what to say.”
