Kanye West Reportedly Turned Down Meeting With Diddy Just Weeks Before Federal Raids

Kanye West and Diddy haven’t always been on the best of terms. Back in 2022, Ye was publically calling Diddy out for allegedly threatening him. Moreover, the legendary artist called Puff a “Fed” at the time. Overall, it was just one of many feuds that Ye was getting himself into at the time. However, he is now mostly just trying to focus on his new Vultures projects with Ty Dolla Sign. Not to mention, he has also been enjoying his married life with none other than Bianca Censori.

As for Diddy, well, things are not going so well for him. On Monday, his homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by federal authorities. The operation was carried out on suspicion of sex trafficking. In the midst of all of this, TMZ is now reporting that Diddy was hoping to meet with Kanye back on March 14th in Los Angeles. That was the day of his Rolling Loud performance, which Puff attended. As the story goes, Puff was there with his family and entourage. He approached Ye’s team and asked for a face-to-face meeting. However, Kanye refused.

At the time, Kanye had no way of knowing what was about to happen. Although it is interesting that Ye had no interesting in speaking to Puff. Clearly, West is still upset about all of the things that went down back in 2022. It was a bad period in Kanye’s life, and it was one that cost him a whole lot of money and relationships. Whether or not he ever comments on the Diddy raids specifically, remains to be seen.

Benny The Butcher Claims To Have Turned Down A Meeting With Donald Trump

Last year, Benny The Butcher found himself in some hot water with hip-hop fans. He made some unprompted pro Donald Trump comments online that didn’t sit well with his fanbase. Rather than trying to make his case Benny seemed content to ignore the situation and try to move on from it as quickly as possible. In an interview that came a few weeks later he refused to open up on the motivation for his comments or if he’s changed his mind. Instead, he merely said that he learned there are certain political beliefs that aren’t for sharing.

But now we may be getting an update on Benny’s feelings. For the first time since an interview last month he appears to be making a comment about the former president. “Turned down a meeting with 45 last week” a tweet he made recently reads. While he doesn’t mention Trump by name many are confident that’s exactly who he’s talking about. The former president is currently leading the race to once again become the republican nominee for this year’s presidential election. Last month, Benny The Butcher released his new album Everybody Can’t Go. The record was originally due out last year but faced delays and was pushed back until 2024. The album delivered collaborations with Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Stove God Cooks, Jadakiss, Conway The Machine, Westside Gunn, and more.

Earlier this month, Benny announced he was taking the album on tour. He and Boldy James will be hitting the road for a series of shows later this year on the “Everybody Can’t Go Tour.” The 18-date tour kicks off in mid-April and runs until May. Ice Spice met Beyonce at the 2024 Grammy Awards on Sunday night at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. In a video circulating on social media, the rapper can be seen approaching Beyonce at the ceremony. When The Neighborhood Talk shared the clip on Instagram, fans had mixed reactions.

Some complained about Ice Spice bothering the legendary singer. “Muni Long spoke on how everyone be bombarding Beyoncé at these shows. This exhibit A,” one user wrote. Another added: “Nah I feel embarrassed for ice cause it looked like b said excuse me let me greet this other girl.” Others defended the rising artist: “All the people hating on Ice saying she a fan but ain’t even in the same room as Beyoncé is wild let that girl live her best life.”

At the event, Beyonce’s husband, JAY-Z, took home the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. During his acceptance speech, he complained about the Recording Academy never recognizing Beyonce for Album of the Year. “I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year,” he said. “So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that. The most Grammys; never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work.”

Elsewhere during the ceremony, Ice Spice lost all four of her nominations including Best Rap Song, Best New Artist, and more. Andre 3000 Recalls Meeting Prince, Thought He Was Throwing Shade

During his recent appearance on the Questlove Supreme podcast, Andre 3000 reflected on meeting Prince at an LA club ahead of his 2016 death. According to the Outkast star, he wasn’t sure whether the icon was a fan of his work or not, making for a pretty nerve-wracking encounter.

“I [had] met Prince in passing. [Around the time of] The Love Below, I lived in L.A. I remember me and the homie goin’ out to a club on Sunset [Boulevard],” he began. “So I got over to this booth, and it’s Prince, and he’s sitting. And I’m very nervous, man. He motions his hand [to sit down]. I sat down and I didn’t know what to say. He could tell that I didn’t know what to say.”

“So I’m sitting there, and he starts talking about ‘Hey Ya,’” he continued. “But what he said, I didn’t know how to take it, if he was taking a dig at me or what. He said, ‘I like that song, ‘Hey Ya,’ man, like, I thought I was the only person who did songs in those tempos.’ That’s what he said to me. I didn’t know if he was like, ‘Mmm. Take that, n***a.’ I didn’t know how to take it; this is my hero.“

“The album had just come out, and we were trying to figure out the next single. And so I didn’t know what to say him, so I said, ‘Hey, have you heard the album?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah, I heard it.’ I say, ‘Well, what do you think the next single should be?’ Then he said another Prince thing; he said, ‘In my day, we only had one shot.’ Basically, he was saying, it don’t matter now, whatever you do, it don’t matter. During a recent interview, Cardi B and Offset opened up about their first time meeting. According to the duo, who have been an item since 2017, they were attracted to each other from the very beginning. Offset says that he didn’t try to take things further with her right away though, out of respect for the NYC-born rapper. It’s clear, however, that their chemistry was undeniable.

“He invited me out to the club,” Cardi began. “He got right behind me and I felt him, you know, I felt him getting close to me. I felt his breath right here, and I’m like ‘oh my lord, oh Jesus Christ.’” From there, things only continued to heat up. The performer says that she wanted to keep things cool for the time being, despite Offset having taken her breath away.

During an appearance on The Breakfast Club, the rapper revealed that Jay-Z’s book, Decoded, had a major influence on him. The rapper even says one story in the book inspired him to stay independent. He reflected on his line in his 2000 track, “Make Me Feel,” where he raps “I peep game like Jay, that’s why he didn’t sign.”

Sukihana finally got the opportunity to meet up with the self-proclaimed “Prince of PanAfricanism.” The duo shared some photos together on social media this weekend, following some back-and-forth in recent weeks. In fact, Sukihana claimed that she may even be interested in marrying Dr. Umar after hearing him talk about her. “I think I’m ready to sit with Dr. Umar,” she Tweeted earlier this month. “I seen those interviews where he spoke on me and I think he might be the one to turn me into a wife.” Dr. Umar later responded, offering to meet with her to discuss a campaign.

“The Prince of PanAfricanism is requesting a confidential meeting with sister Suki next Friday or Saturday, July 28th or 29th, ahead of his Miami Gardens lecture,” the message read. “At an undisclosed public location in South Florida to discuss her interest in collaborating on a public campaign and program to combat the sexual exploitation and abuse of black girls and women.”

This wasn’t the first time the duo crossed paths on social media. In September of last year, Sukihana shared a Tweet, claiming she “Wanna f*ck Dr. Umar leave him woke right now.” Later, she included the line in her track “Grinch.” “So where do I stand with sister Sukihana?” he responded. “As you know, with me, it’s all about politics before the poonani. It’s always revolution over romance. It is always institution building before intimacy. Liberation over lust. Business before the bedroom.”

Rick Ross shared a photo of himself with Tyler, The Creator on Instagram, Sunday, following his car show in Fayetteville, Georgia, over the weekend. “@feliciathegoat bringing his collection to @rickrosscarshow 2024,” Ross captioned the post. In the picture, Ross and Tyler appear to be sharing a laugh.

Plenty of fans commented fire and heart emojis in response to the post. “That boy collection different super vintage,” one fan wrote. Another asked: “Y’all gonna televise it right?!? C’mon Boss needs to be aired live/stream.”

Tyler and Ross also shared a video to social media promoting the event, in which Ross reflects on the first time he saw Tyler’s collection. At other points during the event, Meek Mill and Gucci Mane performed for the crowd of thousands.

As for the entirety of Ross’ car show, Fayette County authorities have said that it went over smoothly. Sheriff Barry Babb explained to WSB-TV: “Everything has run very well considering the amount of people and the small traffic ways we have here, and it’s because he hired a good team.” He also noted that last year’s set up was significantly worse. “This year, they started putting a lot of plans in place, listened to us, we listened to them.” Those plans included attendees being shuttled in from nearby shopping centers and halting traffic to allow local residents to move more freely.

Despite the event going off without a hitch, some local residents were still unhappy with Ross. “I don’t care if it went smoothly,” neighbor John E. Jones told WSB-TV. “This community is no place for a commercial event of this size and magnitude.” He added that he and other locals will once again try to stop the event from being put on next year.
