Dr. Umar Reacts To Heckler Claiming They Slept Together The Night Before Event

Dr. Umar Johnson is not nearly as know for his recent hot takes on Eminem as he is for his studies and expression on Pan-Africanism, relationship dynamics, sexuality, and so much more. He touches on a lot of spicy and often contentious topics, especially within the Black community, so it’s no surprise that folks can have pretty strong reactions. However, none of those justifiably end in violence, and a woman at the media personality’s recent appearance in Atlanta almost took things a little too far. She approached him onstage and threw something at him before security at the venue appeared.

“Who’s that queen?” Dr. Umar Johnson asked plainly when the woman approached him, and she seemed to claim that they had slept together the night before. He claimed that he had never seen her in his life, and security promptly escorted her out as he continued his speech and riled the crowd up to quickly move past that interruption. Fortunately, the 49-year-old avoided any serious or harmful situation, and could go back to delivering his unfiltered and steamy takes on pop culture. Another recent topic of debate was his accusations against Cassie and Christian Keyes for “financial exploitation” amid their claims of sexual abuse against powerful individuals.

If that sounds confusing, it’s because Dr. Umar has spent a lot of time calling out people who call others out, making it a pretty cyclical interaction sometimes. Say what you will about his views, but it’s clear that his thoughts and how he carries himself as a personality has garnered a lot of sympathizers. Some are very questionable, such as Andrew Tate, but who’s to say there can’t be common ground? Hopefully people just look at these topics at face value and don’t let other perspectives or biases cloud them.

Meanwhile, other supporters appreciated the Philly native’s criticism of Vanessa Bryant for how she handled her money after Kobe’s tragic loss. Whether that’s wrong or not is up to you to decide, but it’s clear that his views can often come across as very harmful to their intended targets. Maybe Dr. Umar’s next responses and events will see him turn a new leaf and be more empathetic and understanding rather than demonizing. With that in mind, stay up to date on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Umar Johnson.

[WATCH] Dr. Umar Johnson Sparks Controversy With Views On Promiscuity, Rappers And Colorism

Screen Shot 2024 01 17 at 12.17.51 PM

In a recent appearance on the “Highly Initiated” podcast, social media influencer Dr. Umar Johnson stirred up more controversy with his statements linking emotional damage to sexual promiscuity in women. The podcast, which aired on January 14, featured Dr. Umar expressing his views on the impact of emotional trauma on relationships.

During the discussion, Dr. Umar shared, “If you are traumatized, if you are emotionally damaged; you are promiscuous.” He went on to say that emotionally traumatized individuals seek constant validation from others, leading to behaviors he associates with promiscuity.

His main argument is the belief that children need both parents for emotional and psychological development, emphasizing the significance of a father figure. Dr. Umar stated, “If a woman’s father loved her, she won’t have trouble loving a man,” suggesting that a father’s presence in a child’s life is crucial for healthy emotional development.

According to Dr. Umar, women who had their fathers actively involved in their lives “operate in the dating game completely different” compared to those who did not. He implies that the absence of a father figure may contribute to trust issues and a lack of confidence in navigating relationships for some women.

His remarks have sparked discussions around personal experiences, parenting, and the impact on romantic relationships.

Critics point out that attributing promiscuity solely to emotional trauma may perpetuate harmful stereotypes and stigmatize individuals who have experienced trauma. It raises concerns about the potential for victim-blaming and reinforces outdated beliefs about women’s behavior based on their upbringing. He also spoke on rappers showing color preferences including Jay-Z and ‘woke’ black conscious communities.

MC Shan Dismisses Dr. Umar’s Eminem Comments: “You Know That N***a Nice”

The GOAT debate is one of the pillars of hip-hop community discussion, and one contender in particular carries more baggage than most. Eminem is widely respected as one of the most impactful and skilled lyricists in rap history, but his status as the biggest rapper paired with the fact that he’s white doesn’t sit well with many. Dr. Umar Johnson recently reopened this grievance, saying that to call Em the best rapper of all time would be “white supremacy.” Many took issue with this dismissal, including Queensbridge legend MC Shan, who recently blasted Umar on Instagram Live on Saturday (December 30).

“Mister motherf***ing Umar, you just make everything a race thing, n***a,” MC Shan exclaimed. “Everything ain’t no f***ing race thing. Eminem– motherf***er, you know that n***a nice. Em deserves a motherf***ing slot in this game! Em wasn’t no rich motherf***er that come and rob the rap game, and step off. Em motherf***ing came in this motherf***er, he had more problems than any Black n***a. His plate was just as f***ed up as some of us in the Black community. Nobody’s robbing us.

MC Shan Defends Eminem Against Dr. Umar’s Dismissal: Watch

“If you don’t wanna respect him, you do what you do, n***a,” MC Shan continued. “We don’t f**k with you anyway like that, n***a. We talk our hip-hop s**t. You talking Black racial, Black f***ing culture rhythm. Yeah, we on that, but n***a, we don’t f**k with that s**t. Leave us over here. Em is down with us, son.” Furthermore, this is ironic because, in his double-down of this perspective, Umar made it clear that he has no personal issue with Eminem. His artistry is undeniable, but he called to attention people who call him the best, which to him is blasphemous.

Meanwhile, Shan got out of a feud with Nas earlier this year, so maybe there will be a reconciliation with the media figure down the line. Both men are definitely not alone in their indignation, and it’s a conversation that might persist for the rest of time. As long as Slim Shady is relevant and beloved, we’ll get so many differing perspectives on what his legacy should be. On that note, come back to HNHH for more news and updates on Eminem, Dr. Umar, and MC Shan.

Johnson’s claim was responded to with immediate challenges from the JBP cast. You can hear it all below.

Sukihana Reveals Where She Stands With Dr. Umar

Sukihana is someone who has been garnering quite a bit of attention as of late. Overall, she is an incredibly entertaining person. Her music is provocative and fun, while her online persona continues to garner some fans. However, she has certainly been hit with a bit of criticism as of late. Much of this stems from that extremely NSFW video that went viral a few weeks ago. Although, she was quick to tell people that she doesn’t care and that she knows who she is as a person.

That said, a few weeks ago, Suki actually turned some heads by saying that she wanted to meet with Dr. Umar Johnson. The infamous psychologist is someone who has made quite a name for himself online. A lot of people love what he does, and Suki has certainly been intrigued by a potential meeting. That said, she posted some pictures with Dr. Umar over the weekend, saying “Met a Pan Afrikan king today.” This subsequently led to people wondering if they actually had their chat or not.

Sukihana Links Up With Dr. Umar

Sukihana finally got the opportunity to meet up with the self-proclaimed “Prince of PanAfricanism.” The duo shared some photos together on social media this weekend, following some back-and-forth in recent weeks. In fact, Sukihana claimed that she may even be interested in marrying Dr. Umar after hearing him talk about her. “I think I’m ready to sit with Dr. Umar,” she Tweeted earlier this month. “I seen those interviews where he spoke on me and I think he might be the one to turn me into a wife.” Dr. Umar later responded, offering to meet with her to discuss a campaign.

“The Prince of PanAfricanism is requesting a confidential meeting with sister Suki next Friday or Saturday, July 28th or 29th, ahead of his Miami Gardens lecture,” the message read. “At an undisclosed public location in South Florida to discuss her interest in collaborating on a public campaign and program to combat the sexual exploitation and abuse of black girls and women.”

Sukihana Poses With Dr. Umar

This wasn’t the first time the duo crossed paths on social media. In September of last year, Sukihana shared a Tweet, claiming she “Wanna f*ck Dr. Umar leave him woke right now.” Later, she included the line in her track “Grinch.” “So where do I stand with sister Sukihana?” he responded. “As you know, with me, it’s all about politics before the poonani. It’s always revolution over romance. It is always institution building before intimacy. Liberation over lust. Business before the bedroom.”

“Sister Sukihana if you go down this path, you can never come back,” the doctor continued. “We’re not going going to deal with the none of the intimacy because that’s nobody’s business and we not going to be into no intimacy until we get any work done in the first place.” It’s unclear what the duo discussed during the meetup, however, fans have continued to speculate.

Stephen A. Smith Responds To Dr. Umar Johnson Wishing 50,000 Lashes Upon Him

Of all of the sports commentators in the world, Stephen A. is definitely one of the most polarizing. Overall, he is someone who is highly respected amongst others in his profession. However, there are a lot of fans out there who don’t like his opinions, especially when they conflict with their own.

One opinion that really set Twitter ablaze came a few weeks ago. Of course, we are talking about his take on Jerry Jones. At the time, Jones had been exposed for attending a pro-segregation rally at his high school. Although Jones was just 14 years old at the time, many felt like this was a damning blemish on his role as Cowboys owner. Smith, however, defended Jones, noting that he was a young adolescent and that he doesn’t deserve to be judged for what happened over 60 years ago.

Dr. Umar Speaks Out

Perhaps the largest detractor of Smith’s on this issue was none other than Dr. Umar Johnson. Dr. Umar is a larger-than-life figure who is always quick to comment on hot topics that have to do with race and culture. During an interview with The Breakfast Club, Umar put Stephen A. on blast for his Jones comments, noting that they were unacceptable.

In one of his own livestreams, Dr. Umar said that Smith deserved 50,000 lashings for his comments. Dr. Umar has continuously used lashing imagery for those he disagrees with, and it has led to numerous viral videos.

Stephen A. Replies

Smith has a brand-new podcast called “Know Mercy,” and today, he issued a response to Dr. Umar. Instead of being animated and upset, Smith offered a measured tone. Smith felt like Dr. Umar’s comments were disgusting and ill-advised given the historical context of the brutal punishment.

“All I have to say to Dr. Umar Johnson is this,” Stephen A. began. “I don’t know any human being alive I would wish 50,000 lashes on. Respectfully, how low can you go? Never met you, don’t know you. Educated brother. I wish you nothing but the best. But you would wish that upon another human being? A brother? Really? That’s how low you would go?”

Smith is someone who has never taken these kinds of comments lightly, so it should come as no surprise that he decided to respond. For many, however, these are two worlds that they never thought would collide.

Dr. Umar Johnson Claims Kim Kardashian “Used” Kanye West Following $200K Child Support Order

While sitting down with The Breakfast Club, Dr. Umar Johnson offered his take on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West after the rapper was recently ordered to pay $200K per month in child support.

Saying that the Kardashian “used” West, Johnson also called the six-figure child support payments “ridiculous,” pointing out that both celebrities are rich.

In the interview, which was posted online early Friday, DJ Envy asked Johnson if things would be different for the Donda rapper if he was with a Black woman.

“Oh absolutely. I think Kim Kardashian used him,” he said straightaway. “And the fact that they’re making that man pay $200,000 a month in child support when both he and the wife are billionaires are absolutely ridiculous. I think that they wanna break him.”

Seemingly alluding to West’s recent controversial comments, Johnson added, “And although I don’t agree with the way in which Kanye articulated some of his thoughts, I appreciate the fact that he was the first Black man since Michael Jackson to speak truth to power.”

As HotNewHipHop previously reported, West and Kardashian finalized their divorce last month. The reality star filed back in February 2021.

The pair will now share custody of their kids, with the Chicago native ordered to dish out $200,000 per month in child support payments.

West will also be responsible for half of their four children’s security and education expenses.

Following reports of the child support order, many fans referenced lyrics from West’s hit song “Gold Digger” despite Kardashian having wealth long before dating her ex-husband.
