Ice Cube Puts Fan On Blast For Accusing Him Of “Aligning With White Supremacists”

Ice Cube has hit back at a fan who accused him of “aligning with white supremacists” after Cube said The Big3 League would stream on X next season. “Shut yo b-tch a– up! I ain’t aligned with nothing, punk. I draw my own f-cking lines,” Cube wrote. The fan had pointed out that the streaming decision somewhat endorsed Musk’s free speech absolutism, which has been most readily endorsed by the far right. “I respect your response but just look and see who Elon connects himself to and tell me I’m wrong. I still have respect for Cube, always will. However I’m not blind to his who he aligns with. I like the Big 3, Both things can be right at the same time,” the fan wrote.

The Big3 returns in June, maintaining its traveling league format. As well as X, the league will stream on CBS and Paramount+. Cube has previously taken aim at Musk. Last year, the rapper posted memes on X making fun of the website’s decline under Musk’s ownership.

Elon Musk Rants About Jeff Bezos’ Ex-Wife, People Call Him “The Most Divorced Man On The Internet

Elsewhere, people have labeled Elon Musk “the most divorced man on the Internet” after the X owner tweeted about the ex-wife of Jeff Bezos. Musk had gone after MacKenzie Scott for her charitable donations, writing “‘Super rich ex-wives who hate their former spouse’ should be listed among ‘Reasons that Western Civilization died’.” Scott, who has stated that she wants to “give away all of her money”, has given over $16.5 billion, with over half that going to charities focused on gender and race issues.

However, the internet has taken this as yet another opportunity to dunk on the South African-born billionaire. As mentioned, the label of “most divorced man on the internet” was once again raised for Musk. His posts have become increasingly bitter after his divorce from Grimes. It is worth mentioning that he has since deleted his post about Scott.

MC Shan Dismisses Dr. Umar’s Eminem Comments: “You Know That N***a Nice”

The GOAT debate is one of the pillars of hip-hop community discussion, and one contender in particular carries more baggage than most. Eminem is widely respected as one of the most impactful and skilled lyricists in rap history, but his status as the biggest rapper paired with the fact that he’s white doesn’t sit well with many. Dr. Umar Johnson recently reopened this grievance, saying that to call Em the best rapper of all time would be “white supremacy.” Many took issue with this dismissal, including Queensbridge legend MC Shan, who recently blasted Umar on Instagram Live on Saturday (December 30).

“Mister motherf***ing Umar, you just make everything a race thing, n***a,” MC Shan exclaimed. “Everything ain’t no f***ing race thing. Eminem– motherf***er, you know that n***a nice. Em deserves a motherf***ing slot in this game! Em wasn’t no rich motherf***er that come and rob the rap game, and step off. Em motherf***ing came in this motherf***er, he had more problems than any Black n***a. His plate was just as f***ed up as some of us in the Black community. Nobody’s robbing us.

MC Shan Defends Eminem Against Dr. Umar’s Dismissal: Watch

“If you don’t wanna respect him, you do what you do, n***a,” MC Shan continued. “We don’t f**k with you anyway like that, n***a. We talk our hip-hop s**t. You talking Black racial, Black f***ing culture rhythm. Yeah, we on that, but n***a, we don’t f**k with that s**t. Leave us over here. Em is down with us, son.” Furthermore, this is ironic because, in his double-down of this perspective, Umar made it clear that he has no personal issue with Eminem. His artistry is undeniable, but he called to attention people who call him the best, which to him is blasphemous.

Meanwhile, Shan got out of a feud with Nas earlier this year, so maybe there will be a reconciliation with the media figure down the line. Both men are definitely not alone in their indignation, and it’s a conversation that might persist for the rest of time. As long as Slim Shady is relevant and beloved, we’ll get so many differing perspectives on what his legacy should be. On that note, come back to HNHH for more news and updates on Eminem, Dr. Umar, and MC Shan.

Dr. Umar Doubles Down On Eminem Comments

Dr. Umar once again lit the Internet on fire with his belief that Eminem should never enter the “best rapper of all time” conversation. According to him, doing so would constitute as white supremacy, as it’s impossible for a non-Black person to excel the most at a Black art form, tradition, practice, etc. It was quite the topic of conversation online, albeit an old one, and there’s not much wrong with that the psychologist and social media provocateur originally said. After all, it’s just a take, and one that he recently clarified during a new social media video. In it, the North Philly native explained how this is nothing personal against Marshall Mathers, but rather a matter of cultural preservation and adherence.

“I said that no non-African can ever be the best of anything in African culture,” Umar Johnson’s IG Live clip began. “You can’t be the best cook of African food, you can’t be the best rapper of African hip-hop, you can’t be the best singer, you can’t be the best priest of African culture. Nothing we create can a non-African be the best at. First of all. It makes absolutely no sense at all.

Dr. Umar Revisits His Eminem Take: Watch

“I don’t even see how an African can come to the conclusion that a non-African can be the best at anything when we are the oldest people,” Dr. Umar went on. “We are the first people, and we are the most numerous people. So when you say a non-African is better at X, Y, and Z than a member of the race, you’re saying that this person can do this better than two billion Africans. Or you’re saying not only can they do it better than two billion Africans on the planet, you’re saying they can do it better than all of the billions of Africans that have ever walked the planet Earth. You know and I know that that is absolutely ridiculous. You know like I know that that is absolutely ridiculous.

“This is not about Mr. Marshall Mathers, I don’t have nothing personal against that man,” he concluded. “But from a cultural integrity perspective, haven’t they stolen enough from us? Haven’t they appropriated enough from us? Haven’t they robbed, [stolen], killed, enslaved, lynched, miseducated, mass-incarcerated, politically dominated us enough? You mean to tell me that after 404 years you got Black people running around playing defense attorney and cheerleader for white folks? The fact that you got Black people arguing for a white man to be considered the greatest of all time in an African art form speaks to how psychologically ill we are as a race of people.” For more news and updates on Eminem and Umar Johnson, come back to HNHH.

50 Cent Speak On Kanye: “He Stepped On A Landmine”

We’re closing out the week with a bang, thanks to Kanye West. This morning (January 13), rumors surfaced that West had remarried, setting social media on fire. The rapper reportedly wed Yeezy architect Bianca Censori, the woman he was recently seen with in Beverly Hills. While details regarding this rumored marriage continue to take over timelines, a clip of 50 Cent on Big Boy’s Neighborhood has also stolen attention.

Prior to Ye’s recent news, Fif caught up with the famed show and addressed a wide range of topics related to Hip Hop. He also admitted he owed Megan Thee Stallion an apology after trolling her over Tory Lanez. Elsewhere in the conversation, Big Boy wanted to know 50 Cent’s thoughts on Kanye West.

“I don’t know what to—I really didn’t know what the goal was,” said Fif. “‘Cause he just was sayin’ everything you’re not supposed to say. I think, intentionally. It was White Lives Matter first. And then nobody jumps on his because… It didn’t have that effect. You angered some people with that and then just taking it a step further. He just stepped on a landmine.”

50 Cent was also asked about West’s terminated deal with Adidas following the Yeezy mogul’s anti-Semitic remarks. Fif noted that “corporations have guidelines,” and even if you have freedom of speech, it can still have consequences.

“He shouldn’t have done that,” the Power creator said. “What is the goal? What was the purpose of that?”

Most of the victims in Saturday’s mass shooting were Black, and the alleged gunman, identified as Payton Gendron is a white male. Officials say the 18-year-old suspect drove from near the Pennsylvania state line to commit the attack and livestreamed the attack on Twitch.

NBC News reports a manifesto allegedly written by Gendron was posted on Google Docs Thursday night. The document allegedly lays out plans to attack Black people, and promotes conspiracy theory claims that white people are being replaced by minorities in the U.S.
