Kanye West Sued By Former Employee Who Claims Racism, Anti-Semitism At Donda Academy

The Gap Sues Kanye West Following Failed Partnership

Music and fashion mogul Kanye West is facing yet another lawsuit; this time by an ex-employee of Yeezy and Donda Academy who claims that West had some weird plans for the students of Donda and even alleges that anti-Semitism and racism were common themes in the academy.

Trevor Phillips claims Kanye West wanted to install a jail at his school to “cage” students, threatened to punch him during a “temper tantrum” and gave preferential treatment to white employees, according to a new lawsuit obtained by Rolling Stone. On Tuesday in Los Angeles, Phillips joined a number of former employees who are suing the 46-year-old. The 42-page complaint gives a behind-the-scenes look at what Phillips says it’s like to work for the self-proclaimed “genius”.

Phillips’ suit says he come onboard with the Yeezy organization in 2022 at the apex of West’s anti-Semitic rant recoil and explains he was tasked with growing the cotton production for Kanye’s fashion line. Phillips claims his duties quickly expanded and started to encompass handling Ye’s Donda Academy school as well, which he says started to experience difficulty as a result of Kanye’s public rants.

Phillips also claims Kanye shared his antisemitic views with Donda Academy employees and students. During one particular meeting, Phillips alleges Ye was spewing antisemitic rhetoric as he announced, in front of 2 children, he wanted to shave their heads and intended to put a jail at the school, threatening students could be locked in cages under his proposed plan.

Phillips claims Ye declared he intended to go on the attack against gay people too, allegedly saying, “Gay people are not true Christians. And gay people are controlled by Bill Gates so that they don’t have children for population control.”

Phillips also alleges Ye made a habit of berating and bullying Black employees, including himself, at Donda. In the end, he says he was fired by Kanye on a whim in May 2023 during a Sunday Service because Kanye didn’t like the garden on display during the service.

Phillips is suing Kanye for discrimination, harassment, hostile work environment and a host of other things. He’s seeking an undisclosed amount in punitive damages. TheSource.com will update this story as details develop.

Kanye West Reveals Why He Can’t Be Anti-Semitic And Why He Can’t Be Canceled

Kanye West is someone who has always been controversial. Overall, he has maintained a certain level of controversy ever since he burst onto the scene. However, things took a turn for the absolute worst back in 2022. This is when Ye started making anti-semitic ramblings. Furthermore, he began hanging out with white nationalists like Nick Fuentes. It was all very concerning but Ye kept up the charade. Now, he has an album out and there are people who have essentially forgotten about his existence.

That said, there are still millions of people ready to support Ye, no matter what. Recently, the Vultures rapper was approached by TMZ while at the airport. It was here where he was asked whether or not he apologizes for the things he said in the past. Overall, Ye wasn’t too focused on dishing out an apology. Instead, he claimed that the only ones he feels bad for are Jewish kids. He also claimed that he could not be anti-semitic because black people are the real Semitic people.

Kanye West Speaks Out

As for cancelation, well, Ye feels as though cancelation is simply something that cannot happen to him. He believes that this is because he is simply too interesting of an artist for people to stop listening to. It is a pretty interesting theory. Although if you look at what is happening with Anthony Fantano right now, it is clear that Ye just has a cultish fanbase. They believe in everything he does, and if you disagree, you are somehow the bad guy. Either way, Ye continues to succeed, despite everything.

Lil Dicky Reveals Just How Good Kanye West Is At Basketball, Addresses Ye’s Past Anti-Semitism

Lil Dicky is an artist who has certainly taken a break from releasing music. Although he is mostly known for his comedic tracks that embody a specific concept, he has since pivoted to television. His show Dave was a hit, even if it might never come back. Regardless, Dicky is someone that fans have gravitated towards. Overall, he is a funny guy, and he has gotten co-signs from some pretty massive artists. Having said that, he recently chopped it up with Andrew Schulz, where they spoke on a plethora of topics.

During one portion of the conversation, they discussed none other than Kanye West. As it turns out, Dicky knows Ye very well, and it is all because they played rec-league basketball together. The artist and actor said he used to guard Ye while playing three-on-three full-court basketball. Moreover, Ye used to invite him over to his house and they would listen to music together. Needless to say, they had a bromance going on. Unfortunately, Ye changed his number, as he does every so often. From there, Dicky lost contact with him.

Subsequently, they spoke about how Ye has had an anti-semitic streak as of late. Dicky defended Ye a bit, saying that Kanye knew he was Jewish and always treated him with kindness and respect. Schulz offered some pushback there, especially given everything that Ye has been saying this past year. However, Dicky is confident that Ye will do what is right and that while he oftentimes says the wrong thing, he has no hate in his heart. Only time will tell whether or not Kanye is able to prove Lil Dicky correct on that one.

Kanye West Reportedly Filmed A 40-Minute Apology For His Anti-Semitic Ramblings

Kanye West got himself into a lot of trouble at the end of 2022 thanks to his sickening anti-semitism. Overall, his pivot to Nazi talking points was unexpected, to say the least. Although some thought it was simply a ploy to leave Adidas, it appeared to be much more than that. He was on Alex Jones’ show and he was even working with white supremacist Nick Fuentes. Needless to say, it was a very harrowing time for those who care about the artist. Even now, many of his fans feel alienated from ever supporting him again.

As it stands, Ye is in the midst of a messy rollout for his new album, Vultures. The album has been hit with some serious delays as of late. At this point, no one really knows if it is ever going to come out. However, the fact that it hasn’t been scrapped yet is at least a little bit encouraging. That said, according to TMZ, Ye has plans to release a special video ahead of his album’s release. The content of this video? Well, it is apparently a 40-minute apology to anyone he offended over his anti-semitism.

As the outlet reports, Ye sat down with camera crews and filmed a lengthy apology. Although the content of the apology is unknown, it’s clear that he wants to make amends. Regardless, Vultures is currently set for a February 9th release, which means the apology could be coming out very soon.

Let us know what you think of this development, in the comments section below. Do you think Ye is going to be sincere? Can Kanye West’s Apology To The Jewish Community Repair His Reputation?

Kanye West is well-acquainted with controversy. The prominent figure has a long history of making antisemitic comments against the Jewish community. Just two weeks ago, the artist went on a rant in Las Vegas while promoting his upcoming album Vultures. During his tirade, he implied sinister connections to Jewish influence and drew parallels between himself, Jesus Christ, and Adolf Hitler. Now, the rapper seems to have suddenly turned a new leaf, and Ye has apologized for his past antisemitic remarks. However, it’s safe to say that many haven’t held their breath. With a long history of controversy attached to his legacy, it’s enough to wonder if this newfound apology by Kanye is enough to mend his reputation.

An Instapology?

Kanye recently took to Instagram to issue an apology to the Jewish community for his past antisemitic words and actions. Translated from Hebrew, the post read: “I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions. It was not my intention to offend or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused. I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me, and I am committed to making amends and promoting unity.”

Crucial Steps Towards Reconciliation

First and foremost, acknowledging mistakes and apologizing are crucial steps towards reconciliation. Kanye West’s public apology demonstrates that he recognizes his previous words and actions may have impacted the Jewish community. However, the effectiveness of an apology depends on its sincerity and the actions that follow. Therefore, on the surface, a one-time apology might not be enough. To fully mend the damage caused by years of hate speech, Kanye has to show that this is more than a mere apology. He must make continuous efforts to educate himself, engage with the affected community, and actively work towards promoting understanding.

The Public’s Perspective On Kanye West’s Apology

Another factor to be considered is the Jewish community’s perspective on the matter. Kanye West’s apology isn’t intended for everyone, and the targeted audience remains split. Antisemitism has a long and troubling history, and many public figures have made remarks that hurt the Jewish people. Therefore, the extent to which Ye is accepted will depend on how the affected community perceives his sincerity. And honestly, it is not looking good.

The public’s perception also plays a pivotal role in the entertainment industry, and reputations are fragile. While the apology posted by Kanye was written in Hebrew, many have since pointed out that it was merely a blanket apology. Notably, it did not allude to any specific action or statement that Kanye had made in the past. Furthermore, the way the apology was written made many wonder whether it was, in fact, really written by Kanye.

The post’s comment section is filled with many claiming that the apology is the work of Kanye’s publicity team. Due to his recent livestream of his Vultures album, there’s also the assumption that the artist is after a quick buck. These suspicions, although uncertain, are some of the reasons why some remain unconvinced. Whether or not Kanye meant his apology cannot truly be determined, except with time.

Time Will Tell

While Ye’s apology is a step in the right direction, the journey towards rebuilding trust requires consistency. Moreover, it requires a sustained commitment to change. Kanye must demonstrate through his future behavior that he has indeed learned from his past. Sincere efforts to learn and grow will be crucial in repairing his severely damaged reputation. Overall, only time can tell whether Ye is truly seeking to foster peace and unity moving forward.  Several incidents have left even his most die-hard fans flustered. Nonetheless, nobody is above unlearning and re-learning, and a more enlightened and responsible Kanye West just might be here. However, it’s way too soon to tell.

Michael Rapaport Calls Kanye West A “Fat Pile Of Sh*t” And Says Donda Would Be “Embarrassed” Of Him

Michael Rapaport has unleashed a scathing rant about Kanye West. “You fat pile of sh-t. You fat, washed up pile of sh-t. What are you – CIA? FBI? You a fed, you fat f-ck? You fat bloated f-ck. Jewish people are going through enough. We don’t need your fat f-cking dusty a– saying anything. If your mother was still alive, she’d be embarrassed. You’re an embarrassment to Donda. You got a new record coming out? Brick. No one’s f-cking with your music. You look like sh-t and I bet you smell like sh-t too,” the actor said.

Rapaport, who has become a viral sensation for his TikTok defenses of Israel since renewed hostilities between Israel and Palestine, was responding to comments West made during a listening party rant for Vultures. the rant took aim at the Jewish community, Adidas, and individuals like JAY-Z and Drake. “N-gga just cause I had a car, n-gga. F-ck everybody, n-gga. That’s what I’m trying to say to you n-ggas right f-cking now, n-gga. Drake, this is what you been waiting for. Jay-Z, this is what you been waiting for. Azealia Banks Calls Kanye West A “Fat Smelly Loser”

However, Rapaport isn’t the only person coming for Kanye. Azealia Banks took aim at West, specifically for his comments attacking Nicki Minaj. “Okay. Now I’m really pissed the f-ck off. Regardless of how I feel about PF2, did fat smelly loser Kanye west really just try step all over Nicki’s release? Did I hear correctly when he tried to take credit for supporting her career?????” Banks wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Minaj and Kanye are feuding because Minaj refused to clear her verse for “New Body”, a track set to appear on Kanye’s upcoming album, Vultures. “New Body” was originally meant to appear on the unreleased Yandhi. However, it was reworked into a Christian track for Jesus Is King but creative differences between Kanye and Minaj meant that the song was left off the album. Ty Dolla $ign implied on his track “Status” in 2020 that Kanye refused to release the song because it was “generic shit”.

Kanye West Catches Heat From The ADL Over “Vultures” Lyrics

Kanye West is someone who has consistently gotten himself into a bit of trouble thanks to his personal comments. Overall, this has been a problem for a long time with him. Last year, it truly got to its worst point thanks to his rampant anti-semitism. This turned out to be a breaking point for a lot of people. After all, he was hanging out with self-proclaimed white supremacists, all while perpetuating evil stereotypes. However, he is still making music, and there are fans who want to hear it.

For instance, he just dropped a new song called “Vultures.” In this song, he delivers some bizarre lyrics about Jewish women. Overall, the lyrics feel very out of place and they were very clearly a way to garner a reaction. Fans were not super thrilled with the lyrics, and as you can imagine, a lot of anti-hate groups didn’t like it either. According to TMZ, the Anti-Defamation League has come out, saying “At a time of rising antisemitism worldwide, it’s disgusting to see Kanye once again use his platform to spew Jew hatred.”

Moreover, the American Jewish Committee is also speaking out about Kanye. In their eyes, this is just another sad attempt in which Ye is denigrating Jewish people. “To fuel the flames of antisemitism and promote such bile to his millions of followers, especially at this fraught and dangerous time for the Jewish community, is unforgivable,” the group said. At this point, it feels like Ye just won’t stop. He knows that these kinds of comments add to the rollout, even if people are offended. Hopefully, he wises up, sooner or later.

Elon Musk’s Anti-Semitic Tweets Leads To Another Advertising Exodus

The promotion of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories by Elon Musk has led another slew of prominent companies to pull their advertising from the site. Apple, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, and IBM have all ceased their advertising campaigns on the site. This cam after Musk openly embraced an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory as “the actual truth”. Oracle, Paramount, and Xfinity have also reported the suspension of their advertising. It’s likely that more companies will following the coming days as Musk appears to double down on his statements.

Earlier this week, Musk was seen replying “the actual truth” to a post promoting an anti-semitic conspiracy. The conspiracy in question that Jewish communities are “supporting hordes of minorities” that are “flooding” into Western nations to replace white people. The conspiracy theory is a version of the Great Replacement Theory. The notion is used by white supremacists to justify their opposition to multiculturalism and immigration. Furthermore, advertisers have told multiple outlets that they do not wish to see their products advertised alongside Neo-Nazi content that Musk now appears to be actively promoting.

Musk Single-Handedly Derails X’s Rebuilding Efforts

Earlier this year, Musk hired respected industry veteran Linda Yaccarino as X’s new CEO. Yaccarino’s role was to entice users and brands back to the site as advertising revenue plummeted and Musk’s premium subscription by failed to make up for the resulting deficit. However, Musk has seemingly thwarted Yaccarino at every turn. This has made it very clear that she is essentially nothing more than a public figure while he continues to run the site. After stepping down as CEO, Musk gave himself the new role of “Chief Technology Officer”.

Musk has attempted to hit back at the criticism, calling non-profit watchdog Media Matter For America an “evil organization”. Furthermore, Yaccarino released a statement saying that X was firmly committed to combatting anti-Semitism. However, the opposite appeared to be increasingly true. Various investigations have uncovered that thanks to X’s ad-revenue scheme, the company is paying out thousands of dollars a month to neo-nazis and Holocaust deniers. This remains a developing story.

Kanye West Defense From Adidas CEO Leads To Swift Clarification From The Brand

Kanye West and Adidas are no longer business partners. Although they made billions of dollars together, it became clear they needed to split. Following Kanye’s barrage of anti-semitic remarks, Adidas took action and put an end to their contract. However, they had to rejoin forces recently so they could sell off a whole bunch of Yeezy stock. It was a successful restock that allowed Ye and Adidas to get some money back after staggering losses.

Recently, the Kanye x Adidas partnership was relitigated by none other than Adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden. Gulden was on a podcast where he revealed how he believes Ye is not a bad person. Moreover, he praised him for his creativity. “I think Kanye West is one of the most creative people in the world, both in music and what I would call street culture. He’s extremely creative,” Gulden said. “I don’t think he meant what he said and I don’t think he’s a bad person, it just came across that way.”

Kanye West x Adidas

Of course, a lot of people took issue with this as they felt it was a diminishing of Ye’s words. Well, Adidas decided to take action and issued a statement to the Associated Press. In this statement, they make it clear that they feel like the end of their Ye partnership was the right thing to do. “Our decision to end our partnership with Ye because of his unacceptable comments and behavior was absolutely the right one,” Adidas exclaimed. “Our stance has not changed: Hate of any kind has no place in sports or society, and we remain committed to fighting it.”

This was a small but significant controversy for Adidas given the fact that they had to respond. Hopefully, they have learned their lesson as it pertains to Ye. Sarah Silverman Thinks She Knows Why Rihanna Didn’t Bring Out Kanye During Her Super Bowl Performance: ‘There Wasn’t Enough Room For Her Dancers To Form A Swastika’

Whether you loved it or not, people can’t stop talking about Rihanna’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, which might go down in history as the most watched public pregnancy announcement in the history of the world. While Donald Trump wasn’t impressed by what he called an “EPIC FAIL” of a performance, RiRi somehow managed to overcome the former president’s review and dethrone Taylor Swift as Spotify’s top artist.

Amongst detractors, two of the biggest complaints seemed to be Rihanna’s decision to not turn the halftime spectacle into a who’s who of former collaborators. Yet she was also criticized for “honoringKanye West by including “All of the Lights” in her medley of hits — a song she performed with Ye, which appeared on his 2010 album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Which only goes to prove that you can’t please everyone — though Sarah Silverman has a pretty solid theory as to why the artist formerly known as Kanye wasn’t invited by Rihanna to participate. As the comedian explained during her first night as The Daily Show’s newest guest host:

Some people were surprised that Rihanna didn’t bring out Kanye West during “All of the Lights.” But when you think about it, it makes sense. Because there wasn’t enough space for her dancers to form a swastika.

While the comment was met with some surprise by the audience, Silverman assured viewers that “I can say that because I’m a Nazi.”

You can watch Silverman’s full review of Rihanna’s performance — and how she upped the bar for pregnant women everywhere — above.
