DaBaby Collab With Anthony Hamilton Gets Blasted On Twitter

DaBaby and Anthony Hamilton just put out a video for their almost year-old collaboration, “BLANK.” Moreover, the track appeared on Baby’s 2022 album, Baby On Baby 2, which received generally disappointing reviews and marked a commercial downturn. Still, his career lives on, and many fans particularly enjoyed this collaboration. However, upon the recent release of its music video, many took to Twitter to express disappointment in this track. Of course, people pointed out not just the public outrage associated with the Charlotte rapper, but also commented on his musical output.

“If we want to move forward as a people we really have to look in the mirror and figure out what role we as as individuals had in making that Anthony Hamilton and Dababy song happen,” one Twitter user wrote passionately. “I get why folks are mad at Anthony Hamilton for that DaBaby collab,” another expressed. “But outside of that… that song sounds terrible.” Meanwhile, other people noted the sheer surprise factor of such an unexpected collaboration and sound for both artists. “DaBaby featuring Anthony Hamilton was absolutely not on my 2023 bingo card,” one tweeter shared. Well, technically 2022, but the video seems to have really drawn people to that spot on the tracklist.

DaBaby & Anthony Hamilton’s Divisive “BLANK” Collab

As far as the music video itself, it depicts a lavish, dramatic, and fatal relationship and sees both artists dressing dapper. Despite the technical skill at play and the concept at its core, many just focused on the song itself. However, it’s not like the song is universally panned, showing that maybe the hate train can get too exaggerated. “That DaBaby Anthony Hamilton song is actually straight,” a fan remarked. “Glad to see bruh switching it up some.”

Meanwhile, DaBaby continues to see success and continue his career trajectory, albeit often outside of the U.S. For example, he recently revealed that his shows in Hong Kong were almost completely sold out. While this is part of a campaign to show the media he’s still got it, many took his boasting as another knock against him. Regardless, one side won’t turn the other over, and he’ll likely continue to see success no matter who he collaborates with or what he does… as long as his core fans stick by him. Nicki Minaj Shows Off Curves In “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” Music Video Snippet

Nicki Minaj is fresh off of the release of her latest single, “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” which undoubtedly marked the return of the Queen of Rap. Though 2022 produced a handful of singles, including her first solo chart-topping record, “Super Freaky Girl,” she was warming up to come through strong. Her latest single evidently proved that she was returning to the fold for good with a follow-up to Queen expected to arrive in the near future.

Nicki’s getting things in order before she comes through with her next album. At the time she released the single, she also confirmed that she was launching her own record label. So far, she’s signed Tate Kobang, Nana Fofie, Rico Danna, and London Hill to the imprint, though it seems like she’s holding out until they make their official debut. Still, everything is in place for Nicki to come through and take control of the summer.

Nicki Minaj Previews “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” Music Video

Nicki began revving up for the release of “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” during her trip to Trinidad for Carnival. During her stay, she performed for her fans and even shared some teaser footage to promote her latest record. However, it appears that she used her time in Trinidad to film the music video in its entirety. Nick took to Instagram where she shared a snippet of the video where she looks absolutely stunning as she overlooks the seaside at a luxurious estate.

At this point, Nicki Minaj hasn’t confirmed a release date for the music video. However, it could come sometime soon and perhaps, propel the song higher on the Billboard Hot 100. “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” already made a mark on the charts as it debuted at #13. Additionally, Nicki Minaj tied Drake for the third most #1 songs in U.S. Digital Song Sales with the success of “Red Ruby Da Sleeze.” Maybe, the Lumidee-sampling single helps Nicki secure her second solo #1 on the Hot 100. Check out the preview of Nicki Minaj’s upcoming music video for “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments. Florida Rapper Arrested After Bragging About Murder In Music Video

Authorities in Florida arrested a local rapper for murder, one that he bragged about in a music video. According to Polk County deputies, Lakeland resident La’Darion Chandler, age 19, shot local gang member John McGee in the back after an altercation on December 17 of last year. While McGee received hospital treatment, he ultimately succumbed to his wounds 24 days later after refusing further assistance. Polk Country Sheriff Grady Judd spoke to Fox 13 about the incident. Moreover, he spoke quite frankly about not only the situation between Chandler and McGee, but also the former’s rap video that surfaced after his arrest.

“[McGee] was going to get well and go back and seek revenge on his own against this other opposing gang member,” Judd stated regarding the deceased not cooperating with police. “What we believe is he wanted to take care of it himself. He didn’t want that gang member locked up because if he was locked up, he couldn’t get to him.” Also, he added that Chandler was on juvenile detention at the time of the shooting. Officials took him in after he pulled a firearm on someone just a few blocks from where he shot McGee. As their investigation went on, they discovered Chandler’s rap visual.

Florida Rapper Arrested For Murder After Boasting In MV

“He’s not much of a rapper,” Judd further expressed. “My rapper expert says he doesn’t sing well. He doesn’t move well. He’s just a terrible rapper. But, he’s a stupid rapper. He not only makes a rap video about shooting somebody, but he also admits to shooting the guy in the back. ‘I’m a coward rapper, that’s what I am. Watch me shoot the guy in the back.’”

Meanwhile, police still seek the murder weapon, even going so far as to offer a $5,000 reward for it. Nevertheless, authorities charged Chandler with first-degree murder. In addition, Chandler’s arrest is reportedly part of a recently instated Gang Task Force in the area. While this incident happened on a small scale when it comes to publicity, it’s a warning to bigger rappers who might find themselves in a similar situation one day if they’re as reckless. Regardless, come back to HNHH for more incidents in the rap game.

NBA YoungBoy Is Back With Another New Release, “Demon Party”: Watch

Even with a new album dropping earlier this year, YoungBoy Never Broke Again hasn’t stopped hustling when it comes to dropping fire tracks. Most recently, he released “Demon Party” this Thursday (March 2) on YouTube, accompanied by a music video that similarly exemplifies the hauntingly reflective nature of the song. “Demon Party” joins YoungBoy’s fifth studio album I Rest My Case and single “NEXT” as his first solo releases of 2023.

Although this most recent song reveals YoungBoy’s troubling life, with lyrics like “made from a jail cеll, countin’ my property,” the 23-year-old still finds ways to include his successes. Above all, he refers to himself as a “boss,” and isn’t afraid of dark forces who want to attack him. The music video itself showcases YoungBoy standing solo, and through scenery exemplifies a dichotomy between fire and ice. Even with these seemingly harsh weather conditions, the Louisiana-born rapper remains contemplative and calm throughout the video.

YoungBoy Refuses To Hold Back With Upcoming Album, “Don’t Try This At Home”

On Tuesday (February 27), YoungBoy slyly dropped “NEXT,” which exudes more of an upbeat effort. Both releases from this week are attached to the rapper’s album DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME. Last month, he took to the Rap Radar podcast to discuss his upcoming project, describing work as being “peaceful.” While YoungBoy mentioned how he refrained from getting too aggressive with his lyrics in I Rest My Case, he has no inhibitions in his new effort. He told the podcast, “I’ma talk crazy on there. I’m a show you the Murda Man. I’m gon’ talk crazy on there, but I’m letting you know though, don’t try this at home. It’s all entertainment, bruh. I’ma talk my s### and everything I talk, I’m letting you know, don’t try this at home.”

While the release date has yet to be announced for DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME, YoungBoy has so far showcased the lack of control he’s hinted at with his lyrics. You can check out the music video for “Demon Party” up above. As always, keep in touch with HNHH for the latest news on hip-hop.

Quotable Lyrics:

Get it? Hahaha, haha (‘Cause the demons party all night long)
