At this point, Ice Spice could do no wrong. Although it may be a bit of an internet meme at this point, Spice is seen as the next Princess Diana. Fans absolutely adore her, and it is easy to see why. Overall, she has been consistently putting out interesting music, and her personality is one that you can root for. She is an up-and-coming artist with lots of potential, and she has done a great job of continuing the hype. Spice’s underdog story is inspiring, and it’s been interesting to see her maneuver this newfound fame.

However, Ice Spice is not forgetting her New York roots in the process. Yesterday, we reported on how she was seen at a McDonald’s in New York. Moreover, this was the same day she had done a cover story for Billboard. It was here that she revealed how she currently owns her masters which is huge for any young artist. Additionally, in the midst of this, it was revealed that her music makes a cameo in the new Spider-Man movie. This is a huge look and more proof that Ice Spice is the hottest artist out.

Ice Spice Runs New York

Yesterday, Ice Spice was also filmed in the streets of New York, where it appears as though she was shutting things down. There was a noble goal behind this, however, as HipHopDX reported that Spice was filming a music video. As you can see, there were various fans surrounding Ice Spice, who looked to be standing on a vehicle. Overall, it looked to be quite the scene, and with Spice experiencing so much popularity, it is easy to see why these people came out to get a glimpse of the action.

For now, it remains to be seen what this music video is for. Perhaps it could be for whatever she has going on in the new Spider-Man movie. Or, she could simply be working on more new music. Lil Durk Releases J. Cole Collab, “All My Life”

A little over a week ago, Lil Durk and J. Cole previewed their new collaborative single, “All My Life.” Interestingly enough, some felt it could potentially be Lil Durk’s first number-one hit. At the time, the two rappers revealed they had also recently filmed a music video for the upcoming song. From there, Lil Durk took to Instagram and posted a snippet of the song from the video shoot, where Cole rapped along to his verse while holding the camera, surrounded by a group of children. As expected, “All My Life” is included on Durk’s new album, Almost Healed.

Surprisingly, the single was produced by legendary pop producer, Dr. Luke. In the song, Lil Durk reflects on his journey to fame and how he is determined to change the public’s perception of him. “It’s just a rap that’s just showing you what I been going through. What I been doing lately. Trying to change how I am,” Durk said in an interview with XXL. Furthermore, the rapper went on to talk about the struggle of finding the right person to feature. “Dr. Luke produced it. We were just trying to figure out like what’s the right person to put on it,” Durk said. “‘Cause it’s one of those songs where if it’s not the right person to do the second verse… I feel like Cole can bring the energy that I’m looking for to it.”

Lil Durk Gets Introspective

To say that “All My Life” is introspective or deep would be an understatement. In fact, it seems that Lil Durk is pivoting to take a route that prioritizes things like social change and community. On the track, Lil Durk talks about all manner of things from drugs to child support to children wanting to hurt themselves. The rapper goes on to speak about what he’s personally been doing to try and change the world for the better.

“I decided that I have to finish/But the media call me a menace/I done sat down with the mayor and politicians, I’m tryin’ to change up the image,” he raps over the melancholic but hopeful instrumental. Indeed, it does seem like Lil Durk has been on an upward trajectory recently, as far as his mental health and outlook on life go. NBA YoungBoy Drops Video For “B*tch Let’s Do It”

Yesterday, NBA Youngboy shared the tracklist for his upcoming mixtape, Richest Opp, on Twitter. The mixtape will consist of 17 tracks, which is a lot considering he released a 33-song album in April. However, there is a good reason for his frequent releases, as he has been on house arrest for years due to legal issues stemming from federal gun charges. Despite his house arrest, NBA Youngboy continues to achieve impressive career milestones. He recently became the youngest rapper ever to have 100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, joining the ranks of elite rappers like Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Jay-Z.

Despite his ongoing issues with Lil Durk and DJ Akademiks, the rapper is seemingly living a relatively peaceful life in Utah. However, it seems pretty clear that even living in the middle of nowhere doesn’t mean you escape celebrity feuds. Earlier, the rapper released the lyrics to a pretty scathing diss track called “F*ck The Industry Pt. 2.” In the post, he highlighted disses of huge names like Drake, J. Cole, and Lil Yachty. Now, ahead of his new release, YoungBoy has dropped the intro track and a music video.

YoungBoy Struts Around His House In New Video

The opening track of NBA YoungBoy’s mixtape Richest Opp is called “B*tch Let’s Do It.” In the song, YoungBoy raps over an aggressive beat and takes aim at Lil Durk and DJ Akademiks through several subliminal shots. The Louisiana hip-hop-influenced track sets the tone for the rest of the mixtape as YoungBoy talks about his drug and firearm dependency, as well as his connection to several murders.

The video for the track features NBA YoungBoy strutting around his beautiful Utah home. The rapper focuses solely on the track, not providing much in the way of flashy visuals. Killer Mike Unveils Tracklist, Album Art For “Michael”

Atlanta rapper Killer Mike has shared a new music video for a track off of his upcoming album, Michael. The artist has also revealed some new information on the album, including the LP’s tracklist and cover art. Michael‘s release date is June 16, 2023 via Loma Vista Recordings. The video, which pays tribute to Killer Mike’s late mother, accompanies the single “Motherless.” “Motherless” also features R&B singer Eryn Allen Kane. The new video is the second part of a two-part short film. Part one of the short film came out yesterday, for the track “Don’t Let The Devil.” The song also features his fellow Run the Jewels musician El-P and thankugoodsir.

Michael is the artist’s first solo album since his 2012 LP R.A.P. Music. He divulged that the album is his “most autobiographical” thus far. The newly-unveiled tracklist contains 14 tracks. Alongside the news of his upcoming album, Killer Mike also announced a U.S. tour in support of the record. The tour will take place this summer, making various stops in cities around the country. The 19-date tour includes shows at Apollo Theater in NYC, Showbox in Seattle, The Filmore in San Francisco, and more. The tour kicks off in Charleston, SC at The Charleston Music Hall on July 11.

Killer Mike’s Michael Revisits His Childhood

Killer Mike revealed in a statement that his mother was diagnosed as bipolar and depressed. He shares how, “when [he tells] the story of [his] mother the tales told include one when [he] walked in on her attempting to take her own life.” “[the song] gets to the heart of how deeply sensitive an artist and human she was,” he says. The moving music video aligns with the heavy subject matter in “Motherless.” Killer Mike clarified that “these aren’t meant to be sad videos or eulogies.” He instead calls the videos “a celebration of a BAD ASS BLACK GIRL from the westside of Atlanta.” The rapper also shares that his mother helped many people to “stay on their path.”

The artist’s upcoming tour comes before Run the Jewels’ 10-year-anniversary tour of their self-titled debut album. Killer Mike recently looked back on the success the pair has had, saying he “knew we were something badass.” He adds that he figured the two of them were “going to be big.”
