Chris Rock Calls Out Meghan Markle For “Racist” Royal Family Accusations: “Just Some In-Law Shit”

The last year has been an interesting one for Chris Rock. He previously found his world turned upside down following an altercation with Will Smith at the 2022 Oscars. While the comedian certainly felt the impact of the slap he received across the face from the actor, it was the latter whose career took several major hits as a result of his violent actions. Rock, on the other hand, was offered plenty of exciting opportunities, including a two-and-a-half-hour-long stand-up special.

The Netflix project finally made its debut on Saturday (March 4). As expected, the South Carolina-born entertainer didn’t hold back. On the long list of topics he addressed was obviously “Slapgate,” as it’s become known online, but that’s not all he had to vent about. Elsewhere in the lengthy performance, Rock shared his thoughts on Meghan Markle, who released a Netflix special of her own with her husband Prince Harry recently.

Chris’ Big Comedy Comeback

“Like who is this girl Meghan Markle? Seems like a nice lady, just complaining,” the Madagascar voice actor says in a video making rounds online. “Like didn’t she hit the light-skinned lottery?” He then specifically referenced comments she made during an interview with Oprah in 2022. At the time, it was revealed that a member of the Royal Family previously raised questions about what colour their first son, Archie, would be due to the actresses’ interracial lineage.

Mocking Markle, Rock ranted to his audience. “‘They’re so racist, they’re so racist.’ Some of that shit she went through was not racism. It was just some in-law shit,” he insisted. “‘Oprah, they’re so racist. They wanted to know how brown the baby was going to be.’ That’s not racist. Even Black people want to know how brown the baby going to be.”

Rock Defends the Royal Family

Apparently, in the father of two’s family, it’s customary to “check behind the ears” of a newborn. This is “because you’ve got to know what kind of black child you going to get.” The funny man then described the range from light skin, like Steph Curry, to far darker complexions, like Draymond Green’s. After dissing Markle, Rock told listeners that he still sympathizes with what she’s been going through.

“I know her dilemma: Black girl trying to be accepted by her white in-laws. Oh, it’s hard. It’s so hard – but it ain’t as hard as a white girl trying to be accepted by her black in-laws. Now that shit is really hard,” the entertainer laughed. “If you Black and you wanted to be accepted by your white in-laws then you need to marry a Kardashian because they accept everybody.” Read what Chris Rock had to say about his feud with Will Smith here, and let us know if you’ll be watching the comedy special in the comments.

“South Park” Spoof Prince Harry & Meghan Markle In New Episode

The animated, decades-long, tried-and-true animated comedy, South Park, has entered Season 26 on Comedy Central. While the show didn’t specifically name Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the second episode is a very clear and obvious nod to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The episode, titled The Worldwide Privacy Tour, was jam-packed with references to the couple and their history with the royal family. The episode tells the story of the Prince of Canada and his wife visiting the town of South Park. They loudly claim that they are seeking privacy.

The jokes focus on the fact that Harry and Meghan discuss a desire for privacy while simultaneously sharing intimate details of their life in interviews, Prince Harry’s book, and the Netflix series, Harry & Meghan. On South Park, the prince of Canada promotes his book, Waaaagh, which is a clear satire of Prince Harry’s actual autobiography, Spare. On the episode of South Park, Harry, and Meghan’s dupes walk onto Good Morning Canada holding signs saying “We want our privacy!” and “Stop looking at us!” The host claims that Markle embraces celebrity life, saying, “Some people might say that your Instagram-loving bitch wife actually doesn’t want her privacy.”

“South Park” On Harry & Meghan: Watch

In another scene of the episode, Kyle Broflovski says: “I’m sick of hearing about them! I can’t get away from them! They’re everywhere, in my f***ing face!” To which Eric Cartman replies, “We don’t care about some dumb prince and his stupid wife.” Through a “branding manager,” Harry’s South Park counterpart is described as a “Royal prince, millionaire, world traveler, victim.” His wife is labeled: “Sorority girl, actress, influencer, and victim.”

The pair even light off fireworks in South Park and chant into megaphones, “Done with the Monarchy, we deserve our privacy!” Later in the episode, the Prince of Canada goes on a rant. He says, “If it is truly what we want then we really can get away from it all. No more magazines or Netflix shows. We really can live a normal life.” He pauses. His wife says nothing. “Yes, I’m sure you agree, darling,” he continues. “We can be the people we talked about being with no more worries about how we look or the image we project to people. What matters is what we have on the inside.” The prince’s wife does not respond. He actually opens her mouth to yell “Hello?” into it. It echoes. Prince Harry Admits “Bigoted” Behaviour Before Meeting Meghan Markle

Some argue that the monarchy is an entirely dated concept. Still, though, Britain’s Royal Family has spent an abundance of time in the headlines as of late. Following the emotional death of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dropped some bombshells in their Netflix docuseries at the end of 2022.

From the Suits actress’ confession that she didn’t feel as though anyone treated her “like a Black woman” until she moved to the UK to her friendship with Beyoncé, the six-episode project covers plenty of content. However, it didn’t get through everything the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had to say. Especially not the former, who’s been spilling plenty of juicy tea about his family in recent weeks.

Ahead of his Spare memoir, Prince Harry has been making rounds on the press circuit, discussing the upcoming book. Recently, he joined Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes to discuss his work and upbringing. In the interview, the father of two reflects on the racism his wife faced from the British media.

Surprisingly, he had a personal realization to share with listeners at the same time. According to Haz, he, too, may have walked through life with racist feelings prior to meeting Markle.

“I had no idea the British press were so bigoted. Hell, I was probably bigoted before the relationship with Meghan,” he tells Cooper. Later, when asked how the American star has changed him, he sweetly said, “Put it this way. I didn’t see what I now see.”

While he’s clearly got all the praise for Markle, Harry’s older brother, Prince William hasn’t been getting as much love. According to Page Six, the younger royal takes a jab at the future King’s rapid hair loss in Spare. Apparently, he describes it as “alarming.”

Elsewhere in the book, the 38-year-old describes his sibling as his “archnemesis,” also breaking down a physical altercation they had during a confrontation about the former’s wife.

Meghan Markle On Friendship With Beyoncé: “I Still Can’t Believe She Knows Who I Am!”

Every so often, Netflix unveils a new original series that takes the world by storm. While Tim Burton’s Wednesday is definitely one of those at the moment, another recent arrival is the Harry & Meghan docuseries. The first three episodes premiered earlier in December. Now, the latter half hit the streamer on Thursday (December 15), giving us further insight into the lives of the two former royals.

Additionally, in the second half of the hit documentary, Meghan Markle briefly discusses her friendship with Beyoncé. As PEOPLE notes, the two previously met in 2019 after both working on Disney’s The Lion King remake. Paparazzi caught photos of the two hugging at the premiere. At the time, Queen B reportedly whispered “my princess” to the mother of two.

Those who saw the pair’s first meeting noticed an immediate “familiarity” between them. So much so, in fact, that many refused to believe that weren’t already kindred spirits. At the same time, Prince Harry was chatting it up with Jay-Z, who had some advice for the couple.

“The best advice I can give you, [is to] always find some time for yourself,” Hov told Markle and her husband.

Elsewhere, Beyoncé previously showed tons of love to the Suits actress following her and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey. The conversation aired back in March of 2021. It found them discussing things like losing police protection, the strain they’ve felt on their relationships with royals, and their daughter, Lilibet, who was still in utero at the time.

After the emotional interview aired, Beyoncé posted a public tribute to her on Instagram. “Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership,” the Houston native wrote. “We are all strengthened and inspired by you.”

As it turns out, the Lemonade hitmaker also sent Markle a private text with even more kind words. In the docuseries’ latest episodes, we see the couple working side by side at home when the California native announces that she’s gotten a text from her famous friend.

“I still can’t believe she knows who I am!” she went on to gush about her sweet message from the vocalist. “She said she wants me to feel safe and protected. She admires and respects my bravery and vulnerability and thinks I was selected to break generational curses that need to be healed.”

Prince Harry responded, “that’s well said.” No doubt!

Twitter Reacts To Tyler Perry Being The Godfather Of Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Daughter Lilibet

The last three episodes of Harry & Meghan dropped on Netflix Thursday, with Tyler Perry making a surprise appearance on the new docu-series. In one scene, the mega-producer revealed that he was asked to be a godfather to Lilibet, the royal couple’s newborn daughter.

“‘We’d like for you to be Lili’s godfather.’ I go, ‘Woah,’” Perry recalled in the now-viral clip. “I take a minute to take that in and I thought, ‘I’d be honored. I’d absolutely be honored.’”

Admitting that he wasn’t up for a ceremony at Buckingham Palace, though, he also shared that he called back after hanging up the phone.

“I go, ‘Hold on a second. Does this mean we gotta go over there and do all of that in the church with them and figure all that out? Because I don’t wanna do that.’”

Perry grew close with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shortly after they began to distance themselves from the royal family.

Per People, Perry hadn’t met the couple until 2020, when he offered them his Beverly Hills mansion to live in amid the drama. Staying there with their son Archie for several months, they eventually left after purchasing a home in Montecito.

Not long after the second installment of Harry & Meghan premiered, many users took to social media to detail their shock at the unlikely friendship.

One person tweeted, “I completely understand why Meghan and Harry made Tyler Perry the godfather of their child but it still feels so hilarious and random for some reason.”

“Tyler Perry being the godfather to Harry & Meghan’s daughter was yet again not on my 2022 bingo card !” another wrote.

Harry & Meghan is currently available to stream on Netflix.

Meghan Markle Was Absolutely Floored To Receive A Touching Beyoncé Text In A New Documentary Clip

Despite Beyoncé’s status as one of the most important women in the music industry, she’s known to be quite a down-to-earth, caring friend. After she collaborated with Madonna for a “Break My Soul” remix, the Renaissance performer sent the iconic singer a thoughtful thank-you note.

In the new documentary Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal, a scene spotlights Beyoncé’s kindness. The clip has been circulating Twitter, and it depicts Meghan Markle discussing her communication with the “Love On Top” singer.

“Beyoncé just texted,” she says, prompting Prince Harry to gasp. Markle says Beyoncé is “just checking in,” which bewilders Harry. “I still can’t believe she knows who I am,” she says. She explains, “She said she wants me to feel safe and protected. She admires and respects my bravery and vulnerability and thinks I was selected to break generational curses that need to be healed.” After a pause of absorbing such an insightful message, Harry says, “That’s well-said.”

One reply to the video reads: “ACTUAL ROYALTY was literally shocked that Beyoncé texted, that is power.” Another read: “‘she knows who i am’ girl bye you’re a whole princess [crying emojis].” Other replies admire the eloquence with which Beyonce shared her feelings and thoughts with Markle.

Howard Stern Claims Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Appeared As “Whiny B**ches” In New Doc

Harry & Meghan,” a six-part Netflix docuseries on the royal couple, debuted on the streaming platform earlier this month and caused a number of mixed reactions.

Howard Stern recently offered his take on the trending show, commenting that it’s been “painful to watch” and that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry appear as “whiny b***hes.”

According to Mediaite, the controversial radio host shared that he tuned into “Harry & Meghan” with his wife before slamming the couple’s portrayal on the docuseries.

“It’s been painful. I don’t…I wouldn’t stay with it, but my wife wants to watch it, so, you know, we have shows we watch, but they come off like such whiny b***hes. I gotta tell you man, I just don’t get it,” the 68-year-old commented on The Howard Stern Show.

Saying that he feels bad “for Prince Harry losing his mother and all that,” Stern added, “So you got my empathy there. But Jesus Christ, when those two start whining about ‘wah wah wah, and they don’t like me’ and she wants to be beloved in this country, but man, oh man, you know, it’s just very weird to watch two people who keep screaming, ‘We wanted our privacy, we wanted the press to leave us alone.’”

“And then what is their special that they put out on Netflix — showing you them and their kids and their life. It’s like the Kardashians except boring,” the SiriusXM host also stated.

Netflix premiered the first three episodes of “Harry & Meghan” on Dec. 8, with the last few episodes making their debut this Thursday (Dec. 15).

The pair get candid on the anticipated docuseries, discussing their relationship history, Prince Harry’s late mother Princess Diana, and life in the public eye.

According to Deadline, “Harry & Meghan” proved to be great for Netflix’s ratings, with the first episode pulling in over two million viewers.

Meghan Markle Says She Wasn’t Treated “Like A Black Woman” Until UK Move

Marrying into royalty may sound like a dream come true. However, Netflix’s new Harry & Meghan docuseries proves that for one famous couple, it was anything but. On Thursday (December 8), the streaming service premiered the first three episodes of the long-awaited project. One of them finds Meghan Markle discussing how the treatment towards her shifted upon moving to the UK.

Throughout the show, the Suits alum discusses how she spent much of her life with others seeing her as a white woman. At one point, she even recalled times from her childhood when people would stop her darker-skinned mother, Doria Ragland. They would surprisingly ask her whose baby she was carrying around due to their difference in colour.

According to Markle, it wasn’t until her relationship with Prince Harry began making rounds in the media that her race became something of prominence. “At that time, I wasn’t thinking about how race played a part in any of this,” she said of the beginning of their romance. “I genuinely didn’t think about it.”

“It’s very different to be a minority but not be treated as a minority right off the bat,” the activist went on to explain. “I’d say now, people are very aware of my race because they made it such an issue when I went to the UK. But before that, most people didn’t treat me like a ‘Black woman.’ So that talk didn’t happen for me.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Ragland speaks of cautioning her daughter of the rampant racism headed her way. “I said to her very clearly, I said, ‘This is about race.’ And Meg said, ‘Mommy, I don’t want to hear that,’” she shared.

“I said, ‘You may not want to hear it, but this is what’s coming down the pike,’” Markle’s mother added.

Additionally, Prince Harry was expressing frustration at how his family refused to offer protection to the woman that he loves. “Some of the members of the family were like, ‘But my wife had to go through that so why should your girlfriend be treated any differently?” he vented.

“Why should you get special treatment? Why should she be protected?’ I said, ‘The difference here, is the race element,’” the father of two declared.

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle “Uninvited” to State Reception at Buckingham Palace

image1 2

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were reportedly “uninvited” to a state reception hosted by King Charles on Sunday.  The Duke and Duchess received an invitation to the event earlier this week, but palace officials say the reception is for working royals only.

The confusion over whether Harry and Meghan will attend the receptions follows mixed messaging over the Prince’s right to wear a military uniform during funeral events.

Meanwhile, crowds of mourners continued to line up to view her coffin in Westminster Abbey, some waiting up to 14 hours to pay their respects.

Great Britain also observed a national minute of silence for The Queen.  A muted Big Ben rang its bells at 8 p.m. to mark the start of a national moment of reflection.
