Meghan Markle Accused Of Faking Interviews

More and more news keeps coming out regarding Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and their doomed Spotify podcast venture. Previously, the audio company and industry professionals ridiculed the estranged royal family members for not producing enough content to satisfy the $20 million agreement. (Hence why Spotify decided not to renew the contract.) Now there’s talk that Meghan didn’t even interview many of her podcast guests. Originally reported by Podnews, many sources claim her staffers conducted the actual interviews. Meghan then dubbed her voice asking the questions into the dialogue.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex launched Archewell Audio — a reference to their son’s name, Archie — in 2022, where Meghan’s podcast Archetypes lived. During its brief, unfortunate run, it only reached 12 episodes. Spotify executives, like The Ringer’s Bill Simmons, expected the duo to provide much more content than what it ultimately came up with. In fact, Mr. Simmons is on record on his own podcast calling Harry and Meghan, “f*cking grifters.” For context, Bill Simmons produces two to three podcast episodes weekly for The Bill Simmons Podcast, as well as one to two guest appearances on other podcasts. In other words, there’s no excuse for Harry and Meghan’s lack of production.

Meghan Markle’s Blacklisting

It sounds like Meghan Markle is notorious for not doing her own work and then slapping her name on the final product. In 2022, writer Alison Yarrow commended a specific Archetypes producer for their excellent interviewing skills. They then edited that audio so that it sounded like Meghan interviewed Yarrow, despite it being a bald-faced lie. Harry and Meghan also failed to police any sort of COVID-19 information, another feather in the cap Spotify used to justify ending the partnership.

Meghan Markle potentially made more than the most-streamed Spotify song of all time — The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” — for what amounted to 12 hours of podcasting. This is a sobering fact, one that will make Spotify execs think twice before offering huge contracts to unheralded podcasting talent. As for Meghan, she hopes to find a new home for Archetypes, though that might be a daunting task as these tidbits of contention continue to surface.

Harry and Meghan In Danger? Many Express Doubt About Alleged Car Chase

Whoopi Goldberg didn’t seem convinced about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s description of a “near catastrophic” car chase they experienced. During an episode of The View, Goldberg joked about the incident. She remarked, “If it was possible to have car chases in New York, we’d all make it to the theater on time.” The host expressed doubt that the incident reached the level of severity portrayed by their spokesperson. Her co-host Joy Behar chimed in, pointing out that even ambulances aren’t able to get through traffic in New York.

TV host Megyn Kelly also weighed in on the incident during her SiriusXM show. She suggested that Harry and Meghan were exaggerating the situation to garner attention. Bethenny Frankel expressed skepticism as well, referring to the couple as “babies who want attention.” However, she acknowledged that the situation sounded scary. “Perhaps this was the worst car chase since Princess Diana, but people have a hard time believing it,” Frenkel said. “It’s a story that keeps being pushed.” She then encouraged the couple to take precautions to avoid such circumstances in the future.

Harry and Meghan’s Spokesperson Paints A Very Dramatic Picture

Harry and Meghan’s spokesperson released a lengthy statement about the alleged incident. “This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians, and two NYPD officers,” the spokesperson said. “While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone’s safety. Dissemination of these images, given the ways in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that is dangerous to all involved.”

Harry and Meghan have demanded that the agency that employs the paparazzi members involved hand over the footage. However, they have refused. “In America, as I’m sure you know, property belongs to the owner of it. Third parties cannot just demand it be given to them, as perhaps Kings can do,” said the agency’s lawyer. “You should sit down with your client and advise them that his English rules of royal prerogative to demand that the citizenry hand over their property to the Crown were rejected by this country long ago. We stand by our founding fathers.” It is certainly a dramatic statement, but it is also no doubt effective. What do you think of the situation? Is the couple exaggerating? Sound off in the comments!

“South Park” Spoof Prince Harry & Meghan Markle In New Episode

The animated, decades-long, tried-and-true animated comedy, South Park, has entered Season 26 on Comedy Central. While the show didn’t specifically name Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the second episode is a very clear and obvious nod to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The episode, titled The Worldwide Privacy Tour, was jam-packed with references to the couple and their history with the royal family. The episode tells the story of the Prince of Canada and his wife visiting the town of South Park. They loudly claim that they are seeking privacy.

The jokes focus on the fact that Harry and Meghan discuss a desire for privacy while simultaneously sharing intimate details of their life in interviews, Prince Harry’s book, and the Netflix series, Harry & Meghan. On South Park, the prince of Canada promotes his book, Waaaagh, which is a clear satire of Prince Harry’s actual autobiography, Spare. On the episode of South Park, Harry, and Meghan’s dupes walk onto Good Morning Canada holding signs saying “We want our privacy!” and “Stop looking at us!” The host claims that Markle embraces celebrity life, saying, “Some people might say that your Instagram-loving bitch wife actually doesn’t want her privacy.”

“South Park” On Harry & Meghan: Watch

In another scene of the episode, Kyle Broflovski says: “I’m sick of hearing about them! I can’t get away from them! They’re everywhere, in my f***ing face!” To which Eric Cartman replies, “We don’t care about some dumb prince and his stupid wife.” Through a “branding manager,” Harry’s South Park counterpart is described as a “Royal prince, millionaire, world traveler, victim.” His wife is labeled: “Sorority girl, actress, influencer, and victim.”

The pair even light off fireworks in South Park and chant into megaphones, “Done with the Monarchy, we deserve our privacy!” Later in the episode, the Prince of Canada goes on a rant. He says, “If it is truly what we want then we really can get away from it all. No more magazines or Netflix shows. We really can live a normal life.” He pauses. His wife says nothing. “Yes, I’m sure you agree, darling,” he continues. “We can be the people we talked about being with no more worries about how we look or the image we project to people. What matters is what we have on the inside.” The prince’s wife does not respond. He actually opens her mouth to yell “Hello?” into it. It echoes. Meghan Markle On Friendship With Beyoncé: “I Still Can’t Believe She Knows Who I Am!”

Every so often, Netflix unveils a new original series that takes the world by storm. While Tim Burton’s Wednesday is definitely one of those at the moment, another recent arrival is the Harry & Meghan docuseries. The first three episodes premiered earlier in December. Now, the latter half hit the streamer on Thursday (December 15), giving us further insight into the lives of the two former royals.

Additionally, in the second half of the hit documentary, Meghan Markle briefly discusses her friendship with Beyoncé. As PEOPLE notes, the two previously met in 2019 after both working on Disney’s The Lion King remake. Paparazzi caught photos of the two hugging at the premiere. At the time, Queen B reportedly whispered “my princess” to the mother of two.

Those who saw the pair’s first meeting noticed an immediate “familiarity” between them. So much so, in fact, that many refused to believe that weren’t already kindred spirits. At the same time, Prince Harry was chatting it up with Jay-Z, who had some advice for the couple.

“The best advice I can give you, [is to] always find some time for yourself,” Hov told Markle and her husband.

Elsewhere, Beyoncé previously showed tons of love to the Suits actress following her and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey. The conversation aired back in March of 2021. It found them discussing things like losing police protection, the strain they’ve felt on their relationships with royals, and their daughter, Lilibet, who was still in utero at the time.

After the emotional interview aired, Beyoncé posted a public tribute to her on Instagram. “Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership,” the Houston native wrote. “We are all strengthened and inspired by you.”

As it turns out, the Lemonade hitmaker also sent Markle a private text with even more kind words. In the docuseries’ latest episodes, we see the couple working side by side at home when the California native announces that she’s gotten a text from her famous friend.

“I still can’t believe she knows who I am!” she went on to gush about her sweet message from the vocalist. “She said she wants me to feel safe and protected. She admires and respects my bravery and vulnerability and thinks I was selected to break generational curses that need to be healed.”

Prince Harry responded, “that’s well said.” No doubt!

Twitter Reacts To Tyler Perry Being The Godfather Of Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Daughter Lilibet

The last three episodes of Harry & Meghan dropped on Netflix Thursday, with Tyler Perry making a surprise appearance on the new docu-series. In one scene, the mega-producer revealed that he was asked to be a godfather to Lilibet, the royal couple’s newborn daughter.

“‘We’d like for you to be Lili’s godfather.’ I go, ‘Woah,’” Perry recalled in the now-viral clip. “I take a minute to take that in and I thought, ‘I’d be honored. I’d absolutely be honored.’”

Admitting that he wasn’t up for a ceremony at Buckingham Palace, though, he also shared that he called back after hanging up the phone.

“I go, ‘Hold on a second. Does this mean we gotta go over there and do all of that in the church with them and figure all that out? Because I don’t wanna do that.’”

Perry grew close with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shortly after they began to distance themselves from the royal family.

Per People, Perry hadn’t met the couple until 2020, when he offered them his Beverly Hills mansion to live in amid the drama. Staying there with their son Archie for several months, they eventually left after purchasing a home in Montecito.

Not long after the second installment of Harry & Meghan premiered, many users took to social media to detail their shock at the unlikely friendship.

One person tweeted, “I completely understand why Meghan and Harry made Tyler Perry the godfather of their child but it still feels so hilarious and random for some reason.”

“Tyler Perry being the godfather to Harry & Meghan’s daughter was yet again not on my 2022 bingo card !” another wrote.

Harry & Meghan is currently available to stream on Netflix.
