Whoopi Goldberg Confirms 'Sister Act 3,' Wants Lizzo and Nicki Minaj in the Movie

The View’s co-hosts, Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin, have followed Oprah Winfrey, who spoke out in her televised special An Oprah Special: Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution, which debuted on ABC on March 18 and the next day on Hulu, about using popular weight loss medications on the market.

Deadline reports that Goldberg said she made the health decision after weighing nearly 300 while filming the 2022 movie Till. “I weighed almost 300 pounds when I was made Till,” Goldberg said while the Hot Topics segment aired on ABC’s The View. Goldberg starred in the film about the lynch-style murder of Emmett Till.

Get this, Goldberg back in 2021 suffered severe back pain and had to be treated with steroids to aid in her recovery process but also lead to more weight gain.“I had taken all those steroids and was on all this stuff,” Goldberg said, “and one of the things that helps me drop the weight is Mounjaro.” Okay, so if you didn’t know, Mounjaro is a prescription weight loss medication in the same world as Ozempic.

Goldberg said she didn’t realize her gain of all the pounds. “I just always felt like me, and then I saw me and I was like, Oh, that’s a lot of me.” Hostin then added she dropped 40 pounds after her own prescribed regimen of Mounjaro. “During Covid I gained 40 pounds,” the co-host said. “All I did was eat. I love to cook and I found out I love to eat. And I was horrified by the fact that I would have to come out on air. So I took Mounjaro.”

Deadline goes on to report that Hostin said the reaction from the public regarding her weight loss was unpleasant, which came as a surprise. “I got all these nasty emails saying you’re too skinny and why did you do this and you’re taking the drug away from diabetics. So there is shame when you’ve gained weight and I had never experienced that kind of shame before. And what I loved about what she [Oprah] said is obesity is a disease…” Right there, Joy Behar The View co-host jumped in and said, “Wait a minute. How is it a disease when you were just eating everything?”

Hostin explained, “I didn’t have the disease, I wasn’t clinically obese.”

“I was,” Goldberg confirmed. In February, Winfrey announced she was leaving the board of directors at WeightWatchers after nine years and was donating her stock to the company to ensure there was no potential conflict of interest after admitting she used weight-loss medications. Good on everyone for their honesty all around, when quite frankly, their health is not anyone else business.

Starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galatzine, it follows a woman dating a pop superstar much younger than her, which made Whoopi reflect on her thoughts on age gaps. “I’ve gone up and down,” she remarked. “Because your age is not what’s going to get me into your arms. It’s not your age that I’m concerned about. Unless you’re under 18, in which case I can’t.” When co-host Joy Behar said a big age gap “could be problematic,” the 68-year-old replied with a shocking revelation.

“One of the last relationships I had, he was 40 years older than me,” Whoopi Goldberg told her bewildered co-hosts. What’s more is that we technically already knew this about the Raven-Symoné admirer back when they were just rumors that her granddaughter spread. “She had a boyfriend that was, like, 90 years old, and she used to go hang out with him,” Amara Skye said of Whoopi on an ABC game show. “Some old white man named John, and he was like a billionaire. “No one knew about that,” Skye told USA Today, expressing regret over telling Whoopi Goldberg’s story for her. “I barely found out about that. So I was just like, ‘Oh, man. The long-promised release of the Jeffrey Epstein documents occurred on Wednesday. According to CNN, this is the first set of docs to be released, which will have a total of 200 names of people who interacted with the deceased sex trafficker.

The documents are expected to list nearly 200 names, including accusers, businesspeople, politicians, and more.

The initial documents did not bring shock, but records showed Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and Michael Jackson had interactions with Epstein, according to The Blast. Clinton was stated to have dinner with a woman on Epstein’s island. A woman stated she met The King of Pope at Epstein’s home in Palm Beach.

Insider the document is a deposition from Joanna Sjoberg, who stated she was touched by Prince Andrew on her breast while taking photos, and she also was told Clinton “likes them young, referring to girls.”

Clinton’s spokesman confirmed a visit in 2019 but was unaware of “terrible crimes.” Representatives for Prince Andrew have not made a statement.

Joy Behar did not hold back her thoughts on The View as the panel recently unearthed tweets from Travis Kelce that showed the NFL star expressing some immature thoughts about women during his college career. As a self-avowed Swiftie, Behar became immediately concerned for Taylor Swift and got very blunt that she hopes the pop sensation breaks up with Kelce.

“Here’s one of his [tweets], ‘Damn, the Clippers girls gotta be the girls that don’t make the Lakers team ’cause they was all ugly,’” Behar read during Thursday’s episode of the talk show.

She then read two more of his old tweets: “Why can’t girls hide they back fat?” and “I feel like if you want to be a cheerleader, you have to pass a beauty test. There’s too many ugly cheerleaders out here.”

Behar did not hide her disgust with Kelce’s old tweets and called him “illiterate.” However, Whoopi Goldberg came to Kelce’s defense.

“Young people do young people stuff,” Goldberg said. “What you said 25 years ago, may not be the way that you feel this time. So everybody needs to lighten up and let these people do what they want to do.”

When Goldberg pressed Behar on why she was so “fixated” on Kelce’s social media posts, The View co-host affirmed her Taylor Swift fandom.

“I’m a Swiftie,” Behar said. “I love her because she’s getting young people out to vote so I don’t want her to be stuck with this idiot.”

While new evidence has come to light that shows the selfie-takers were being pretty obnoxious, The View panel was notably divided on who was out of line: Lambert or the fans. Sunny Hostin argued that she’s “going to take as many selfies as I want if I paid $757 for tickets,” which did not go over well with Whoopi Goldberg.
