Nipsey Hussle’s Brother Faces Intimidation Accusations Amid Royalty Legal Battle

Nipsey Hussle’s legacy will never fade, and though recent developments when it comes to his catalog seem disheartening, hopefully they can resolve to honor the respect he showed other artists. Moreover, in a legal battle concerning songwriting credit and royalties, his brother faces accusations of mishandling the whole ordeal. For those unaware, the rapper’s family member is in control of his estate, which means he has a say in his discography. In this specific case. Tasleema Yasin motioned to receive profit shares of the song “Hussle & Motivate” shortly after Nip’s passing in 2019, alleging that she helped write it three years prior. Also, she claimed to additionally perform an “ascending four-note vocal phrase featured throughout the song’s runtime, as well as a countermelody in [her] higher register featured prominently during the song’s chorus.” Both parties previously indicated that they reached an agreement last year.

However, in new court documents reportedly obtained by Radar Online, Yasin apparently accused Nipsey Hussle’s brother of not following up on their settlement. “Regrettably, the opposing party has thus far delayed the fulfillment of their obligations under the contract,” the lawsuit allegedly reads. “They are in breach of its terms. Hence, Yasin is under no ongoing obligation to refrain from submitting her claims against the aforementioned parties and estate. The original agreement with the Estate is deemed void due to multiple breaches. Ms. Yasin no longer seeks enforcement of this breached agreement. Instead, she is seeking damages as a result of these breaches and wishes to negotiate a new agreement that will protect her interests moving forward.

Furthermore, Yasin claimed that Nipsey Hussle’s brother attacked her with “profanity, insults and derogatory language.” In addition, she alleged that he used “pressure tactics such as threats, intimidation, verbal abuse, insults, gaslighting.” Back in April of this year, the Los Angeles MC’s estate dodged Yasin’s $5 million lawsuit over this. While she initially filed this in December of last year, a judge dismissed it when she didn’t respond to a court order to explain why authorities should hear her out. “The file in this case lacks the papers that would show it is being timely prosecuted, as reflected below,” Judge Stephen V. Wilson ruled. “Accordingly, the Court, on its own motion, hereby orders plaintiff(s) to show cause in writing no later than April 4, 2023 why this action should not be dismissed as to all remaining defendants, for lack of prosecution.

Regardless of all this conflict, the Crenshaw legend still serves as a model of inspiration and praise. Hopefully this reopening of this matter results in proper compensation and preservation of these artistic integrities. If not, we could be in for a nasty redo. Megan Thee Stallion’s 1501 Legal Battle: Hot Girl Facing Harassment Accusations From Former Label

Coming out on top in a legal battle is one thing, but actually securing the funds you’ve won is another. Pop culture fanatics have seen this play out firsthand between Cardi B and Tasha K since the former won her defamation lawsuit for $4 million, and Megan Thee Stallion made it clear that she refuses to end up in the same situation with her former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. As Radar Online reports, industry executive Carl Crawford is taking legal action against the “Big Ole Freak” rapper, accusing her of seeking a third party to manage 1501’s money in “bad faith and solely for harassment.”

A few months back, Thee Stallion publicly claimed that Crawford’s label had less than $10,000 in its main bank account. As a result of the alleged situation, she’s feeling uncertain about their ability to pay up should she win in their ongoing legal battle. For his part, the former athlete has accused the black haired beauty of spreading rumours that are “groundless and frivolous.” In addition, Crawford insisted that 1501 has “sufficient assets” to pay Megan, should they be required to.

Megan Thee Stallion Has Long Had Problems with 1501 Certified Entertainment

“To gain an unfair advantage in this proceeding, Ms. Pete and her counsel falsely and publicly misrepresented 1501’s financial state in an attempt to both strangle 1501’s business operations and drag Mr. Crawford’s reputation by forcing him to litigate this case in his individual capacity,” the execs lawyers have said. He’s hoping for a judge to sanction Thee Stallion for speaking out, but only time will tell what the courts have to say.

Even with all the stress generated in her life from 1501, Megan Thee Stallion isn’t ruining her Halloween spirit. As has become a tradition since her rise to fame, the Houston native kicked off the month of October with her annual pumpkin head photos that only continue to get better each year. Cardi B And Tasha K’s Legal Battle At A Standstill

Last year, a judge awarded Cardi B nearly $4 million in her defamation lawsuit against Tasha K. Back in May, the internet personality filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and her documents unveiled her assets. It quickly became clear that the gossip blogger had no way of paying off her debt to Cardi anytime soon.

In August, Tasha K offered the rapper just a small fraction of what she owes her, $220k. She proposed this as part of a payment plan, which had to be submitted within a month of her bankruptcy filing. The “Bongos” performer turned down her offer. She stated that Tasha K had chances to take back the damaging claims she made about her, but didn’t. “Defendant was given multiple opportunities to retract the false and defamatory statements and videos, but Defendant steadfastly refused to do so,” Cardi’s objection filed by her lawyer reads.

Michael Jackson’s Estate Resolves Legal Battle Over Allegedly Stolen Belongings

Jeffre Phillips was accused by Michael Jackson’s estate of stealing roughly $1 million worth of property from the late performer. Allegedly he entered his home after he passed in 2009, as he had previously been engaged to Jackson’s sibling, LaToya. According to the estate, the stolen items included CDs, DVDs, letters, awards, hard drives, and more.

They also said they believed Phillips planned on selling the items, and had moved forward in getting a judge’s help to recover the property. Now, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the two parties have settled. The details surrounding their settlement remain unknown. It’s additionally unclear whether or not the estate was able to recover the items.

Among the items believed to be stolen was also a sweet handwritten note from MJ’s son, Prince. Recently, the 26-year-old opened up about watching his father struggle with his appearance. He shut down allegations that his father wanted to be white, revealing that he wanted to “glow” instead.

“He had a skin condition called vitiligo,” Prince began. “I think it was even on the autopsy report. I think the cause of it– it’s up for speculation. But it’s either vitiligo or some form of lupus that contributed to the vitiligo. And he had a lot of insecurity around, kind of, looking blotchy. So, he wanted to see if he could smooth out his appearance. I think that ‘glowing’ may have also had something to do with it because he was visionary I guess in the way that he thought.” What do you think of MJ’s estate settling with Jeffre Phillips? Nipsey Hussle’s Baby Mama Allegedly Has “Unapproved” Recording Of Their Daughter

Nipsey Hussle’s ex, Tanisha Foster, continues to battle the late artist’s estate in court. Over the years, their legal back and forth has primarily surrounded the custody of their 14-year-old daughter, Emani. Most recently, Emani’s legal advocate, William Spiller, accused Foster of being in possession of an “unlawful” recording of the teen.

Though it remains unclear exactly what the recording is, Spiller notes that any conversation he has with Emani is protected under the law, and her having the recording is in violation of their attorney-client privilege. He claims that she’s failed to relinquish the tape, which he calls “surreptitious, unlawful, [and] unapproved.”

“It cannot be stressed enough that such a recording is unlawful,” Spiller emphasizes. He wants sanctions adding up to $2,500 filed against her, but according to her, she doesn’t have to pay up. Foster is now working to try to get Spiller removed from his position as Emani’s guardian ad litem, though she failed to specify a reason why. Nipsey Hussle’s family members are Emani’s primary legal guardians, after a judge ruled in 2019 not to give Foster guardianship. Instead, Nipsey’s siblings Samantha Smith and Sam Asghedom as well as his mother Angelique Smith, were given custody. At the time, they described Foster as being “unfit” to be Emani’s primary guardian.

His estate has also gone back and forth with the mother of his other child in the past, Lauren London. Regardless, both of his children are expected to inherit around $1 million from their late father. London and Foster continue to celebrate Nipsey after his 2021 death, with various heartfelt social media posts. What do you think of the legal battle between Nipsey’s ex and his estate? Nicki Minaj’s Husband Claims Alleged Rape Victim Is Trying To Humiliate Him

Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty is accused of sexually assaulting Jennifer Hough back in 1994. He previously took a plea deal in the case, but she alleges that he’s been violating it. Hough accuses Petty of attempting to intimidate and harass her, claiming that it’s had a negative impact on her life. Recently, she moved to amend her complaint, adding new evidence to strengthen her case.

The evidence includes various images from around the time of the alleged incident. The photos showcase wounds on Hough’s neck, as well as the knife allegedly used. Petty’s team claims that the evidence was put forth in an attempt to humiliate him to appease Hough’s lawyer. They also say that Hough and her team filing the exhibit publicly and making statements about the photos prove this. They claim that the motion was made in bad faith. Hough’s lawyer Tyrone Blackburn, however, has other ideas.

He claims that Hough has been accused of lying, now gaining the opportunity to prove her case with new evidence. “Now, [Hough] has secured confirming evidence… she is somehow ‘acting in bad faith,’” he explains. “If anything, [Hough] is acting in good faith, as she is solidifying a position that she has had concerning the rape in 1994, which is that she did not ‘lie on that man [Defendant Petty].”

“Petty did not come forward to clear the record when his wife went on her Queen Radio program and accused [Hough] of lying,” Blackburn also adds. “Accused [Hough] of being a white woman, saying ‘white equals right,’ and disgustingly insinuating that Plaintiff is comparable to Carolyn Bryant, the white woman who wrongfully accused Emmett Till.” Hough has also filed a $20 million lawsuit against Petty for allegedly harassing her over the years to recant her allegations. Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty.

Mo3’s Estate Battles With Engineer, Claims He Stole Late Rapper’s Vocal Tracks

Back in 2020, Mo3 met an untimely death after he was shot on a Dallas freeway at the age of 28. Following his passing, rumors circulated surrounding the circumstances leading up to his death. Some reports suggest that the rapper could have been followed after leaving a woman’s house that day. Reportedly, Mo3 crashed his car after realizing what was going on, and the man following him chased him on foot for a while before shooting him. Sadly, Mo3 passed away that same day in the hospital.

The events leading up to his murder aren’t the only thing to spark controversy as of late. The rapper’s estate is now claiming that a recording engineer, Ray Gene Bollin, is holding some of his unreleased vocal tracks hostage. They say that although Mo3 would frequently use Bollin’s studio to record, he had little to do with the music he created. Apparently, his contribution was limited to “setting up a microphone and pushing the record button,” under the “specific direction, guidance, and control” of Mo3.

Mo3’s Estate Says Bollin Tried To Sell Recordings Without Permission

Mo3’s estate is now in a legal battle with Bollin, fighting to reclaim the allegedly stolen vocal tracks. According to them, he even approached Empire, looking to sell the stolen recordings. Bollin claims to be seeking unpaid studio fees, on top of royalties, “licensing fees,” and more. Initially, he was asking for $10,000- $20,000 for the studio fees. He then went on to ask for over $600,000 for all the fees combined.

The estate has now dubbed the engineer an “opportunistic interloper.” Mo3’s mother, Nichole Noble, also claims that Bollin wished her a happy mother’s day amid the drama. “If you want to [make] me happy please give me my son’s music. I am having to go through too much as is,” she later responded.

Jorge Masvidal Alleges Police Sided With Covington

The aftermath of the altercation between MMA stars Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington in March 2022 has slowly unfolded over recent months. According to reports, Masvidal allegedly attacked Covington outside a Miami Beach restaurant 17 days after he lost to Covington at UFC 272. Footage of the incident quickly emerged online and Masvidal was charged with two felonies.

More details have since surfaced. Covington has claimed Masvidal broke his tooth and gave him brain damage. Covington has not fought in the Octagon since his March 2022 bout with Masvidal. However, he is rumored to be the next opponent for welterweight champion Leon Edwards. All this comes during a legal battle for Masvidal, who pled not guilty to both charges. Masvidal has also since retired, following a brutal loss at UFC 287. However, Masvidal has now hit back with new claims about the incident.

New Court Documents Show New Masvidal Claim

According to court documents acquired by TMZ, Masvidal has made some bombshell claims regarding the March 2022 incident. Notably, he has claimed that the Miami Beach Police Department showed “favoritism” towards Covington. According to Masvidal, Covington did not call 911 but a Miami Beach sergeant he trained with. Additionally, Masvidal claimed that when said sergeant arrived, he called in a “Code 3”. Code 3 is a police response code for an incident that “is defined as an emergency response determined by factors such as immediate danger to officer or public safety.” He also alleges that the unnamed sergeant made calls to individual officers to request their presence. Furthermore, Masvidal claims that in a podcast appearance prior to the incident, Covington said that he “rolls with the Miami Beach Police Department.”

As a result of the new claims, Masvidal’s attorney Bradford Cohen is making several demands. He wants several new pieces of evidence, including Covington’s podcast comments, entered into the court record. In a statement Cohen said, “From our investigation and witness depositions it’s clear that protocol was not followed that evening and Mr. Covington received preferential treatment.” These shocking claims, to which the MBPD had not responded to at the time of writing, could completely redefine Masvidal’s legal proceedings. Masvidal is due to next appear in court in May.

Tiger Woods’ Lawyers Speak Out Amid Legal Battle With Ex Erica Herman

PGA Tour star Tiger Woods is making headlines after allegedly tricking his ex-girlfriend, Erica Herman, into leaving his Jupiter, Florida mansion where they lived together for six years. According to reports, Herman, 38, is suing the 47-year-old professional golfer following their breakup in October for $30 million amid claims she had an oral agreement with Woods’ “Jupiter Island Irrevocable Homestead Trust,” which is the legal owner of his mansion. The alleged agreement Herman stated allowed her to live at the property for 11 years and claims there is a “breach of duty” that has left her suffering “severe” emotional damages.

Herman’s lawsuit, handled by the 19th Judicial Circuit Court in Martin County, Florida, claims she should have been allowed to live in the property for five more years and that Woods is “terrified” over claims of “another scandal.” In the alleged oral agreement, Herman claims she provided “valuable services” at Woods’ request as part of the “oral tenancy agreement” to reside at the Florida mansion for the specified duration. However, the athlete’s lawyers told officials that the two never had a written or oral tenancy agreement and that his ex lived at the Florida residence as a “guest.”

In addition, they claim the trust owns “only a limited remainder interest” in his Florida mansion. The report adds that Herman’s specified grievances are against Woods and not the Jupiter Island Irrevocable Homestead Trust that owns the home. Attorneys for the 15-time major golf champion reportedly filed a motion to intervene amid claims that Herman sued the trust to avoid an agreement she had made with Woods to arbitrate all disputes.

According to ESPN, Herman, who worked as a general manager of Woods’ restaurant before entering into a personal relationship with him, is requesting a judge to remove her from an NDA she signed back in August 2017. Herman states the nondisclosure agreement, reportedly signed by both Woods and the plaintiff, was wrongfully forced upon her and cited the “Speak Out Act.” In her court filings, she alleged that the 82-time PGA Tour winner sexually abused her. Reports say that there were no provided details as to what the alleged abuse entailed.

According to the latest court filing notes, Woods started arbitration proceedings on Dec. 22 to establish that Herman has no right to live in his residence and is not entitled to monetary damages from him. However, ESPN reports those proceedings stopped on Jan. 26 after Herman stated her claims alleging breach of an oral tenancy agreement involve a “sexual harassment dispute” and cannot be compelled to arbitrate. Check back in with HNHH later for any updates on the tense situation.
